Guest Reviews
- Peter (8/5): Good value for a nice well equipped cottage in a great location - I liked location and beautiful garden Easy parking Well equipped. And good a/c as it was cold weather when we were there Smart Tv The bed was too hard for me and unit wasn’t completely sound proof
- Rod (9/5): - Great breakfast products.
- Gary (9/5): -
- Ann (9/5): -
- Lenny (9/5): Heerlijk! - De cottage ligt aan de rand van Tanunda. Het is er heerlijk rustig. De cottage is gezellig en aan alles is is gedacht. .
- Maria (9/5): Lovely cottage in the heart of Barossa wine region. - Traditional cottage style duplex with modern comfort and clean interior at good location away from traffic noise .
- Geoff (6/5): - Beautiful cottage. Perfect for a couple. Right on the edge of town, close to some great wineries. Very loud pipe noises every time the neighbouring cottage turned on their taps. My partner and I also found we had several bug bites after sleeping here for three nights.
- Diane (9/5): - Great location; owners had thought of everything.
The cottage was very comfortable.
- Tanya (10/5): Warm, cozy and inviting cottage. - The location was fabulous, a short 8 min walk to langmeil winery cellar door. A 5 minute drive to the Tanunda Main Street.
The cottage was beautifully presented and thoughtfully stocked including breakfast cereal, juice, milk and even a bottle of wine. The cottage was kept warm and cozy with a reverse cycle heater. The bathroom was well equipped with a hair dryer and extra towels. This is the perfect spot to enjoy the Barossa region. I’d love to return. Absolutely nothing!
- Celine (8/5): Perfect position in á pretty property perfectly set up - Property is located in a beautiful part of Tanunda and is very well presented, thoughtfully set up, and very well maintained. Not applicable!
- Christine (9/5): A beautiful, restful little spot to stay and enjoy the Barossa - A beautiful stone cottage with all the facilities you need. We were on bikes and the laundry facilities were great for us. Lovely morning sun in the bedroom with a comfy bed, opening onto a private patio. Great for morning cup of tea in bed!
Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful garden setting - nice to have other travellers around to say hello but everyone respected privacy.
The owners were fabulous, great communication and very helpful when needed but also non intrusive. Just a lovely spot to stay and enjoy the Barossa! We stayed in the cottage under the big tree which would be fantastic in the heat of summer but we found it a little cool to sit outside there in early autumn, while the other cottages were still in sun. We took our chairs over to the little garden by the cart and had a lovely glass of wine in the sun there..maybe a permanent little seating area there would be a good asset?
- Graham (10/5): This delightful cottage, set in lovely grounds is comfortable and equipped with everything you need. We would certainly - The property was set in a lovely garden and it was most enjoyable relaxing outside of an evening. The area was quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the cottage clean. We really appreciated the start up provisions. The switch for the bed lights was located behind the fixed bed head and very hard to reach to switch off, especially when in bed.
- David (10/5): - Every thing Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Cynthia (10/5): - Loved the look of the cottage, nice seating outside N/A
- Jayne (8/5): Lovely time had in the Barossa, in cosy accomodation. - The cottage was clean and beds were very comfortable. In an excellent location as well with laundry facilities. The oven was not working properly, I think only 1 element worked and it was tricky to open its door.
- Phillip (10/5): -
- Leanne (3/5): Cosy and private, great faculties, would recommend to friends and family - Good facilities and location, clean and tidy Shower water pressure bit low for my liking, but otherwise perfect property
- Julian (8/5): Lovely cottage in an excellent location for exploring the area. Tanunda village has great food…& there’s all the win - Clean & cosy. There was also complementary bottle of wine… it is the Barossa after all. A washing machine would be handy.
Otherwise - everything else was great.
- Jan (10/5): - Charming well, appointed and comfortable All good
- Cameron (10/5): -
- Leonie (9/5): This is our second year staying at the Langmeil Cottages & the lovely gardens & cleanliness of the cottage has g - Cleanliness & all guest amenities & complimentary food/wine was well considered. Nothing to report
- Emily (10/5): Beautiful spot and fantastic units! - Beautiful spot! Units were very well maintained and cleaned. The units are fitted out very nicely with good quality items. Everything needed. Beds are comfy. Towels are great. A few breakky supplies to kick us off. Area nice and quiet but close to Main Street. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again! Nothing
- Declan (10/5): - The extra provisions were so thoughtful, and the cottage was amazingly cosy
- Darrin (8/5): Neat and tidy, great location, little bit too easy to hear neighbour's. - Clean, great location. Noise. Bathroom exhaust fan sounded like it would self destruct. Could hear neighbour's through wall too easily. Blinds down bit with windows open would bang on the timber rail....
- Robert (10/5): -
- Alan (7/5): A pleasant location possibly a bit overpriced - Mediocre The name change on the cottages
- Rosie (8/5): -
- Marian (8/5): Nice place, worth visiting! -
- Gayle (9/5): Had a lovely stay at Langmeil Cottages, highly recommend! - Amazing location near the heart of Tanunda
- Harvey (10/5): Lovely - Just delightful. Facilities Teriffic. Well designed. Well catered. Recommended.
- Jasmine (8/5): Great place to stay. Would definitely stay again. - Enjoyed the close proximity to town. Staff were very accommodating. No aircon in bedroom and no fans in the whole property. Was hard to get cool air to the bedrooms.
At times we had very noisy neighbours as the apartments and as wall were connected, the noise traveled.
- Chris (8/5): Great location to celebrate my 60th Birthday with friends - Quiet location about 20mins easy walk from town. Well furnished and had everything we needed. Provided breakfast and wine were a bonus. Linda ? (the cleaner) was friendly and helpful. Walking distance to wine tasting.
- Jennifer (9/5): Central to towns in the Barossa and within easy walk to Tanunda’s Main Street for great eating and shopping - Great location with attractive gardens and off street parking. Nil
- Jane (9/5): Good location, clean, well equipped cottages, would recommend - Good location, well equipped cottages and very clean. Tania worked tirelessly whilst we were there to prepare for other guests as others beforehand had checked out late. Everything was great
- Jane (9/5): Great cottages for a couple of nights. Especially good if you have a group gathering. - Good location, well equipped and very clean thanks to the services of the lovely Tania.
- Michel (8/5): Lovely , comfortable and quiet - Location was quiet and lovely. A 2 minute drive to the centre of town. Beautiful part of the town just near the gorgeous Langmeil winery. Nice touch leaving us a bottle of red thank you
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Urs (10/5): Top notch comfy cottage in Tanunda. Ideal for visiting Barossa wineries and the valley. - Very nice and well equipped cottage in Tanunda. Very spacious and comfortable. Top bed and kitchen. Nice welcome bottle of wine and a fridge with all you need for your breakfast. First class service from the landlord. A superclear 10/10 accommodation awaits you! Nothing could be better
- Kim (10/5): -
- ROXANNE (9/5): Most enjoyable!!! - Little touches were much appreciated
Lovely big thick towels
Provisions Nothing
- Ayliffe (9/5): -
- Pamela (9/5): A most pleasant stay. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. - The interior was very homely and nicely furnished: Bed was comfortable and rain shower was very good. Just a minor thing. Small assorted boxes of cereal would have been preferred to large box of cornflakes.
- Brooke (8/5): Thanks for a great getaway in the Barossa with everything u need - Location, cleanliness and good facilities. Easy process to get the keys The bed was not comfortable as the mattress was too soft and moved a lot when u did.
- Pauline (7/5): Would stay again. Tanunda is such a beautiful town. - Being supplied with breakfast was a nice touch. The cottage was clean and tidy and in a beautiful setting with bird song all day. We would stay again. Even though there was a laundry provided, no dryer was available. The washing line was two lines which was totally inadequate for our needs. We had to use the clothes airer which took up room in the cottage. Unfortunately, the reverse cycle air conditioner only worked on cooling. Even though we were supplied with 2 small heaters it wasn't really sufficient to keep warm and dry clothes. However, the owner was prompt with reply messages. Also left us an extra bottle of wine.
- Scheepers (10/5): Recommended -
- Dennis (5/5): Very disappointing and not good value for money - Ckean neat tidy well equipped kitchen Bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable and the lounge was not comfortable as well. The attached cottage residents were noisy. We cut our stay short and went home a day earlier.
- Sugnet (9/5): Really beautiful getaway, loved the cottage and the gardens - Well presented. Spacious. All the kitchen utensils you require on a short getaway. Comfortable and cosy for fresh spring evenings and mornings The branches over Standish cottage need to be trimmed back extensively as the seeds fall onto the tin roof throughout the night, resulting in 4 nights of interrupted sleep. The noise is the same as hail stones on a tin roof.
The shower temperature is impossible to moderate- it’s either scaling hot or cold - something not quite right with the tap regulator
- Sheryl (9/5): Highly recommend Langmeil Cottages. - Lovely cosy little cottage in Tanunda. Clean, tidy, terrific location for all on offer in the Barossa. Great communication with the owner who kept us informed of last minute changes. There was nothing negative to say about Langmeil Cottages.
- Harry (9/5): - Quiet setting.
Short walk to Langmail cellar door Very uneven paths from the car park to the cottages
- Norman (9/5): -
- Matthew (9/5): Wonderful four days - Well equipped, clean and spacious cottage. Nothing
- Hankel (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay. - It’s a beautiful little cottage in a great location.
- Janice (10/5): -
- Olivia (10/5): -
- Trevor (9/5): - Clean.
Good heating. Comfy bed. Quiet spot. Breakfast supplies very basic.
Some fruit and yoghurt would be good additions.
- Amy (10/5): -
- Mackman (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at the well appointed cottages. We will come again! - Great location and all the ammenities we needed.
Comfortable bed. Super soft towels and abundant hot water. Not enough tea bags for a two day stay.
- Anna (7/5): A beautiful stay close to everything - A lovely rustic cottage. The wine and food items were perfect. If you come in winter and are from a more northern state bring an extra pair of socks. It was a little cool indoors
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Tracey (9/5): Superb - The breakfast supplies and bottle of wine was a lovely surprise.
The washing machine was also appreciated.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): This cottage has all the comforts and more. A great find in an amazing location. - A full kitchen should you need it and a variety of breakfast choices. The bathroom had plenty of extras. Electric blankets were a bonus! Off street parking. The communication was fantastic. We will be back.
- Judy (9/5): short break - lovely neat cottage
facilities good not enough normal tea bags
- Geoff (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, excellent facilities. Nil
- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Only a short overnight stay. Very clean and comfortable Would definately revisit.
- Sue (8/5): Excellent property, close to tanunda. - Cute cottage well appointed The stove
- Steaz (10/5): Great Cottages, beautiful gardens - Wonderful Cottages. Bed was outstandingly comfortable
- Peter (7/5): Good - Location was excellent. Recent change of ownership and the breakfast supplies didn't meet earlier reviews (eg no bread supplied to go with spreads). Up-to-date tourist info and wine books appreciated. Water seeped from the shower into the bathroom. Bed was low and just OK
- Steaz (10/5): Great Cottages, Bed was like sleeping on a cloud. - Bed was outstandingly comfortable, had an amazing sleep.
- Denise (7/5): Good for a short stay, centrally located walking distance to a couple of wineries. - Individual packets of cereals, small long life milks tea bags coffee and other essentials for the stay were provided, plus a complimentary bottle of wine. A nice touch to welcome you to the region. Cottages could do with a bit of an upgrade, windows frames and sills require cleaning and restaining.
- Ford (8/5): Enjoyed our break in the Barossa. - Location was very accessible to many of the Barossa attractions. Whilst the property was clean and well set up the decor was a little dated.
- Howard (9/5): Barossa Charm, the perfect place to stay - Langmeil cottages was the perfect place for our Barossa stay. The room was in a good location close to town but not too close. The cottage itself was beautiful and full of country charm. The rooms were very clean and had everything we could want. The property has a laundry which came in handy. The aircon was also a blessing as it was 45 degrees !. Thanks for providing bikes, they are in great condition and we were able to ride to a couple of nearby wineries, Peter Lehmann and Langmeil Wines. Overall our stay here was perfect, we would definitely stay here again.
- Teresa (10/5): Wonderful place, with wonderful people. We will come back for sure! -
- Tyler (8/5): Very good -
- Leeanne (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very nice - Very pleasant comfortable well appointed unit Path to the unit,we are not as mobile as we used to be
- Leonie (8/5): Great location in a very clean unit. All facilities including the air conditioning unit, TV (with Netflix), microwave wo - Location was excellent & was a lovely area to walk Occasionally could hear the people on the adjoining property which was to be expected.
- Penny (8/5): Very good -
- Bronwen (10/5): Exceptional - Great self contained cottage in a convenient spot.
- Jacqueline (8/5): A lovely simple little cottage. - Beautiful garden Poor access with uneven path and lots of ants.
- Nick (8/5): Very good - Nice place to base camp for a few days. Nothing
- Andrew (8/5): Lovely accommodation really enjoyed it's central location - Relaxed central to lots of barossa sites Two tiny issues The lack of one good sized knife for cutting bread in the kitchen and maybe a slightly larger cutting board in the my only negative really otherwise very good facilities
- Jules (10/5): Cosy and comfortable.Great location. - Lovely comfortable and cosy accommodation.Excellent location to explore the Barossa.Breakfast goodies a nice and welcome bonus. Nothing
- Aistrope (10/5): Quiet, very well appointed 1 bedroom unit with provisions to cook if you wish - highly recommend. - We opted for a bottle of wine rather than the breakfast inclusion and was very happy with the quality of the wine. There were many lovely little touches provided by the host and the room was exceptionally clean and exceeded our expectations. Shower pressure was amazing, aircon, allowed smoking outdoors. We stayed in The Hoffman room and had a choice of two outdoor areas to sit overlooking the garden area. The 1-bedroom unit was well appointed and very comfortable. We originally chose the accommodation as we were attending A Day on The Green which was walking distance to concert and were very pleasantly surprised with the quietness, access to wineries and restaurants. Highly recommend. Nothing
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mick (9/5): Loved it - Lively garden, very quiet excellent facilities Limited parking
- Zoe (9/5): Superb -
- Kerry (8/5): Nice cottage quiet street - Location. Cleanliness Air conditioner noisy and in living area. Could use fans when hot
- Peter (7/5): Locality handy to Tanundra , peaceful villa - Location , history of buildings , good fridge and kitchen They said they had a spa pool and this wasn’t working also no key left out for us and we were frantically trying to get hold of owner
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- Lancashirelass (8/5): A weekend in Barossa - Convenient location away from main street, so quiet. Off street parking with small outdoor area. Woke in the morning to the sound of chirriping birds. The mattress was way too saggy and difficult to get out of.
- Tracey (7/5): Good -
- Tereena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (8/5): It was a nice stay in the middle of Barossa - Our units were very comfortable , clean and in good location The A/C units were a little noisy, need an upgrade
- Mike (5/5): Passable -
- Quaife (8/5): A lovely cottage in a great location - The cottage was in a great location, in walking distance to town and close to the wineries. Having access to the free bikes was fabulous for getting around. We loved the fresh bread, condiments, cereals, crackers, and wine provided. The cottage was exceptionally clean, had a comfy bed with electric blanket and beautiful gardens. The spa was not available/working during our stay and every morning we were woken by the guests next door. They weren't being particularly noisy but we could hear their conversation and tv very clearly so there's not much of a noise buffer as they cottages share a wall. The couch could also do with replacing - it seems very tired and was pretty uncomfortable. We also couldn't locate an iron and the vanity in the bathroom is very narrow so difficult to place any toiletry items - it could do with a shelf to help with this.
- Clinton (9/5): Lovely place to stay. Everything was good. Gardens beautiful… - Location was great. Very tidy gardens surrounding the unit. Stone walls made it uniqueCan’t fault. Nothing
