Guest Reviews
- Rhonda (10/5): I am so grateful for the Sir Edgar House and its Host. Thank you. - Everything about staying here was wonderful. Exceeding my expectations by leaps and bounds. The breakfasts were delicious and healthy, the room was like a dream and the host was perfect (friendly, accommodating, interesting, thoughtful...). I loved my room (the suite) so much I didn't want to leave. I was staying over in Dauphin because my mother was having surgery and I couldn't have had a more comforting place to return to in the evening and or more relaxing and nourishing in the mornings before heading off to the hospital. - Nora (10/5): Perfect B&B - The host, the atmosphere, breakfast and the bed were excellent! Would always stay there again.
- Chris (10/5): I will stay at Sir Edgar every time I'm passing through Dauphin. Excellent B and B at right price. -
- Rachelle (8/5): The room was clean and spacious and quiet. - Our breakfast were good. The owner checked with us the day before to see if what he was planning was acceptable. The breakfast were tasty.
- King (10/5): I was so comfortable staying here for the night that I regretted only staying one night. Beautiful house with a beautifu - Beautiful heritage building that has been meticulously maintained and cared for. Nothing
- Panayiotis (9/5): -
- Hayden (10/5): - excellent staff!! So helpful and seemed to genuinely care about who I was and what I was doing.
- Kolisnyk (9/5): This is a wonderful and charming place to stay while visiting Dauphin. - Light breakfast of waffles, sausage, yogurt and berries was delicious. The location is great and easy to find. Easy street parking was an added bonus. The bed was too firm for the both of us. Might be a good question to ask future lodgers as there was a mattress topper available which we would have used if we had known.
- Betty (10/5): - Very comfortable. Home away from home. Do well taken care of by the Host. Excellent btrwkfast ro start your day. Would be helpful if outside stairs had a reading for those of us that are seniors
- Debra (10/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): Home away from home - The suite, the ensuite, the breakfast, and our host Cordell. The lighting in the ensuite needs to be brighter.
- Blair (10/5): - Needed a room for one night while travelling for work. Didn't spend much time in the home, but would have liked to spend more time there! Comfy bed, hot shower and lots of character throughout the home. The breakfast and coffee in the morning was really lovely and much apreciated. N/a
- Sunflower57 (10/5): Dauphin Delight - Made to feel like family. The host is warm and welcoming without being over bearing. Beautiful clean character home in the heart of Dauphin. That we couldn't stay longer.
- Michael (8/5): A lovely B&B in this out of the way place - Great B&B, everything we wanted. Facilities were great. I've only marked it down slightly because the bed was smaller than we were used to. We knew that when we booked, so no complaints.
The host was great and very friendly. I can highly recommend this accommodation. It was all we expected and we'll priced. So no complaints.
- Serhii (10/5): Very good stay! - During our trip to Dauphin, we decided to stay at the Sir Edgar House B&B. A beautiful wooden house (which was built in 1898, but even after many years remains in excellent condition), antique furniture, paintings and interior items, cleanliness and order, thanks to the efforts of friendly and hospitable owners, create an atmosphere of aristocratic grandeur, home comfort and peace of mind.
The house is located in a quiet, convenient place, in the center of Dauphin, nearby there are many different shops, institutions and attractions. Also, it is not far from the city to drive to the Riding Mountain National Park, which was the main purpose of our trip.
The time spent in the room, walks around the city, an excursion to the national park left in our memory pleasant, unforgettable impressions of the trip.
Despite our not-so-perfect knowledge of English, we had a very meaningful and pleasant conversation with Mr. Cordell over breakfast.
Thank you Mr. Cordell and Mrs. Loralyn Lind for your hospitality, excellent service and delicious food!
Highly recommended!

Family suite with the private washroom
- Carlos (10/5): A cozy and convenient place with an outstanding host - Sir Edgar is a little gem in Dauphin. It's a 100 year old house with all the charm you can imagine. Our host Cordell is super friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The breakfast is remarkable and has great taste. There is a mini fridge, coffee machine, water (cold and hot) a TV and books in the living room.
This is our second year staying there and we are already making plans for next year as there are many attractions and activities nearby.
The room we choose is the main one with a terrace including a table and chairs, a main bed and a sofa bed in the room living room. A complete bathroom with shower door completes the experience.
The main room is facing the Main Street but it's quiet compared to city noises. There is a 7 eleven at 2 blocks and a Mr Mikes restaurant nearby with good options to lunch or dine. The mattress in the sofa bed could be firmer /quieter.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, clean, great host. Experience the great history of the 1900 era house. Location is on main street, but stay was excellent.
- Mark (10/5): pleasant and beautiful like going back in time - elegant
- Ushi (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful elegant house. Room just beside the washroom.
Breakfast is tasty.
- James (10/5): Sir Edgar House exeeded our expectations. - The house was very clean & it had a calm and quiet atmosphere.
The host was gracious and welcoming and cooked fantastic breakfasts. Nothing that I can think of that needs improving.

- Rhonda (10/5): Would highly recommend to anyone...would definitely go back!! - Breakfast was amazing. Location was wefect. Very hospitable. Nothing!
- Laura (9/5): Great place, clean and great host. - The room and bathroom were very clean, which is very important to me. The host, Cordel, was great. He was available, friendly, and interesting to speak with. The room was, as expected, very comfortable and had a large closet. Other places we used, have trinkets everywhere and the little storage space is used by the host to store blankets and linen so that I don't have room for my clothes. cannot think of anything
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (10/5): Practically perfect in every way. - Beautiful turn of century (early 1900’s) Victorian home. Beautifully renovated and maintained. Spacious private suite on second floor. TV is in dining area sitting room on main floor. Impeccably CLEAN. Hardwood floors. Walk in shower with modern bathroom fixtures. Many antique furnishing throughout house. Host is super hospitable. Very comfortable bed and sitting area in suite. Walk out enclosed balcony overlooks street. Quiet location considering proximity to a Main Street. Delicious breakfast included. Great value.
- Lawrence (10/5): Comfortable setting for the value - We were greeted warmly and taken care of. The breakfast was outstanding. The renovated bathroom was very nice and very clean. The house was on a busy street and there was some extra noise. The bed was a little small, but it was exactly as advertised so we were not disappointed.
- Bonnie (10/5): The best bed and breakfast I have stayed with - Simply the best ! Clean comfortable relaxing atmosphere The host was wonderful helped with my luggage. I enjoyed an amazing breakfast with great coffee. 😊
- Andrée (10/5): Exceptional - The house is easily found, and Cordell The Host, was very welcoming into their beautiful home. We had a nice tour, the home boasts comfortable spaces, and historical architecture. The rooms were comfortable, and clean. And the whole atmosphere of the home is very relaxing and charming.
- Constantine (10/5): Very interesting old house - Everything was great. The host is a very intelligent and interesting man who knows a lot and we had a nice breakfast talk with him. Thanks a lot.
We had free upgrades and stayed in a beautiful huge room with a private bathroom.
This is a beautiful old house.
The host tried to help us with our flat tire, thanks a lot for the advice. Nothing at all.

- Glady (10/5): Relaxing place - The house is very cozy. It has a great character and interesting history. The bathroom is very clean. The bed is soft. The living room has fireplace and very relaxing to just sit and read. The owner is very kind and polite. Will definitely stay again in this place.
- Orison (10/5): I say yes to Bed and breakfast - I drove up and the character of the place is different but in a good way. I liked the room with its ambiance. It can really set the mood for a romantic getaway. It is reallyquiet and without tv in the room you can really sleep in by accident, like I did. Cordell was a very good host with good historical information about sir Edgar House. I never stayed at a bed and breakfast but this is where it is at. The breakfast was awesome. I would say it is worth the money. I would honestly stay here again no question. I did not have or see anything I did not like when staying here.

- Betsy (10/5): We would surely return. - My husband and I enjoyed our two nights at Cordell’s. The family suite was spacious and comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. We slept well and enjoyed a bountiful breakfast each morning. Cordell is a very interesting man with whom we chatted about several topics as we ate. Nothing
- Cstherine (10/5): Home away from home - What a wonderful stay we had at this historic home. The owner met us upon arrival and gave us a tour. We had a wonderful bedroom suite and had such a great sleep. There was a small veranda of the bedroom where we sat and had a coffee. Breakfast was included and had homemade waffles and sausages with yogurt and blueberries. Cordell made better coffee than Tim's!!! We would stay here again and will tell everyone what a gem we found . With a great host a wonderful place to sleep and a fantastic breakfast what is there not to like?
