Das Frühstück war super und alles war frisch zubereitet. Tee und Cafe steht zur Verfügung, zum selber machen. Mit Pierre zu reden war sehr informativ und interessant. Ein Wasserfilter ist in der Küche vorhanden. Dies macht das Wasser zu feinem Trinkwasser.

• Jennifer (10/5): Amazing experience - Everything. This has to be one of my favourite places to stay. The hospitality shown by Pierre and his mum was amazing. We felt much more like friends than guests. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We were even given another bedroom free of charge and Pierre gave my son a lift to a local museum. They really are fabulous people. I loved the decor and position it is tremendous value for money. Nothing. What's not to like

Facilité d'accéder à l'établissement. Propreté générale. Il semble manquer un rafraîchissement des décorations murales. Ça s'appelle «L'Auberge des arts» et est situé à un coin de rue du Musée des beaux-arts du Canada, on pourrait s'attendre à un plus grand nombre de reproductions de tableaux, sculptures, affiches d'expositions ou concerts passés, mais aussi en cours ou à venir. Cela se corrige facilement toutefois, et notre hôte semble au fait de la vie culturelle générale de la ville qui l'a vue naître.

• Steven (10/5): Exceptional! - This was possibly the best B&B I've had the pleasure to stay at anywhere in the world, and I say that as a frequent traveller. I enjoyed 4 nights in a spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, warm ground-floor room. The property itself feels like a genuine family home. Its shared bathroom was immaculate. The location is superb, with almost all the city's major sights along with countless restaurants within easy walking distance. WiFi was good and reliable throughout. But what really makes this place stand out is the simple quality and hospitality at breakfast. Pierre is a wonderful host: charming, gracious, open, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and an excellent maker of little fruit salads, omelettes and crepes (those being my personal favourites, but more was on offer). We could easily chat for hours. And he even provides bowls of complimentary fruits and chocolates for guests. Perfect! Obviously it doesn't claim to be a 5-star hotel but if like me you're happy with clean, simple, honest, good quality hospitality in a central location, then it's a struggle to find anything not to like.

Pierre and Chantal were exceptionally hospitable and truly cared to make my stay as amazing as possible! Honestly could not have found a better place to stay. I will absolutely be back :)

The company provided by Pierre was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t like sharing a bathroom, but it’s a b&b in a lovely house in Downtown Ottawa so it’s not a problem, it’s just the territory.
• Penelope (9/5): A unique and human option close to the National Gallery - Great location, parking, unique funky place. Very helpful and attentive host. Breakfast was good and made to order. The bed has sheets and comforter - like every place. I would appreciate the option of a thin blanket. Those comforters don’t breathe. At least it had sheets instead of just a duvet cover. I wish there was a lamp on my side of the bed. Also, I didn’t notice that there was no free cancellation until it was too late. My mistake: I never make a booking without free cancellation. As it turned out, I wish I could have cancelled because we were invited to stay with family, and couldn’t accept it.

He told me all sorts of interesting things about Ottawa, history as well as orientation to where I needed to go. I used the dining area and left luggage in the B&B after check-out. He drove me to the airport after my meetings were done. Highly recommended.

The place locates right in the heart of the downtown of Ottawa, the room and house are very cozy and clean and Pierre is an incredible host: he took time to chat with guests, made individual breakfasts to all guests every morning, made sure everything was alright and also gave tips to what to see and how to operate wisely in Ottawa. • Deb (10/5): Auberge des Arts is a family run bed-and breakfast at a great location in Ottawa - The Auberge is ideally located on a quiet street close to the ByWard Market, the National Gallery and Notre Dame Basilica. There are plenty of eateries and shops nearby, although the Auberge breakfast is freshly made and superb. Pierre, the host, always looked out for his guests and is eager to help them have the best experience in the capitol. The sign on the front lawn and the twinkling Christmas lights made the Auberge des Arts easy to find day and night. The Auberge is an older home and should be approached with this in mind. It has living area rooms nicely converted into bedrooms with lots of vintage furniture. Some may find this not quite what they anticipated; I found it homey and welcoming.

Chantal warmly welcomed us upon check-in, told us about local attractions, delicious restaurants, and even marked everything on a map. And Pierre made delicious breakfasts with a great choice! We were very comfortable, clean, and the location was perfect. Although we were only there for one night, we are impressed and would love to return here again! For the price and service we received, there are practically no downsides. The only thing was that the building and furniture were a bit vintage and old, although they looked very well-maintained and in good condition, and this didn't cause us any discomfort.

• Etienne (10/5): Simple et humble mais enthousiasme; accueil au top et localisation idéale. - Intrigué de ne voir que des louanges dans les commentaires des nombreux voyageurs précédents; même sans salle de bain particulière nous avons voulu essayer, ce qui n’est pas notre habitude. La faculté de Pierre de s’adapter à tous ses visiteurs est en fait incroyable: on est accueilli, conseillé, et pour le petit déjeuner Pierre devient le chef cuisinier qui va vous ravir en préparant dans la cuisine adjacente ce qui est convenu au préalable ensemble. Le temps d’échanges avec les autres voyageurs de tous horizons. Pas de salle de bain personnelle mais cela devient bien peu de chose au regard de tout le reste.

• Seiichi (9/5): I would love to stay in this B&B again. - Located in the central part of Ottawa. In a walking distance to National Gallery of Ontario, ByWard Market District, Parliament HIll, City Hall, National Arts Centre, embassies of various countries, and more. The operator of this B&B is extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen cupboard and the fridge was full of snacks and drinks which the guests are encouraged to help themselves. Bathroom is a kind of basic, but kept very clean without any odor. Towels were freshly washed and neatly piled up. I was very happy to stay at this wonderful B&B - nothing to complain. What I didn't like is nothing to do with this venue. It is about transportation the City of Ottawa provides. Their bus routes are limited and the bus does not run frequently. Only one bus route exists near this B&B and it runs every half an hour. There is one subway line, a nearest station of which is located about ten minutes away from this B&B.

Seine sehr sympathische Art und die interessante Einrichtung der Unterkunft werden uns auf jeden Fall im Gedächtnis bleiben. Er hat uns sehr ausführlich die Umgebung der Unterkunft erklärt und uns Ausflugstipps für den Tag unserer Abreise empfohlen, die sich unserer Meinung absolut gelohnt haben. Highlight war dann das Frühstück, welches er mit seiner charmanten Art und Weise zubereitet und sich dann noch lange mit uns am Küchentisch unterhalten hat. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist zudem sehr gut, wir konnten alle unsere Ziele in Ottawa zu Fuß erreichen und die Umgebung war sehr ruhig, sodass wir sehr gut geschlafen haben. Unser Auto konnten wir unkompliziert neben der Unterkunft abstellen.

• Fabricio Sander (10/5): - Tudo perfeito! Quarto espacoso, cama confortavel, banheiro muito bom. Anfitriao muito simpatico e gente boa, conversamos muito de varios assuntos. Cafe da manhá é absurdamente bom, com frutas, omelete, panquecas, cafe, torrada, nutella e ele te oferece mais até voce sair cheio hehe. Localização imbativel, muito central mesmo, e dá pra fazer tudo a pé. Tem estacionamento no local. Responde muito rapido as mensagens. Nada.

• Jana (10/5): - This bed and breakfast is in an excellent location- walking distance to the waterfront and byward market as well as other city attractions. It is located on a quiet street so we were also able to get a good night's sleep on our trip. The host is very kind and accommodating and makes an effort to ensure you have a good stay. The breakfast is very tasty and generous and the home is cozy to stay in. Highly recommend for a pleasant and affordable stay in Ottawa.
• Hoeil (10/5): 강추 - 친절함 목욜은 미술관이 저녁 5시 이후 무룔고 알려줘서 다녀오고 리도폭포 좋다고 꼭 가보라고 해서 걸어갔다옴 주차를 무료 할 수 있어서 얼리체크인하고 시내를 걸어서 다녀옴 아침 식사는 참 좋았음 특히 커피가 맛있었고 오물렛도 맛났음 그닥 없음
• Stefanie (10/5): Best B&B in Ottawa - Pierre is a very friendly and funny host! After we arrived, he showed us the house and explained to us what's worth seeing in the city. This warm welcome felt like we arrived at a friend's house! Unfortunately we left too early for breakfast but Pierre was so kind, he prepared a fruit salad for our trip back. We can highly recommend his B&B!
• Emmanuelle (10/5): Accueil chaleureux une superbe adresse - L'accueil chaleureux de Pierre et Chantal. Leurs conseils de visites , de restaurants...tellement agréable de pouvoir discuter avec eux chaque jour. Je me suis sentie comme chez des amis , voyageant seule ces moments sont précieux! .l'emplacement est vraiment idéal proche de tout même sans voiture. Un lieu à ne pas manquer en venant à Ottawa! Encore merci à Pierre qui m'a conduit à mon bus le matin!
