Guest Reviews

- Luigina (10/5): - Ottima posizione e accoglienza
- Hatty (9/5): Unique stay in a cosy historic home - Cosy, tastefully decorated attic in a historic house full of character. The place was spotlessly clean and spacious with fast wifi and a microwave, fridge, and kettle for cooking. The host was very kind and we made it work despite language barriers. She left packaged pastries, yogurt and bottled water for breakfast at check-in for the whole stay.
The neighbourhood of Garbatella (100 years old!) was quiet, with supermarkets and inexpensive food in walking distance; you could really experience a local area of Rome. I enjoyed my stay so these are not really complaints, just things to inform future travellers:
- Being in an old wooden house there is zero soundproofing. When others talk, it’s as if they are in the room with you. One night someone talked until past midnight.
- As it’s in someone’s home your check-in and check-out times are limited, and there was no place to keep luggage. Not suitable if you arrive early or stay in the city after check-out or need flexibility.
- Cooking options are limited to microwave and kettle.
- Charlotte (10/5): A very poetic and functionnal place in one of the most beautiful areas of Rome - Very practical: it’s a small appartment under the roof. There’s everything. The decoration of the appartment and the house is really nice, it feels like a theater. Antonella is extremely kind and helpfull. The aera is amazing: the heart of Garbatella. A sort of Berlin life in one of the oldest very typical Rome. A beautiful area, authentic and very poetic. Several very cool bars around. And if you want a place not full of people but with a nice social life, this is ideal. Honestly i found everything nice.
- Katerina (8/5): Overall, a good stay - The room was clean and had everything one might need. The interesting decoration and esthetic of the room makes it a pleasant environment to live in. Garbatella is a very beautiful residential neighborhood of Rome and well connected to the center. Wouldn't recommend to tall people or if you're not at least a bit flexible. The room is in the attic and sometimes the ceiling is too low, or there are narrow spaces with steps, as well as the long pipe that separates the bedroom from the rest of the room (as can be seen in the pictures).
- Jasir (1/5): Bad - Never Ever think of booking this place. This is not even a place to stay in any trip. If you really want to ruin your mood and get pissed off then go ahead. Wondering booking.com is accepting such a worst facilities???? What a disaster. Not even worth for 5 euro per night. Better stay in the metro/bus station than struggling inside there.
- Ian (1/5): I have been using booking.com for many years now but I have never come across such a terrible accommodation as this. It - There was nothing to like about the accommodation. In fact I left within 2 hours because it was so awful. You need to climb over a 1 meter high bar to get into the bedroom (they say it’s necessary to hold the structure together🤨 - see photo), the door to the room was a flimsy concertina style one with the area above it open to the corridor (apparently I was the only one in that section of the accommodation so it was not important - what happens when other people are there? - you hear everything!!!!), it was not clean or pleasant or cosy, there was no curtain over the skylight, the toilet was down a hole (steep steps).
- Nevine (9/5): I had everything I needed and felt welcome - Great location i love Garbatella which is easily accessible by metro or bus & close to the center of Rome. Sig’ra Antonella’s attention to all my needs and kindness A metal bar that separates the bedroom from the rest. Otherwise although the place is not very bright it was cosy & comfortable.
