- Marek (8/5): - Tha location is great. You can park your car infron of house. Great gas heater in the room. Basic breakfast.
- Marek (8/5): - Great for rest after hike in Torres del Peine.

- Barraza Alvarez (3/5): No volvería asistir nuevamente.

- Aleksei (10/5): - It’s a nice cozy place. Good internet and many space. I love it. Owner super nice!! This volunteers didn’t do anything. Kitchen always dirty. No papers in the toilet. No soup. They don’t speak English and not so helpfully. Idk, maybe time to change them.

- Maya (8/5): -

- Bo (8/5): Good value - Helpful staffs The door can’t be locked properly.

- Tsveta (9/5): Great place to stay as a welcoming hostel - I stayed 3 nights in this hostel and I personally loved it. If you are expecting a three star hotel service- this is not for you. If you are looking to stay in authentic chiliean house with nice people- then you got it.
Yes, the house is not the most modern, but I think Chilians do not throw stuff away when it is working just because it is not the latest trend.
The hostel had a fully equiped kitchen with oven, stove, toaster, kettle and microwave etc. Breakfast is included and it is bread, eggs, jam, margerine (you need to cook your eggs).
There are two bathroom and toilets and have a hair dryer. You can do laundry for a charge-wash and dryer available.
My room had a gas heater which could warm my room up in 5 min max and kept it at low as otherwise it gets very hot.
They provided me with a towel too.
The door does not really lock but they told me it is safe. I left my stuff in the room open and everything was there in the evening. They have spare locks to use if you need one. Obviously, if you have something expensive- lock it in your suitcase, but all I had was my phone and passport which i keep always on me. You do have a lock on the inside- but old style. I personally felt safe enough to not need to lock my room most times , day or night.
Edu is very responsive to queries and if there is something you need- he will help you. I also think he has taken on board the constructive criticism and is improving the place bit by bit.
- Blake (6/5): Pleasant - Good location .. bread and eggs for breakfast was good The roosters, the church pumping loud music on. Saturday night next door..
- Lorena (8/5): Very good -
- Raul (9/5): Superb -
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martina (3/5): Poor - Photos looks great but in reality accommodation is old and bot really nice. We slept in our sleepingbags because it doesnt look good. Also beds were terrible. I felt every move of my husband. I do not recommend this accommodation.
- Josipa (8/5): Very good -
- Ariel (7/5): Good - Staff were nice. There is no heating after dark. I stayed in March and you literally froze when you wake up or have to go the bathroom. I showered once in 5 nights!!! The place needs renovation. The furniture is all DIY with wood planks. If you intend to go to Torres daily be prepared for a 15 min walk in the cold. Only one bathroom for all the rooms. If you forget to set up the alarm there is also a friendly rooster that will wake you up at 6:00 everyday. I'm sure there are nicer places to spend your money.
- Karen (5/5): Mediocre hostel, stay one night if have to - Bed was comfortable
Shower was very good and hot
Luggage storage
Good location Charged tax when shouldn't have been
Staff gave no info about breakfast, show us where the shared bathroom was etc. was very much here's the key and give me the money
Staff member a bit exasperated when we said that we didn't speak Spanish
Breakfast was poor, few breads left out and had to cook eggs ourselves. No juices or cereals etc.
Key left in front door all day and night to let yourself in, didn't feel very secure especially when our room was facing out to the street. Only thing to have privacy was a thin curtain that didn't go all the way along the window
Definitely can get better hostel for same price. Only booked here for one night after Torres del Paine as was very close to other hostel we previously stayed in before Torres which was sold out.
- Barry (7/5): It’s inexpensive and okay for one night stay. - The staff, Eduardo, was friendly. Late night check in was accommodated. We stayed at a cabin by the backyard. It was not indicated on the booking site that the rooster would announce dawn starting at 4 am and continue calling 6 times at every minute.
- Ychi (8/5): Great hostel in good location - The location was very close to the rainbow steps. A steep climb up the street to wonderful views. The warning to not walk about after dark were a little worrying. Lots of steps inside the Hostel but Valparaiso is a hilly steep place everywhere.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Isabelle (7/5): Good -
- Isabelle (7/5): Good -
- Brendon (7/5): Good -
- Rlizana94 (8/5): Very good -
- Adriana (6/5): Pleasant - The location and the stuff The bed was uncomfortable and room was little bit dirty
- Francesco (7/5): Good - good breakfast, staff very friendly, good location. quite expensive, and also the owner ask for 2000 pesos per day for keeping the backpack if you go for a trek
- Hannah (7/5): Simple place, great location - Super nice and friendly staff
You can pay by card and they have free Wifi
The location is amazing very central to many nice restaurants, supermarkets etc.
Simple breakfast (bread, eggs, butter, marmelade) + they offer these traditional cookies/sweets for a small donation - this was super cute :) The place is a little bit run down and the bathrooms weren’t always super clean
Also it was only poorly soundproof so you would hear quite clearly when people were chatting in the common room, walking on the wooden floor or opening / closing the doors during the night / early morning
- Emily (8/5): I would recommend this hostel as the owner and staff were very nice and helpful! - The owner was very nice! And Tanya, a gal who was working at the hostel, was helpful, kind and friendly. The Hostel is clean and quiet ( except for the roosters) More places to hang up clothes in the room. And a more comfortable bed.
- Chui (8/5): Very good - Three young staff are very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Even they speak little English, they tried the best to help.
- Eugenia (8/5): Very good -
- Rich (8/5): Great little place. Everything you're looking for in an affordable accommodation. Thank you - Convenient location. Private room for an affordable price. Laundry on site. Very friendly staff. Breakfast included. It was a little loud between guests, animals and city/town noise.
- Cristobal (2/5): Very poor -
- Ciara (7/5): Nice facilities in a good location but garden and noise issues need sorted. - Private room had great kitchen facilities.
Comfy bed and good heating system.
Location was good and central. Rooster caused a lack of sleep early in the morning. Told owners and they removed the rooster thankfully.
Church beside the accommodation has loud music a few times a week until 11/12pm.
Garden area could do with being tidied up. It’s looks very poor.
- Ana (5/5): Passable -
- Petra (8/5): Very good - Nice and colourful rooms. The kitchen was great! The guy who checked us in wasnt very nice and he was always watching TV very loudly.
- Tanja (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monika___ (8/5): Very good -
- Christian (10/5): Feeling like home - The breakfast you can be free of doing it at any time and the attention of the staff, very communicative was excellent Nothing didn't like. Was excellent
- Axel (10/5): Exceptional - I could feel at home and free. The kitchen is amazing for socializing in the morning or evening:)
Nothing more is needed.
- Niamh (8/5): Very good - Room was warm and Cosy. Shared kitchen facilities were good. WiFi was excellent. Couldn’t lock door when inside the room as it is just padlocks on outside. Only one bathroom.
- Botond (10/5): Cozy place, feels like visiting a friends place - The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, they were really flexible with the check in and out. They were really available and easy to talk to, explained everything well. They even helped us go on a trek last minute!
- Emilie (10/5): Exceptional - Maria-Theresa was so helpful! Thanks so much again
- Davaabayar (9/5): Great - Shower needs to be fixed. Cold and hot water doesn’t run properly
- Ids (6/5): Friendly and homely place, but the hostal needs a bit of restoration. - Great service, friendly staff. Room started leaking a bit but that was probably bad luck to to the bad weather. They handled it very well afterwards, I was immediately offered a new room and they offered free services to dry any stuff that got wet.
Moreover, the blankets were somewhat uncomfortable.
- Sue (7/5): Reasonable value for money in P Natales - Friendly people in this small hostel.. basic room, bit strange having a lock on outside of door but not on inside - but no issues
- Dennis (5/5): Passable - nice staff, possibility to store luggage for a few days bathroom was very dirty and moldy, there were some snails in the shower. heater in our room was not working, very cold at night. lights from the street are super bright even with shutters down. for breakfast there was some old dry bread. nice concept, but should get some more love!!
- Ilya (7/5): Good -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jia (6/5): Pleasant - Clean, good breakfast Full blinds that block out street light in the room. Room was too bright to have proper sleep.
- Sabina (6/5): Basic room - It was nice that there were different cooking spices and cooking oil in the kitchen for everyone to use.
The staff was nice and helpful. The atmosphere was also nice. We found the price a bit high for a hostel.
The room was very basic. The furniture seemed old and used. There were only two or three coat hangers in the wardrobe. The entire hostel is filthy and needs renovation.
The breakfast, which was included in the room price, was basic as well: some bread, eggs that needed to be boiled, a few containers with jam, tea bags in a tea box.
The pans in the kitchen are very old and scratched Teflon pans. Teflon pans contain PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) which is carcinogenic. They should be replaced.
- Lucy (5/5): Passable - Good communal areas with what is needed Our room was the front one facing the street, the street light faced into the bedroom and made it very difficult to sleep as it looked like daylight all night. Not being able to lock your room from the inside makes it a little uncomfortable, someone did come into the room my accident in the middle of the night.
- David (4/5): Disappointing hostal. - Staff was nice. Horrible house.
- Elisa (5/5): Place is OK but bedroom was awful. Couldn't rest well. - Location was good. You had to prepare your own breakfast and wash your own dishes, but that OK, no big deal. Staff is always changing because they work with people that volunteer, but they were nice. Bathroom and kitchen were good. The mattress, the pillow and the sheets were really bad. They gave me a towel that was wet. When I asked them where could I put my towel to dry they said to leave it in my room, which didn't have a window so the bedroom was going to be humid. It wasn't noisy on purpose but the bedroom is in the hall so I would hear everything both late at night and very early in the morning.
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Melf (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ligita (7/5): Good -
- Christian (5/5): Passable - - Location - cold rooms
- poor breakfast
- many things to be fixed or replaced (you could not close the backdoor properly)
- cockroaches in the kitchen
- sheets did not fit to the matraze
- Jessica (9/5): Good breakfast. Basic accommodation. - A short walk into town. The bedroom was small but had just enough space for bags, and storage and to move around the room easily. The heating in the room meant the room was very warm. The serve yourself breakfast was generous with as many eggs and as much bread (with jams etc..) as you could possibly want. One of the bathrooms wasn't nice, the other was (but a bit of a wait to use it). Walls thin but people were respectful even so you can hear all movements (good to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise- didn't bother me though). Not the cleanest kitchen.
- Klara (3/5): The hostel is not as comfortable and cosy as it seems looking at the pictures. - two big bathrooms Our room was dark and cold, the matress and bedsheets were most uncomfortable. the kitchen wasn’t good equipped and all the rooms were a little dirty. no one speeks english, we had troubles understanding where high extra fees came from, which booking didn‘t explain about.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (6/5): Pleasant stay - Warm and cosy cabin hot water shower,
Help yourself to eggs and bread and tea and coffee as much as you wanted
Staff were really helpful and nice Needs updating on the cabin!
