• Allen (10/5): Echt helemaal super geweldig!!!🤩 - Tja, eigenlijk alles wel, maar voornamelijk de supervriendelijke en behulpzame en gastvrije eigenaresse Annick en de mensen die haar helpen, nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt! En dan hebben we nog niet over het geweldige ontbijt, de locatie in hartje Brugge, de inrichting (is helemaal onze smaak😉) en dat onze hond er ook welkom was! Echt heel lastig, maar als we 1 heel klein minpuntje moeten noemen, dan is het dat de kamers op de bovenste verdieping liggen, 2 draaitrappen omhoog. Voor ons geen echt probleem maar voor ouderen en gehandicapten waarschijnlijk wat lastiger.

• Haakon (10/5): Outstanding place for a fabulous stay in Bruges - We were warmly welcomed and well looked after by our hosts, for a short weekend stay. It’s a wonderful property in a great location. Our room was very comfortable, had more space than we expected and a lovely bath. We slept incredibly well and enjoyed an exceptional breakfast! Our stay was pretty much perfect. The room was a little warm, but only since we didn’t want to use the air conditioning.

The exposed beams are original from many hundreds of years ago, giving the room a historic and charming feel. Breakfast was delicious and the dining room elegant. Located right in the city center and yet unbelievably quiet and serene. Incredibly gracious host and lovely breakfast. Loved the large soaking tub!

• Michael (10/5): Wat een fantastische b&b! Absoluut een aanrader! - Alles was fantastisch! De kamer, de gehele uitstraling van de b&b, het ontbijt, de enorme gastvrijheid en service van Annick en de locatie! Echt geweldig en we komen zeker terug! Niets, alles was perfect!
• Anne (9/5): Super! - Ons verblijf hier is super goed bevallen. De kamer is ruim, gezellig en schoon, het ontbijt erg uitgebreid en goed verzorgd, het personeel is super vriendelijk en de locatie midden in de stad is perfect. We zouden hier zeker nog een keer terugkomen! Enige nadeel is dat er geen (staande) douche aanwezig is, enkel een bad. Maar verder alles perfect!

• Guido (9/5): Besser geht es kaum, sehr zu empfehlen - Die Lage der Unterkunft ist phänomenal, besser geht es nicht. Unser Zimmer, war total sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Bad modern und auf dem neuesten Stand. Das Frühstück wurde liebevoll angerichtet und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Also, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
• Albert (10/5): A great place to stay, as long as you can manage the stairs. - The location was perfect. Just a block from the main square, which is basically the center of town. Everything was an easy walk (except the train station, but we knew that). Breakfast was very good. Not necessarily memorable, but a selection of fresh pastries, good coffee, and our choice of an egg dish. Very enjoyable. The room was excellent. Very roomy, and very comfortable. The weather was in the 40's at night, so they had the heat running. The room was a bit warmer than we preferred, but we cracked open the window and the temperature moderated very well. We did not know our room was up 40 stairs on a winding staircase. Fortunately, we traveled pretty light. My wife couldn't handle her suitcase, so I had to make a couple of trips. There was nobody there when we arrived, so if we were not physically capable of taking our bags up those stairs, I'm not sure what we would have done. Most people won't have a problem with this, but those that have significant mobility issues may want to stay elsewhere.

En dan ook nog eens de producten en de huisvest van mijn favoriete beautymwrk Atelier Rebul Niet van toepassing. Alles was perfect!

• Kim (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf in L'histoir d'eclair gehad. - Het was een prachtig pand met smaakvol gerenoveerde kamers die van alle gemakken voorzien was. Het ontbijt was heerlijk Het enige wat ons op viel was dat we zittend in bad moesten douchen.
• vc (10/5): Perfect! - Excellent from start to finish. Clean, cozy and a stones throw from Market Square. Annick was amazing. So friendly and welcoming. Even called me after we left to check I got to the station ok. 100% will be staying again! Couldn't fault anything.
• Neasa (10/5): A Gem to stay in - B&B l'histoire de l'eclair is a must stay. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hosts were so nice and gave us great advice on places to see and eat. The hotel itself is not only very stylish but perfectly located just off the main square. Even with such close proximity to the lively tourist areas it remains peaceful and quiet. Breakfast each morning was delightful, a real treat and joy to come down to each morning. Attention to detail was superb. Lovely honesty bar available in the evening to go to after a day of touring. I will be recommending to family and friends and hope to stay again.

• LUCAS (10/5): Felt at home in Bruges. - The B & B is in an old, but perfectly renovated house in the center Bruges. The rooms (there are only three) are ample, tastefully decorated, spot clean and with all necessary furnishings. They even have a small kitchenette where you can prepare espresso cofee or tee. A varied and delicious breakfast is served by a friendly member of the staff. All in all a recommendable experience.
• Willy (10/5): - De kamer is top. Aan alles gedacht en veel charme. Helaas geen balkon of uitzicht maar dat is in Brugge waarschijnlijk nergens. Voor een goede conditie zorgt de de trap naar boven want de kamers liggen onder het dak.

Likely best B & B I’ve stayed at. I’m in my 60’s and the stairs to the room were steep but this is a reality everywhere in Belgium.

Everything was excellent quality: the bed, bedding, furnishings, toiletries, even the air conditioner. Breakfast was simple and superb quality: sweet freshly squeezed juice, giant croissants, great coffee - even a glass of champagne. Nothing.

Annik, the owner took me down to her cellar where a quay and warehouse are being excavated by archeologists. Nothing. The spiral staircase could be a problem for some.

The breakfast was lovely, the coffee was excellent and the staff very nice. We had pretty heavy bags that we had to carry up the stairs where the rooms are, but that’s on us and I’d still give the location a 10 for everything.

• Megan (10/5): Cosy oasis in the heart of Bruges - The property is so stylishly done - so cosy and was literally the highlight of our time away :) Annicke was so friendly and welcoming. She was very accepting of our request for vegan breakfast which we really appreciated. It’s truly a special place! Bathtub was divine! Nothing!

Breakfast was of the best quality with a good selection; host again on hand. The location was ideal. Literally a stones throw away from the main square, but our stay was not disturbed by noise. We will definitely be going back with family in tow. Bruges was very picturesque. There is nothing that we can think of that we did not like. No changes would have improved our stay; It was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.

Sure you have to manage some stairs but the experience is more than worth it. It made our visit to Bruges just that more memorable.

• Ronda (10/5): I would most definitely recommend this place to everyone! It will not dissappoint. - EVERYTHING! This was one of the most amazing stays at a B&B ever! The owner was so friendly and helpful and super informative about the history of the old trading house and Bruges! The breakfast was fantastic, champagne included! So much attention to detail in every little thing. The check-in process was super easy. We arrived late and got in and to our room with no problem. We stayed in the Noisette room at the top with the loft. The restoration of the original beams from the 1500's is incredible, and the history of this home being a Trading house. The actual "cave" where trade came in and out has been restored! The B&B and Brugges is a beautiful place! Highly recommend! Nothing. Everything was exceptional. Just to let you know, access to the rooms is via a spiral staircase so you will need to carry your luggage. Pack light! :)

• Carl (10/5): Exceptional - A beautifully furnished room and the B&B overall. The hosts were brilliant and welcoming, location was perfect and quiet. Reasonably priced bar with a selection of drinks. Our room (Pistache) didn’t have a shower just a bath although did have a shower head. Really wasn’t a problem in all honesty just a personal preference.
• Feather (10/5): Quaint, lovely and well located - It is a large B&B, but very quaint and has a very homey feel. The place is in the center of the city so you can arrive anywhere quickly via walking. Annick was an amazing host giving us a great many details about the history of Bruges and her B&B. We stayed in the Pistache room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was sizable. If we are able to visit Bruges again, would stay here in a heartbeat. Thank you, Annick! Loved everything.
