Elizabeth (10/5): - This is a very nice property in a quiet residential area. Our room was in the loft with a full bed on the bottom of a bunk and a full on the top. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well designed and clean. The private bathroom had a jucuzzi tub! Sam is a great host; the breakfast was individually prepared and delicious. He is also helpful about the area. There is a ping pong table as well. There is a nice lake across the road. The only thing to be aware of if you stay in our room is that it is open to the downstairs as it is a loft. This didn't bother us but there is a little lack of privacy.

Wish i would have been able to arrive earlier and enjoy the seating area in the yard. Highly recommend

MAITRI (10/5): - This was a pleasant stay. The owner of the property actually makes fresh breakfast for his guests. Our stay was just for a night but it was very pleasant. Yeh rooms are very clean and so are the common areas. The fresh breakfast was the highlight of our stay! The owner Sam and his wife live on the lower level of the house and are very nice and sweet people.

We would have liked a TV in our room for the evening. The driveway was hard to find and quite steep.

The access to and seating area by the lake was very beautiful and enjoyable. Sam was a great host and shared some good information on places to visit in the area and while we were visiting NS. Breakfast was delicious. We were also able to do a load of laundry.

Ellen (8/5): - Room was clean with comfortable king size bed and fan. Two nice chairs and small table. Sam the owner greeted us at the door after some cement steps to the back yard. Very steep driveway. Gave instructions on the door lock and keys. More instructions on the wifi and a shared bathroom. No one was in the other room so we had the bathroom to ourselves. Bathroom nice and clean and shower hot. We sat outside in the evening however wifi not strong enough to play music and the road was load with traffic and motorcycles. Not the quiet place I thought it would be. Could not see the water from the house.

Victor (10/5): - The property is located a few minutes from Halifax, just far enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the city to find peace and quiet, but close enough to be a part of it all. Hosts are such friendly, amazing people. Breakfast consisted of healthy, home cooked choices with more than big enough portions for anyone. When I’m back in the Halifax area I will inquire about staying there again. Thank you.

We did not have time to enjoy the ping pong table but that is a nice option for guests. We did manage to head down to the dock to enjoy the sunset, which was a highlight. The breakfast was delicious and the company at the table was lovely. Sam & his wife were wonderful hosts!

Benjamin (10/5): - This is probably the best place I've stayed at, Sam was extremely helpful during check-in and showed us around the property and our room, they also have a ping pong table, deck/patio space right on the water, and a secluded garden which was very nice. Breakfast was amazing and gets made right away (between 7-9) he even messaged me before we got there for any dietary restriction, and breakfast was different each day. Sam really puts in extra effort to make your stay comfortable and I was sad that I didn't stay longer. I highly recommend this place

There is a nice private area right across the road on the water that we used to relax. The hot breakfast provided the next morning was delicious and freshly made. We would definitely stay there again.

Heidi (8/5): - For a family that wants several pleasant days in one place this would be lovely place. There’s a porch, a hill top look out reached by lots of steps, access to Lake William and a ping pong table. The two rooms on the same floor as the breakfast room, the ping pong table and the porch share a bathroom. The room with a full-size bunk bed is actually a loft with its own bathroom with a jacuzzi. On hot summer days it gets hot. There is a good fan, but it’s still not as cool as the rooms with AC. It is a loft room open to the cathedral ceiling above the common room. While it has visual privacy, it does not have either sound or light privacy. For a family or a group sharing all the rooms this might not be a problem. It is not, however, a private room.

Sarah (10/5): Clean, organized beauty on the hill! - We were initially bit taken back by the steep hill to the property, and parking was a bit inconvenient. But, aside from that, the accommodations were fantastic, very clean and spacious. Such a beautiful home with beautiful outdoors to enjoy too! Cozy backyard to relax in, or area by the water. We didn’t swim, but the beautiful lake across the street was definitely one we’d take advantage of if we stayed longer. Sam was very welcoming, friendly and informative and breakfast was delicious!

Sherril (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay here. Our host, Sam, was very friendly. Breakfast was healthy and the coffee was great. Our room was lovely: clean and large. The house is right across the road from a large lake, with a great view of the sunset. Just know that there is a very steep hill to get up to the house, and you may be asked to park at the bottom of the hill. And then there are about 7 steps to climb to get to the house from the driveway. Let the host know if you have mobility needs and he will accommodate. Overall, a very positive experience.

VICTOR (10/5): Wonderful experience at this property! - The location of this property was lovely and close enough for a short drive to many restaurants and shopping areas. Everything was clean and well cared for. The bathroom we shared with other travelers was cleaned every day. Breakfast was always delicious and presented in a manner befitting a magazine photo. Breakfast was a delightful time to chat with our hosts and other travelers. A small fridge and microwave was available to us if needed, however we were out for our other meals. There was no TV, but we didn't need one. We loved sitting on the dock and loved the shared living room, game/music area, and fire pit spaces. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and with other travelers.

You can tell the host cares a lot about the property - it was incredibly well maintained and full of birds (saw a blue jay and hummingbird!). Breakfast was home cooked and the host took the time to chat with us again in the morning. The property was nice and clean, with options for coffee, tea, laundry, a fridge, and even a ping pong table! If you’re looking for a lovely spot to spend the night, it is here! We would absolutely love to come back!

We arrived late into Halifax airport but Burgundy Dream B&B was only 15 minutes from the airport, which was very convenient at such a late hour. The Burgundy Dream is located in a beautiful, quiet, lush lake region. We wish we could have stayed longer. Our "Blue Notes" bedroom was beautifully appointed and Sam made sure to point out where everything we might need was located. He is a seasoned B&B host and it showed. In the morning he served us a gourmet breakfast with yogurt, homemade granola, orange juice & freshly brewed coffee, along with fresh fruit, toast and an omelet of spinach, ham & cheese all served on an elegantly set table. Both Sam & Kazue, sat and chatted with us about our plans, where we are from along with their own life stories. It was so pleasant and it could not have been a more perfect way to start our Nova Scotia experience. We Highly Highly Recommend!
