- 박 (10/5): - The traditional Cypriot style and the charming little decorations perfectly matched my taste. The small balcony outside the room was so cute and cozy.
The homemade meal had a unique flavor I had never experienced before and made me feel healthy. The hosts were very kind and happily explained the village bus schedule and how to get to our destinations. They gave my sister and me an unforgettable memory.
Thank you so much, and I wish you good health and continued prosperity.

- Oksy (10/5): - Sara and Tasos, thank you so much for your hospitality, we had a wonderful time! Your house is simply a gem and the perfect place to recharge your batteries and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a quiet and peaceful life. An old house with creaky thatched ceilings, breakfasts and dinners made exclusively from local farm products, master classes on making Cyprus' national treasure, halloumi cheese, and walks in the cool local mountains, where ordinary tourists rarely venture. Special thanks for the opportunity to relax with our furry, tailed family member! We will definitely be back! We recommend not ignoring the hosts' advice on what to see in the surrounding area. We followed it and didn't regret it for a minute! Nothing, everything was great
- Patrick (10/5): - Was soll man sagen.

- Philip (10/5): Great B&B - Lovely place to stay. Gorgeous court yard and nice rooms. Host was very accommodating and provides a delicious breakfast with local produce. Location was good for us for a wedding and to do a day trip to Nicosia. Thought there isn't too much in the locality, this makes it nice and peaceful.
- Anne (10/5): Our hosts couldn’t have done enough for us. - Authenticity and delightful hosts.
Informal and relaxing stay. Hosts very helpful with local knowledge, eating and exploring.
Great experience with the Halloumi making and gastronomic cookery with Grandma…. ! Nothing !
- De (10/5): Aperanti: an wonderful eye-opener for Cyprus - Aperanti is a wonderful and beautifully renovated old Cypriotic village house with four tastefully decorated B&B rooms, a dining room, lounge area and a lovely small courtyard. Tassos and Sara are the best hosts we’ve ever encountered. They love nature and offer various home-made and organic delicacies at breakfast and dinner. Tassos’ mum prepares tasty Cypriotic pastries that are brought to Aperanti by Tassos’ old man, lovely! Both Tassos and Sara know a lot about local wildlife (e.g. birds) and can provide detailed directions for fantastic hikes, long and short, difgicult and easy. So something for everyone! A home-made map guides you to quite a bunch of nice restaurants, kafeneieons and taverna’s, for instance at Theodosios (typical Cypriotic food).
Long story short: Aperanti is a must for thise that want to experience the real Cyprus! I wouldn’t know of anything.
- Chilled (10/5): A deep feeling of being in the countryside but still close enough to it all - Cyprus is in the nascent stages of agrotourism and what a prospect the country has if this location is anything to go by. We loved our stay, the plush room, the location and, of course, the breakfasts with homemade produce. Nothing.
- Rosie (8/5): Very good - Beautiful traditional building and a lovely little town. The hosts explained many things about the area and the breakfast was great and they went out of their way so I had something to eat which I appreciated. Their local produce is excellent. Would have liked to have been able to use the kitchen, it's not an easy town or area to eat in if you have special dietary requirements.
- Gruyerebob17 (10/5): True Cypriot experience in the heart of the country! - Passionate bed and breakfast concept in the heart of the country in Cyprus. The hosts Sara and Tassos as well as their family, made sure we were feeling like home during our 9-night stay.
If you want to experience the culture and local organic cuisine, this is your place. It's the antithesis of mass resort tourism, just what we were looking for to disconnect from our busy office routines.
The house itself is big, spacious and beautiful. To our surprise it was very well connected to major highways and relatively central for travelling around the country. The room was comfy and we slept great. Breakfast was tasty and homemade, with jams and products from their own garden. The hosts are also very passionate about animals, ask them for more information on what they do to help Cypriot stray dogs and cats in the area.
We also enjoyed the activities offered on site, such as halloumi making. We learnt from Tassos' mother directly, with more than 60 years of experience in cheesemaking!
Sara and Tassos' were very helpful with recommendations of what to do everyday and where to eat. Protip: Go eat at Taverna tou Theodosi in nearby Deftera for a Cypriot feast.
Happy to have made this our homebase. Keep in touch and hope to see you guys again maybe in Vietnam, Italy or Cyprus. Epharisto!
/Ngoc and David It was all good!
- Solange (10/5): If you want a unique and welcoming place to stay, this is it. - The breakfast was delicious, fresh and healthy. It was even different every day. The place is a passion project and run with a love that really comes across. It was our favourite accomodation (of 5) on the whole trip and also the area around there was the one we enjoyed exploring the most and found the most friendly. My husband and I both both slept extremely well, which is not always easy for my husband being 6ft6. We were in the large family room for reference for future tall guests. I really don't think it could have been better!
- Asaf (10/5): A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Cyprus - If you're looking to escape the noise of the city and truly experience the soul of Cyprus, this small village hospitality is an absolute treasure. Just 45 minutes from Larnaka/nicosia. It offers an authentic glimpse into traditional Cypriot life.
The charm of this place lies in its simplicity — old stone houses with wooden shutters, narrow winding streets, and a peaceful atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.
The food here was amazing. Everything is homemade and home grown with rich flavors that come from generations of tradition directly from the heart of tasos's mom.
From fresh halloumi and olives to local wine, every meal was a celebration of the island's heritage.
Sera and Tasoa are incredibly welcoming — warm, proud of their culture, and eager to share their stories. It’s not just a visit, it’s a genuine connection.
If you want an authentic Cypriot experience — not the tourist version — this little stay is the real deal. Peaceful, delicious, and full of heart.
- Steffi (10/5): relaxing time in a beautiful place. - My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Sara's and Thassos' place. The breakfast was superb, very fresh and from local products. I highly recommend their place.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Sara and Tasso are such amazing owners! Super friendly and always there for a nice chat. They really can give you great tips and advices for trips around the area.
The breakfast is so so good. We’ve been coming around a bit but this is by far the best breakfast we had so far! Everything is handmade and organic! Amazing!
Thanks a lot Sara and Tasso! /
- Igor (10/5): Must visit - If friendliness could be rated at max 10 level, hosts would receive 100.
House itself provides not just a top level of comfort, but also cultural and historical experience. That experience enriched my trip and understanding the culture of island in the same way as visiting top archeological sites or museums. I would regret if I haven't visited the place. nothing, that is a perfect place
- Jasmin (10/5): Perfect holidays with delicious food in beautiful surroundings - We really enjoyed staying with Sara and Tassos. They made us feel very welcome and gave us loads of information about the surrounding area. The breakfast and dinner was high quality, home cooked and delicious and Sara and Tassos are very considered of any special diets. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Our holidays in Pera could not have been better. Thank you so much! We hope to come back one day.
- Ewa... (10/5): Exceptional - We were lucky to choose is as unique place as Aperanti Agrotourism for few nights during our stay in Cyprus in November. We have regretted we hadn't stay longer. Sara is a wonderful person with a huge knowledge about Cyprus.
The place is beautiful and authentic.
I really recommend accommodation, cheese making classes, and visiting the neighborhood - the map we've received was a piece of art!
- Sophia (9/5): Overall a really nice stay. - The room was very clean and pretty and the hosts were lovely. The breakfast included products they produced and was different each day. We were also offered the option to get homemade dinner on one night which was great. Nothing to say.
- Nitsa (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful - The breakfast was very nice, we had two breakfasts and both were different. Most of the ingredients were of their own produce, and were fresh, and the breakfast was original and not the standard breakfasts you have at hotels. We also had dinner there, after requesting, and it was very thoughtful, if I may so. It was a Cypriot dish but with a twist which gave it a fresh and flavourful taste.
The apartments are being run by a couple, and they are very helpful and hospitable. As soon as we arrived, the owner gave us a map basically not only showing us the village but also the surrounding areas and places we could go and visit. For us this was very helpful, as we went there a bit unprepared. I like the fact that you could help yourself to the plates or glasses and utensils from the dining room if you wanted to have food from elsewhere there. It gave you a sense of comfortableness that you rarely have, and to be honest, options. We also took our dog with us, and both the owners were very welcoming and understanding of that. All in all it was a very pleasant 3day weekend and an excellent choice of stay.
- Nicolas-1948 (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming environment. Delicious local food. Pet friendly . Staying at Aperanti was a very pleasant experience.
- Julian (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Hotel Aperanti is the perfect place for a friendly, relaxed small village experience in Cyprus. - Hard to know where to start. The location was perfect, near everywhere I wanted to be, and very quiet. The breakfasts were terrific and consisted of local ingredients, and by local, I mean gathered within easy walking distance. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a private bathroom. There was access to a refrigerator in the common area. Sara and Tassos are the perfect hosts and their place is beautiful.
- Marsh (10/5): Beautiful property in quiet traditional village. - Excellent breakfast locally grown and produced fruits and jams and the location was excellent for where we needed to be. Nothing not to like
- Timothy (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Traditional Cypriot accommodation. Local, homemade produce. Not applicable. Nothing to fault
- Jp (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent stay, as always. Sara and Tassos are amazing hosts, their house is beautiful and situated in a beautiful and not very well known part of Cyprus. Their knowledge of the region, their talent in making all kinds of stuff with local products, is truly awesome.
- Madalina (9/5): Great! - We stayed here twice, very nice both times. It was quiet when we stayed so we could take full advantage of the interior yard. No AC but we managed to sleep fine with the fans. We haven't really visited the village. It's a place where you need a car (like most places in Cyprus). Our hosts were very nice and I really enjoyed chatting with Sara over breakfast. The breakfast was also delicious. The bamboo ceiling takes some adjusting to if you are a nervous person. My teenage kids didn't mind the noise at all.
- Madalina (10/5): Just great. - Everything was great. We were visiting family nearby and the location was perfect for us. The inner yard is very nice, and the hosts were very friendly but not overwhelming . The breakfast was very tasty and enough for us. There is no AC, just fans, but we were comfortable even at the end of June. There is a small tavern very close by (5 min walk) for a quick simple supper. We will be going back.
- Alain (10/5): Memorable experience reconnecting with nature - Great place to disconnect from our busy lives and reconnect with nature. Very friendly and welcoming team, you feel at home among friends. The place is amazing, very well maintained.
- Herman (10/5): perfect place to stay for an active holiday. - was one of the best Agrotourisms we ever stayed. Superfriendly owners, serving great varying breakfast and also meals in the evening (not all days). Big room with confortable bed and private terras. Sara was always there to go us very good advise what was worth doing. We stayed for 5 nights and highy recommend this place. can not remember me of anything.
- Or (10/5): Hidden gem - Sarah's hospitality was amazing. The place has an incredible authentic atmosphere! Nothing; amazing place.
- Lydia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful countryside hotel with just a few rooms, perfect for our extended family. An old farmhouse which has been converted into four bedrooms, it is full of charm and history, as is the village. Our hosts cooked us breakfast each morning and were outstandingly kind. We also loved the village tavern our hosts booked for us where we had our first dinner. In the evening, we bought bottles of delicious wine that had been left in the kitchen of the hotel and happily sat in the courtyard. Showers upstairs could do with some updating as do handrails on stairs
- Sarah (10/5): Oasis near Nicosia - A little oasis in a lovely village. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Especiallynice with one party having all of the rooms. Can't fault it.
- Tomasz (10/5): authentic place with passionate owners ! We loved it!!! - an authentic place with passionate owners - strongly recommend!
if you love nature, organic food and people with passion...go there! want to go back there already :)
- Amy (10/5): Beautiful rooms and communal areas. Outstanding breakfast. Exceptional levels of service. Authentic and informative exp - Authentic Cypriot experiences. Beautifully decorated rooms and communal spaces. The village has good facilities with lots of friendly locals. Nothing.
- Ludmila (9/5): Superb - Excellent place. The hotel owner is super nice guy with a lot of ideas for trips, wellness and restaurants nearby. He makes great breakfast from the ingredients harvested on his farm. It's everyday a bit different but always great.
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judit (10/5): Exceptional - Tassos is a great host, made us a delicious breakfast and also gave us great ideas what to visit.
- Richard (9/5): Wonderful. Very relaxing. Made to feel very welcome. - The welcome, the food, location, the architecture. Maybe have a fridge and tea making facilities in the room.
- Marcin (9/5): Superb -
- Filip (10/5): Exceptional - If You want to explore true Cyprus thats the place! Authentic village, authentic house, authentic (and delicious) food and most of all... authentic hosts which are doing their job with true passion and love. That was it ! Thank You!
- Josef (10/5): Would highly recommend for independent travellers. - Owners were very helpful, suppers were excellent, property was very well located for exploring Troödos area. Nothing, excellent all around.
- Tadeusz (9/5): Small but nice - The small family hotel 20km from Nicosia is more for people who prefer a holiday stay far away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. The room we got was "royal style" - there is only one of this type in the property! The owners of the hotel, a married couple, were very accommodating - especially when it came to information about the attractions in the area. Above all, the conversation at breakfast was worth its weight in gold! Thank you for that! Breakfast was organized family style - with local delicacies. For us it was sometimes a little small, but refilling wasn't a problem (toast). The room could be cleaned more often - especially when it comes to garbage! It was quiet in the evening because there were few guests. Since the romantic courtyard with the tables invites you to spend the evening and the rooms are directly adjacent to it, it could be annoying at times - but everything was fine for us.
- Fraser (9/5): Wonderful, quiet place with gracious hosts. - This is such a wonderfully quiet, rustic and beautiful house to stay at, with such accommodation, helpful and kind hosts. It represents exceptionally good value as well. The room was unique; I have never had a padlock and a hundred-year-old bolt on two doors, and I loved it :) Sara and Tassis are very keen to give you lots of extensive advice about what to see and do in the local area and give you excellent hand-drawn maps. The breakfast is lovely - all homemade food with exceptionally local/handmade ingredients, and it was different each day. It was just quite small and each day I had to find somewhere else to have a second breakfast after I went out to explore! (That's not a criticism; it'll be fine for some people.) It's worth knowing that if you arrive on a Sunday there isn't really anywhere local to eat and even on midweek evenings you'll have to drive 10/15 minutes to find somewhere. Sara does cook dinner on a couple of nights each week, though, for 20 euros so ask about that.
- Anastasiia (10/5): Genuine and authentic Cypriot vibe - When people believe in their idea and work hard for it, they get exceptional results. This hotel is all about it! Wonderful experience, unique and authentic, great people and great food! Highly recommend if you are looking to discover this island and its culture. Nothing that could think of
- Georgia (9/5): A lovely stay - The restored property is well-kept and decorated beautifully. Our room was spotlessly clean and the host friendly and welcoming. Would visit again for sure. Thanks for a lovely stay. As an afterthought there was just one little thing that bothered me, and that was the breakfast time which started at 8.30 (kind of late when you have a little one). The host did offer us a lemonade or juice, but perhaps some toast for the road would be more fitting and we regretted not asking. The more than friendly attitude and politeness made up for it though.
- Gabriella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zinta (10/5): Excellent in Every Way - The best accommodation one can imagine in the middle of a small village, surrounded with narrow streets and ancient buildings.
When you enter a whole new world opens to you - it just like stepping into another century - yet nicely and newly decorated and having facilities of today. Like ventilators, for example. First I was doubtful - how would the survival be without the air conditioning. But surprisingly - the shady inner yard, the old stone walls and the floor are enough to keep the temperature down to an acceptable level. ( It was +38 in the end of September),
We really loved everything there. Most of all the kind and helpful hosts Sara and Tassos who were of great help explaining details about the neighbourhood, showing the roads to places that we were interested in.
They live right next to the guest house so if it is necessary to meet them, it is done in 5 minutes time, besides questions can be asked uising whatsapp and the answers are there almost immediately.
Breakfasts (included in the price) are served in the inner yard and almost all the food is home made - cheese, jams, bread.
It is a pity that we only had 1 dinner made by our hosts. It is served for extra cost but it sure is much much tastier than anything we had anywhere else during our week in Cyprus.
Another nice thing - we were allowed a very early check in.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thanks a lot, Sara and Tassos!
- Методиева (10/5): Exceptional - The place is amazing and the owner was great too!
- Janet (10/5): Perfect stop over - wished we could have stayed longer - Beautiful b &b that made the most of local produce for our delicious breakfast. Kind and helpful hosts who went out of their way to be flexible One of the prettiest little villages Everything was just right
- Vasileios (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toma (10/5): Amazing authentic experience - must to visit!!! - If you would like to get to know Cyprus - you must to visit this place. We were traveling around the Cyprus island and this stay was the cherry on the top. Everything is nice as it is showed in picture and more. For breakfast we had home made cheeses, jams, pies, scrambled eggs and everything was delicious and made with love. If anytime we'll come back to Cyprus, we'll definitely choose this place to stay. Lovely owners who clearly care about the experience of their guests and have great recommendations for local hiking routes and activities. The host can make a dinner for you, but you have to order it one or two days before. Thank you Sara for the wonderful experience!! Nothing.
- John (10/5): Great location and gourmet meals - Well placed, being in a village but close to Nicosia and also to Lanarca airport. Atmospheric old house converted into a B&B. Very friendly hosts (speaking English). Comfortable and good sized room. Gourmet meals - available in the evening by arrangement with the host. Parking 30 meters away (with a drop-off area for suitcases). It was rather hot in the room - but we knew that there was no A/C.
- Federico (9/5): Superb - Sara as host was extremely helpful in giving us directions and ideas to explore the surroundings. Very cozy room and Agrotourism to explore both Nicosia and some very typical villages such as Phicardou, Lazania heading south and Platanistasa in the west with amazing Monasteries.
- Irina (9/5): nice getaway from the city in authentic valley village - the hosts were kind enough to prepare birthday dinner meeting our food allergies which was delish!
the room is very nice, old village vibe, nicely decorated. The hosts also very nice, explained the places of interest around and overall warm and welcoming stay the bathroom was added to the room later, therefore very close quarters in the bathroom, not very convenient with children, and you risk waking them up when getting up at night to use the toilet. The roof was squeaky that can be a problem for light sleepers. the breakfast was not substantial but pretty delicious judging by the fact that my kids ate mine =), but there is a nice cafe serving brunch just around the corner.
- Maria (9/5): Superb - Hospitality of Sara and Tasos was better than we expected. Beautiful house. Great food
- Baiba (9/5): It was wonderful. Lady was very nice and polite, and told us interesting facts about building. - Very unique experience die to authenticity. As bathroom is built in the room, you can hear everything happening in there :). But all in all that is tiny thing to mention.
- Ioanna (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best and most unique properties we've ever stayed at. Breakfast was delicious, rooms were clean and spacious.
- Emmanouil (9/5): Superb -
- Chrystalla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaspars (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - Hospitality of the owners, delicious breakfast, facilities Wifi was a bit weak and only worked when you were sitting outside but not in the room.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Dog friendly & animal friendly B&B. Village was quiet, relaxing, with very enjoyable walks. Quaint clean accommodation. Food was fantastic. Cypriot & Italian hospitality at its best! Would definitely return again.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Sara & Tassos were fantastic hosts. clean rooms. Breakfast & dinner was freshly cooked & very tasty. Lovely stay, thank you!
- Veronika (10/5): Amazing authentic experience worth the travel - We loved our stay in Aperanti! The location was perfect for the night between traveling from Nicosia to Aiya Napa and the village itself is worth visiting as you can experience more local and authentic vibe that the resorts on coast. The room was very nice, quiet, spacious and convenient. Our host Sara was amazing, she gave us many tips and prepared amazing breakfast based on local produce. There is basically nothing we wouldnt like. The location is a 30 minutes from Nicosia, which could feel like a lot, but it is definitely worth it. There are no cons.
- Saulius (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful property. Situated in a small village, having an authentic charm and amazing hosts. Everything is nice as it is showed in pictrures and more. For breakfast we had home made cheeses, jams, pies and everything was delicious and made with love. If anytime we'll come back to Cyprus, we'll definitely choose the same place to stay.
- Bjarke (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent hospitality and great suggestions by Sara and Tassos. We felt very welcomed and the whole experience was very personal and pleasant.
The place is incredibly authentic to the traditional Cypriotic lifestyle. Everything is locally sourced and feels/tastes excellent Heating in the rooms wasn't great - we had to borrow an electric heater for our room.
- Sophie (10/5): Highly recommend and would definitely go back! - Everything about my stay here was exceptional! The food was fantastic, I had a lovely, quiet room, and Sara and her husband were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful little retreat here and everything about my stay was perfect.
- Tim (10/5): Very good reception from excellent hosts. Food was all healthy and delicious. -
- Pieria (10/5): Everything was amazing! - Tasos and Sara were very polite, friendly and helpful! They gave us a map to show things that we can do in the area and although we are locals we discovered new places that we haven't been before. The breakfast was made with their own products and love.
They did the best they could according to our needs. The house is amazing and a rare find in Cyprus! Is totally worth the value for money, totally recommend it!
