• Brian (3/5): Prepare for a lot of noise - Good location, windowless room (useful for sleeping actually), clean shared bathroom There was so much noise. Like an unbearable amount that I woke up several times - and I don’t wake up easily. There was just always the noise of maybe a boiler, unclear, but then at 9am onwards the sounds of hammering and construction work was awful. Couldn’t use the only available bathroom either since it turns out they’d gotten construction in at 9am to fix it up?

• Jenna (10/5): Exceptional - The same as in the photos. It was really cozy! The allotted fridge area was a plus point because you can cook. Room heater was not functioning when I arrived so I needed to call the staff for it. It's a bit inconvenient because I need to wait for it to be fixed. They should have checked those things before the renter arrived to avoid inconvenience. Further, the hair blower has no adapter (it's like a Uk plug). Nonetheless, everything is good.
• Maimaiti (8/5): good facilites good location and a good short experience - i stayed a night in a hostel right opposite to this. however, no fresh air windows, no kitchen facilities, no laundry stuff and room size was smaller. luckily, we got clean, larger room, with fully equipped kitchen and laundry, large window view towards the city life, but its really quite inside. As a family we definitely got much better experience with all these advantages. definitely recommend. The check in flexibility was a bit strict that one has to check in before 8 pm. I would expect an instruction to get a self check-in procedure if the guest come late which i did in my current hostel.

I waited for almost 30 nervous minutes at the front of the building after an being in transit from USA for 15 hours having no information where the unit eas nor how to get in. I asked everyone around. Their handyman George came out and pretended he did not understand me and called someone and then walked away. I asked, who did you call? Is anyone coming? Am I in the right place? He just laughed and scootered away. The reception person showed up several minutes. My room was shared with 2 water heaters which made it really hot and the new manager who took two days to pretend he was Yulia, the owner, who wasnt in town told me I could not use the AC to cool down the overheated room without paying $10euro per day. Then I find out the day Im checking out from one if the cleaning people tjat the room

But the room we were put, was right across the main street, and there was a lot of noise due to cars which made it hard to sleep. No warm water to shower for almost 2 days. The showers are shared with all the rest of the rooms, which was unfortunate since it was not stated. I shared the room with my friends and one of the beds was not comfortable, which made it difficult to sleep in. Keep in mind that using AC will cost extra money if you want to use it.

• Bronte (1/5): Horrible - Absolute scam. Avoid at all costs. The room you get is not what’s on booking.com. You get a tiny shoebox of a room that’s not clean. You also have to abide by very strict rules. You get only 4 hours to check in from 4-8pm and if you are outside of this time you get charged (in cash) 30 euro. It’s Ran by Russian mobsters. I didn’t feel safe and they also don’t offer luggage hold (not that I would trust them anyway). Avoid at all costs Avoid

• Mikael (5/5): Passable - The location is pretty good There was no way to lock the room from the inside. The bathrooms were constantly out of soap and toilet paper. The room (nr. 2) had a boiler which was noisy whenever the water was running somewhere in the complex. You could hear the other guests almost all of the time. No windows (but I did not expect that either).

I will be fine wherever is it because i always takes me not professional staff at all, screaming by phone, hanging up the phone, can't explain normal what we don't understand about booking, taked extra money on arriving day , says that its mine mistake and booking. BUT when i contacted them before arriving and gently asked some details , noone saw any mistakes in that time... very very very not professional, only moneymaker. wi-fi was working only in first day. the bed linen was not clean, there was someone else's black hair in the bed. wet cleaning of the floor is not known when it was carried out I didn't spend my time for making any foto of this

• Roberta (9/5): nice and comfortable room - The room was very big and the facilities very clean, the bathroom is shared but was always free, there are two bathroom, so normally you find always one free. Also the check in was very efficient and the staff friendly. The position also perfect. It was a very nice stay, maybe just they should add detectors for smoke or make more clear to the guests that is not allowed to smoke in the rooms, I am not a smoker and I could smell a bit of smoke in the room.

• Denny (8/5): Very comfortable and perfect location - I stayed in Rooms Balles for 9 nights and I would definitely recommend the apartment. The location is perfect to drive nearly everywhere in the city within 20-30 min. and it's super comfortable to have a kitchen so you can prepare your own food if you don't want to eat outside every day. I had like a balcony/ wintergarden for myself next to my room what made it quite comfortable to read, write or eat. The only minus here I could think of is that the walls are not the thickest so I could actually hear my neighbors but I think that is very common and wasn't a problem during my stay there.

Otherwise it is horrible value and very scammy and I would not recommend They tried to charge us $10 euro per day to have the remote use the aircon - if you do stay here just know there’s a button on the aircon to turn it on (sometimes on the outside and sometimes under a flap)! They also are very discreet in their listing but it is a SEPARATE SHARED BATHROOM!! They also had bed bugs - my husband came away with quite a few bites. We arrived earlier then the 4pm check in and just note this is an Airbnb style place - there is no reception - and asked if we could store our bags before check in - they wouldn’t. Also if you stay here on a weekend just note the apartment building it’s in is a big party building and got woken up by yelling/excessively loud music/fights/talking right outside the window in the apartment next door around 2-3am.

A bus may be more suitable. A very nice room with a double bed and a fold out sofa. There are 2 shared bathrooms, so you shouldnt have to wait for one to be free. The property is a bit misleading: it says an apartment with a shared bathroom. It is actually a room with a shared bathroom and shared kitchen. Thats hardly an apartment, as advertised. Also the room says it includes air-conditioning. It does, but you must pay €10 per night in cash upfront. This really should be clearly listed on booking.com, but is not.

• James (9/5): Great Central Location in BCN - Room Balmes location is in central Barcelona and easy to get everywhere on public transportation. Single bed room was small but comfortable and clean. The shared bathrooms and kitchen were always clean and modern. I would stay here again on my next visit to Barcelona.

Very noisy since the room is in the first floor. Someone tried to enter our room during the night (maybe was on the wrong door, but still). The employee said that don’t worry it’s nothing. But maybe it was the language barrier since he spoke little to no english.

• Ya-yu (3/5): Poor - good location, but very noisy. staff are pretty rude, first they told me luggage storage fee is 5 euros, but I didn't have 5 euros, so I putted 10 euros on the desk wait to get the change back when picking up my luggage, but then they suddenly change the fee to 10 euros and refuse to give my change back. Since I was arguing with them about the fee I left in a hurry, so I forgot a brand new bottle of shampoo in the bathroom, the next day I ask if I can stop by and take my things back, they lied to me that the bathroom is empty and didn't give me answer to enter the apartment to check, so I decide to stop by anyway, and my stuff was perfectly there in the bathroom (which they swear there's nothing inside).
• Karin (8/5): Clean and well located. - good location In room 5 you could hear the flush of the apartments bathroom as well as what seemed the flush of the other apartments. Not being able to store luggage before check-in was an inconvenience. I arrived on a Sunday and there were no locker stores opened.
• Rimas (9/5): Stay in Central Barcelona - Great location, comfy bed, everyting clean. Decent kitchen facilities and bathrooms. The room is in the bassement, so no view, quite dark, but OK if you just need a stay in central place. Also no heating in March, which for some might be dissapointing, but AC in summer months.
• M (1/5): Don't STAY THERE!!! - All, don't GO THERE. The room has a code, so anyone can enter beforehand, it can't be locked from the inside! I was there earlier than check-in, I just wanted to leave my luggage and enjoy the nice day. I called the 2 numbers that I had as a contact, finally a woman named Maria picked up from one of them and said that she doesn't speak English so I should write to her. He told me to find a place to l find a place to leave my luggage. After I called her at 16:00 that I was there, she came at 16:30. In the room, there was luggage and the phone of the last people, she told me that they would come to get them, then she decided to take them out of the room. I threw them on the ground floor, I don't know what happened to them. We were tired and went to bed, someone tried to enter our room, we had put a suitcase next to the door because it doesn't lock from the inside, so you so is not the some place. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!

Seems to be a recently refurbished apartment (new floors, new toilette, recently painted) I paid € 5 for clean bedding sheets. But the (fitted) bedsheet had some long hairs....that made me think bedsheets where not changed for myself (new guest)
• Γιάννης (1/5): Not worth it - The location 1. It was misleading the fact that the property had shared bathroom, not mentioned clearly on booking.com 2. The bed had a very slight blanket, which could not make us feel warm 3. The remote control for the air condition was missing, so we didn't have the chance to make the room temperature at least proper for sleeping. I was with my son, 9y.o., and we had a difficult time. I slept wearing my jeans and jacket, as if I was homeless.

• Ann (10/5): Perfect rooms 🤩 - Rooms Balmes was a great centrally located accommodation. It gave us freedom in that there was a kitchen plus 2 bathrooms (shared) which was not a problem. Everything was very clean, we had a double room with balcony. The location was excellent for all the sights. Lots of shops, bars & restaurants in the area with a wide range of food and prices. Perfect choice if you are an adventurous type of person and don't like to be tied down to hotel timetables. Nothing at all.
