With only 2 King rooms, you get a personal experience in a beautiful 1900’s building with balconies, modern bathrooms, spa, delightful garden, spacious rooms with large walk-in wardrobe, all with a touch of the old world. Breakfast was delicious and the special little extras like room air freshner, and treats in the fridge were very thoughtful and much appreciated. We highly recommend Avon Terrace Guest house for short or long breaks, but the longer the better 🙂 We loved everything.
Ye (10/5): Wonderful Stay - We had such a wonderful stay here! Paula and Steph are really kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room was very comfortable, and exceptionally clean—everything was spotless. The overall design of the house is beautiful, with thoughtful details. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. Everything was freshly made, and absolutely delicious. The juice and coffee and fresh fruit and yogurt were both excellent. Overall, we highly recommend staying here. It was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely love to come back again! Nothing.

Christine (10/5): Wunderbare Unterkunft & Eigentümer - Ich habe mich gefühlt wie Prinzessin Diana. Das Zimmer war wunderschön, sehr gut ausgestattet, super sauber und gepflegt, viel geräumiger als ich angenommen hatte und bot viel Platz auch zur Ablage unserer Koffer. Auf dem Balkon gibt es einen Whirlpool, den ich zugegebenermaßen nicht genutzt hätte, wenn das Nachbar Zimmer belegt gewesen wäre, aber da wir alleine waren, haben wir das sehr genossen. Die Dusche war groß und heiß mit super Wasserdruck und das Bett sehr bequem. Ruhige Lage und sehr freundliche Inhaber. Nach dem köstlichen üppigen Frühstück haben wir uns noch sehr nett mit Stephen unterhalten. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind daher nur eine Nacht geblieben, aber als ich die Unterkunft gesehen und die Gastgeber kennengelernt habe, wäre ich gerne noch eine Nacht dort geblieben. Es war wundervoll. Vielen Dank und alles Gute! ☺️

Jacuzzi option too . Central location, and secure parking. Delightful friendly hosts -prompt communication from Paula and Stephan, freshly cooked breakfast at a time to suit and local tips for places to visit . Paula and Stephen were absolutely wonderful. They gave us lots of tips on how to get the most out of our time in York. We had delicious breakfasts each morning (Stephen is a chef). Graham (10/5): We'll be back! - The guest house was simply excellent. The room was faultless. The hospitality was excellent. The location was right in the heart of York. We simply walked next door for dinner. Our vehicle was safely kept on the premises. And York was a good distance away from Perth to escape the frenetic pace. Are struggling to think of anything - perhaps it took a while for the hot water to come through when having a shower

Gray (10/5): A great 2 night stay in a very central spot! - The accommodation was first rate. The bed was comfortable and even though we took our own pillows the pillows provided were more than enough to satisfy us. The room was a lovely size and the spa bath outside was a lovely extra although we didn't use it. Stephan made a really good job of the breakfasts which were delicious I would highly recommend Avon Terrace Guest House and would stay there again if the opportunity arose. Thank you Paula & Stephan for your warm hospitality. A small couch might have been another nice extra.

The hosts Paula and Stephen made us feel like we were at home and they were genuinely beautiful people! Our room was just perfect big king size bed , smart TV, spacious, beautiful bathroom and most importantly it was beautifully clean ! Location was fantastic right in the town centre, we also had a wonderful outdoor verandah with a steaming hot spa bath. Extra bonus was the undercover parking for my new vehicle which I very much appreciated. Cooked breakfast every morning was delicious! We quickly found that the photos online don't do justice to how lovely the place is! We also loved the toiletries in the bathroom, the comfy beds, the location and the breakfast in the morning. Even my vegetarian husband and a friend staying nearby were catered for!

Breakfast was really delicious, magnificently prepared and presented. We liked that the table was set to share with the fellow guests and that Paula and Stephan also joined us for a chat. There are many extras which add to the charm and we look forward to a return visit. There is nothing we didn’t like! A coffee pod machine in the room instead of Insta would be an awesome addition, but not entirely necessary.

Stephen (10/5): A living gem of a guest house: a relaxing stay. - We loved the decor and furnishings in our comfortable large bedroom that reflected the elegant decor of the guest house. Both Stevan and Paula welcomed us warmly and we had beautifully cooked breakfasts. The dining area has a bar and drinks available for guests. The walls have quirky, funny retro 1950s poster style pictures that are entertaining to read. We loved everything.

Anne (10/5): Fantastic Stay!!! - We loved everything about it! Perfect location in the town centre, close to everything, including restaurants, cafes and shops. Bathroom had quality linen and all amenities including toothpaste. Bedrooms had everything we needed to ensure comfort: aircon, blackout curtains, tea & coffee facilities, assortments of teas. Jacuzzi on the back terrace and Mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks, bottle water and even snacks! Beds had high quality linen and were very comfortable. Windows are soundproof ensuring peaceful environment despite it being in the town centre. Our hosts Paula and Stephen are the nicest of people and made us feel very much at home. Breakfast was fresh and delicious! This is a true gem located in the heart of York. Nothing!

Sara (10/5): Top Notch - We were welcomed by Paula who showed us to our beautiful bedroom which had balconies facing the front and back of the property. There was a spa on the back facing balcony along with a table and chairs on both. The bed was large and very comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast, cereals, fruit & yogurt as well as a cooked breakfast. We were able to park in the grounds. Stephen and Paula made us feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending their guest house and we would return if we passed this way again.

Paula our host was super friendly and helpful and cooked an amazing breakfast both mornings. The room was spacious and everything was neat and tidy. The spa and balcony was wonderful and there was even some complimentary goodies in the mini fridge! To top it off its located right in the heart of York. Can't think of anything.
