- Sebastian Andreas (8/5): -
- cath (7/5): Old fashioned B&B with a welcoming host - Really nice location… handy for Kew Gardens.
Chris was kind and helpful…. Managing the whole business pretty heroically It would probably benefit from a really good spring clean 😊
- sylvie (9/5): - L endroit calme et proche de kew garden station and garden. Peu de choix au petit dejeuner . Pas de viennoiseries.
- VeejayC (9/5): -
- Ludovic (8/5): un bon B&B près des Archives Nationales Britanniques - très bon accueil de Chris.
j'ai choisi cet établissement qui se trouve près des Archives Nationales britanniques, en fait à 5-7min à pied. C'est très pratique.
- Kari (1/5): How this place can get more than 8 in rating is a mystery ! - Location. The rooms, beds, bathroom and toilet were not at all clean! The whole place looked worn out and outdated. No locks on doors. The lid on the kettle in the room crumbled. The breakfast was an absolute minimum. The host disappeared after a short introduction and was not available later. We had no tel.number. We left the place after 1 night (but payed for 3 nights).

- Peter (7/5): A B&B with good host in a B&B that feels long running. - continental breakfast but good and ample. Shared bathroom at top very small but access to large bathroom downstairs.
- John C (8/5): Old Style B&B - I have stayed here once before and will stay here again when I go to the National Archives. A great breakfast, An old style B&B. There are no on suite bathrooms that could be awkward for some. But given the reasonable prices, something many can happily live with.
- Andrea.lcd (10/5): - Tipica casetta a schiera londinese. La posizione era perfetta per le mie esigenze. Sono stato piacevolmente colpito dall'accoglienza, era come stare in famiglia. Massima pulizia.
- karen (8/5): - Perfect location for Kew Gardens, walkable from Kew Bridge and Kew Gardens stations. Quiet, good continental breakfast .Good sized room
- Heather (7/5): Comfortable, friendly B&B. Good location at a fair price. - Very good location, close to Kew Gardens and Richmond. Chris and Shirley are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous with juice, toast, fruit and cereal. The room and bathroom could have been cleaner. The bathroom was very small and difficult to use.
- Charles (10/5): Very convenient, just a short walk to Archives and a good choice in of places to eat in the evening. - everything Sharing bathroom

- ye (9/5): - 离国家档案馆只有5分钟步行的路程 早餐改善,房门加锁
- Greta (10/5): Well worth it!!!! - The hosts were very attentive and caring! Always making sure I had what I needed for a good, comfortable stay and preparing an absolutely lovely breakfast each morning! The room was clean, comfortable and had lovely teas and coffees in the room. Even better was the fan provided as I definitely needed it! Additionally the view from my room was so nice!!!
Thank you!!! That my stay wasn't longer!
- Direcció General Fundació Carl Faust (9/5): - . .
- Janet (5/5): Convenient, not far from event - Breakfast was good
- Donna (3/5): Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone. - Location to Kew Gardens It was rather unclean dust on the lampshade must not have been dusted for years, really could do with a good cleaning everywhere. A big grubby 🙈
- Clare (9/5): Superb -
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (9/5): Lacking nothing for a home B&B - Perfect for Kew Gardens Nothing
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
- Annelies (7/5): Confortable - Breakfast was nice. Hospitality. I like the atmosphere. It is a typical English house. The room could have been cleaned a bit better (wiping off table and other objects). The shower mats were mouldy underneath, they just need cleaning. Same for the breakfast table. It looks like it is not wiped off every day.
- Peter (10/5): A simple old style, B and B - A basic old style, B and B sharing bathrooms, with a good simple breakfast. A good deal financially for visiting London, but especially if you wish to spend a day at Kew Garden. Several restaurants are within easy reach for evening meal. The top bathroom was extremely small, but another larger bathroom was available
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): I felt at home - I liked being made to feel at home. Also at a B&B, one gets to have some company at breakfast. Meeting people is part of travel; one doesn't get that staying at a hotel. Also I liked the coffee supplied in the room.
- Josephiness (10/5): A home away from home. - Location for the archives could not be better.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Wonderful hosts.
- Doug (10/5): This was my second visit to your house, I will be back. - The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and a great way to start the day. Chris is a warm welcoming host and ensured everything I needed was taken care of.
- Daniel (8/5): Spot on for a straightforward unfussy stay in a friendly house. - Absolutely fine. Plenty of fruit, cereals and toast. Set us up very well for the day. I'd missed that the room had a second blackout blind.
- Graeme (7/5): Good -
- Adrian (8/5): Eats Shoots and Leaves! - Second time here and just as good as the last, the owners are very nice and have a lovely house. Towels are provided for the shared Shower facilities and the toilet was just outside the door. I was in a twin bedroom and it was very comfy. Breakfast is fresh fruit, yogurt's and cereal, with toast, Juices and Tea and Coffee provided. Very handy for the Gardens of course and the shops are not too far away. Lots of nice pictures of airplanes are hung on the walls. Nothing.
- Kirsty (8/5): Very good -
- Bryony (8/5): Thank you so much for hosting me, I had a wonderful stay and hopefully will return in the future! - Hosts were very accommodating and welcoming, a comfortable and well appointed room to stay in and a wonderful location for exploring Kew Gardens and the surrounding area.
- Shivani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Ellen (9/5): Cosy and convenient - Chris was an amazing host, couldn't do more if he tried. Cute quirky b&b like home from home Beds a little uncomfortable but not awful, no locks on room doors
- Grace (10/5): Excellent I will be back in the future - The location was very handy for the national archives.
Chris and Shirley were very accommodating, helpful and kind
I will definitely book another visit
- Christopher (8/5): Convenient, Friendly B&B close to National Archives. - It was very close to the National Archives, a seven minute walk. Thus, it was good for people visiting the National Archives. The morning breakfast included much fresh fruit, orange juice, many kinds of cereal and yogurt. There was a shared bathroom down the hall but it did not cause a problem as there were only two guest during my stay.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Comfortable and friendly -
- Paul (10/5): Excellent - I had a warm welcome from Chris. The b&b is a lovely, warm place that caters for short or long stay guests. I thoroughly recommend for visitors to Kew area who use public transport and walk because of the central location.
- Cogswell (8/5): I would certainly go back and stay again - with the above proviso. - Hosts were great. Breakfast and breakfast service was great. I would never stay on 2nd floor again. Stairs (I'm not very mobile). Low sloped ceilings (I'm a big guy). Tiny shower and bathroom (likewise)
- Malgorzata (3/5): It was my first and probably last stay at B&B, I'll look for hotel next time. - Proximity to my venue. Wasn't smelly Room and beddings were very outdated , not hoovered, mirrors and glass on bedside table were covered with dust and dirty. The worse for me, was lack of privacy , I couldn't locked my room! with strangers in house I didn't feel safe as woman. My belongings I had to leaved in unlocked room. I got only key for front/main doors.
- Charles (10/5): A pleasent stay and good value comparing it to the alternatives in the area. - Breakfast suited my tastes very well.
The location was very close to the Nat Archives and close to several nice restaurants for an evening meal.
I found the owners, pleasent and helpful The room was a little small, OK for me on my own but a little small if I had been sharing.
Similarly the shared bathroom on the top floor was small. However I will be happy to use Forest Road on a further visit to the Archives
- Marjorie (10/5): Highly recommend as a great place in a quiet corner of London. - Great location, lots of public transport options, marvellous house, bedroom was ace and the hosts were wonderful. Breakfast every morning was lovely. That I couldn’t live there!!
- Lee (7/5): Not worth the money - The location There is no locks on the bedroom doors! Chris made us feel like an inconvenience, as he kept telling us, the earlier we check out, the better ad he had things to do. He also informed us of the breakfast time being dead on 8am, we didn't want breakfast, but Chria decided he would wake us all up at 8am anyway. We did not as to be woken up at this time! Very old decor.
- Ronan (7/5): Good - It was close to extended family i was visiting. It is easy to find. Price was high by London standards. The house decor is outdated, needs refurbishing. Especially significant furnishings eg bed and bathroom.
- David (9/5): Superb - The friendly host made me very welcome and provided an excellent breakfast. The room was clean spacious and well provided for. The location was perfect as I was attending an event at Kew Gardens. I left my phone charger in the room and it was mailed back to me. I would most definitely recommend this property.
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenna (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, great hosts and great location! -
- Bryony (1/5): Uncomfortable. Hostile, Did not feel welcome. Rooms were Unclean. -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly host. Breakfast and the location was amazing if you work in the archives in Kew. It is a BnB in Kew. So there will be planes. I didn't mind, but it is something you should take into account.
- Craig (5/5): Passable - Location to town centre Lack of sleep due to noise from trains
- Planetlars (9/5): Chris is a super host - Walking distance to the Tube and famous Kew Gardens Dirty coffee cup and tea spoon in the room on arrival.
- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous and highly recommended - Chris and Shirley made my friend and I very welcome in their Bed & Breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and the location was pefect for our visit to Kew Gardens. Chris was helpful and pointed out good eateries in the area which are all walking distance. I spent the first night alone before my friend arrived and I felt safe walking back from an evening meal to my accomodation along very pretty leafy streets. Breakfast was great and set me up for an enjoyable three day break. Overland and underground stations walking distance too.
- Nicole (8/5): Very good - no lock on your bedroom door so it felt vounable leaving your belongings there why you were out.
- Hazel (8/5): Very good -
- Netty (8/5): Very good - The ideal place if you want to visit the Botanical Gardens as well as the inner city.
Chris and Shirley are lovely hosts, that go out of their way to help.
- Siobhan (10/5): Honestly just a lovely place all round, the hosts were very welcoming. - Everything really. Nothing to dislike.
- Luis (8/5): Very good -
- 八木 (9/5): I could have a good communication with another customers. - Good hospitality and breakfast
I could leave my luggage up to departure. Shower room is not so good. Small
- M (9/5): Friendly host and great location make for a pleasant stay - Host was very friendly and welcoming. Gave me a tour of the place before taking me to my room. Provided me with toast, yogurt and cereal for breakfast. Location was convenient for me as it was a few minutes walk away from Kew Gardens train station which I used to get to and from my event for the weekend
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Lakbir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophia (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (9/5): Superb - Location was great short walk to trains and to Kew gardens Would have been nice to have had a bacon sandwich option for breakfast.
- Grant (9/5): Great short stay, would come again. - Lovely quiet location close to Kew Gardens, access to local tube station etc. Walking distance to Richmond. Wonderful host and quiet comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good albeit a little limited. Shared facilities but for the price it was extremely good value for money.
- Jackie (8/5): Very good - Friendly guest house. Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast.
- Michael (9/5): Excellent stay at Kew Gardens National Archives Forest Road - Had a wonderful stay. The guest rooms were easy to get to, very close to the Kew National Archives and Kew Gardens close to transit and with plenty of shops and pubs in the area. Our hosts were always available without being intrusive. The room itself was spacious, with a washing sink, a desk, tv, kettle with teas and coffee, lots of electrical plugs, and plenty of storage space. The washroom and shower room were separate and both were clean and quite accessible. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. An excellent experience all round and would be happy to return. Nothing - everything was great and nothing to complain about.
- Igor (9/5): Superb -
- Marian (1/5): I have never experienced such a dirty stay and would not wish the experience on anyone. - The location of this property was great--a short walk from the Kew Garden Station, in a quiet neighborhood. Richmond nearby has a nice restaurant scene and it's easy enough to get to the bigger sites around London using public transit. The host, Chris, was friendly. Nearly every surface or item I touched was dirty in some way. Hair stuck in the carpet, hair in the shower, dust and grime on cups upstairs and downstairs, and an absolutely filthy toilet. The house has been owned by the hosts since the 1970s and it would appear that they have not opened a window since then. There is a thick, headache-inducing smell that hits you immediately when you walk in. Some of the food and drink offerings in the morning did not seem sanitary-the array of cereals in reusable containers seemed to have been there for ages, and the plastic wrap over the carafe of milk seemed like an odd choice with only a couple guests in the house. There are no locks on the bedroom doors, and the walls were thin. I regret giving this place my money and would next time go to the B&B down the road.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Chris was so accommodating and helped me out so much, being flexible when my flight was delayed, being quick to respond--even posting me an item I left behind.
- Karen (8/5): KEW - Great hospitality, comfortable bed. Value for money. No key for bedroom door, as sole traveller, felt a bit vulnerable, but all was fine.
- Lucy (8/5): Beautiful hotel and people who run it. - It was away from busy streets and a short walk from Kew Gardens. Even though the train line was close by and location in a flight path, I was undisturbed by this.
The property was beautiful. Old. Had such a charm about it and had been decorated beautifully.
Chris went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable during my stay. He even allowed me to come back after I had taken part at The Kew Run to have a shower. This was after my check out time. I was very appreciative of his kind offer.
- Iryna (10/5): Amazing experience! - I had an amazing experience. The owners were very sweet and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - The kindness shown to me was amazing. I felt very at home, safe and comfortable. Thank you for an amazing stay!
- Gilles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruks (6/5): Pleasant -
- Grimoldby (1/5): Do not stay here 😒 - Location Very bad 👎 not clean at all the people who run this bb should retire don't know why its advertising breakfast as its toast an from the state of the cleaning around the room I would hate to see kitchen we where meet at front door only to be shown how too use the key 🔑 😑 we payed £160 for this pleasure when could have had a proper hotel clean with breakfast 😀 plus the older guy likes to walk around the landing at night when you have no locks on your doors we put the cupboard in fount of the door 😀
- Keith (7/5): Good -
- Keiren (6/5): Pleasant -
- Daria (7/5): Good - Very nice and cozy place
- Adrian (9/5): Watch your head, you only do once! - The owners are a nice and friendly couple. I got there later than I had intended due to the Trains running late, but I was met by the friendly landlady and shown to my room on the top floor and I was given a set of keys. My room was at the top built into the loft with the sloping roof on one side which had two skylight windows with blinds which kept out the light, I was warned to be mindful of the roof. Chest of drawers, table with a chair and a nice and comfortable double bed. TV, wifi, Tea and Coffee making facilities Even though the tube was nearby I didn't hear any of the trains or the plains going to and from Heathrow, It's London so you just blank those things out. A very nice continental breakfast is laid on with lots of different cereals, milk, fresh fruit and yoghurt. A very homely place run by lovely people the house is decorated with nice paintings of nearby places and planes in the dining room. A nice place to go back to. Very handy for the tube, shops, pubs and of course the nearby Kew Gardens.
- J. (8/5): Very good -
- Maried. (8/5): good stay :) - Close to kew gardens, lovely house, good breakfast
- Susan (5/5): Sorry will not be returning as needs new bedding and cushions and carpet at a minimum - Clean. The rooms need updating. All very clean but very old fashioned. And didn’t bother using the separate bathroom.
It was very nice but exceptionally dated for my personal liking.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Very homely feel. Friendly hosts.
- Brian (8/5): Kew at night was a short walk away and on a cold night it was cosy - The breakfast suited me well . Good coffee lots of fruit and hot toast in a charming dining room
It is in older house with lots of original features
A lot of thought went into the choice of tea and coffee
- Denise (8/5): Perfect location in a nice area of Kew in a well maintained property. Would recommend staying there. - Great location and a very clean and well kept property. Nice continental breakfast with plenty of choice.
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clive (8/5): A lovely stay with a homely feel - The couple who run this are lovely and the breakfast is amazing. Great location and spacious rooms.
- Bee (9/5): Superb - Choice for gluten free breakfast and it wasn't any trouble for them
Brilliant customer service
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good - Sink in bedroom and coffee and tea maker. Cannot fault it. Very friendly and helpful.
