Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): - Location is a little remote but it was worth it for the views from the cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and breakfast was provided.
- Archibald (9/5): -
- Karen (7/5): Lovely for one night - Pool was lovely Bit further out than expected
- Kiran (10/5): -
- Lucy (9/5): -
- Robynjns (9/5): Room with a view - You can't go past that beautiful view - amazing đ
- Derek (6/5): Not the relaxing stopover to relax and stretch our legs we were hoping for - The view was indeed lovely The granny flat was inside the pool enclosure. Very small and not very comfortable. As the property is 20kms out of town, and on quite a tricky road, we were advised to bring our own food but no condiments, dressing etc were provided. Discouraged from taking a walk because of âcows in the laneâ .
- Jill (10/5): A lovely, welcoming and peaceful stay in a gorgeous location - Absolutely gorgeous location looking down over the Murrumbidgee River and out to the Brindabellas.
- Christine (9/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Comfortable, relaxing and very pleasant - Very comfortable accommodation with a very pleasant host. This property is in a beautiful peaceful rural setting with magnificent views of the river and rolling green hills. We enjoyed returning each day to relax and take in the view after a day out. Being able to swim in the pool was a bonus. This is a lovely spot to take a short break.
- diane (10/5): Loved it..very peaceful - I liked the fact she had thought of everything..I.e. sunscreen..flyspray..lots of little things that are easy to forget
- Merrick (9/5): We would stay again in a heart beat. - Remoteness, silence, views, crisp sheets. Nothing
- Taylor (10/5): Loved it! Our dog had a ball. - Amazing views. Beautiful stay with the sounds of nature. The hosts were very welcoming.
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Angela (10/5): Homely, comfortable with beautiful views and when warm enough the pool would be such a treat. - Beautiful little home with the most incredible views. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Our dog loved it also. Nothing to dislike at all.
- Karen (10/5): Amazing Cottage with Views - Great place to stay with your pets. We have 2 Labradors and they were safe and secure in the pool enclosure. Cottage was very well equipped for self catering and included dog bowls. A lovely Continental Breakfast provided with great views of the valley.
- Kevin (9/5): - Spectacular views great host relaxing
- Neale (7/5): Only stayed overnight and was very comfy after a somewhat iffy drive. Could do with a bit more bench space. Gorgeous vie - As advertised, beautiful location / view.
Friendly dogs and owner greeted us
Rustic conversion of pool house
Good shower and comfy bed
Good size refrigerator and full stove for cooking Road quite a challenge but ok
Living area a tad basic with little bench space
Fair drive , 20 minutes out of Yass but we knew that going in
Couldnât find bins for recycling and general rubbish
- Nina (10/5): We loved staying here. Was a great find out of town and would definitely stay again when up this way - Fabulous view and great facilities. Nothing
- Jennifer Rudder (9/5): Stunning views and a cosy, comfortable cottage to enjoy in all seasons - The location lives up to its name, Amazing Views and we enjoyed the fact that it was out of town, quiet and relaxing with the stunning surrounds to enjoy. The breakfast was simple and adequate. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast and that it is only supplied for the first day and not subsequent days.
There was also wine to buy which was a lovely touch but it would have been nice if it were local wines offered rather than overseas wines to support the local community.
- Justine (10/5): Stunning location, with all you need and more accommodation! - Amazing location, make sure you arrive in the daylight to truly appreciate the views! The cottage has everything you need, hospitality is fantastic (Jacquie is great to deal with) and the pool is a bonus. Weâll definitely be back again.
- Liliana (8/5): Good! - The view The bed sheets!
- Josephine (8/5): Relaxing, star gazing and lovely host - Views Pillows were flat
- Jen (9/5): Superb - Breakfast options were basic but good. It was difficult to find in the dark but the place is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly.
- Adrian (9/5): Superb - Beautiful setting and stunning views.
Jacquie was very helpful during our stay.
- The (10/5): Very quiet and comfortable, beautiful views, our pets were welcomed! - This was a lovely, restful stop on a long journey. Our pets were welcomed and there was plenty of space for them to play and run, plus the resident pets were incredibly friendly as well. Thank you Jacquie for being an amazing hostess.
- Catherine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gayle (10/5): Very relaxing getaway with great scenery. Highly recommended. - Very secluded, peaceful location with spectacular views and comfortable, private accommodation.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - The views were incredible Long journey over dirt road to get there.
- Edwina (8/5): Facilities very good and pet friendly with spectacular views and great host. - Breakfast supplied very good. Location spectacular. Drive to location a little bit hair Your! Everything was great.
- Tyrone (6/5): Amazing views, and you would be dumb not to engage in the natural beauty of the place. - The location is what makes this worth the stay.
Jaquie and Michael are friendly, and very welcoming.
It was awesome to be able to take our dog with and be secure in the knowledge that he was safe and could not get out without us putting him on a lead.
No Wi-Fi. Which is wonderful.
This is a bonus, as it means that we were completely available to take the scenery in and be absorbed in nature. No breakfast, we were given 4 pieces of toast, one small tub of yogurt each, one small tub of fruit, one half litre of milk and one half litre of orange juice, and some muesli and wheatbix for a three day stay. After the first day the butter that was issued was finished. There were about 5 sheets of towel paper for the kitchen, and when that ran out is was not replaced.
If we were meant to supply our own, then we should have been told to do so.
We mentioned that there was no hot water coming through to the kitchen sink, and it was only repaired on our last day, so we had use of the hot water in the kitchen on the last night.
- Suzanne (10/5): Quaint Cottage with amazing views đ - Wow!!! what a view.
we received a warm welcome from Jacquie & her beautiful dog's. It is a quaint little cottage with everything that you need for a night or two. That there was no water pressure in the kitchen sink or washing up rack considering you had no other option than to wash up. Not that was a problem, just hard to stack the dishes.
- Janice (10/5): Lovely little friendly pool house - Wonderful
Pet friendly accommodation just outside of Yass up in the hills of good hope - the owners were wonderful & the location had spectacular views! Nothing- it is about 20 minutes out of Yass so you probably wouldnât stay more than a few nights- wifi can be difficult so be aware that you do drive along a dirt road for quite some time & as you go up a long hill you will see the main house entrance with numbers 452 outside - once you arrive it is worth it!!
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Clean, well appointed, wonderfully quiet and calm. - Supplies were thoughtful and generous. It was wonderfully quiet and dark for sleeping. The views are quite magnificent. Only very small things, we would have liked some instant coffee, bigger mugs and bigger teaspoons. These are just our personal preference.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Amazing views
- Danielle (10/5): A wonderful location with spectacular views and lovely hosts. - Highly recommend this property. Wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Spectacular views. Lovely breakfast.
Very comfortable space to relax and very comfortable bed for a great nights sleep.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing time to get away to thanks
- Peter (10/5): One night stay in beautiful durroundings - Breakfast was more than adequate, cereal, juice toast and spreads along with coffee. Location was with a view of the coiuntryside. Very friendly dogs belonging to the owners Nothing could have been better
- Wes (10/5): I will return - Absolutely stunning views, in a very well presented property. Nothing
- Tennelle (10/5): Exceptional - Views.
- Kathleen (9/5): Property names says it all! - Pet friendly. Amazing view. Dirt roads. Wouldnât like to be in a small low to the ground vehicle.
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (7/5): Probably comfortable enough and the view is amazing. - Obviously the view and the pool and the layout is fantastic.. The cottage itself was small but adequate. Disappointed that there were no interior photos to judge the accommodation by. Disappointed also that as the venue is so far away from Yass and the road in is difficult (we are country people and had a four wheel drive but I suspect a city person in a small car would find it challenging.) Because it is so far away from Yass we were advised to bring our own food which we did but there was only two of everything, plates knives, forks etc a tiny fry pan and one saucepan and no exhaust fan in the kitchen. It looked sweet but was inadequate in terms of kitchen facilities. Bathroom mirror was inadequate and no vanity unit or shelf to put out toiletries. Bed was ok but shook when my husband moved. No wardrobe.
Having said that, our host was absolutely lovely and we really appreciated her understanding when we arrived several hours late due to illness. and the set up for the dog was great.
- Lena (10/5): Amazing! Definitely want to come back and thinking of shouting my family for a stay there too. - Amazing views, amazing food loved the pool! Loved the quiet and staring at the stars at night. And the sunrise too! Thanks jacquie and Michael! If only there was more privacy to the pool/ property. Maybe having some sort of partition between owners and holiday home would help or even a hedge?
- Jen (5/5): Passable -
- Paula (10/5): We have a fabulous stay. Ideal weather and Jacquieâs hospitality was fantastic. - The stunning view with the pool was incredible. None
- Richard (9/5): Superb - the location is spectacular--atop a hill overlooking pastures and a lake. the swimming pool is a great asset and the accommodation perfect for two --especially if you are happy to hide away with books etc
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful place to visit. Welcoming host, great accommodation ⌠and the viewsâŚ. - AV has everything in the rooms perfectly organised. But why it is so special is all about the beauty and peacefulness of the location. Definitely worth getting this little bit off the beaten track - it was a little moment in Heaven for us.
- Peter (9/5): Good spot to break your journey for one night. - It's a bit of an adventure seeking out this place. it's at the top of a steep hill with great views as advertised.
Breakfast supplied. Pool fence kept our small dog in.Building is a small pool house. A large deck beside the welcoming pool was a pleasant place to watch he sun go down. My wife said I got this one right! The steep gravel road up the hill was a bit of a challenge for our loaded 2WD Mazda CX5.
- Julie (9/5): Perfect serenity - Perfect place to stay with your dog. Amazing views, and a swim in the pool after 5 hours driving was just what was needed. Waking up to the sound of sheep and cattle, absolute bliss. The cottage is basic but has everything you need, and is nicely decorated. It is a long way out of town, so make sure you buy some supplies in Goulburn or Yass before heading there. The road is a little challenging, and would not recommend to anything but either an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle with good clearance. Neither really negative if you want to get away from it all
- Deslee (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (10/5): Amazing views over the valley, very comfortable accommodation and a lovely private pool. - Amazing views
Fantastic pool
- Chwen (8/5): Very good -
- Gianna (9/5): Fantastic stopover. If the weather was warmer would have loved to use the pool. Thoughtful touches by Jacque were appre - Beautiful location. Australia at its best loved it N/a
- Chris (9/5): Lovely place - We absolutely loved it there, beautiful scenery, very pretty area, hearing the sheep and birds, very peaceful. The bed was so uncomfortable we couldnât sleep.
- Jeremy (10/5): Will definitely go back again. - Beautiful view . Exceptional friendliness and welcoming. Very comfortable very clean. Good kitchen and living area great veranda.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Jacquie was very helpful and welcoming. The view was incredible and the facilities were terrific. Just wish it was a bit warmer and we had more time for a swim!
- Jeremy (9/5): Superb - Great quiet and remote location in a stunning area.
- Meaghan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (10/5): Very pleasant - Location is amazing. Accom is a lovely cottage, nicely appointed with lots of new appliances and an incredible view over the dam. Hosts Jacquie and Michael were lovely and very helpful
- Catherine (10/5): Stunning views - The views were absolutely stunning.
Jacquie was very warm and welcoming nothing was a bother and always went out of her way.
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Gorgeous views from the room and wonderful hospitality.
- Powell (10/5): thank you! amazing and relaxing ! we loved our time up high in amazing views bed and breakfast. - the view is simply breathtaking / so quiet and peaceful and at night you can see the entire milky way and stars for miles! amazing!!! the road in is very in even and lots of pot holes- due to heavy rain and land slides. 4WD - would be able to drive better
- Kylene (8/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (5/5): The property is suited to a quiet getaway but not an overnight stay on a hectic journey. - Comfortable bed Access to the property was challenging along many kilometres of pot holed road, particularly arriving after dark.
There was no suggestion of this in advert. Breakfast was poor.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Loved the remote isolation and quiet. - The place is quite isolated and off the beaten track. I liked the quiet and the solitude. Come looking for peace and quiet not restaurants and coffee bars! I wasn't aware that this was accommodation next to the owners residence. There was no intrusion so it wasn't a problem for me (and perhaps I missed it in in the booking.com text) but I think some visitors might like to be aware.
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (1/5): Exhausting - The breakfast was low quality food provided.
The location had a nice view but way out of town and a rough road to get there. There was a problem with the toilet which was a known fault. So we where up at midnight stopping the toilet from constantly running so we could sleep. We stayed here overnight so we wouldnât go home tired but would have been better off just driving all the way home.
- Jupjup (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): wonderful experience and fantastic host. My only concern would be the that the access dirt road to the property is pote - isolation , wonderful views and spectacular country setting. difficult access by road and dirt track
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): As described. Great stay - Comfortable bed. Amazing views. Host is very friendly. Neatly spaced guest house with kitchenette bathroom and nice sized bedroom. Didn't try the pool as it wasn't exactly swimming weather when I went but it looked great. The road and driveway into the property is not in a great condition, heaps of potholes. If it is wet the final hill up could be a challenge for non 4*4 vehicles.
This is literally the only thing I can fault them on.
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (9/5): Lovely pet friendly B&B with a truly amazing view. - Location very peaceful and lovely outlook. Friendly and helpful directions, including the tip to bring dinner as there is nowhere nearby to get a meal, especially since I needed to arrive in the dark. Nice continental breakfast provided and wine available for purchase.
- Rowan (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (9/5): Far from the madding crowd - Perfectly peaceful venue, with superb vistas. The microwave oven is tiny and doesn't accommodate a dinner plate.
Access to the property is via a dirt in a fairly bad state of repair.
- Bernadette (9/5): Superb - The views are absolutely beautiful â¤ď¸ The room had everything you needed. Would love to stay again in Summer The pot holes on the road driving up
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (7/5): Good -
