• Peter (8/5): Prima luxe kamer - Mooie en ruime kamer en een prima bed. Er kan wat meer licht in het trappenhuis zijn. De metalen treden zijn donker en niet altijd goed te onderscheiden van elkaar.

• Natalie (9/5): - Sehr netter Empfang mit Begrüßungsdrink durch Benjamin dem Gastgeber. Tolle moderne Zimmer. Gemeinschaftsraum mit Kühlschrank. Kaffee und Tee standen zur Verfügung. Fußläufig bis in die Stadt ca. 10 Minuten.
• Monique (10/5): Perfecte plek voor een weekend Gent. - Fijne ruime kamer, met zitje en goed bed, ruime douche. Net buiten drukke centrum, maar op loopafstand van bezienswaardigheden (10 minuten). Voldoende leuke restaurantjes en ontbijtgelegenheden in de buurt. Benjamin is een hele vriendelijke gastheer die vol enthousiasme vertelt over de geschiedenis van het huis en tips geeft voor leuke restaurants. Welkomstdrankje in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte, waar ook een koelkast staat die je kunt gebruiken. Ook gelegenheid om koffie en thee te zetten. Vanuit die ruimte kun je wel wat horen in je kamer, maar verder totaal niet gehorig tussen de onderlinge kamers. Erg prettig! Wij waren erg enthousiast en zullen een volgende keer zeker weer hier boeken. Alles was prima in orde! Enige is dat er geen lift is, dus als je erg slecht ter been bent kunnen de trappen lastig zijn (kamers zijn op 2e verdieping).

• Olaf (9/5): Super host, ruime kamers en op een prima locatie! - Prima locatie, superaardige en behulpzame host, grote en rustige kamer. In de kamer ernaast een grote tafel met borden en bestek, een koelkast en een magnetron. Voor onderweg lagen wat snacks klaar en je kon koffie (Nespresso) en thee zelf klaarmaken, super geregeld! Door de wind klapperden de ramen en kon ik ze niet openhouden 's nachts. En de verwarming maakte een tikkend geluid (werd 's nachts automatisch uitgezet) bij kouder or warmer worden. Geen groot probleem allebei, maar iets waar wat aan gedaan kan worden voor de volgende gasten.
• Michiel (10/5): Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een heerlijk weekendje Gent - Benjamin is een supervriendelijke gastheer. Onze kamer was heel ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. We kregen ook nog een welkomstdrankje om ons weekend goed van start te laten gaan!
• Antoine (9/5): Prachtig sfeervol en gastvrij verblijf - Benjamin is een hele goede gastheer. Prachtige accommodatie met veel liefde en aandacht ingericht. Voor ons geen probleem maar niet geschikt voor mensen die niet goed ter been (afstand naar het centrum en de vele trappen) zijn.
• Jill (10/5): Heel fijn verblijf. 10 min lopen van hartje Gent - Het persoonlijke ontvangst. (Incl verhaal over de historie van het monumentale pand) De ruime en schone kamer. Als ik dan iets zou moeten noemen dan is het de buiten gevel. Dit schrikt in eerste instantie een beetje af maar binnen ziet alles er keurig uit. Weten nu ook dat dit nog gerestaureerd moet gaan worden.
• Martinus (10/5): Smaakt naar meer. - Zeer speciale lokatie, in het industriële havengebied van Gent,volop in ontwikkeling maar nu al erg interessant. Toch loop je ook zo naar het spectaculaire centrum van deze historische stad! Gastheer was uitmuntend en bood de gastvrijheid van ‘n B&B met de privacy van ‘n hotelkamer. Alles heel schoon en ruim en smaakvol. We komen graag nog eens terug!

• Eileen (9/5): Perfecte locatie voor weekend Gent - Hele fijne locatie, met 10-15 min lopen ben je in het centrum. Auto kun je makkelijk parkeren bij nabijgelegen parkeergarage en voor maar 7 euro per dag. Kamer is heel netjes en de host is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Helpt je graag verder en geeft tips voor leuke restaurants etc.

• marleen (9/5): Twee overnachtingen, beetje buiten centrum… maar achter die gevel straalt een zeer mooie B&B - Je voelt en hoort de passie van Benjamin. Je ligt niet midden in het centrum, maar toch niet heel veraf. Ontbijtgelegenheden voldoende. Wij gingen bij Touch..een ontbijtbar in de buurt die een echte aanrader is. Iedere vraag of probleem werd met de nodige zorg behandeld. Wij waren zeer tevreden! Een kleine noot van positieve feedback is misschien dat er in de kamer een bijkomende spiegel zou komen. Wanneer je met twee u wilt klaarmaken kan de ene in de kamer en andere in de badkamer verder doen. De spiegel van de badkamer staat te ver in de hoek waardoor het moeilijker is om je haren te föhnen, je komt met de arm tegen de deur van het toilet. En je kan je er niet helemaal in zien, ondanks het een lange spiegel is. Maar wil deze opmerking niet negatief benoemen!
• Juliane (10/5): - Super comfortable, very clean and beautiful accommodation. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us – quiet and a 10-minute walk to the centre. We travelled by train, and even the walk from the nearest station was no problem. We are excited to see what Benjamin and his wife will do with this beautiful house and will definitely be back. ☺️

• Sarah (10/5): Super! Voor herhaling vatbaar - Eerst wilden we midden in het centrum maar zijn blij dat we hier hebben geboekt. Het is een supeleuke wijk met allerlei lekkere eettentjes (ontbijt, dinner). Het centrum is op loopafstand. De kamer was daarnaast lekker ruim en heel schoon!
• Annemiek (10/5): Fantastisch - Heerlijk verblijf gehad in Maison Kitoko! Zeer hartelijk ontvangen door eigenaresse Kariann met een glaasje wijn. De kamer is heel mooi ingericht en zeer comfortabel: heerlijk bed, fijne douche en een lekker zitje. In de gemeenschappelijke ruimte kun je koffie, thee en koekjes krijgen, en er staat een koelkast om wat eigen spullen koud te zetten indien nodig. Onze kamer lag aan de achterkant van het huis waardoor het superstil was s nachts, en dat terwijl je toch echt in het centrum van Gent zit. Lopend ben je binnen 10 minuutjes bij alle toeristische highlights, maar dichter in de buurt heb je vele leuke cafeetjes en restaurants, die de eigenaren je met liefde aanraden. Wij komen zeker terug wanneer we weer naar Gent komen! Niets, alles was super

Als we puntje moeten noemen is het het feit dat het niet mogelijk was met het raam open te slapen, gezien er teveel herrie van de straat kwam (verkeer, mensen buiten etc).

• Kamil (7/5): - The room was very clean and very spacious. The location was good. It was a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and close to the city center. Benjamin was very friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately, the internet wasn't working during our stay. We couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi. We reported the problem to the owner, but unfortunately, the owner didn't even notice the message, so the problem wasn't fixed.

• Hoàng Nam (10/5): Juste parfait ! - Tout a été parfait ! L’emplacement est idéal, à deux pas du centre-ville, tout en étant extrêmement calme. La rue est agréable, bien éclairée et facilement accessible, avec des possibilités de parking très pratiques. Un week-end en amoureux sans de stress, tout c'est déroulé à la perfection comme je l'attendais, je dirai même mieux que prévu ! Merci ! Rien à signaler, j’ai tout apprécié. L’établissement, l’accueil et le service étaient parfaits. Peut-être que si vous avez de grosses valises ou du mal à marcher, alors ça peut être plus difficile pour monter les escaliers. En tout cas, je n’ai pas vu d’ascenseur… Mais absolument rien de négatif.

Prprietarul a fost foarte amabil, am fost intampinate cu cate un pahar de vin si alte gustari. exista o zona comuna dotata cu frigider, microunde, espressor si mici gustari. A fost putin cam cald seara, iar ventilatorul nu prea a facut fata, a racit camera abia spre dimineata, dar pe ansamblu a fost ok si depinde si de preferintele fiecaruia.

• Sophia (10/5): Highly recommended, especially for friends or couples. - The location is very good, walking distance to the centre. The apartment was super nice and exceptionally clean. Benjamin, the owner, was very kind and helpful, providing us with information on practical things but also suggestions on where to dine, etc. The apartment is on the second floor and there’s no elevator. It was not an issue for us, but it might be for someone, especially if they are carrying suitcases.

The mattress was very firm, which hurt my back. And the temperature at night and morning weren’t very comfortable.

Lovely shower and incredibly comfortable large bed. Access to hot drinks in a communal area with a fridge and microwave. The location was excellent - a pleasant stroll into the centre.

• Ek (10/5): Highly recommend this place - The place was fully renovated, very spacious and cosy. Benjamin made us feel very welcome, he is definitely among the best hosts we ever had. He was so nice with great recommendations and showed high hospitality. We couldn’t recommend this place more. The building is very old and sometimes it feels difficult to have a warm room. But it didn’t affect our stay as Benjamin had the heating open most of the time.

Notable was the quality of fittings and style. It’s different and we enjoyed it. The communal area was a spacious bonus for us as two couples. The rooms are up two quite long staircases. It is not suited to the frail people.

It's just a 10 minute walk to the city centre. We had a wonderful experience. Breakfast is not included (but the host has some great suggestions in the area). Paid parking in front of the house is fairly expensive. (9 euro's per 5 hours). But these are just minor points.

• William (9/5): Superb - Arrived around 11pm on a Friday evening but the host Benjamin still met us and gave us a tour of the property upon our arrival (we loved the family history!), as well as a lovely welcome drink and snack! The room was very spacious and clean, had everything we needed for a two-night stay, and the location was perfect - a quiet residential area that is only 15mins walk into the Old Town. The radiator in our room was a little too loud for our liking (would make a couple of loud ticking sounds everytime the heating came on), but apart from this everything else was perfect!
