Guest Reviews
- Tamara (9/5): - Beautiful peaceful gardens. Could have done with atleast a microwave in the kitchen .
- Donna (10/5): Peaceful stay with nature surrounding us. - Location and peace and quiet No dislikes!
- Paul (9/5): - Lovely location, nice facilities and clean. The host was very helpful. Nil.
- Shane (10/5): -
- MK (8/5): -
- Kim (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Suzanne (9/5): Tranquil and beautiful bush setting, beautiful old home - The location was beautiful and serene, just what I wanted. The breakfast/wine/coffee was plentiful and delicious. The house has such thick walls, it kept the heat out beautifully. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and I loved soaking in the bath at the end of the day. I liked that we had complete privacy even though the rooms are attached to the host's home. It would be good to have a basin and taps outside to wash our own dishes. The windows have no screens (understandably as it's an old house), so a few flying insects got inside. A lighter quilt would have been nice for summer. Other than that, it was perfect.
- Valerie (10/5): Lovely presentation, very well catered for, will definitely make it our next stay when in Adelaide! - Deep in the Adelaide Hills ,very peaceful ,pretty cottage, and garden surrounds. Minor issue, the settee , sunk deep into it, and not very comfortable.
- Jake (8/5): Beautiful home, secluded and quiet. - Ambience and styling was fantastic.
Location was gorgeous.
We had our dog at a retreat while we were here, so was great to be able to see Winnie for pats!
Food provisions were perfect. Pillows were too soft for me.
- Dean (8/5): We really enjoyed the super friendly hosts and Loved the old world charm, set in the peaceful and beautiful gardens - The setting was stunning, set amongst beautiful trees and bush. The gardens well kept and lush. It was peaceful and rural, with a lovely cow grazing in adjacent paddock We loved it
- Michelle (7/5): Peaceful stay in a lovely setting -
- Wilson (10/5): - The absolute quiet and absolute peace How cold it was and the heater wasn't that great
- Ashley (8/5): Normally at a B&B the host cooks breaky and you can sit down in a dry seat inside but this wasnt ava - We had to cook our own breakfast on an outside bbq as their was no kitchen or sink inside the accomodation. that was ok but on the second morning it was raining and the only table was outside and not under cover so we had to stand and eat. Lovely bucolic area and only 10 min. Drive to mt. lofty lookout over Adelaide and charming village of harndorf.
- Michelle (10/5): It was perfect - It was peaceful and relaxing Nothing
- Zoe (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing. Just what we needed this weekend. - Very clean and tidy, beautiful food and a great location. Although it is joined to the hosts house, it was super private and relaxing. Didn’t notice anyone else was there. N/A
- Brett (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (10/5): Would love to come back! - My partner and I had a wonderful weekend getaway, and our host ensured a wonderful stay.
- Jane (10/5): It was a pleasure to return after walking & sightseeing to the peacefullness & comfort of Fleetwood Cottage. - The tranquility, the quality fittings, the cleanliness, the friendly & helpful owner, the lovely fresh p,small but good fridge the closeness by car to main attractions of the Adelaide Hills. Good bathroom & hot water, good aircon, scrabble, Lovely outside area .
- Janet (8/5): Very good -
- Kerry (8/5): Enjoyed the location and host facilities provided. Great for summer as you cook and eat outside. - The host was great and what is there is fantasic just didnt realise you had to eat and cook outside. Nothing was inaccurate just we didnt notice that the B&B is really just a bedroom and bathroom, no dinning, lounge or real kitchen rooms. You have to cook and eat outside and given the Hills are not always warm in the morning its a summer place..
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Such a gorgeous little cottage, the host has taken care of every detail. The bath was luxurious after a long hike , the free range eggs and bacon and juice a really nice touch
- Terrie (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is beautiful as are the surrounding grounds, it is extremely peaceful. N/A
- Davies (10/5): Perfect weekend retreat! - Perfect location, peaceful and well supplied. Lovely old cottage and beautiful surrounds. Really felt like a country getaway but only 20 minutes from the CBD! Not applicable
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (8/5): Lovely cosy place to get away from routine - Enjoyed the interior decor, external environment and overall comfort of the cottage Lacked some bench space for food preparation and bathroom racks, plus lighting for those mid morning toilet runs
- Wendy (8/5): Very good - Lovely and cool in the heat. The breakfast and the welcome from our host
- Pittard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Beautiful garden setting and home. No microwave or sink in kitchenette.
- Sue-anne (9/5): Overall, a stunning little attached cottage and garden that we loved. - Celine was a wonderfully respectful host. She was warm and welcoming and ensured we had our privacy. The suite is an extension of the original home but somewhat restricted in that there is no kitchen or sitting room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The gardens are stunning and we ate our breakfast in the garden each day. The surrounding farms are also picturesque and we walked the Heysen Trail every morning. We stayed for 6 days / 5 nights. It would have been nice to have the unit serviced and fresh linen (towels etc) midway through our stay.
Some fresh supplies (bread, milk etc) also for that length of stay were supplied but only after we requested.
- Troy (6/5): Pleasant - no kitchen to prepare meals etc made things a bit awkward and frustrating
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (8/5): Very good - Very Quite peaceful clean and tidy Heating limited as is cold in them there hills
- Patrick (10/5): Old World Charm - Wonderful location in the Adelaide Hills - Easy scenic drive to Stirling and Hahndorf - Fleetwood BnB is located on a large treed property in Mylor - A good breakfast with supplements was provided by our Host Celine All was good
- Ryan (9/5): Superb - Beautiful area, peaceful and relaxing.
Friendly staff and a good amount of provisions. No cooking facilities except for a Small outdoors BBQ, which wasn't well lit.
Otherwise I had no issues.
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Lesley (10/5): Perfect place to unwind. Really appreciated the privacy - Everything. Beautiful cottage and garden Loved everything
- White (9/5): It was a busy holiday but wonderful to come home each night to a comfortable bed and peaceful location - Quiet and private and in a lovely location. It would have been perfect if it had a full kitchen.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (6/5): Pleasant - Expected a kitchen where we could cook the food provided and wash dishes.
- Konstantinos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Max (10/5): Perfect stay, Thank you! - Really well supplied and equipped. Bread, juice, bacon, eggs, strawberries, chocolates and much more was waiting for us upon arrival, along with a warm greeting.
Beautiful cottage and a great host!
- Paul (9/5): Lovely place to spend a couple of days. - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perhaps the addition of a microwave oven or small stove to the kitchenette would make it even better. We were unlucky with the weather - cold and wet - but can hardly blame our host for that!
- Tarina (4/5): Disappointing - Nice location but advertising gave the impression it was a cottage not attached to someone's house which was disappointing. Nice supply of toiletries, bath things. A lot of cobwebs, bathroom light not working, neighbour walked through invading our privacy, kitchenette not very practical/useful, no window coverings on toilet & bathroom (privacy issue), sofa location weird - need to be able to see outside.
- Caleb (10/5): It was lovely - Everything, lovely location Nothing
- Robert (8/5): Great place for a short getaway. - This B&B is in a gorgeous location in the Adelaide Hills well away from any villages - but close enough to get there. It's a private part of an old house. The breakfast was more than enough offering a choice of continental or full English (or both if you're really that hungry.) The slight drawback is that there are no cooking facilities (other than tea/coffee and toast) inside - but they provide a BBQ undercover on the outside veranda that works well for your breakfast needs and might well serve for other needs as well. Nothing really
- Kylee (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable, good value, private stay - Everything Nothing
- Bruce (9/5): Quiet, private, romantic location for two in an old historic cottage. The hosts were fantastic. - Breakfast and other provisions were the best - Artisan bread, fresh farm eggs, country bacon, fresh ground coffee, cereals, etc, etc. Add to that the little things in the bathroom/generally, etc, they really didn't miss anything.
Such a quiet location, so peaceful. The massively thick stone walls kept the internal temperature comfortable, whether it was cold or hot outside. One thing I did miss was a table and chairs. The floorplan of the cottage makes that hard. It was nice to sit outside in the garden on the wrought iron setting to eat, but perhaps a wooden table under the veranda would enhance the experience.
- Roger (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location. Beautiful large garden surrounded by woodland. Excellent spacious bathroom. Thoughtfully and elegantly decorated. Lovely verandah and outdoor furniture. A small table inside where 2 people could sit for a meal would be a help, especially if cool/inclement weather made eating outside impractical. Personally, I would prefer a couple of armchairs rather than the couch by the bed.
- Jennifer (9/5): This is a delightful cottage in a peaceful location. The loste - We were well supplied with a lovely selection of breakfast foods.
- Ben (9/5): Beautiful location, great vibe, well maintained, loved our stay, highly recommend - Portable heater was a little small for the space but was adequate as it wasnt that cold
- Jess (10/5): Gorgeous and tranquil oasis hidden in the Adelaide Hills. - Upon arriving, Celane greeted us with her absolutely gorgeous Border Collie. Immediately, we felt calm, well taken care of and excited for our stay at the incredibly tranquil property.
From the incredibly comfortable bed, beautiful property to explore and facilities, we were so impressed. Absolutely nothing. We didn’t want to leave. Celane, can we move in? 😉
- Kara (10/5): Exceptional - Consistent with description & reviews. Very cute cottage in a beautiful location. Good value considering full breakfast provided and a beautiful bottle of wine
- Fiona (9/5): Perfect Get Away - This was the perfect get away to relax and recharge. Its not for people who want to walk out the door and have restaurants within walking distance but if you have a car, it was a great base. Our hostess provided excellent range of foods for breakfast for our stay and was very welcoming. Pillows were too soft for me
- Melanie (9/5): Lovely little getaway in the Adelaide Hills. - The property was very cute. Celine was a great host and very responsive.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Such a great and friendly host, great location
- Rosemary (9/5): Relaxing comfy atmosphere and surroundings - Food provided was exceptional. Weather being cool I would have liked an upright chair and small table to eat indoors
- Donna (9/5): Our stay at Fleetwood Cottage was lovely. The gardens are beautiful and the location was very quiet. -
- Heather (10/5): great two nights escape in a beautiful setting 😊 - fantastic
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Very quaint, clean, and comfortable cottage, despite no kitchen, a BBQ and kitchen equipment was supplied and lovely local food provided to still be able to cook. Fantastic luxurious bath for two, made the stay even more romantic, lovely bathroom amenities also made the stay enjoyable, we would definitely stay again
- Marina (8/5): comfortable stay that allowed us to visit surrounding areas. A base for us to come back to following our travels. - beautiful cottage with amazing gardens couldn’t access Netflix
- Wasan (8/5): it’s a nice getaway location & owners are nice - location & style no cooktop beside the cutlery & the fridge
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Pen (9/5): Superb - Wonderful stay with easy checkin/out. Very comfortable bed and peaceful location. Perfect, quiet, short getaway to bushwalk and visit Bridgewater, Stirling and Monarto park. Clever Border Collie to play with, cheeky cows nearby, and excellent breakfast provisions. Bring your own sausages and have a sizzle like us at sunset while listening to the birds.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Lynne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurinda (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (9/5): Ideal location to explore the Adelaide Hills. - Clean, comfortable, well styled, extras, quiet and peaceful.
- Janet (8/5): We had a very quiet and relaxing stay; would highly recommend. - A great location, very quiet.
Extremely clean and well stocked with necessary provisions.
Breakfast provisions were high class and plentiful. We found the doors on the TV cabinet a bit of a nuisance. Could folding and 'pushaway' doors be installed?
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerard (9/5): Superb - Location picture perfect. Beautiful accommodation.
- Luke (9/5): Superb -
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nyenhuis (8/5): will come back again - great selection n/a
- Richard (10/5): beautiful country feel with touches of luxury! - Loved the beautiful breakfast, comfy bed and all the lovely touches around the place! candles and big bath and even a diffuser to add to the ambience. Great spot that felt very relaxing.
- Adrian (9/5): Superb - The ambience was fabulous, and the entire place is so warm and tasteful
