• Pedro (10/5): Excecional e incrível - A localização no Vale. A vista para o Vale. Rodeado de natureza. Os colaboradores eram super simpáticos e amáveis e ajudaram com alguns pontos da minha viagem. Jantei no alojamento e a comida era ótima, muito bem servida. Recomendo o mojito de grogue como drink. O quarto era lindo e super confortável em todos os aspectos. Tive pena de ir embora. Voltarei! • ROUAUD (10/5): Un très bel endroit sur l'île de Santo Antao - Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner dans deux chambres différentes lors de notre court séjour à la Casa Cavoquinho. Une vue magnifique sur la vallée de Paul, des repas succulents, et un accueil exemplaire ! Nous recommandons cet endroit comme point de départ de formidables randonnées. L'éclairage un peu limité dans les chambres.

Ne pas hésiter à demander où trouver ce chemin, la population locale est adorable.

• Chris (7/5): Fijn verblijf maar porties mogen royaler. - Prachtige ligging in een groen dal midden in de natuur. Toplocatie en vriendelijk personeel! Drinkwater is gratis beschikbaar. Goede informatie over omgeving en wandelingen. Veel wandelmogelijkheden ( voor de rest is er weinig te doen)! Kamer was klein en erg basic: geen stoel of haakjes om iets op te hangen. Geen waterkoker. Avondmaaltijd was zonder meer lekker maar vrij kleine porties en afgemeten : zeker als je de hele dag gewandeld hebt zouden de porties groter mogen zijn. Ook de glazen wijn waren zuinig ingeschonken. Bij het ontbijt slechts één kopje koffie en weinig beleg... Beetje flauw ook dat het toetje niet inbegrepen was in het menu.... in het nabijgelegen hotel Panoramico voor dezelfde menuprijs wel een heerlijk toetje.

• ROUAUD (10/5): Séjour magnifique à la Casa Cavoquinho - Cet établissement a incontestablement plusieurs points forts : la vue magique qu'il offre sur la vallée de Paul; le sens de l'accueil (le personnel de l'hôtel est prévenant, très agréable, et de bon conseil); la propreté et le confort de la literie; et surtout les délicieux repas (petits-déjeuners et dîners) proposés par l'établissement. Pour tout cela, un grand merci à nos hôtes ! C'était un plaisir de séjourner dans cet endroit magnifique ! Merci également à vous pour avoir gardé ma veste, car je l'avais oubliée à l'hôtel, et j'ai pu facilement la récupérer avant la fin du séjour sur l'île (en prenant un aluguer depuis Paul, sur la côte, l'accès est relativement facile). Enfin, nous précisons que nous avons pu réaliser plusieurs randonnées au cours du séjour, grâce aux itinéraires sélectionnés par l'établissement. Cela ne devrait pas vous freiner à réserver dans cet hôtel, mais sachez qu'il offre peu d'équipements dans les chambres et dans la salle de bains : mobilier et éclairage limités. En même temps, nous sommes au coeur des montagnes, et c'est le lieu idéal pour se ressourcer !

Nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de bienveillance et reçus au préalable toutes les informations nécessaires pour accéder au logement depuis la gare maritime. Des repas locaux et très bons. A ne pas rater si vous venez à Paul.

• Hans (9/5): Topper in de Paúlvallei, op het pad naar de Cova - De rust, het uitzicht, comfortabele kamers, zeer vriendelijk personeel (Aracy, Sissy, Olaf,...), de communicatie vooraf met de Spaanse eigenaar Jose en de gesprekken met hem tijdens het verblijf en last but not least: de heerlijke diners, deze kokkin kent haar vak. De regen ...net de pech dat dit voor april zeer uitzonderlijk is.

We received tips for our hikes, taxi was arranged and the hotel dog joined us on 2 hikes which was really fun. We had dinner here every night and each time was something different but equally amazing! The bed was a bit small and on the harder side, the only small complaint we have.

We could enjoy Pombas and piscinas naturales on our last day and have our luggages delivered to us together with a private ride to Porto Novo to cath the ferry. When arriving we had our luggage delivered at the stay so we could enjoy the trek from Cova Crater to Casa Cavoquinho, simplifying logistics a lot! This was perfect for our plans. We enjoyed the vegetarian dinner (a fixed menu changing every night...). Beautiful valley and very nice to walk around there at the end of the day and morning. Very kind and helpful owner who provided precious information and support even prior to our trip.
• Nancy (9/5): - Wir waren 4 Tage zu Gast in der Casa Cavoquinho. Natur pur. Man hat einen traumhaften Blick in das Tal. Das Frühstück und Abendessen wird traditionell und mit heimischen Zutaten zubereitet. Es ist sehr lecker, abwechslungsreich und ausreichend. Trinkwasser steht kostenfrei zum Abfüllen in eigene Flaschen zur Verfügung. Der Ort eignet sich super als Ausgangspunkt für sehr schöne Wanderungen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank nochmal. Wir hatten im Monat März ziemlich nasses Wetter mit zum Teil Dauerregen. Wenn die Kleidung, Schuhe von der Wanderung nass sind, besteht keine Möglichkeit diese zu trocknen. Wegen der hohen Luftfeuchte trocknet nichts von allein.

• Sara (10/5): - Best stay we had in Cabo Verde! The staff are very friendly and approachable. The room was remarkably clean and tidy on a daily basis. The location is great for walks in Paul Valley, without requiring transportation. To visit other villages on the island you require transports, but the colectivos (shared taxi) run very frequently on week days (we have struggled on Sunday since they run less frequently). There are really good restaurants walking distance in the area. The food served at dinner is amazing! 3 course meal and big portions, all fresh ingredients. Also, great breakfast everyday (fruit juice, coffee, eggs, toast, cakes, jam, yogurt and cereals) The people in Paul Valley are very chilled and friendly, they always great you with a smile 😊 there’s also a small shop around the corner for essentials. The view of the Paul Valley from the property is breathtaking! Casa Cavoquinho is definitely a must in Cabo Verde

Lite kallt o fuktigt när det regnade, kunde vara bra med ett element eller liknande de få tillfällen det är så.

• Julie (10/5): Highly recommend this wonderful guesthouse! - If you can stay here, please do! The location is wonderful, a great starting point for many hikes and with a wonderful view over the Paúl valley. All rooms have a good view, but the one at the top is really stunning. The guesthouse is basic but nicely decorated, with sustainable materials and furnitute made by local crafts(wo)men. José and Belem are extremely friendly and helpful hosts, who thought along when our flights were delayed and had a lot of great hiking tips and routes. Dinner is also amazing, served by very friendly staff. Nothing!

• Davi (10/5): Amzing place and wonderful people! - The accomodation and location are very nice. But most of all, the people were very welcoming. Besides the lovely breakfastst and dinners they helped us book tours and gave advice on hikes. The rooms were cleaned every day and were very clean!

• Natascha (10/5): - Geweldige plek! Adembenemend uitzicht, heerlijk gegeten, lekkere drankjes zoals verse sap, goede koffie en wijn. Fijne bedden en een warme douche. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Informatie over diverse hikes aanwezig. Helaas maar 1 nacht kunnen blijven.

• Weekers (9/5): Op gaan in de natuur bij Casa Cavoquinho - Waaaauw, wat een plaatje! Geen foto kan laten zien hoe mooi deze accommodatie ligt. Wij kwamen op het eiland voor de beleving van de natuur en als dat is wat je zoekt, verblijf dan hier. Het eten 's avonds is heerlijk, het personeel is super lief en samen is het een onvergetelijke ervaring. Eigenlijk niks. Tja, de kamer is niet super groot, de WiFi werkt niet op de kamer en amper op de veranda en het weggetje ernaar toe is een uitdaging. Maar laat het allemaal geen redenen zijn om niet te boeken. Het valt in het niet bij de rest!
• Davi (10/5): This is a very good option for this area. - Very friendly and helpful people. Warm welcome on arrival and nice breakfast every morning. Dinners at the casa were also delicious. Beautiful nature and close to nice treks and the Cova crater. Very clean accomodation.

• Laure (10/5): Topverblijf voor wie van wandelen houdt - Prachtige ligging, ideale uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen, heerlijk eten, zowel s morgens als s avonds, klaargemaakt en geserveerd door een hartelijk, vrolijk, enthousiast en behulpzaam team!
• jimenez (9/5): Maravilloso - La ubicación inmejorable, estaba en medio del Valle. Los desayunos super bien y también puedes cenar por 16 euros, muy buena toda la cena. Nos tocó una habitación que no daba al valle.
• Maria (9/5): Super!! - Located in the middle of the valley, the view from the room was amazing. Location perfect to do some trecks in the montains. Food was amazing!!! And the staff really friendly

• Delphine (9/5): Très bel établissement - Superbe vue sur les montagnes, lit très confortable et bons conseils sur les randonnées à faire dans la vallée les rideaux pas tout à fait assez grands pour couvrir la fenêtre, si vous êtes sensibles à la lumière le matin, mieux vaut avoir un masque
• Vidal Ayerdi (10/5): Paraiso e inolvidable - Primero las vistas, segundo el personal, tercero Charles ( el perro ), fuimos ha hacer una ruta de unas 4-5 horas y Charles nos acompañó todo el camino haciéndonos de guía, algo que nos encantó. La comida muy buena. Muy hospitalarios y pendientes de tu comodidad en todo momento. Los insectos, tampoco había gran cantidad pero la araña que vimos y tuvimos q matar en la habitación nos fue suficiente, aún y todo tal y como es la isla considero bastante normal que haya insectos
• Hendrik (10/5): - Casa Cavoquinho is a wonderful little place with a fantastic view over the Paul Valley. Great base for hikes in the area. Belen & Jose as well as their team are really nice people and very supportive in anything from transport to hiking advice and food. Thanks for the short but great stay!

• Carlos (10/5): Memorable estancia en un lugar espectacular - El valle de Paul es un lugar de gran belleza muy apropiado para el senderismo y el contacto con la naturaleza y la vida rural de sus habitantes. No se encuentran aquí, que yo haya visto, edificios con ascensores y ese tipo de comodidades. Supongo que quienes buscan alojarse aquí son conscientes de esto. Casa Cavoquinho me pareció una opción difícilmente mejorable para pasar unos días en la zona. La habitación era muy luminosa y con unas vistas extraordinarias. Los desayunos y las cenas eran muy buenos y se proporcionaba información valiosa sobre posibles caminatas, excursiones y medios de transporte. Belén y José son estupendos y Sissy, Olavo y Jamira, simpáticos y eficientes. Me quedó un gran recuerdo del tiempo que pasamos allí. Califico mi estancia con un diez porque no se puede poner un once. El acceso al edificio no es sencillo para las personas que tengan problemas de movilidad. Eso debe ser tenido en cuenta.
