Guest Reviews
- Elia (10/5): - It‘s an old building but it surprises with modern architecture.
- Maria (10/5): A quiet stay in a historical village - Fairy tale village. Really good architectural intervention preserving the past and bringing it to life All good
- Laura (9/5): -
- Ott (10/5): - Aussergewöhnliche, sehr stilvolle Unterkunft. Kommen sehr gerne wieder!
- Boris (10/5): An absolute gem! - What a gem and such a pleasant surprise! The room was incredibly cozy, and the hosts were exceptionally welcoming. The mini spa and whirlpool were a fantastic touch and the perfect way to unwind after a full day of sightseeing.
- Maria (10/5): A cozy stay in a restructured historical building nicely designed. Helpful staff - A true home away from home. Cozy, stylish, with a great design and very well thought experience. The fresh bread for breakfast is a great detail! Everything was perfect

- Ashit (8/5): Warm and Charming Space ! - We stayed at this lovely old village house in Gnosca and really felt its warmth and charm. The setting is quiet, full of character, and surrounded by that authentic countryside feeling that makes you slow down and breathe. A beautiful little patch of green comes with the property, perfect for relaxing outdoors. There’s also a fantastic gourmet shop nearby — a real treat if you enjoy good local products.
We used the place just as a stopover, but it’s really meant for taking a break from the hustle and enjoying the calm. Communication with Andy from the property was friendly and helpful, and he provided a very detailed email after booking that’s worth reading carefully, as the website information isn’t fully clear about what’s included. One thing to note: in the larger suite, the bathroom setup is less convenient, as access requires passing by a bed outside the bathroom. This makes it a bit awkward and not the most comfortable arrangement.

- Yanko (6/5): Historic property, unfortunately not too comfortable - Good communication with the host
Charming location
Clearly a lot of effort was put in renovating such an old house Such historic properties come with downsides. It is a very old house and despite being renovated, the floors in the bedrooms were uneven and I felt like sleeping inclined.
There is no privacy being in the suite as it is actually two bedrooms on separate floors connected by the common staircase. Yes, the rooms have doors, but we were a family moving around between the rooms with two kids. I felt quite uncomfortable.
I could hear the neighbors from the mini suite taking a jacuzzi very late at night just under my nose.
- Haysa (9/5): Weekend relax in famiglia - La struttura era esattamente come le foto, molto curata, decorata molto bene e super confortevole.
La cucina equipaggiata perfettamente, colazione super completa, letti confortevoli . Jacuzzi ottima.

- Loek (8/5): -
- Remco (10/5): Inspirerend - Echt super leuk ingericht met mooie spullen. Lekker schoon.

Freundlicher Empfang
Stimmungsvoller Kamin Es hat alles gepasst
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - Really thoughtful space with lots of kitchen necessities and outdoor relaxing spots. In a quaint little village and very quiet. Wonderful waterfall hike nearby. This would be amazing with a group of friends as you could share the home. Friendly neighbors and nice pizzeria within walking distance. Would have loved to stay longer. It was a really tight space especially in the bathroom, so if you have mobility issues this is likely not the space for you. Or if you don't enjoy sharing a kitchen space with strangers.
- Patrick (9/5): Uniquely wonderful place to stay, with an excellent host! - What an uniquely wonderful place to stay. It's like you're staying in a historical a-listed building, but with semi-modern comforts. We loved the facilities, including the mini-spa with hot tub and mini sauna. Some rooms, in particular the toilet upstairs had amazing views. A little walk through the quaint village reveals a lovely Church, a couple of restaurants and a water fall all in close proximity. The village folks were very friendly and we made a new friend in Luca at the Pizzaria a street down :) Your host will be very responsive and supportive - Thanks Andy! There is very little to complain about, if I was being hyper critical the only thing I'd say is that for me too many things, after paying a lot of money, came as additional extras e.g. the use of the bathrobes and slippers, which pushed the value for money a bit over the houses star rating potential. The insulation of the Sauna can be improved as the door albeit very authentic, has to many gaps and lets cold into the sauna... but again, this is hyper critical suggestions.
- Davide (10/5): Amazing stay - Fully furnished and great breakfast
- Gregor (8/5): Very good -
- Olga (9/5): Unique rustic house with mini-spa - Amazing atmosphere; beautiful location!
Cozy and unique.
Very clean & smart. Super friendly host.
Mini-spa 😁👍 2nd floor bedroom - mattress needs to be replaced; U-shape, super soft 😔
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mingam (10/5): Very beautiful and quiet place. - The decoration was super beautiful. The village is nice and quiet. The waterfall was welcome after our hike and then we enjoyed the jacuzzi! The kitchen is perfectly equipped. We were able to get some nice typical food from the caterer in the village and enjoy a nice dinner « at home ». I warmly recommend this place.
- Toine (8/5): Very good - Nice design and clean We did not know fresh bread was delivered in a bag on the front door. We missed some cheese and meats for breakfast
- Paula (8/5): Very good - super private location. very unique. the building itself has a lot of personality. great contrast between architecture and interior design. bed and pillows weren’t too comfy. the heating system was very noisy. toilet very very small.
- Romain (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joshua (9/5): A very beautiful and unique place to stay - The room we stayed in was so beautiful! The aesthetic gave a historical flare. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen upstairs was well stocked. Parking was easy. Windows open, but had irons bars so it still felt very secure. We loved how spacious everything was and wish we could have stayed longer. It was a very romantic and beautiful home. Unfortunately (and this is not the host's fault) we found a large scorpion in our room when we arrived. It had just rained and apparently scorpions quickly look for shelter in the rain. Since our room was on the ground floor it was an easy place for it to hide. We couldn't get it out because it crawled in-between the bathroom wall and outside wall. We were a bit spooked by it, and didn't sleep well that night. So I'd recommend a high floor. (we had no idea Switzerland has scorpions)
The shower is very tiny to have a shower curtain. Because of the intense water pressure, there was a draft that pulled the curtain and it kept sticking to me. I left it open because it was annoying, but the floor got soaked.
- Serena (6/5): My stay is not bad but just not worth it. - The location of the property is quiet. It is an old house renovated to let guests experience rural life. The bed is comfortable. They provide good brand toiletries. Breakfast is included, they have juices and eggs and bread ready in the kitchen. The house is not bad, but just not worth the money.
I booked the house because it has a spa and a whirling pool. They sent me a long instructions email which I did not read in detail at the time. You have to request them at least 12 hours in advance to ask them to fill up the water; and you have to pay extra, which I think they should have said before I book it. I think they charge an extra CHF30, not a huge sum, but I booked the house for CHF630 a night (HKD5110). I think they simply should have prepared it at no charge.
It says there will be fresh bread delivered in the morning. But there is none. There are breakfast prepared already in the kitchen though.
The toilets are dark and small, no light in the shower area. The door entry with high metal curb is easy to hurt the feet.
The house is not clean. I understand it is a big house, but I wouldn't expect spider web at the light switch. The air at the dining room at the lowest floor smells still and humid, there are some dust on the sittng mat. We did not use it at all.
The bedsheets and towels are fresh.
The kitchen are well equipped but maybe too much stuff. Some have stains and it is very cluttered.
There is more than one light is broken. Especially the entrance light is broken so it makes it very dark when we first arrived with luggage. Given that the house is not easy to find, it is not a pleasant welcome at all. It is lucky there is a kind neighbor help us to locate the house. And it is not easy to push up suitcases on a ramp from the parking place.
- Ivan_sokolov_75 (9/5): stopover on the way from Italy - two good Italian restaurants in the village.
