• Eulogio (10/5): Estupenda estadía con la atención personal del dueño - Fue toda una sorpresa el lugar, por lo grata de la experiencia. Al principio no dice mucho, se ubica en una parcela encerrada en vegetación, sin vistas. Pero al entrar, la atención de Klaus y de quien estaba en la recepción, hace que uno se sienta inmediatamente bienvenido. No se establece una relación de pasajero/staff, sino de invitado con el dueño de casa. Todo es excelente: la habitación, la cena, el desayuno, el espacio común. se establece además rápidamente un ambiente de conversación con los otros pasajeros que pueda haber. No puedo recordar nada malo o que no me haya gustado. Siendo que la cena es un servicio aparte que Klaus prepara personalmente a pedido, no esperen una carta con variedades.

En cuanto al hostal te despertas y te espera un exquisito desayuno artesanal, también podes cenar todo casero hecho por Klaus muy rico!!! . Nos sentimos como en casa. Gracias Klaus como te dijimos en persona lo repito por acá... volveremos!!! hace un poco de frío en las habitaciones

Het avondeten is een aanrader, het ontbijt is goed verzorgd, allemaal vers en lekker klaargemaakt door Klaus! De kamers en gemeenschappelijke delen zijn warm aangekleed en Klaus gaf goede tips voor de omgeving. De avondzon op het strand, op slechts 5 minuten, wandelen was de moeite!

Hij vertelt onmiddellijk wat je allemaal kan bezoeken, de mooie wandelingen, de mooie plaatsen, hij weet heel veel. Hij run bijna een kleine reisbureau;-) Mooie kamer. Het ontbijt is bio en zijn zelfgemaakte bruine brood is heel lekker.

Hij is behulpzaam, geeft goede adviezen en is een voortreffelijke kok. Ik kan een verblijf in La Minga ten zeerste aanbevelen. Twee heerlijke overnachtingen, een voortreffelijk diner en twee smakelijke ontbijtjes, wat kan er dan tegenvallen? Niets toch?

Très bon petit-déjeuner composé de produits maison. Possibilité de dîner sur place (produits frais et maison). La plage proche depuis laquelle il est facile d’observer des phoques et des dauphins. Chambre un peu exiguë.

• Pablo (10/5): Excelente hostal - Hospedarse en Hostal La Minga es una experiencia realmente excepcional: destaca desde el primer momento la enorme calidez, amabilidad y dedicación de Klaus y su esposa, quienes hacen sentir a cada huésped como en casa, siempre atentos y dispuestos a ayudar; el hostal se mantiene impecablemente limpio, las habitaciones son muy cómodas, el internet Starlink funciona de forma excelente, algo muy valorado en la zona, y tanto el desayuno como la cena son abundantes, ricos y preparados con mucho cariño, reflejando el compromiso y pasión de sus dueños; sin duda, un lugar totalmente recomendable y al que dan ganas de volver

Spazio comune curato e molto pulito, con un bel tavolo da condividere con gli altri ospiti. Camere confortevoli con letti molto comodi. Il valore aggiunto è senza dubbio l’host Klaus, che ci ha coccolato con la sua ottima cucina a cena. La chicca….il caffè nella moka !! Nulla

• Claire (9/5): - Very cozy and comfortable. Warm and welcoming. There are just 3 bedrooms and it was nice to chat with other travellers. The owner and his wife cooked us a lovely dinner and breakfast. I would recommend having dinner there. They have starlink. There isn’t any sound proofing and all bedrooms open to the communal area so you can easily here all noises from anyone sitting out there. While this was not a problem for us as all couples were quiet a respectful if you are sensitive to noise it could be an issue if the wrong people turned up.

• Elisabeth (10/5): - Wir mussten in Hornopiren die späte Fähre nehmen, von da aus war es noch einmal eine Stunde Fahrt von Caleta Gonzalo bis kurz vor Chaitén, so dass wir erst sehr spät ankamen. Klaus und Marcela waren darauf eingestellt und erwarteten uns mit selbstgemachter Kürbissuppe. Am nächsten Morgen gab es ein gutes Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Produkten aus der Region. Am Strand konnten wir Seelöwen beobachten. Klaus spricht ein gutes Englisch. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen.

El dueño muy atento y acogedor, se agradece las cremas en la noche y los sándwiches para el viaje de vuelta. Mil por ciento recomendado, el ambiente ecológico le da un toque perfecto con Chaitén.

A peaceful environment with frien - A lovely secluded place that is a short drive out of Chaiten. Klaus and his wife seem to be quite conscious about sustainability. Many items at breakfast and dinner were homemade which was delicious. I was in a twin room at the back of the house which was comfortable.
• Stefan (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. A bit remote but if you have a car this is not at all a problem. It is very close to the beach which is very nice as you can walk there in just a few minutes. The accomodation is very clean and nice and has super comfy beds. On top there is a very friendly hosts who is very supportive if you need anything at all. Great place to stay. We can only recommend it.

Klaus and Marcela are wonderful hosts. They are kind and very attentive. Excellent food for breakfast and dinner. Can't have asked for anything more. It was perfect!

• Richard (9/5): Lovely host in special home near an interesting town and national park. - The host, Klaus, could not have been more gracious and accommodating. He answered our questions, offered extra help like printing for me, and taught us about local activities. Breakfast was all homemade and excellent. Klaus is doing an excellent job of trying to live a sustainable life and share that with his guests. The room we stayed in did not have its own heating source, so it was cool until we got into bed. But the bedcovers were plenty warm enough to sleep comfortably.

The cabana is very comfortable and warm and we had an excellent nights sleep. We had a super breakfast in the morning and were on our way down the Carretera Austral. A special place to stay Nothing

• Maurus (10/5): Exceptional - This place is a real gem. It is surrounded by trees but still close to the town by car. We felt really welcome since Klaus and his wife are great hosts. They built the place on their own and there must have gone a lot of passion into this project. The living room is super cozy, breakfast and dinner were homemade and excellent. Klaus also gave us recommendations for hikes and activites nearby.

Klaus is a very friendly host who has many useful tips to share about things to do in the surrounding area. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Klaus serves a delicious breakfast with the best coffee I've had in Chile and also offers dinner if you want it.

Beds are super comfortable, shower has lots of hot water and good pressure and everything runs off solar there so although portable phone chargers were de rigeur and wifi didn't always work in our room, it was always perfect in the main house. The kerosene heater heated up the place in no time and it stayed toasty warm. Lots of blankets, too, if you prefer that. Klaus and Marcela are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed a couple of excellent home cooked dinners with them as both are excellent cooks. Breakfasts are equally delicious as bread and spreads are homemade and their coffee is some of the best we've had in Chile. Really, our hosts are what made it truly special to stay there. They are delightful, friendly people and they went out of their way to help us with some issues we had with our car rental. Klaus speaks excellent English in case your Spanish is as shaky as mine. The hostel is located a couple of km outside town, but it has a lovely stony beach just a 3 minute walk away for relaxing and watching the sunset and looking for seals and dolphins. Very peaceful. Due to issues with the satellite reception, we had to pay in cash, and we had no luck with the only ATM in town, so prepare accordingly.

We enjoyed fantastic meals in the evenings and rich breakfasts with homemade bread in the mornings. The location is great for visiting Pumalín Park. Klaus also had great tips for the park itself and our subsequent stay on Chiloe. Many thanks for these unforgettable days!
• Wombat-1 (9/5): Are you looking for eco-friendly accommodation? Then go here. - Keep in mind that this is an ecological accommodation. This means that the rooms are simply furnished, small and unheated. The common dining and lounge area is heated and warm, leave the door to your room open to warm it up a little. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is a bit remote, so bring whatever you need with you. Still there is good internet but no phone connection. nothing
