Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (10/5): -
- Marie_Canada (6/5): Looking forward to never returning here - The owners appear to be a husband and wife duo. The wife and her family that was visiting were lovely people-- friendly, helpful, outgoing. They almost managed to balance the awfulness of the husband. The shower takes over 5 minutes to warm up in the morning. Hot water lasts under 15 minutes, so if you have 2 people needing a shower one after the other, you'll need to keep it short.
No locks on the doors. I asked why, they said tourists were not returning the keys. They also said someone is always home. I guess they've never heard of copying keys, or charging a deposit for keys.
The husband was the polar opposite of his wife and her family. I've never felt so uncomfortable dealing with anyone in tourism as I did with this man. He was irritable, impolite, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. I've lived in 3 separate intentional communities and many co-living spaces, and this is the kind of person that destroys the vibe. For example, we arrived during our arrival window, and the owners were finishing up lunch. We stood outside the door ringing the bell for several minutes. The husband was irritated from the moment we arrived, and took a surprisingly long time to check us in. He became upset during the process, and after 15-25 minutes without any sign of progress, I asked if we could just go to our room. He said no; I think he had been trying to recalculate the price for the room, because he complained to us that the price we received on booking was much, much lower than they normally charge, by 10-20k CLP or so. It was such a strange experience.
It also did not appear that they had any other guests at the time. It also didn't feel like a co-living arrangement besides the fact they said we could use the kitchen. Given that the husband and wife and family were eating at the kitchen counter, and how alienating the husband made us feel, we wanted to stay away from the only indoor common area.

- Alexandre (10/5): - Atendimento
- Vincenzo (6/5): -
- Petra (10/5): - The place is very cozy and I loved the fluffy beds!
- Genesis (10/5): -
- Giovanni (6/5): A place to stay one night for changing buses - The internal patio was good
The room was nice and clean, as were the bathrooms You need to ring every time you need to enter, and sometimes you need to wait outside for some time
The atmosphere was not the best
The kitchen is shared with the owners who live in the house, so I didn't feel completely comfortable using stuff and was not really clear what was for the hosts and what was owners only
There is an extra fee to leave the backpack the day of the checkout, and they pretend that you have cash and small size, the way they handled this was pretty annoying
- Andrzej (9/5): Superb -
- Gabriel (10/5): Good cozy place, would have stayed longer if I could - Great place, the staff is really nice and welcoming.
The rooms and facilities are clean
The beds are comfy
The place has personality and charm The turtle doesn't speak much
- Karol (10/5): Great hosts and vibe - The hosts are really friendly and kind. I arrived late due to delays at the border and they were very accommodating also giving me some of their barbecued steak.
The location is excellent, only 15 minutes walk from the bus station and centre of town.
I needed laundry completed before departing and it was done in extra quick time.
The beds are very comfortable.
It has a cool vibe. Nothing
- Massimo (9/5): Be ready for a surprise experience; not to miss. - The Lady and her partner are wondeful people with an inspiring lifestile; you'd always whised you meet. Facilites need a better maintenance.
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful vibe, friendly hosts, spacious rooms. Rock it!
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best hostels I've been to for the vibe, the hosts and the place itself! Would recommend to anyone who's passing by Osorno or is willing to stay longer. Thanks again for everything guys!
- Luis (10/5): My best stay in Chile - Everything. Friendly staff, excellent human experience and excellent facilities. Having to leave :D
- Mark (9/5): Kick back and relax - Hosts relaxed easy going, helpfull,
not in your face helpfull ,
you have your own space and if you want to reach out for help they're are there to help
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Andrés (10/5): Exceptional - The location is so convenient, the place is nice and the staff is so nice.
- Alberto (10/5): Cris and Sol are super nice, they let me feel at home. Super recommended it :) - Clean, well located.
- Rosie (7/5): Good - The hosts are kind and very welcoming. They try to include you in the house, invite you to games, share about some of the history of the area.
The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, though the room gets pretty cold in the morning and afternoon (the heating is only turned on in the evening). We had some communication issues with regard to checking in. I arrived at the hostel at 2:30pm and there was nobody there. After managing to find their WhatsApp number I was able to get in contact with them, and they told me that nobody was home because they had all gone out, and I'd have to come back later to check in. (Lucky also that I had mobile data on my phone, otherwise I would have been really stranded)
In the end, I waited until 5pm to get inside and drop my bags off. A later check-in wouldn't have been an issue if I had received some prior communication but the lack of notice was a huge inconvenience -- this first interaction with the hostel was extremely disappointing.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - I only stayed for a night, arriving in the evening and leaving early the next morning, so I didn't get to utilise the facilities really, but the staff and vibe was really good. And the communal kitchen area seemed really accessible for use. If you want a nice hostel social environment where you can cook and share food, then this seems like a good place. Nothing
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): AMAZING, great job Sol, Chris and Jose. - We loved it here. Homemade bread and jam for breakfast, caring hosts, lovely garden area, composting, a turtle, quiet neighborhood. Would recommend to anyone,
- Federico (10/5): Great, fun and confortable place! You can work too! - The owners, Sol, Cris and Jose are great people who make you feel really at home. Fun nights playing all sorts of games. The place has very good beds & bathrooms, and it has a cowork too, so its suited for digital nomads like myself.
- Peroun (10/5): Exceptional - Very family like ambience ... I enjoyed my stay a lot, would recommend that place to anyone at any time 😊 I will be back there 🤗👍🏻
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - Good Location, Restaurants nearby. The Owners were awesome. The door to the room didn't lock, some adjustment was needed for it to close properly.
- Aidan (10/5): This hostel was wonderful! I felt so at home -
- Mayr (8/5): Kind of expensive for what you get, on the other hand is a cozy nice place to stay. - Staff is very friendly and a nice cozy house. Common areas I 'll say are not quite clean though are acceptable.
- Emile (10/5): Exceptional - A very good hostel. The owners are very hospitable and friendly.
- Nicolas (10/5): Awesome - Warm beds, warm welcome . Good spot for staying at osorno. Open spaces . Rockstar Experience all around
- Benedict (8/5): Fine place to stay in Osorno - Helpful staff, big courtyard garden, quiet neighborhood, free coffee Construction work which resulted in some facilities closed. But just during the week when I stayed, by now it should be fine again
- Aarne (10/5): Nice stay here - Central location
Very Friendly staff (bar evening + city walk on check out day)
Comfortable check out time at noon instead of the 10am common of many places
Breakfast was nice (reasonably priced extra cost) It took a long time for the cold water to become hot in the bathroom
- Lisa (10/5): Highly recommended! - We were able to check in a few hours earlier. Soo made us a tea, showed us the town, gave us recommendations for the area. For little money you can get dinner that they cook freshly. The breakfast was just delicious - with fresh self-baked bread.
Loved their art around the house, the patio, the living room with their turtle Torto, the big kitchen where we had endless talks with Sol, Chris and Simon.
- Paul (10/5): A night in Osorno's friendliest hostel. - Great hosts, muchas gracias Cris and Sol.
- Ivan (9/5): Superb - Lovely hospitality, it was a pleasure to stay there, the staff/owners are very friendly, clean room and bath, good breakfast with homemade bread.
Thank you guys!
