- Susan (9/5): - Well equipped and beautiful design We had trouble finding the property because the last sign was not immediately obvious from the road. It would be helpful if the sign was on Tapanappa Road.
- Peter (10/5): Ein behagliches Cottage an einem außergewöhnlichen Standort zum Genießen der Natur. - Das Southern Ocean Retreat Cottage Nr. 2 bietet optimale Rahmenbedingungen um Ruhe zu finden und die Schönheit der Fleurieu Peninsula und insbesondere des Deep Creek National Parks zu genießen. Wir haben 5 Nächte in diesem herrlichen Cottage verbracht. Das Cottage ist mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und die Betten bequem. Wir haben unerwartet kalte Temperaturen gehabt und konnten von daher die Gemütlichkeit des Kamins genießen. Ein schnelles Aufheizen ermöglicht aber auch die Klimaanlage und die Betten sind mit Heizdecken ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit den Besitzern Jane und Barry klappte hervorragend und war sehr informativ.

- Murray (9/5): A wonderful nook in a beautiful location, birds at your door while the kettle gently whistles. - Fantastic setting, beautiful aesthetic and great facilities. Loved the fireplace and outdoor setting too. Happy no TV but wifi would have been very helpful, one of the beds was a little too soft. The price will restrict our ability to return too often.

- David (10/5): Iconic location and accommodation - Ridgetop Retreats and Deep Creek Conservation Park are gems in the SA landscape. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here. The living room light was flickering but still worked. A minor issue.

- Margaret (9/5): Highly recommend this stay. - Magnificent setting, beautiful new accommodation, generous breakfast, welcoming fireplace (even though we didn't light it, it was beautiful). Very good base for hiking Deep Creek NP I understand we are in nature, but there were a fair number of pesky millipedes. No fault of the accommodation, a bit of yuck factor especially in the bthroom and wondering up the walls.

Loved the efficiency and layout and the provisions were practical and appreciated. Hubby missed the tv but, not surprisingly, we managed fine without it.

- Claire (9/5): Superb - Lovely quiet location, peaceful and away from the road. In a small group of three retreats, spaced nicely apart and private, we had the middle one. Beautiful outlook over the forest, saw echidnas, kangaroo and birds. Nearby Stringybark campground (short walk down the track behind the retreats). Breakfast supplies nice, including local produce (local milk, bread and juice). Well equiped kitchen. We visited in summer so didn’t use the fireplace, but that would be awesome in winter. Great also that a park pass included in the stay (though note this is received on checkin and needs to be left on checkout).

- 9clouds (9/5): Stylish and comfortable stay in Deep Creek - It’s spacious, practical, full of natural lights and very stylish in the National Park. The bed is very comfy and we slept very well, thanks to the walking we did on many hiking trails. We have all the basics for breakfast, fresh bread, butter, plenty of jam, peanut butter and Vegemite. Three types of cereals with yogurt and milk. We feel very at home. And the best thing I like about this property is the bathroom, and the big eucalyptus tree outside the window. Nothing

BBQ was out in the open not suitable to cooking our food and would not light in the weather. Perhaps a shelter could be better. Breakfast could include bacon and eggs for the price of accommodation.
