- Karen (9/5): Nice stopover for a night - Close to the main attractions in this quaint town. Sonia the host was very welcoming. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. Steps up to the room may present a problem if you have mobility problems.

- Cindy (5/5): A good value and clean but location is a problem if you are looking for a place to eat dinner. - Sonia was friendly and room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. No place to eat in the area.
- Gagnon (10/5): - Tout etait parfait !
- Favreau (10/5): - Pour nous L'endroit était idéal . Le confort du studio était parfait il ne manquait rien . Je vais surement retourner à cette endroit.
- Kathleen (10/5): Tout était parfait - L accueil tranquillité et situation géographique
- Lynda (10/5): - Sonia is a great host who even provided freshly laid eggs from her hen for our breakfast and contacted me immediately when she noticed I’d left an article of clothing behind, arranging to mail it to me in NY. We cannot say enough about the pleasures of our cycling holiday in Quebec, including our two days at Sonia’s Gite du Village!
- Matias (9/5): - Very comfy and cozy. You can hear a bit of noise from the road in the bedroom
- Li (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vilelmini (10/5): Memorable stay! - We enjoyed our stay very much! Perfect quiet spot, just a few minutes away from the village, which is very beautiful!
Sonia is a very generous and gracious host! Always available to help always with a smile!
The apartment is beautifully made. Very clean. Fully equipped kitchen with an espresso machine as well!
For our toddler daughter, the 4 chickens were the absolute highlight of the garden. We even got some eggs!
Sitting in the garden with a view of the lake, bbq is also available!
Very memorable stay! Highly recommend!
- Rudy (9/5): Exactly what we wanted - All good Nothing
- Jane (8/5): Very good - Very friendly host. Great outdoor space. Spacious rooms Everything was great
- Jenna (10/5): We would like to stay with Sonia for a month if we could! - Staying at Sonia's place was definitely the highlight of our trip! We enjoyed our conversation with Sonia, and the town itself, and obviously her comfortable place. The apartment has everything you needed- well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds (including the sofa bed), shower (water pressure is awesome), parking (easy, just right outside the house), backyard with her three chickens and cat (nice bonus). The town was super cute with nice a nice cafe, bakery, chocolate/ice cream shop, and a general store. You will also find many artist studios (we particularly enjoyed Patrick's pottery studio, and bought many pieces), local cheese and bee farms. If we ever come back to Quebec again, we will definitely come to this town and stay with Sonia! Nothing!
- Dottie (9/5): Superb - Charming little apartment--listed as a studio, but has a separate bedroom. Very clean and cosy. Lovely little town.
- M (8/5): Lovely place, definitely worth the stay. - Great little escape in the small town of Deschambeault from Sonia. The kitchen looks into the building next door, whereas the back door has a nice view of the backyard and the front window a view of the street. Very clean, spacious (for 2) and comfortable. The evenings were nice and quiet, although the train rumbled through once in the middle of the night. We just fell back to sleep. As we stayed in the middle of the week, we were not able to taste the cuisine of the local restaurants, which only open certain days of the week.
- Leeann (10/5): Exceptional - Location, the amenities, the chickens, the host No complaints
- Valentina (9/5): very nice stay, huge space with comfy bed. would recommend. - Nice, comfortable studio in a picturesque calm village. The garden with view on the river is lovely. bit of noise from upstairs room, but nothing too annoying.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely spot close (short walk) to a couple nice restaurants, an ice cream shop and a well-equipped small general store. Hassle-free check-in and friendly hostess. Recommend!
- Amelia (10/5): Exceptional - Clean comfy place. Sonia is friendly. Hens and vege garden in the backyard was an awesome bonus! We even got an egg for breakfast!
- Stanton (10/5): lovely place - the apartment is cosy and is very comfortable and clean, Sophie is available if anything needed (we weren’t missing anything though) the backyard is lovely with a view of the St Laurent river not far off.
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (9/5): Superb -
- Achu (10/5): Comfy Cozy and Classic Stay for Family and Couples - Amazing stay that we will never forget. Located near to St. Lawrence River makes its vibe more elegant. Our host Sonia was supportive throughout the stay. She kept in contact for our needs via email/phone. There is a backyard with some well maintained garden, chairs and table which is good spot for evening or morning chill. The place is not so crowded but still you can meet local dwellers busy with their daily businesses. Children would love to this place as it has nature blended atmosphere. Building is not of modern construction and gives you a classic feel. Bed was comfy and cozy with location being so peaceful you wont regret. There are local bakery , chocolate shops and restaurants you can try which give you a nice experience watching the river as you have your breakfast or dinner. Never miss the sunrise at the Quai nearby. Though this was not my concern i should tell this for those this matters. Our stay was on upper floor. Those who carry extra weight or old people might struggle to climb stair as there are no lifts. This is more like two floor house
- Marquise (9/5): Fantastic, memorable, want to go back. - Loved it all, Sonia the owner, the property, the village of Deschambault, the General store, and the boulangerie. The church, etc. The fact that restaurants were not open, On Monday, Tues. Wed. but I get it.
- Doreen (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): the best, Sonia is a gem - espresso machine in the room with excellent local roasted beans
- Sue (10/5): Lovely - Sonia was a lovely hostess
- Barry (10/5): Fair value quality apartment. - Positive greetings from Sonia.
Special request for bicycles storage met and offered without reminder.
Complimentary tea and coffee available in room with almost limitless quantities.
Comfortable spacious unit encompassing lounge/dining, kitchenette and sleeping quarters. Separate washroom.
Clean and tidy.
Village is a candidate for maybe Canada's prettiest .
