• Dave and Nathalie (9/5): Romantic night in Ghent - Lovely view on the Ghent canals in a charming and nice medieval building. The room is also very cosy with a good quality bed and all facilities. As we are vegan the owners bought specially for us a nice vegan breakfast that we also enjoyed outside with view on the canals.

• Jock Robertson (8/5): Rooms with a view........certainly an appropriate name! 😊 - The location is exceptional. The facility certainly lives up to its name, as the rooms certainly have views! The owner, Bie, is friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Being a heritage building the access was restricted. There isn't a lift, so be aware that luggage needs to be carried to your room, although staff are prepared to do this. Not easy, though, as the stairs were narrow and steep, with restricted headroom.....which at 192cm meant I had to avoid collecting bumps on the head.

Това не е просто хотел, а място, което превръща пътуването в истински спомен. Това е едно от онези места, които правят пътуването незабравимо. Ако търсите не просто хотел, а усещане, атмосфера и спомен, това е правилният избор. Горещо препоръчвам на всеки, който иска да усети магията на Гент по специален начин. • Alex (10/5): Like its namesake the view is stunning - I've been to Ghent a few times, and Rooms With A View is by far the most charming place I've stayed there. Just as its namesake suggests, the view by the Leie canal overlooking undeniably the best view of Old World Ghent simply cannot be beat. Our package included breakfast at the nearby restaurant Korenlei Twee and it was tasty and filling. Absolutely no complaints there. Hosts were very friendly, helpful. As a B&B, I could hardly ask for anything more from this place. We will be staying here again. It's pricey for the size of room. We had just done a river cruise in a "steerage level" sized cabin, and I think this room may have been smaller. But we didn't go to Ghent to staycay in the flat, so this is only a minor issue, all things considered.

• Beyen (10/5): prachtige locatie, ideaal voor een romantisch uitje - hadden de suite, prachtig uitzicht, heel mooie ruime kamer, zeer goed bed. Superlekker ontbijt. In het hartje van de stad, dichter bij alles kun je niet zijn. Vriendelijk personeel. Konden dichtbij parkeren in privé-garage. Minibar en fles wijn, koffie en thee op kamer gratis inbegrepen. Balkon was deze periode van het jaar na de middag in de schaduw dus iets te fris.

• marit (9/5): fantastisch knus hotel op een perfecte locatie. - perfecte locatie en super vriendelijk personeel. het ontbijt kon je met een bestellijst op je eigen wensen samenstellen, er was een uitgebreide keuze en alles was super vers. we komen zeker nog een keer terug. door wegwerkzaamheden naar Gent en in Gent klopte de routebeschrijving totaal niet meer. we waren hiervan graag op de hoogte gesteld. na een aantal telefoongesprekken met het hotel hebben we de bestemming uiteindelijk bereikt.

It’s where you want to be to feel part of the city. - There can’t be a better view in all of Ghent than the one from our many windowed room. Breathtaking. Well appointed room. Loved the complimentary beverages. A little noisy but the view is worth it.

Location is great with an excellent view and close to everything. Room was very comfortable and clean. Drinks in the room were complimentary. Excellent choice for breakfast and a fantastic outside area for warmer weather. The hotel bar outside area was great for watching the world go by. Steep stairs to the room could be a problem for some guests.

On voit que les propriétaires sont au petit soin pour que l’on passe le meilleur moment possible et ils sont plein d’attentions. Le petit déjeuner à la carte est copieux et qualitatif. Un grand merci d’avoir rendu ce séjour encore plus spécial !

Hele vriendelijke mensen, het ontbijt wat je zelf kunt samenstellen is geweldig en wordt geserveerd in een prachtige sfeervolle ruimte. Op de kamer is een minibar aanwezig, koffie en tthee, flesje wijn en alles is inclusief. Iedere dag wordt het aangevuld indien nodig. Ook wordt de kamer iedere dag schoongemaakt. In de badkamer tref je allerlei badproducten aan. Kortom: TOP

• Micaela (9/5): Zalige suites op toplocatie - Toplocatie. Beter kan niet. Na vorige keer kamers te hebben gehad in het oude hoekpand, hadden we nu kamers in het nieuwe deel. Ontzettend ruime kamers van alle gemakken voorzien. Zalige bedden, lekkere koffie op de kamer en een fijne fles wijn. Bij mooi weer zijn de terrassen een prachtige plek om Gent van bovenaf te bekijken. Het ontbijt is een feestje. In de bovenste kamer onder het dak zie je de prachtige balken van het dak. Deze maken wel dat je steeds alert moet zijn om je hoofd niet te stoten ; het is een soort van limbodansen :-) Verder zou een extra stopcontact naast het bed fijn zijn.

• Alexander Roelof (9/5): Mooie kamer op een mooie locatie. - De kamer, het balkon, de omgeving en het ontvangst. In de badkamer was een doucheslang aan vervanging toe, deze lekte. En er miste een paar raampjes op de lichtknoppen, voor deze prijsklasse verwachten wij eigelijk wel dat alles werkt en mooi afgewerkt is. Voor de rest was alles hartstikke goed!

• Gemis (9/5): aangnaam verblijf zonder opmerkingen - super goede locatie in het centrum van de stad en goed bereikbaar met de auto. Accomodatie had parking geregeld op onze vraag en deze was vlakbij. In de kamer stonden er een paar drankjes en een flesje wijn klaar, zonder dat er extra kosten voor aangerekend werden.

• Santiago Fermin (9/5): A nice room with indeed excellent views - Such a great location! Views were amazing. All of the soft drinks (also wine) were included. Room was comfy and very clean. By the way: room was cleaned every day. We did not need it but it was done anyway. Breakfast was really good. Stairs, yes, but we could cope with it. The first day even someone brought our luggage up while we were out. Personally, I found the matress too soft. That's a question of personal taste, so no real critic here. We have no internet during our stay. However, we really did not needed because we have good roaming with our mobile operator.

What a gem! - Loved the perfect location but also my gorgeous room which really did have a view, the incredible breakfast (Just wow!), the three course dinner in the restaurant, the generous free mini bar. The bed was so comfortable too. All of it. Bie is a wonderful host who was incredibly helpful with luggage and organising a taxi for me. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in and would go back to Ghent just to stay here again. Nothing. Perfect in every way.

Die Lage, der Blick auf Gent, unbeschreiblich schön. Wir haben einen Garagenplatz dazu gebucht. Der Parkplatz ist ganz in der Nähe und auch das hat sehr gut geklappt. Das Hotel ist nur zu empfehlen. ./.

• Claudia (10/5): Einfach Klasse - Die Lage ist einfach einmalig! Zentraler kann man nicht wohnen in Gent und die Aussicht ist unschlagbar! Das jahrhundertealte Haus liegt direkt am Wasser und ist eines der ältesten Häuser im alten Hafen Gents. Wer also hier einen Aufzug vermisst, sollte woanders unterkommen, denn in dem denkmalgeschützten Haus ist alles eben "alt". Die Treppe ist steil und das Holz knarrt...einfach herrlich! Das Zimmer hat 5 große Fenster zur Altstadt und zum Fluss hin, es ist gemütlich eingerichtet mit einem großen Bett, Sitzgelegenheiten, einem Schreibtisch und einem schönen Bad mit Dusche. Die Minibar steht zur Verfügung und wird täglich aufgefüllt, ebenso wie eine Flasche Wein und Nüsse! Der täglische Zimmerservice ist sehr gut. Bei den niedrigen Temperaturen halten Jalousien und Vorhänge die Wärme trotzdem gemütlich im Zimmer, da bei dem alten Haus natürlich keine dicke Isolierung o.ä. zu erwarten ist. Die Angestellten sind sehr nett. Das Frühstück kann jeden Tag auf eigenen Wunsch zusammengestellt werden und steht dann pünktlich sehr reichhaltig und frisch bereit - man nimmt es im Restaurant des Hauses ein, welches gemütlich und schön dekoriert ist. Jede Tür ist durch einen Türcode gesichert und ein Garagenplatz, den man kostenpflichtig hinzubuchen kann, ist ebenfalls durch eine Karte gesichert und liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hauses. Entfernungsangaben zur Innenstadt sind unnötig, da man mittendrin wohnt. Ein Safe, der aufgeführt wird, ist nicht im Zimmer vorhanden.....aber das hat uns nicht gestört! Ist aber hier vielleicht für manche Gäste zu erwähnen.

• Yulia (9/5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Sehr schönes Zimmer und super Location! Alles sehr sauber. Nette Gastgeberin. Parkplatz haben wir vorher reserviert, hier hat auch alles geklappt. Das sind nur Kleinigkeiten sonst hat uns alles sehr gefallen: Es war etwas kalt nachts, obwohl die Heizung a war (liegt aber an dem alten historischen Gebäude). Eine extra warme Decke zu der Jahreszeit währe gut gewesen. Das Zimmer liegt direkt unter der Küche somit roch es etwas nach Essen - wir fanden es nicht so schlimm.

• chris (10/5): - Service was phenomenal and the breakfast was outstanding. Everything about the stay was delightful and exceeded our expectations. They left us beverages and a few snacks for our stay which was very very appreciated. The only adjustment we had to make is that the location was very noisy, but that is not a problem with the facilities. It’s just where we stayed and that comes along with the convenience of the location Not a thing it was perfect
• Ilse (9/5): super! - Super mooie locatie met een prachtig zicht op de Gentse binnenstad. Wij hadden als kamer de Gravensteen Loft. Deze was super mooi en gezellig ingericht. Als welkom ook een fles wijn gekregen. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en super lekker ontbijt. We voelden ons zeer welkom.

• mark (9/5): Great for location, views and great breakfast offering - Great location. Fantastic breakfast offering - well presented in the hotel restaurant’s dining room. Great views from the room. Free drinks in mini bar Spiral staircase is very steep and there’s no lift - will not suit anyone with mobility restrictions. Ours was the top floor room which benefited from a Juliet balcony and great views across the old quarter of Ghent.
• Robin (10/5): The hotel truly lives up to its name, the views were breathtaking and the room was beautiful. - Nothing, the hotel was incredible, from the staff to the room, I cannot think of anything that would need to be improved.
