- Rick (6/5): Once we got accustomed to the quirks, it was a very pleasant stay right downtown in Banff. - Breakfast was provided although we had our own supplies. we were able to regulate the heat, that was nice. The bed was just the way we like. very firm.
The kitchenette was very dated. There were a number of issues with the cabin that we rented. It was very old and rustic. One side was much lower than the other so the floor slanted. The shower was quite small and the bathroom door did not latch. There was new flooring in all areas and the cabin was very clean. Structurally it was not sound.
- Manon (10/5): Karin was very helpful. Answered all our questions right away. Location couldn’t be better than that! - Location was incredible, right downtown.
Great service, really quiet. Shower is a little small.

- Nicole (10/5): I would definatley rent again! - Super cute cabin! Amazing location! Wonderful staff!! Absolutely nothing!!!!
- Sven (9/5): - The cottage was very nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful
- Dan (2/5): -
- Kolodziejczyk (10/5): - Karin was a great host. Her cabin and clean and comfortable and right in the heart of Banff. Definitely recommend.
- JOANNE (10/5): Cozy and perfect. We will be back. - I love this little Bed and Breakfast. If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Banff, Holiday Lodge Cabins is the perfect spot. Karen, who manages the property, is very sweet and responsive. Thanks to Karen's recommendations, we ate at great restaurants and we knew which sites to see during our visit. I have also stayed here during the summer and Karen's breakfasts are five stars! I'll never forget those muffins.

- Ronald (10/5): I'll be back! - The location was excellent. Right in downtown Banff. The cabin is clean and comfortable with a good bed. It's not modern or fancy, but the lower price reflects that. I would not hesitate to stay there next time I'm in Banff. Karen, the property manager, is very nice and checked in with me a few times to make sure everything was in order. Much appreciated. There's really nothing I did not like.

- Adnan Cemil (9/5): Excellent Accommodation in Banff - Everything was perfect compare to its price. You really experience the best time in Banff with this place. The location, cleanliness, breakfast basket and cozy atmosphere in the cabin is absolutely amazing. Compare to other places with extreme prices this place is the gem if you want to stay in a affordable and an amazing accommodation. Of course if you are looking for 5 star hotel comfort and luxury this is not the right place for you. However, this place will always be my first choice when I want to come to Banff.
- Catriona (7/5): Great location and value for money but the property itself could be much nicer if the external area was better taken car - The location couldn’t be better. In terms of value for money, this is probably one of the best you can find in Banff. The outside area of the cabin was really off putting. Piles of garbage and an old fridge are the first things you see on arrival and out of the window everyday which wasn’t very pleasant.
- Doug (7/5): Great hospitality and a convenient spot in the heart of Banff. - Comfortable and wonderful hospitality. Unfortunately, there were some safety issues with the plugs and a door, which was very hard to lock and open, and the window was broken.

- leah (10/5): good vacation in banff - location none
- Brian (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and convenient - an excellent value - The location was excellent and on-site parking very convenient. The daily breakfast was a welcome treat. The owner/host was super friendly and helpful, a very nice person. I thought it was a tremendous value for the price. Absolutely would stay there again if/when I'm back in the area.
- Mustafa (9/5): Superb -
- Barry (9/5): Surprising but enjoyable. - If you imagine something like a regular hotel, forget it. The cabins are 1950s and not upgraded. However, they are decidedly quaint and extremely well located. Being for a pleasant surprise. If these were issued by a real estate agent, they would be described as “handyman delight“. Was very good as is.
- Dorothy (6/5): great location, friendly hosts, cute, clean cabin - would prefer to have breakfast cooked and served rather than make your own cramped bathroom
- Katharine (9/5): Fabulous cabin in excellent location, with good parking and breakfast supplied. What is not to like - Fantastic location, really close to everything, good parking for large hire cars. Breakfast was supplied each day, including eggs, cheese, ham and bread. Very warm good shower. Snug and cosy cabin, lots of character. Nothing. It hasn’t been updated for a while but it has everything you could want.
- Vicki (8/5): I had an enjoyable stay, the host was very friendly - A breakfast basket was provided.
Very homey feel The heating was very noisy
- Christine (8/5): Comfortable and great location but needs a little TLC - Location was fantastic. Right in the heart of Banff and close to shops and restaurants. Karen and check in staff were very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable accommodation. A little disappointed not to experience the amazing breakfast muffins so many previous reviewers had raved about. The cottage could do with a bit of a facelift. Just a little bit too “rustic” for me with scraps of fabric for curtains.
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Breakfast, adequate for our needs and diet, and more than we could eat. Loved the choices for tea and coffee. Well supplied kitchen and lovely hot shower. Very quiet all night despite being right down town. Parking a bit tight but able to turn around and back into a spot to ensure safety on departure.Older small cabin but lovely. Snowshoes and old style pictures on walls that suited the home.
- Mary-anne (9/5): A very pleasant experience overall - Location and food proved was great.
- Mélanie (10/5): Best location, cosy cabin to stay in Banff to explore the National Parks - The host was most welcoming and brought us a breakfast tray filled with cold cuts, cheeses, far-fresh eggs, and home-made raspberry jam and other good treats every morning! It was perfect to start our day of hiking around the area which was really accessible. The host was also really nice in letting use the parking even after our check-out. Very minor inconvenience, but the heating (that was working very well and we could adjust easily) could be a bit loud at night.
- Kensington (10/5): A memorable holiday with a wholesome log cabin style living. - The cabin is adorable and well appointed with everything you need. The staff were so helpful a friendly it was great getting to know them a little during the stay, they had great suggestions on where to eat and what to do.
The location is fantastic, right in the middle of town (but still quiet for sleeping) walking distance to everything and great if you’re catching the buses up the mountain.
- Townsend (10/5): Exceptional -
- Whitney (9/5): Loved it, would stay again! - Loved this little cabin! It’s in a wonderful part of town, just a block from downtown Banff! The bed is incredibly cozy, it has all of the amenities that you need, and the owner is so friendly and kind! Highly recommend this spot!
- Josh (10/5): AMAZING! - Everything. Location. Personal touch. Comfort. Nothing
- Maricris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shelja (9/5): Superb - The cabin was clean, the host was super friendly and greeted us with a nice breakfast. The location is right in downtown Banff and easily walkable to all the restaurants and shops.
- Brenda (10/5): Highly recommend staying here. Will be staying there again - It was a cozy cottage that was in a great location to everything. Host was so accommodating and breakfast was excellent
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Justin (9/5): Superb -
- Jasmin (9/5): Just WOW! - Great location and fantastic staff!! We highly recommend it!!
- Treyvone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manjunath (9/5): Excellent location, nice host and very good breakfast - Host and home made breakfast , Location It's a little uncomfortable for 3 adults, The bathroom was cute but too tight
- Mconie (10/5): Cozy Cabins with Excellent Location and Hospitality - What I liked about Holiday Lodge Cabins was the location—it’s within walking distance to downtown Banff, making it super convenient. I also appreciated the free breakfast delivered straight to the cabin, which was an unexpected bonus. Karin's hospitality was excellent, as she was very accommodating from the start, making the stay even more enjoyable. None.
- Marie (10/5): Incredibly cozy and central stay with amazing breakfast and friendly host - This stay really exceeded our expectations. Right in the middle of downtown Banff, privately located in the backyard with parking & the host was so lovely. She could even speak German and delivered delicious breakfast to our door in the morning. We would immediately book this accommodation again & can’t recommend it enough! -
- Peter (8/5): Great Location and Wonderful Staff - Karen the manager was exceptionally helpful and friendly . She provided wonderful home made breakfasts to our cabin every morning Cabin was comfortable but in need of modernisation
- Daniel (9/5): Convenient and comfortable B&B - Summed up by the most delicious homemade muffins by Karen: personal, fresh, comforting!
- Nichole (10/5): We had a great stay, would absolutely come back. Is walking distance from the center of town. Breakfast was delicious! - Super hospitable people, loved the breakfast! Awesome location.
- Trudy (6/5): Overall for the price, location and extras from the host, it was a good deal. - The location was amazing. The host was excellent. I wasn’t expecting the nice continental breakfast and sack lunch. Outdated, cramped, low budget
- Bruna (10/5): Wonderful stay at the mountains - All wonderful, cabin very comfy and clean. My mom and I had really good nights of sleep. The breakfast was great. We will definitely be back. Only complaint is the wifi at the cabin :(
- Dina (8/5): We loved our short stay - The host was very nice , gracious and accommodating. She gives us a lot of tips on where to eat, what to see , what not to miss . Breakfast was very good she even offered to bring our breakfast early when we have to leave early and we were able to make a sandwich for lunch , provided all the necessary items and the muffins it is so good. Needs a little TLC
- Yuko (8/5): delicious and satisfying portion of breakf - It was great! Our host Karen made our travels very comfortable, gave many recommendations around town, prepared delicious and satisfying portion of breakfast. The lodge was nice and cozy, perfect room temperature, neat and tidy, and steps away from the heart of downtown. I highly recommend travellers to book their stay here.
- Drdrbrown1 (9/5): We appreciated our host and would return. - Breakfast was exceptional with homemade muffins and raspberry jam. Lots of information on the area sites. Relatively good value for what else was available in Banff. Exceptionally hot weather for no AC. Cabin could use some TLC.
- 丁聪 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (2/5): Central, expensive, needs renovating. Great homemade muffins - Central location, Karen who manages and rents the property from the 97 year old owner made great breakfast muffins and was very helpful. Comfy bed. We stayed in the cabin in the garden and the property needs badly renovating inside and out. Wi fi was very patchy and only worked occasionally. It’s very expensive for what you get.
- Nigel (9/5): The host was great, she was very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to help us. She had maps and helpful pamphlets for - A great location, close to everything and all walkable to local amenities and shots. Nothing, all good.
- Brendan (6/5): A quirky ‘traditional’ accommodation but traditional does mean improvements can’t be made. - Excellent host and location.
Good breakfast and shower. Poor facilities.
How does this property command three stars?
- Lisa (8/5): Overall a comfortable warm welcoming stay - Warm welcome, most central Banff location, and freshly baked muffins for breakfast.
Bed was comfortable
Hostess gave tips and marked all sightseeing.
A visit from the deer in early morning A little tight as older cottage, nevertheless clean
- Thomas (9/5): Exceptional host and excellent location - Our host Karen is the best, very down to earth and friendly. Gave us great info on the area and where to visit base on your preference. She notified us about the aurora event on the day of our arrival. Extremely appreciative as it was my wife's number one bucket list item. Gave us local knowledge of when and where to go, super helpful, my wife was so happy. Secondly the breakfast included was excellent, quality ingredients in the meal and freshly baked muffins (must try). Location is in the heart of everything, walking distance to all business needs and with on site parking included. But in the end, Karen is definitely the gem of the place. Can't beat a genuine and friendly host The property was a bit dated but reasonably clean. That is the only downside which we didn't care because everything else is so great.
- Mary (10/5): Excellent stay - Everything was beautiful 😍 That we couldn't stay longer
- David (9/5): Perfect for a short stay in Banff - If you want a log cabin like experience this is the place to choose. The location is excellent. Everything is in walking distance. Karen, the host, is very knowledgable about the area and gave some great advice. She also brings an awesome breakfast each morning!! The bathroom is on the small side but adequate, WiFi is a bit iffy.
- Anthony (10/5): Cozy clean cottage centrally location in downtown Banff. - The property is in a great location. The cottage was nice and cozy. Karen was an awesome hostess and the fresh muffins at breakfast were hard to beat. Karen also made some great recommendations for local sights to enjoy. Private off street parking was a plus.
- Maureen (10/5): Excellent breakfast - We liked the breakfast No sink plug in the bathroom.
- Jeanette (8/5): 2 night stay close to everything - Close to supermarket & wine shop. Around the corner from the main streets of Banff. Room was cosy, but had all we needed. Breakfast & info from Karen was excellent. Breakfast was big enough for lunch too!!! Maybe a little cosy- but still really good
- Rachel (9/5): A delightful and memorable stay, in Banff, with delicious breakfasts to start the day! - The property was small, quirky and very conveniently placed in the town. It was warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The breakfast was the best ever! Karens fresh homemade muffins were delicious! Karen, was also so helpful in providing maps and ideas of what to do. It was in definite need of renovation plus, a few cobwebs and dust in not so easy to reach places, however this didn’t spoil our stay!
- Stuart (8/5): Very good - Karen the manager was wonderful, very knowledgeable about Banff, great home made continental breaky The cottages, while quirky, are very old, but still comfortable enough. Saw
- David (10/5): Simply put, perfect in every way! - Everything was perfect. Location could not be better, on a quiet street one short block away from Banff Avenue with free parking. The hospitality was awesome. Our host Karin was fantastic, offering us a yummy breakfast delivered to our door. This breakfast included freshly baked warm homemade muffins loaded with fruit (blueberry day one, raspberry day two, banana day three), a special meat & cheese plate, orange juice, grain bread, plus. Oh yes, & Saskatoon berry jam! Obviously we highly recommend this accommodation.

- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - The cabin was great. It's so warm and cozy. Always plenty of hot water. We cooked in the little kitchen a few times, everything you needed. Lots of clean fresh towels. The breakfast was fantastic, we looked forward to it every morning, it set us up for the day. Best muffins EVER! Karen was a great host, very knowledgeable about Banff and surrounding areas. The location could not have been better, 2 minutes walk from the town and supermarket. A great place to stay. I liked all of it, but I suppose if I was being honest the cabin was a little tired, but that is part of its charm, it was definitely good value for money.
- Williams (7/5): Character cabin with great location to enjoy some ski days. - Amazing hot breakfast.
Friendly staff.
Great location.
Character. Dated.
Oven didn’t work.
- Danna (10/5): Exceptional - It's a cute, cozy little cabin that has everything you could ever need - a microwave, refrigerator, and a stove so you could do your own cooking. Karin is very nice and served us great breakfast with good portions every morning. We loved her freshly-baked muffins. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Banff in the summer!

- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Super cute and cosy 😍 Located one street back from the main street. We were able to check in very early. As we were heading out early the next morning and would miss breakfast the owner made us a lovely packed lunch. Breakfast was bought to us on our last morning and was delicious. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing..
