• Christine (8/5): Komfortabel und großzügig, aber etwas zu familiär - Das Zimmer war groß und gemütlich eingerichtet, die Lage ruhig und nah in die Stadt. Mir persönlich war es etwas zu familiär. Die Vermieter wohnten im selben Einfamilienhaus und benutzen das selbe Treppenhaus. Frühstück gab es mit anderen Gästen am Esstisch der Gastgeber, das kam anstrengend und nett sein, aber auch störend.
• Florence (10/5): Parfait pour un WE nature dépaysant! - Chalet super charmant et pittoresque dans le jardin du gite, donc proche du centre, de la gare (très facile de venir en train), tout en étant au milieu du jardin pour la nature, et à 10-15 minutes à pied de la forêt ou de la Meuse pour des super balades! Accueil super et flexible, petit dej délicieux, je recommande! Ce n'était pas un problème pour moi, mais à noter qu'il n'y a pas d'eau courante et donc pas de douche dans le chalet, seulement une toilette sèche, un bidon d'eau, et la salle de bain est à partager dans la maison.

• Jan (8/5): - Mooie accomodatie, goed verzorgd! De accomodatie was recent in vernieuwing, maar waarschijnlijk nog niet afgerond. De gordijnen waren nog niet aanwezig, en de lichtinval in de vroege ochtend onaangenaam groot.

Siamo scappati e abbiamo prenotato una stanza da un'altra parte perdendo i soldi! - Nulla All’arrivo ci è stato comunicato che il bagno non era in camera, ma in comune. Questa informazione non è indicata in modo chiaro nella descrizione principale, specie per una struttura indicata come "intero chalet" (come immaginare che uno "chalet" non sia dotato di bagno?): è scritto nei dettagli, ma non c'è scritto che, per raggiungerlo, è necessario uscire, attraversare il giardino, entrare nel corpo principale, passare attraverso una rimessa tenuta in condizioni poco decorose, con presenza di oggetti di ogni tipo e rifiuti, salire al 1° piano e che ci si debba togliere le scarpe entrando in bagno. In quello che l’host chiama “chalet” è presente un cd “water a secco”: per utilizzarlo è necessario coprire i bisogni con segatura posta accanto al WC stesso. Il WC non è separato da una porta rispetto all’area letto (immaginatevi gli effluvi nella stanza). È presente anche un lavandino privo di rubinetto, con una semplice tanica d’acqua. Si tratta di caratteristiche molto particolari, che avrebbero dovuto essere indicate in modo chiaro, evidente e trasparente fin dall’annuncio. Preciso inoltre che lo “chalet” è composto da una sola stanza ed è di fatto una struttura assimilabile a un container rivestito in compensato (di quelli da cantiere), ben diversa da quanto ci si aspetterebbe dalla descrizione. Mi chiedo anche se sia una struttura autorizzata visto che non è dotata di acqua corrente ne’ di scarico, ma non conosco la legislazione belga in merito. A fronte di queste condizioni, abbiamo deciso di non soggiornare, e abbiamo prenotato un hotel nelle vicinanze quindi pagando due volte la notte. Il proprietario ha rifiutato qualsiasi rimborso, sostenendo che l’informazione fosse presente nei dettagli e che aveva rifiutato altre richieste. Esperienza complessivamente molto deludente per mancanza di trasparenza e per condizioni non adeguate alle aspettative create dall’annuncio.

I conveniently parked outside the premises; free street parking is available.The wonderful hostess, whom I had the pleasure of meeting on the morning of my departure, was truly exceptional; Her kindness made it feel like we'd known each other for ages. We shared a delightful and engaging conversation, which was quite enjoyable. 😃. Huge thanks for keeping my shoes safe after I accidentally left them behind! My parents picked them up, and they said you were incredibly kind. 🙏

• Jasper (4/5): Dikke afrader. - Het chalet. De 'gastheer'. Hij was leugenachtig en manipulatief. We werden in een kamer gezet aan de drukke en vieze straat omdat het chalet in de tuin dubbel was geboekt terwijl wij deze hadden geboekt. Niks geen excuses. In het huis waren vele kamers verhuurd en ze woonden er zelf ook nog, erg gehorig. Tegen ons weten in werden wij gefilmd. De douche werd soms ijskoud, wij vermoeden door de eigenaar, omdat er naar zijn mening te lang gedoucht werd (binnen 10 min). Erg nare ervaring.

• Natalia (8/5): Cosy et confortable ! - Les deux chambres sont comme des lofts, lumineuses, cosy, décorées avec goût, avec tout ce qu'il faut et avec salle de bains indépendantes. Elles ont vue sur un très beau jardin auquel les locataires ont accès. Il y a de quoi faire un thé dans les chambres et nous avons pu utiliser le four de la cuisine des hôtes pour réchauffer nos plats. Deux parkings sont accessibles et juste à côté. Nous avons été bien accueillies !

• Bolen (10/5): La cabane au fond du jardin 🎼 - Un séjour simple, authentique et profondément humain 🌿 J’ai passé un excellent moment dans cette charmante cabane au fond du jardin — un petit coin de tranquillité qui invite à ralentir et à savourer l’instant, presque comme dans une chanson de Cabrel. Ce que j’ai particulièrement apprécié, c’est l’atmosphère sincère du lieu, sans artifice. Le petit déjeuner est un vrai moment de partage : les clients s’y retrouvent, échangent leurs expériences, discutent librement, sans jugement et sans contrainte. Une parenthèse conviviale et spontanée, comme on en voit rarement. Un grand merci aux hôtes pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur gentillesse et leur attention. On se sent vraiment les bienvenus, comme à la maison. Bref, une belle découverte que je recommande vivement à ceux qui recherchent une expérience simple, chaleureuse et authentique.

• Jaap Kwadijk (7/5): Lack of proper communication does not help - Basically the place is good for cyclists like me as the bike can be stored safely and dry. I stayed in the gardenhouse that has a good heating unit so you can dry your clothes and even in cold weather it is fine. The double bed is ok. a microwave and a waterboiler are in place. When there is a lot of sun, you can nicely sit in the garden. There was no breakfast, although it was included During my stay, there was no Wifi network The gardenhouse has no running water and is equipped with a so-called dry toilet that is not separated. You need to know how that works. there is a bathroom, a very good one plus toilet, in the main house, but it appeared that the host did not want it to be used during the night. This would be all not that bad if the host would take somewhat nore time to explain things, eg, simply come along when he would return from his job. I was not even aware that someone was in the main house. I would have appreciated it if there had been more info on the site. And certainly, if the host would take somewhat more attention to his guests

Nous avons passé un très agréable moment d'échange. Le seul petit bémol a été le petit temps de latence avant de recevoir une réponse à une question.

• Marc (9/5): Een nachtje bij een heerlijke B&B waar niets teveel was voor de host. - Het heel vriendelijke onthaal van de gastvrouw die direct vertelde dat we een upgrade van onze kamer kregen. Het was maar voor 1 nacht dus eigenlijk geen probleem voor ons , maar voor andere is het missen van een tv een issue.

Charming hosts who graciously helped us store our bikes and provided a delicious breakfast. There is no TV. .l.

Breakfast was really good with homemade marmelades and soft boilled egg and many other nice things. Good safe place for our bikes too. Highly recommendable👍 For some it can be intimidating having toilet and shower in the bedroom so we were advised where to sit if needed.

The blinds in the room are not very dark, so in spring the room is light very early in the morning. Also, if you are big on privacy this is not your place, as the shower and toilet are in the room and there is no door.

• Philip (9/5): Perfect for what I needed. Just a short walk from the central area for bars, restaurants etc - Exactly what a solo bike traveller needed. Safe bike storage, a good shower, comfy bed in a beautiful room. Super helpful owner. The windows could have done with better blinds / shutters.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming and prepared a tasty breakfast in the morning. • Helma (8/5): Lovely 1-night stay in Huy - The room (suite) and bathroom were both very spaceous. We had a lovely dinner at the O'Malley pub in town, and went for a beautiful walk in the woods near the Tibetan Buddhist Centre, both at Thierry's recommendation. We're used to a somewhat larger and firmer bed, so didn't sleep as well as we do at home. Also, although breakfast was lovely, some guests might prefer to have it in their room instead of in Thierry's living space.

• Gail (9/5): Cozy, elegant apartment with big garden - The apartment, room and garden were gorgeous and cozy. I loved the interior and it really felt like a nice getaway. The place is really not far from the centre and I liked the option of picking up fresh baked goods from the bakery, which were also delicious. Communication with the host was smooth. And as an added bonus we had the whole place to ourselves. There seemed to be a lot of rules and instructions to follow, which felt a bit stressful like cleaning up, locking up, closing curtains, not letting cats in etc.
