• Grigore (10/5): Nice property in this budget - Everything was perfect for us, the room and bathroom are quite large compared to most. Even though the accommodation is in a housing complex, everything is renovated and clean. Jane our host puts great emphasis on the comfort of the guests, we felt this from the beginning when she welcomed us to the accommodation, showed us what we could visit in the area and advised us with everything we needed. The accommodation does not serve a set breakfast but you always have a fridge with products from which you can prepare your own breakfast (coffee, milk, eggs, ham, butter, cheese, bread and juice) all of this is in a shared but very well equipped kitchen. we felt at home without missing anything. The property is very well located, a few minutes from Termini central station or the Colosseum, there is a tram ( line 3 or bus 51 ; 75 ; 85 ; 87) stop nearby and a bus stop (bus 714 or 75) right in front of the accommodation, on the street there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and a supermarket nearby

• viccosta (10/5): Atendimento e localização excelentes! - Primeiramente devo destacar que a dona do local, bem como o staff, são muito gentis e se preocupam com os mínimos detalhes para o conforto e comodidade dos hóspedes. A Jane, desde antes de nossa chegada, se preocupou em nos orientar em como chegar, como acessar o prédio, como chegar aos pontos turísticos, nos deu dicas de bons lugares para comer, etc. Além disso, tudo era muito limpo, confortável e bem cuidado. É um prédio antigo que, apesar da idade está bem conservado e bem cuidado te permitindo estar em algo que faz parte da história de Roma sem perder o conforto. A localização excelente, cerca de 10 min andando até o Coliseu e da estação Roma Termino. Está em uma rua onde é muito fácil de encontrar mercados e restaurantes também. Foi tudo perfeito! Não temos do que reclamar. Estava tudo ótimo!

• Yesica (6/5): Bien pero no lo recomiendo - Me gustó la ubicación en una zona tranquila de Roma, cerca del Coliseo y de Roma Termini. También cabe destacar la limpieza. No me gustó la poca privacidad del alojamiento, ya que es un piso de 3 habitaciones donde hay una zona común, la cocina. No me gustó el ruido que hacía el termo que teníamos en la habitacion, demasiado ruidoso para dormir. Y mucho menos me gustó la exigencia de la autoritaria Jane, hay que leer bien la letra pequeña de la información adicional de este alojamiento. Si llegas después de las 19:00 es late check in y hay que pagar 40€ (lo cual me parece un abuso , no lo he visto en ningún otro sitio). Además de unos impuestos de casi 50€ que también hay que pagarle en efectivo junto al late check in! OJO. Que si el alojamiento cuesta X hay que sumarle 100€ más. Algo que si lo llego a saber antes, no reservo. Y para terminar se dedica a entrar en las habitaciones, desenchufar lo que tengas enchufado y a hablarte por wasap para preguntarte a qué hora te vas a ir en el check out porque necesita limpiar la habitación. Le dije que podría irme a las 11 ya que mi vuelo era por la tarde y me mandó una captura donde pone que su alojamiento se abandona a las 10 o 10:30. Así que eso hicimos. En fin, no lo recomiendo para nada.

And the room was great! - It was a perfect location - far enough to not be noisy at night, but close enough that you could walk easily. Also very close to amazing places to eat! Jill was probably my favorite host of all the trip in Italy. Incredibly kind and helpful. If I had to pick something - The water heater made noises on and off all night. It woke me up once. Not terribly loud, it would only wake you up if you’re a light sleeper. But it was awesome that we never ran out of hot water!

In front of the building there is bus stop going to termini only 4 stops. There is supermarket Conad and bar and lots of restaurants closer to hotel. The Best Carbonara Trattoria Da Danilo is only at the back of the hotel. Jane is lovely person and helpful. I will recommend Mama Roma domus . I will come back again! Everything is okay

Extremadamente servicial, excelente comunicación, nos ayudó muchisimo desde el momento que llegamos haciendonos sentir en casa. Muy atenta y servicial. La ubicación de este lugar esta excelente. Es una calle muy linda con cafeterias y restaurantes, muchos arboles, y caminando en ese mismo sentido se llega a Santa Maria Maggiore que me encantó, y tambien se llega caminando al Coliseo. La ubicación 10 de 10. La habitación super comoda, una cama comoda, baño propio, con una ventana grande que ofrece ventilación natural. La verdad es que recomiendo muchisimo este lugar. Todo me gustó.

In più, ci hanno permesso di fare il check-in con due ore di anticipo, cosa molto apprezzata! Siamo rimasti due notti e non abbiamo apprezzato il fatto che, quando ci hanno portato la prima colazione, ci abbiano chiesto subito a che ora saremmo partiti il ​​giorno dopo. A peggiorare la situazione, la sera stessa ci hanno scritto di nuovo su WhatsApp chiedendoci a che ora saremmo partiti. La stessa cosa è successa la mattina quando hanno sparecchiato, sottolineando di essere molto impegnati perché avevano tre arrivi. Capisco, ma era inutile considerando che mancavano solo due ore per il nostro check-out. Questa insistenza e questa fretta di farci partire ci hanno lasciato un po' a disagio. Inoltre, iniziano a pulire la mattina presto e si sente tutto dall'appartamento, soprattutto l'aspirapolvere, il che può essere piuttosto fastidioso.

• Sandra (4/5): Disappointing - Walking distance to Colosseum and Termini Station. A group checking in after midnight with a person attempting to come into our room at 12:45am! Someone was preparing the room from 9pm with noise and phone ringing constantly. Walls paper thin to kitchen area that meant we could hear person preparing breakfast from 7am onwards and more early morning check ins. Cold shower two days in a row, appears not enough water for amount of guests.

• Glenda (5/5): Some positives, but some key negatives also… - We needed a place to stay overnight only so it was okay for a night. It was in a great location and was clean and neat. The breakfast was pretty good. The walks were paper thin. We had limited sleep due to noises including loud phone ringtones that kept waking us, voices, footsteps (sounded like they were in our room!!) and more. We’re usually very tolerant of outside noises, but this was next level. Unfortunately there was no hot water for a shower in the morning.
• Jędrzej (10/5): - Świetny kontakt z właścicielką od samego początku - Jeane pomogła zaplanować podróż z lotniska do obiektu, zostaliśmy bardzo miło przyjęci i dostaliśmy mapkę Rzymu z wytłumaczeniem gdzie warto się udać i jak poruszać się najlepiej po mieście. Mieszkanie duże, czyste z podziałem na 3 pokoje. Nasz pokój był bardzo komfortowy, przestronny, codziennie sprzątany. Okna od dziedzińca zapewniały ciszę w nocy mimo świetnej lokalizacji kilka minut na pieszo od Koloseum. Przepyszne śniadania podawane do łóżka. Bardzo polecamy i na pewno skorzystamy jeszcze raz przy kolejnej wizycie w Rzymie!

A super nice, cozy, and clean B&B with an excellent location (less than a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum and 20 minutes from Roma Termini, with tram, subway, and bus stops nearby). One of the highlights is definitely Jane, she is the most adorable host ever, even before we arrived, she was already super friendly on WhatsApp and super available to help us with everything. At the property, she made us feel at home. All the staff were amazing, and breakfast in the room made us feel very special. All of this made my second trip to Rome even more special. I highly recommend it and will definitely return if I have the chance.

• Lea (10/5): A warm and welcoming place with personal service, great breakfast and a wonderful host – we felt completely at ease. - We stayed for three nights as a group of three friends and can highly recommend this charming accommodation. It’s a shared apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and three rented rooms. The rooms are simple but clean and nicely furnished – we had one double bed and one single bed. Jane personally welcomed us upon arrival and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. She gave us great tips for sightseeing, restaurants, and getting around. Each morning she asked for our breakfast preferences and delivered it to our room between 8 and 10 am – even allowing us to enjoy it in bed if we wished. She was always kind, helpful, and reachable at any time via WhatsApp. We did have a minor issue with the air conditioning – it was leaking, and Jane had placed a small bowl underneath. Unfortunately, it overflowed after about an hour and the room got a bit wet. Jane responded immediately to our message and reassured us not to worry. The water was cleaned up the next morning during the regular room service. Not ideal, but at least we were able to continue using the AC. On our departure day, Jane really went above and beyond: she let us store our luggage in her car while we visited the Vatican. Later, she picked us up from there at the exact agreed time and drove us straight to the airport for a very reasonable price. We were genuinely impressed and thankful for this extra service. All in all, a warm, uncomplicated place to stay with a host who truly cares. Thank you so much, Jane! The air conditioner in our room was leaking and caused some water on the floor – but Jane took care of it the next morning.

• Sarah (10/5): An amazing base in Rome with a lovely couple who really looked after us - Myself and my mum visited as a trip that was supposed to have happened the year Covid hit, we had no idea where to book and stumbled across Mama Roma Domus by chance, so glad we did, what a great location! 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum and Santa Maria Maggiore; a great base. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy which was totally surprised by as i never expect much when travelling. Jane and her husband were so welcoming and kind; arranging pick up and drop off at the airport as well as telling us where to visit and recommending places to eat, as well as keeping us updated with local goings on, train delays, weather, traffic; just really lovely, helpful people. Breakfast is served in the room and is a great way to start the day. Jane made our stay so easy, like a home from home. A lovely lady. Hard to find any real negatives that relate to Mama Roma Domus/Jane. The only thing I didn’t like was the lift and Jane has no control over that!! And that was only because I’m a wimp; it’s a little old and you’re able to see out of it as it moves - easy solution for me though was to take the stairs!

• Caroline (10/5): An exceptional stay - The hotel is well located 10 min walk from the Coliseum and 15 min walk from Termini train station. The area is quiet, especially as the rooms overlook an inner courtyard. The Manzoni metro station is a 5-minute walk away and there is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Ar hosts, Jane and her husband are exceptionally kind. They picked us up at Termini station so that we didn't have to carry our suitcases. Jane gave us a map of the city and explained everything there was to see, how to get there and even recommended some excellent restaurants! The room is beautiful, clean and functional, the bed is very comfortable, I slept like at home. There's a communal area with a small kitchen where you can serve yourself water and tea and heat up dishes. Breakfast was served in the room and included eggs, bread, cold meats, cheese, pastries, coffee and juice (....), all of exceptional quality. Jane really looks after her guests and treats them like members of her own family. We spent hours talking about everything and she even gave us a snack when we left. A welcome like this warms the heart. We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. At the weekend, Elisabeth prepares breakfast for us and she's really lovely. She even made us a packed breakfast for an early morning departure. She also takes great care of her guests. This made our experience of Rome even better. It was with sadness that we left, but as we love the city of Rome, we will return to stay with Jane. • Dagmar (9/5): Nice location for a short stay in Rome - Jane was very nice and assisted a lot - even with pick up from airport etc. Good location - city can be easily reached by walking (or bus or metro). Room was small but ok for a few nights. It is a little bit noisy, as breakfast was prepared in front of our room - but was no issue as we were up early . Very little space in the room for having breakfast.

Thanks to her our stay was unique, full of joy and happiness :) she is very helpful and takes care about guests in the best way. She explained what to see and where to eat. Jane prepares breakfast and brings to your room, mix sweet and salty which is perfect ! Very good location, close to the metro station, bus stop downstairs and you can easily reach popular attractions. She provided us with valuable information during our stay in Rome. As described, there is an option to use a kettle, tea, microwave and fridge. Breakfast every day, always something savory and something sweet. Photos of the room consistent with reality. Safety in the facility is ensured. The premises are located in a tenement house. Despite the short, 4-day stay, the room was cleaned. It's clean, the beds are large and comfortable. Smoking is not allowed in the premises, which was fine by us. 15 minutes' walk to the railway station, approx. 5-7 minutes to the metro. Nearby there is a mini market and restaurants. I heartily recommend it!

• Man (10/5): Excellent services of Mama Roma Domus - Jane is super nice and considerate. She is very responsive and attentive. She replied message very efficient and sent us very detailed instructions from Roma Termini to the guest house. Her room is tidy and provided all things we need. Everyday she prepared us a super delicious breakfast with varieties of food. Also our room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. We surely will visit her guest house again if we come back to Rome. Once again full marks should be given to Jane. nothing, everything is perfect.

• Carole (10/5): Perfect stay, perfect hosts, would definitely stay again.... - Amazing location and hosts. Picked us up from the airport. Everything was explained clearly and Jane was very helpful with showing us how to get to places. The building was a very traditional building and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation was very close to the Colosseum, tube, restaurants and bus stops. The breakfast in our room was amazing!! I couldn't wait to see what we got the next day... Nothing, I would recommend airport transfer through the hosts as I can't imagine we would have found the property without this...
• Ruxandra (9/5): Superb - The breakfast was great and different every morning, the location is very close to the Coloseum which is very good because you can just go there at night time and have a drink and yet you are close to your accommodation. The host was very friendly and offered to drive us from the train station to the location. (The bathroom was very decent in comparison to what you usually get in Italy). As I mentioned, the host was great, however, there were a bit too many messages received from her on whatsapp about the time of arrival and the transportation etc. As I was on vacation, I felt a bit stressed about all the messages since we also paid an extra fee for late arrival.
• Harragan (10/5): A wonderful place to stay and a lovely host. - This is a wonderful place to stay. Jane is so kind and generous and did all she could to make our stay comfortable. She and her husband met us from the station and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The accommodation was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, and Jane was always available for tips on where to go and what to do. The location is great, just a short walk to the Colosseum and a little further to other landmarks and attractions. We would definitely stay again if we return to Rome.

• Sherry (8/5): Very good - Besides the location, the best part about this stay was the staff. I'm sending a special shout-out to Grace and Ernesto, and of course Jane, the proprietor. I had a terrible cold and had to spend a lot of time in bed as a result. Everyone was so kind and took good care of me. The staff go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable and happy.

• Voicu (10/5): A great stay at Mama Roma Domus - We reqlly enjoyed our stay at Mama Roma Domus.Jane, our host, is amazing and very welcoming.We arrived late due to a delay on our connecting flight and she waited for us, was in permanent contact on Whatsapp. Property is close to Termini station and Colloseum and walk distance to most of the touristic places in a very quaint area.We had a great breakfast included every morning and also cleaning service daily.We loved it and if back in Rome we will have this property on our list for accomodation.Thank you Jane for looking after us!
• Begum (5/5): It wasn't what I expected - Room was spotless clean, location was alright, 15 minutes walking distance to Collosseum and Imperial Road. It’s a typical Italian building with a yard and a tiny, traditional elevator. Breakfast was ok. 2 days before arrival, the owner asked me to bring all payment in cash. This was a very last minute request and she also did not want me to pay on booking.com. The water heater for all the rooms was in our bathroom, it was noisy. Also hot water was not stable at all, one second it was hot and the next it was freezing cold. I was informed last day that it was because of bidet was on, however we were not informed about this while we were doing check-in. We were there on last week of april and we got cold at night. When I asked the owner, she said “we don’t have heater anymore. The admin off the heater last March 17”. We were not offered extra blankets or a portable heater etc.
• Kristin (8/5): Lovely B&B in the heart of Rom - Great location with a great heart warming host. Appartment is close to the Colesseum and City Center. Individual breakfast in the room.
• Mischa (9/5): Superb - Jane was really welcoming and helpful - thanks Jane! The room itself - very quiet (despite location on a main road) and good dark curtains! The bed was also really comfy. I picked the location because I knew I'd be walking from and back to Termini, and also visiting the Domus Aurea and it's an excellent location for both those things, it's a good half hour walk to anywhere else in Rome but there is the metro if needed. Also very reasonable price wise compared to similarly located properties, with breakfast included. Property was perfect for what I needed!
• Di (8/5): Clean, friendly and helpful - Excellent location, close to Metro and Colosseum. Nice and clean with friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Would recommend. We were expecting a hotel rather than rooms in an apartment. However, rooms were cleaned and tidied each day. Breakfast is brought to the room as there is no dining room.
• Tatsuma (10/5): Awesome. - Owners are so nice! They gave us all the instructions thoroughly regarding the accommodation, places to go, transportation, and so on. My friend and I were able to spend time very comfortably during our stay. The room was neat and clean, including a bath room, shower, bed, and floor. Breakfast came with bread, egg, fresh vegetables, and delicious cheese. Also, the main station in Rome is quite close. None.

The attention to detail ensuring we found the location plus knowledge of how to move around Rome was exemplary. Her last minute availability for an airport transfer was greatly appreciated and the price was good . Homemade breakfast, tasty and plentiful but Jane’s personality certainly stole the show!!

Jane is a lovely host, helped us with everything we needed. The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was very nice also. Would recommend to others, for a lovely stay at room.

The room was clean and spacious. Place was walking distance to Colosseum, metro, lots of bus stops just by the entrance. Definitely recommended. Nothing related to the place and the host.
• Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Loved how close it is to the metro. Makes getting to Vatican City, etc, quite easy. About a 10-15 minute walk to colloseo. We ended up walking alot more than taking the metro because the nearby neighborhoods were so fun to explore. Jane and Precious were such lovely hosts. They made a great breakfast with egg :) and made sure we had a breakfast prepared for our early departure. Jane was quick to respond to messages and give recommendations. Room and private bathroom were great. Building was in safe neighborhood.

• Lee (6/5): This hotel was fine for a whirlwind trip to Rome. - The owners are friendly, and the hotel is located centrally. We are able to leave our luggage the next day while we toured. Everything was ok, just very basic.
• Sanne (8/5): Dejligt ophold i Rom - The breakfast was really nice. A good mix, so we got a good foundation for walking around Rome. The location was really good. Close to the Metro, Termini and with the Colosseum just around the corner. Really nice hostess - Jane :-) She recommended us several really good things we could experience. Cleaning was also really nice. We could even request a time for breakfast and it came every day right on time :-) Jane was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. We were 3 women in the same room. It could be done, but it was very tight. One had to lie right in front of the air conditioning. Not nice to sleep with the wind blowing on your head, and if we turned it off it was too hot. Would definitely recommend that there are only two adults in the room - then it's PERFECT!

• Alae (6/5): Pleasant - Must mention the very good communication with Jane, she was very nice and caring. The location is good, metro station is 7min walk, but if you are coming by night, the streets are empty. When we have booked, the available option was the quadruple room even if we were 2, so the price was high comparing to others; but once arrived there, it was a room for 2 so it was not spacious as I imagined comparing to the price. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, and the host asked us to turn it off once going out; so the room was really hot coming back by night. The equipments are very basic, same for the decoration and the breakfast. Honestly, i Was not very happy for the value for money; my expectations were higher.
