Guest Reviews
- June (9/5): Lovely quiet B&B - could hear the woodpecker in the morning. - Amanda is an excellent host. The property is characterful and has everything you'd wish for. Easily accessible sockets for charging and a wee shelf in the bathroom for toiletries would be nice.
- Margy (10/5): It was fun, and a very clean quiet place to stay. - Excellent spot to stay to where we were going. Staff was exceptional. Everything was great. no dislikes.
- Anita (10/5): Excellent - The breakfast was amazing. Having a glass of wine in the garden patio was a lovely idea. Nice way to meet other guests and chat with the owner. Everything was great.
- Brigitte (10/5): Fantastic stay in SHELBURNE at Coopers Inn. - Coopers Inn is a beautiful, well kept B& B just a stone’s throw from the waterfront in SHELBURNE. Immaculate inside and out with a lovely garden and very tasteful rooms. Beds have wonderful linens, and are air conditioned but windows also open if that’s what you prefer.
Breakfasts were wonderful with 3 choices available each morning. Host was friendly and helpful. Nothing!
- Jorg (8/5): Great Inn in historic building. We would return. - Location was excellent! Close to everything. Great attention.
- LeClair (10/5): The gem of Nova-Scotia - L’endroit était absolument charmant, ça me rappelle la Grande-Bretagne, notre hôte était formidable. C’était notre hôtel coup de coeur en Nouvelle-Écosse. Je le recommande à tous!
- Darryl (10/5): Wonderful Stay! - The owner greeted us at check in and was super pleasant and friendly. She walked us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was charming, clean and well organized.
Cocktail hour in the garden was a delightful extra we weren’t expecting. We met some of the other guests and had a relaxing time after sightseeing all day.
The breakfast choices were delicious (3 options) and the french press coffee was great! We absolutely enjoyed our time here. The little town doesn’t have many restaurants. The place we did eat at was recommended by the owner and she was spot on. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. The outdoor dining area was perfect for a warm evening.

- Daniel (10/5): The historic inn and staff was just what we hoped for. - We enjoyed the informal wine get together on the patio to get to know the other guests and our hostess. Breakfast options were made to order. Wonderful historic property across from the water. Great staff.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Attentive staff, wonderful location and gorgeous individually prepared breakfast. - Great location, wonderful patio seating area for guests, gorgeous individually prepared breakfast and attentive staff. One may choose an individually prepared full breakfast or lighter fare. Coffee was served with freshly ground beans in a French press !!! Both my husband and I chose to indulge in the full breakfast with eggs, choice of meat, potatoes and toast and homemade jam or marmalade. My single bed was unfortunately not totally comfortable; seemed slightly sloped. However, our overall experience was great.

The breakfasts were just what we needed to get a good start to our day. Our room was perfectly decorated and very clean with easy access at ground level. Everything was perfect
- Gary (10/5): Wonderful B&B and Owner, Amanda! - The location on the water was ideal and the outside deck was lovely. The barrel factory obscured our view of the water.
- Baldwin (10/5): -

- Justine (10/5): Lovely B&B on the waterfront in Shelburne! - Lovely B&B on the quiet waterfront in Shelburne. Amanda is an amazing host! Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was hot and delicious. The complimentary wine hour in the garden was really lovely - got to meet other guests, discuss things in the area (a local yarn dyer), and enjoy a beautiful evening before heading to dinner. This is more than just a place to stay - Amanda makes you feel like a very welcome guest in her home. Highly recommend! Nothing

The breakfasts were outstanding. There was shopping within walking distance also some very good restaurant choices within walking distance. The Dory Shop Museum is very close and is a must see.
A very pleasant surprise was "wine hour" under the pergola on the wooden deck in the back yard. Wonderful opportunity to share a glass of wine with the host and other guests. We would definitely try to include another visit to The Coopers Inn on our next visit to Nova Scotia.

- Marianne (10/5): Wonderful stay at this charming B&B ; perfect location and owner was super! - How friendly the owner was and how she went out of her way to make everyone feel at home. The place was historic yet charming and comfortable. It was unseasonably warm when we were there so a ceiling fan in the bedroom would have been great to move the somewhat stuffy air.
