Guest Reviews
- Watkins (10/5): Great accommodation and perfect location to enjoy Lunenburg - This location is centrally located to the wharf with several restaurants within 10-minute walk. Great spot!
- Reid (10/5): Had a fantastic trip to Lunenburg and loved our stay :) - Loved the location and the character home setting!
- Brooke (9/5): Best spot in Lunenburg - Best location in Lunenburg! The room was luxurious and exceptionally clean. Check in was seamless. Would definitely stay here again! Only downside was being able to hear other guests at the inn when they came and went, due to the heavy wooden doors.
- Claire (9/5): Cute and clean located in the heart of the town. - Great communication, location and bathtub. Plastic on bed was uncomfortable.
- Fiona Marshall (8/5): - Loved the location and the feel of the accommodation Was disappointed that the room lacked a kettle and a toaster.
- Phil (10/5): a good value stay with everything you could need. - everything was top notch. secure free parking. best location. fantastic bathroom.
- Shailendra (9/5): - Good location and big bathroom.
- Michael (9/5): Enjoyable stay - Nice location in the town overlooking the bay
Well equipped room Onsite parking only really suitable for small hatchback size cars, although plenty of on street during my visit
- Jackie (9/5): Comfy stay - Quaint accommodations in a lovely setting.
- Janette (7/5): Good but expensive. - Very clean, comfortable, instructions well communicated Better pillows. A kettle would have been appreciated.
- Stephenie (8/5): The location was great, the room was large and clean. - The place was very clean, roomy and had a jacuzzi. The plastic mattress cover was not to our liking. It did not have a natural feel and was loud when moving in the bed.
- Steve (7/5): Apart from the entry dramas our stay was pleasant. - Location was good.
Rooms were presented very nicely with spacious bathroom.
Fabulous scenic view from our top floor window. The online entry with assigned entry code failed to work. The email contact help was not attended to for another 8 hours.
We had to seek phone help from a small business 2 doors away where I eventually got through to the proprietor who gave me a new code.
Very frustrating & not off to a good start.
I prefer there to be a host so if you encounter problems there is someone located on the premises or at least nearby.
The bed unfortunately was not comfortable, too hard with a plastic mattress cover which was noisy.
- Saqlain (10/5): - Location and low price.
- Conrad (9/5): -
- David (9/5): Amazing room with fabulous view and close to everything you want to see - Very cute room with an amazing view, lots of space and a huge bathroom. Excellent location close to shops and the waterfront, everything is within walking distance. It did advertise as a bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast available. Lots of great coffee shops close by though so we had no problem finding something for breakfast.
- Zini (10/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): Perfect place to stay in Old Town Lunenburg - Fantastic location
Gracious, large room with ocean view
Minutes from great restaurants and the waterfront
- Phil (10/5): Great value overall. I liked it so much I extended my stay. - Perfection location. Great View of the harbour. Free parking of the street. Bathroom facilités were excellent. Extremely nice towels.
- Gina (9/5): Very well kept clean and a lovely view thru the window - Location was great
The room was lovely had everything we needed for an overnight stay đ All good
- Carla (8/5): -
- Croteau (9/5): -
- Marta (9/5): Agradable! - Sobretot el bany i la decoraciĂł, era molt agradable
- Tracey (9/5): Great location. - Location is awesome.
Walk everywhere and take in the quaint houses, great Ocean views and the many churches of historical interest. The bed was comfortable but the mattress protector was made of plastic material which we found strange.
There were exactly 2 small plates, 2 large plates, 2 bowls, 2 teaspoons, 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 wine glasses......but no sponge, no dish cloth, no tea towel.
There was a bottle of detergent and paper towel.
I did send a message about it on our first day, but did not get a response.
- Wendy (10/5): -
- eryn (6/5): it was fine. - The location is nice. no human-to-human contact or hospitality.
- Goupil (9/5): - Bel emplacement, beau logement spacieux Matelas creux
- Murphy (5/5): Good location but issues. Would not recommend - No breakfast??
Room was comfortable and clean but it is on second floor, narrow stairway and no emergency exit available on that floor. Outside parking area had lots of construction wood, nails. Very small
We had to call to get a code to open the outside door. Nothing was pre arranged.
- Alexis (10/5): -
- Abdullai (10/5): -
- Alanna (5/5): Just ok . - Close to every thing A few notes was taped to desk a
D front door saying very tersely that no seafood was to be brought onto premises.
Apparently the person that cleaned the room was allergic . Get a new cleaner. You are in the heart of seafood nation. Very unprofessional poor coffee set up .
- John (9/5): Great location, spacious room and bath. - Location was in the center of townâ amongst all the restaurants and bars. Lively during the day, but dead quiet after 10 pm. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Only a suggestion to the owners. Guests enter through a porch at the rear of the building. Porch was dirty, unswept, peeling paint, mildew on siding and a large bag of trash. Does not make a great first impression. The interior was immaculate and lovely.
- Grant (6/5): - Close to everything Bar fridge stopped working
Thought cleaning service would refresh towels,
- Caroline (10/5): -
- Alix (8/5): - Centrally located Location
- Julie (9/5): NS - Clean close quiet spacious Parking lot was not enough a little more coffee and toilet paper
- ellis (8/5): Overall, enjoyed our stay and would stay again. - Location was excellent. Parking was an issue. Felt claustrophobic. Room was uncomfortably warm. Air conditioner worked but was loud.
- Ace Noel (9/5): -
- Shannon (8/5): - Location, character and charm
Bathroom was elegant
Authentic
Comfortable You could hear a lot of noise and movement from other rooms- old building
Parking - only 2 spots available
- Michael (8/5): Great place for a short stayover - Location was great and comfortable
It is a self check in so we did not have any face to face contact with anyone
Car parking is a bonus Stairs are steep inside so carrying cases up is tight but there is an outside staircase which is better providing the weather is good
- David (8/5): -
- Ronalee (10/5): - Excellent location and great room
- Khristian (10/5): A historical sleep - We had the two upper rooms and were super pleased. The beds were super comfy, the huge bath tubs (one with bubbles) were relaxing. The location is perfect. Self check in was super super super easy (not sure why others have had problems....the door all but flung itself open to welcome us đ) . Yes, the floors creak and sounds carry, but this house is a piece of history so that should be expected.
- Michelle (10/5): Spacious, clean and comfortable place in excellent location. - Spacious suite, great view. Sitting area outside of room a bonus. Very comfy bed. Excellent location. Parking was tricky, especially at same time as another guest.
- Dianne (9/5): Pleasant stay for short visit - Clean, convenient Parking situation. Owner should let people know the situation of only two parking spaces for four rooms ahead of time, and that parking meter starts at 10 am.
- Meriel (9/5): We were very sorry to leave, it was so lovely - Spacious, lovely decor, centrally located. Only 2 car spots for 4 rooms. We had a spot because we arrived early but arriving later would put you at a disadvantage.
- David (10/5): - We have stayed there before. The accommodation. is spacious, clean, well-furnished and centrally located. nothing
- Jie (10/5): Comfortable stay in a heritage home. - Very clean! Comfortable and in good location. Parking space is small.
- Miguel (9/5): -
- Nicole (7/5): Very nice place with awesome view - The view was awesome. Very spacious room with large bathroom with jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. Parking was a little tight. Tv did not work.
- Chelley (10/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): -
- Jeff (9/5): Lovely old lodging in the center of Lunnenberg - The building is lovely. Not really a âdidnât likeâ, but rather just be aware that this is no longer a Bed and Breakfast. There is no one to meet you at the door and no breakfast, simply email instructions on how to get in. That is fine and many people prefer it. It certainly is less work for the owner and hopefully lower cost for the client.
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Lucie (9/5): -
- Heather Baylis (9/5): - Fabulous old home turned into an inn. Great location on a main street. Shops and restaurants all around us. The Bluenose II was visible from our window suite. The ocean was one street down. No toaster in the kitchenette.
- Susan (9/5): Right spot for everything. - Location was perfect. Location, being close to restaurants and waterfront.
- Trevor (10/5): -
- Craig (8/5): -
- Aidan (10/5): -
- Gary (10/5): - The property is well positioned in Lunenburg for everything. There is parking for 2 of 4 rooms with lots of options outside. The views from our second floor room were excellent. The whole property was spotlessly clean with easy access using a door code. The amenities were excellent too. The bathroom was large with a bath with a great shower over. The bed was comfortable Lunenburg is a busy place during the day and there can be a little noise from the street and passers by. However the whole place goes quiet by about 9pm through until 7am.
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Caren (10/5): Lovely Inn - Great location across the street from restaurants and shops Did not have a sports channel to watch the Blue Jays game
- Antonia (8/5): -
- Hanna (8/5): -
- Catherine (5/5): Dissatisfied - Location Vertical access not functioning well.
Email info for access incorrect.
Tv damaged, not working
- Allan John (9/5): - Good central location.
Easy to check in, very clean and comfortable. Lack of a kettle in the kitchen.
- Marcel (10/5): -
- Christa (10/5): I would definitely stay there again. So incredibly charming - Location was excellent
The room and facilities had absolutely everything we needed TV not functional
- Susan (8/5): -
- Reg (8/5): Lunenberg was great and being in the middle of town was ideal. - Great location and view was spectacular. Needs a coat of paint to keep up with the charm of Lunenburg. First impression of the building was poor and yet the room was good.
- Claus (10/5): - Lage, Ausstattung Zimmer
- Robert (10/5): A pleasure to stay - Clean, spacious, convenient location, comfortable.
- Lila (8/5): - The parking was difficult. A vehicle had parked perpendicular to our parking spot and it would have been impossible to get out of the parking lot. Luckily they were leaving close to when we left, so we just had to wait 10 minutes for them to leave so that we could exit. We donât know what we would have done if they didnât move their car when they did. For this reason, the difficulty parking, we would hesitate to recommend this property.
Other than that, the property was sparkling clean, instructions were clear and it was right in the heart of Lunenberg. So close to the waterfront and restaurants. Very comfy bed and large, well appointed bathroom.
Little extras like cold bottled water in the fridge, toiletries in the bathroom and coffee and tea in the kitchenette.
- Noble (10/5): Great host! Close walking to restaurants and the Bell Museum! Cabot Trail is very close. We - Location!!!
- Fred (8/5): -
- Britta (9/5): -
- Amy (9/5): - I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room - definitely don't judge this book by its cover! Gorgeous wood floors and very spacious room and bathroom. Excellent value - parking was the only issue but manageable. Parking - arrive early to make sure you can get a spot behind the inn. Street parking was manageable and free overnight.
- Sandra (5/5): Not a B&B - View. Clean NOT a B&B. This was a self check in, no staff, just a room place. There is a small frig and coffee maker. Bed was ok but not in the top comfort category. Basically no parking and in very busy area so plan to park a couple blocks away. I would not stay here again.
- Swan (8/5): Met our needs - Well located & met our needs. Very nice big tub/shower A few Can sports channels would be nice. SN & TSN, but not a big deal.
- Stephen (6/5): Visiting Lunenburg as part of a Maritimes fly drive holiday. - Room as described and centrally located. I booked this property based on previous reviews, so I feel that some points need clarifying.
The property is described as a Bed & Breakfast. Guess what, no breakfast, so you need to factor this in when choosing your accommodation.
There is car parking for three cars. We arrived third, but we had a full size hire car, which would have blocked in the other residents, so we elected to park on the street. Street parking is free from 1700 - 1000.
Check-in is remote via e-mail, so there is no opportunity for face to face interaction with the proprietors.
- Jackie (9/5): -
- David (8/5): Excellent despite the above - Instructions for accessing room No breakfast and suggestions for where to go out of date (outlet had closed)
- lymanhar (9/5): - great location. happy to have free parking. amazing bathroom. no issues
- karen (8/5): It was a pleasant, comfortable room with plenty of space in a perfect location. - There was no breakfast. The location was perfect. It would have been nice to meet the hosts. There was only one lamp in the room other than the overhead light. Not enough parking.
- Gypsi (10/5): -
- Nathalie (10/5): - Super !!!
