Guest Reviews
- Rino (10/5): Perfekter Aufenthalt. - Das älteste Haus im Dorf, 500 jährig. Sehr charmant und gut gepflegt. Super nette Leute und leckeres Frühstück. Komme gerne wieder! -
- Walter (10/5): kommen sicher wieder - supper freundliche Begrüssung.schönes zimmer.sehr gutes abendessen.frühstück auch sehr gut
- Iris (10/5): -
- m4rylu1 (10/5): - Sehr liebevolles Frühstück und sehr feines Essen
- Maia (9/5): Absolutely worth a stay - great food! - We loved our stay at Gassa 95. We booked late for the winter sports week, but the owner was very kind and added an extra twin bed to our room so it could sleep 3. The food was absolutely wonderful. The beet and goat cheese salad was out of this world, and the plum sorbet with vieille prune eau-de-vie was wonderful. I also had the best lamb racks of my life. The owner was more than willing to work with the restrictions of Celiac disease so that was exceptionally appreciated. Breakfast included fresh baked bread, home made preserves, and even some home cured meats. The location is fantastic, just a ways up the hill from the village square - not too far uphill to be a burden even with carrying skis. It was even possible to park right outside the hotel as a space was available. We would book Gassa 95 again in a heartbeat and try to get the room that has a private bath. Of course the spa in Vals is amazing and you can get discount passes from the B&B. Sharing a bathroom was the only down side, but it worked out. In such a historic building it is understandable why it is not particularly feasible to have private bathrooms. The room did have a sink in it which made sharing a bathroom less of a challenge.
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert. Alles in bester Ordnung.
- Manuela (8/5): Sehr angenehm - Frühstück war sehr gut, Lage im Ort sehr gut, Parkplatz vorhanden

- Alexander (9/5): Eine Auszeit in Valser Gastfreundschaft und Gemütlichkeit - Urige, charmante Unterkunft, liebevoll und sehr persönlich geführt.
Top class
- Claudia (10/5): -
- Victor (10/5): Excellent accueil. À refaire. -
- Marie (9/5): - I can really recommend this small B&B, perfectly located in the middle of Vals. The house is very old, but the amenities are good and everything is very clean. The breakfast was very nice with local products, we really enjoyed! The owner Mr. Corsin really looked after us and I can nothing but recommend staying here. I cant think of anything.
- Ulrich (10/5): -
- Lucia (10/5): - Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Gastwirt. Sehr feines selbstgemachtes Essen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!
- Serena (9/5): Grazie! Posto incantevole, accoglienza calda.
- Marlene (9/5): Good alternative if you want to go to the spa in Vals but don’t want to go to the spa‘s hotel - It’s a nice located place with a great breakfast. The room is nice, too. It’s a personal atmosphere. I can recommend! You just need to know that it’s a shared bathroom. When I was there it wasn’t crowded, though.
- Tina (10/5): -
Selbst gebackenes frisches Brot bekommt man selten.
- David (10/5): - It's been my second stay ar Gassa 95 and I can recommend this place highly. Service and welcome are amazing, the evening dinner is breathtaking and the house is historic with a comfy touch that I personally loved. Everything is so well managed by the owner who will make you feel "at home"
Bevor man so unfreundlich abnimmt.
- Lorenza (10/5): Ottimo e piacevole soggiorno! indirizzo consigliabile - Edificio storico molto bello. Abbiamo apprezzato l’accoglienza del gestore: presente e disponibile. Camere spaziose e pulite. Ottima colazione. Ottimo ristorante all‘interno della struttura. Niente

- Giacomo (10/5): Exceptional - The B&B is beautiful and the two owners are both very good, kind and polite people.
Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely incredible: for dinner I had the best schnitzel of my life and in the morning the home-made bread was fantastic.
I am looking further to find an occasion to come back!
- Susan (10/5): Wonderful, clean, delicious and relaxing! -
- Paul (10/5): Friendly, welcoming, turns out owner is a professional chef... - Great food as well for supper.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josephine (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (10/5): A little gem nested in the Swiss mountains - As being an architect, Vals was on my to do list for a long time. I stayed at BB Gassa 95 for 3 nights. The room was big, comfortable, clean and had lots of character. The cute little restaurant was perfect after a long day on the slopes or at the therme. The friendly owner is also a talented Chef and bakes his own bread. I can only recommend to stay at this charming place!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Marin (10/5): 1 night stay in B&B Gassa 95 - We liked the cosiness of this old house. It has a long history, which we could see on the photos and the owner was very nice.
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keqin (10/5): A deep Swiss experience in elite village dining and hospitality! - Mr Albin is a first-class hotelier who provides a very warm welcome with fascinating historical background information about this 500 year old house as well as outstanding cuisine that he himself prepares. A jewel of a restaurant in a charming village with Zumthor’s thermal baths masterpiece. None.
- Karel (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely friendly and nice host. Beautiful small restaurant downstairs.
- Higley (10/5): Tranquil, lovely, and charming - Delicious breakfast featuring delicious homemade bread/butter/jams, local meats and cheeses, and much more. Amazing hospitality, beautiful location with stunning views, peaceful and quiet, such a charming spot! Nothing! Everything was perfect
- Lotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafael (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and easy going, suggested the perfect activities for our second day around Vals. Breakfast was really good, especially the generous amount of tasty local cheese.

- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional - The BnB is located in traditional wooden building. It was spotlessly clean. the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. As a guest you have a discount for the thermal baths
- Guilherme (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorenzo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Channe (9/5): Superb -
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay at Gassa 95. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make our experience special. The building is the oldest in the village and more than 500 years old but has been well renovated to produce comfortable rooms in an rustic alpine setting. The food was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast was excellent with a selection of local cheese, dried swiss meat, smoked ham and homemade bread as well as delicious homemade jam.
It is located in the middle of the village and with easy access to the bath or the ski fields although we did not ski (but the baths, while expensive are definitely a very special experience). There is nothing we did not like, but bear in mind that it is an old swiss chalet with all its charm but also creaking floors and a very nice bathroom shared between two rooms.
- Michael (10/5): Excellent stay in the center of a beautiful Swiss mountain village. Excellent food - best in town! - The B&B Gassa is a beautifully restored 500 year old house. It is very central, super clean and the food cooked by Albin is exceptional. Albin (the owner of the house) is very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The rooms are comfy, ours was with an ensuite and had a beautiful view towards the mountains. The provided shower gel was a tiny bottle and not very ecological ... a reusable, larger container would be better. Breakfast was only available until 9:30 which doesn't allow sleeping in :-) but the breakfast is well worth getting up for!
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (5/5): I would not go again. - Dinner was good.
The beds were very comfortable. It was advertised with a shared bathroom on the floor with shower soap. We were asked to use an open mass shower in the cellar and there was no soap. As there was no door to lock, and someone even walked in on my wife whilst she was drying off from a shower!
There was not any soap nor hand towel by the bedroom sink in our room.
The host seems rather indifferent and overly stressed.
Sorry to say, but that was not my problem nor what I paid for.
- Mina (9/5): Superb -
- Alana (8/5): Excellent stay in stunning Alpine village - Excellent attentive host Corsin was accessible and helpful at all times. Nice, cosy rooms in incredibly beautiful town. You get discount to the Therme Vals if booking with Corsin. Wonderful location if you have kids as there is an amazing playground 50m away. We had a very nice dinner and breakfast made by our host The ceiling height of the rooms is only about 190cm and doors around 180cm so if you are tall this may be an issue for you. The bathroom is shared however we thought it was going to be in our room. In saying that it was exceptionally clean and we never had to wait to use it.
- Kathleen (10/5): Great place to stay! - It is so charming that the house is 500 years old, owned by the original family. The owner is extremely hard working, and it really shows. This was a very last minute booking (booked minutes before check in) and everything was clean and prepared for us already. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
