Guest Reviews
- Charlwood (10/5): -
- Anatoly (10/5): Absolutely Exceptional Stay at Ghost Hill Road - We had an unforgettable stay at Ghost Hill Road. The property is beautifully designed, immaculately maintained, and surrounded by the kind of peaceful bushland that instantly slows your pulse. Everything feels thoughtfully curated - from the comfort of the accommodation to the little touches that make the place feel genuinely welcoming rather than just “well run.”
The atmosphere is incredibly serene, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway, yet it’s still close enough to everything you might want to explore. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the outdoor spaces was a highlight. The hosts clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail.
If you’re looking for a place that blends comfort, privacy, and a truly calming environment, this is it. We loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.
- Ekaterina (10/5): Amazing place to stay -

- Schindler (9/5): Beautiful bush cottage away from it all - Lovely location and fantastic hosts. Lovely cottage with loads of natural light Some distance away from shops / restaurants. You will need to drive
- Sharif (10/5): Exceptional - breaky was nice location was spot on nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about Ghost hill road retreat was to like. We were in Moon cottage. Lovely setting location and kept grounds. The price per night was on the high side, but the inclusions in the breakfast setup cheese plater wine cake and chocolate made up for this. The best part about this was the quality of the product and they way it was prepared all there simple and ready to go. All you had to was cook / consume it at your own will. Info book also self explanatory and gave options in the area to see and dine accordingly.
The cabin was warm on arrival quite music playing all set to to just walk in and relax / enjoy.
We had just had a car accident the day before so exactly what we needed sit back relax and switch off. Will be back again.
- Monty (10/5): Exceptional - Avery restful oasis in a lovely part of Blue Mtns We liked the whole package
- Alison (10/5): Perfect weekend. - Such a beautiful cabin for our weekend away. The location was perfect. So many great attractions nearby. The cabin itself was very tidy and so comfortable. So comfortable we didn't want to leave. Owners were very welcoming.
- Rikki-renee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (9/5): Enjoyed the serenity, it was secluded and quiet. - Absolutely loved our stay. The supplies for breakfast were spot on, the area was beautiful especially as it was autumn and the leaves were changing it was a stunning area. Everything we needed was at hand and we especially loved the open fire.
The special treats when we arrived, home made apple cake (which was very delicious) and some fresh Bilpin apples were a winner!!
- Courtney (10/5): Cozy with a touch of rustic luxury - Great accomodation, the little touches of local fresh produce in the fridge and pantry waiting for you on arrival was sweet touch. Not to mention the mood music already turned on as we walked in, very relaxing weekend getaway ☺️
The owners/hosts were very friendly and hospitable while letting you have your privacy.
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hrast (9/5): We enjoyed everything - The breakfast that they provided was great
- Ol’ (10/5): Fabulous. - Ghost Hill Road Retreat: A Review
Greg and Marisa have created, without fear of contradiction, a blissfully peaceful and private environment where one or more people (up to four per cabin) can relax and do pretty much anything they choose. Far enough away from all the other cabins or neighbours and the main entrance and reception area, these idyllic residences are opulent without being presumptuous, comfortable without being annoying, and are completely, I want to say encased, yes that’s the right word, encased by the natural environment. Birds of all types from Kookaburras to wrens and many other besides, all fabulous singers and musicians, bedecked in magnificent plumages, strut their stuff all the hours of daylight.
There’s enough wifi coverage (not a provided service but sufficient for one’s meagre needs in paradise!) and just enough phone coverage for necessities, but blessedly so little as to feel quite pleasantly cut away, if not cut off from, the exigencies of the modern world.
The beds and bedding are of high quality. There’s a well appointed and stocked kitchen. Breakfast provisions are wonderful.
The hosts are not just considerate, they’ve considered everything. Whatever you might need, you’ll find it here.
And not at Carlton-Ritz eye-watering price, either.
We stayed three nights and slept like babies. We ate, drank, read, napped, walked, visited local Bilpin (awesome Apple products, try the Apple pies and cider varieties on offer) and could easily have stayed longer.
Can I recommend this highly enough? Not a chance. It’s as good as I’m saying, and then some. Don’t just take my word, try it for yourself…I promise you’ll be back! Loved it all.
- Donna (10/5): Our stay at Ghost Hill Retreat was relaxing and peaceful. - We loved the location in the bush with a peaceful bush outlook. We loved the privacy. The cheese and bubbles on arrival after a 2 hour drive was just what was needed. The breakfast provided was simply divine! We loved everything about Ghost Hill Retreat. Nothing
- Aby (10/5): I've never stayed somewhere so idyllic. It was just perfect. - Marisa and Greg were lovely. They left breakfast supplies for us, as well as stocking some snacks, juice, tea and coffee supplies, etc.
The property is impeccable and absolutely stunning. It was an incredibly romantic setting. We stayed in the New Moon cabin, which is secluded and quiet, with a double spa bath and a wood fire place.
My partner is from the UK and we only get to see each other twice a year. This was the absolute perfect way to spend his birthday. I didn't like that we had to leave after our stay and come back to reality.
- Kirsty (10/5): A slice of paradise to relax and recharge. - Great location for local attractions as well as being very private and tranquil. Beautifully appointed cabin, loved the fireplace, spa bath and all of the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Delicious complimentary breakfast, cheese plate, dessert and wine all provided. The hosts were very helpful and communicative, a pleasure to deal with. Nothing!

Spare toothbrushes, toothpaste. Very clean. Comfy beds. Friendly but unobtrusive hosts. Provided ingredients for breakfast including GF & vegetarian. The peacefulness and privacy of the location.
