Guest Reviews
- judith (1/5): Entsetzlich.
- Klaus (9/5): - Super netter Vermiter, perfekte Lage in der Altstadt
- antoinette (10/5): Parfait - Tout.

- GABRIELLA (10/5): - A breathtaking beautiful B@B in an old palazzo in the heart of the historic centre. Once you step through the heavy door, you find yourself in an oasis of calm in the midst of this bustling and amazing city. The roof terrace is sensational and has a wonderful view over the city! The owner Marco is a wonderful and helpful person with a great knowledge of Napoli's art & history. My next travel to Napoli is soon and I will for sure stay there again. I felt at home.
- Lorelei (10/5): B&B Nilo is a wonderful place retreat to after exploring the wonderful, crazy city that is Naples - We stayed here for 8 nights in October. It was a very quiet and comfortable space, beautifully decorated, and immaculately maintained. Super clean and tidy. Daily housekeeping, took care of all the tiniest details. There was plenty of space to spread ourselves out, and unpack. There are other lovely spaces to sit and relax inside, as well as a lovely roof terrace. There is often music playing quietly in the apartment, and you have a real sense that this is a home.
The building entrance is through a set of huge doors from a narrow little street. As soon as you come into the courtyard and close the door, all the noise and bustle is left outside. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, but there is a lift - although it’s lovely to walk down the stairs and experience the wonderful old building.
It’s a really excellent location, within walking distance of many sights with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
The list of restaurant recommendations provided in the apartment were excellent and we would say that they are all worth visiting. Our host was helpful and responsive. Nothing - everything has been thought of. Breakfast is at a nearby cafe - I might have liked to have had this in the apartment, but

- Armine (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice apartment, comfortable and clean.
The housekeeper was very kind and friendly, Nothing
- Paula (9/5): Superb -
- Satchell (10/5): Exceptional - Marco was an incredible host. The location was superb and our stay was awesome. The B&B was clean, safe & convenient and they had so many nice extra touches. From replenishing our waters everyday to leaving little chocolates/treats each morning. My wife and I will definitely use them again when we visit Naples next!
- Foy (9/5): Old world charm and very hospitable! - Marcello was wonderful. The cafe for breakfast was also great! Bed was a little old. Mattress was a little uncomfortable.
- Mark (10/5): Perfect - The suite was beautiful, enjoyed a lovely bath each morning before a day exploring. Marko was wonderful and the tour of the property a real highlight. N/A
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - The property was really amazing and had all we needed for our stay and very well kept.
Many thanks to our host, for all the special attention we got during our stay!

- M (10/5): I had an amazingly comfortable, enjoyable 4 day stay at B&B Nilo that I wish could have been longer! - The location is outstanding, right in the middle of old Naples, close to Santa Chiara and "Christmas Alley." Host is very very helpful and full of knowledge. Rooftop terrace has fantastic views. Nothing. I wish I could have stayed longer!
- Merve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marina (9/5): Superb - Nice style of the hotel, helpful and friendly owner, good location It’s quite only with the closed windows.
- Marcel (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent: most of the things we wanted to see within walking distance Being in an old part of town, there was not much of a view. The roof terrace made up for it to some extent.
- Elisa (9/5): Superb -
- Mikk (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adriaan (10/5): Charming host charming place - Marco the host greeted us with a tour of the sitting room , library and two terraces we could use as well as the adequately sized bedroom. Our time in Naples was hugely enriched by staying in this charming place with charming host Nothing
- Ronald (10/5): Oasis of tranquility - Comfort of room, exceptionally well equipped and quiet in the middle of a very busy city. Nothing
- Doron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frieder (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful rooms in the center of Napoli. And the hosts are very kind and helpful! It was great to stay here!
- Barry (10/5): Large comfortable apartment with beautiful outside space. - This apartment is a wonderful oasis of piece in the madness of Naples. The apartment is large, comfortable and the terraces are beautiful with stunning views in all directions. Marco is incredibly helpful and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Naples and its history. Nothing.
- Katharina (9/5): Superb - wonderful host, clean, elegant room and spacious shared terrace and living room It’s not the B&B’s fault, but it is quite loud at night despite being in the 4th floor - like all centrally situated locations I guess.
- Markus (10/5): Great location and the owner is phantastic and very helpful! - The owner is a great host. Getting the keys was very simple, as he lives in the same buidling. The location is phantastastic, in the middle of the historic district and very safe and quiet. The living room is full with antique furniture. Marco, the owner, provided very useful sightseeing tips, e.g. how to get to Pompeji. The rooftop is huge with great views and lots of chairs to relax. Breakfast is in a bar around the corner, just coffee and croissants.
- Diego (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Naples is full of character. This place was too: down a skanky side street through a rough door into a dreary courtyard and then up to a beautiful apartment that felt like a Palace. My room(s!) were perfect Nothing. Loved it
- Yasmin (10/5): Beautiful apartment, perfeft host - The most beautiful stay with the best host imaginable! Marco’s love for Naples shows in his incredible insight, he gave us so much information about the history, where to go, what to see, where to eat. The apartment is in a perfect location in the historic center, as soon as you go through the massive door you are cut off from bustling Naples and enter a serene building, a two tiered roof terrace with plants and a swing is perfect place to lounge after a busy day out. The apartment is in a class of its own gotten with a common lounge area, a grand piano, a library. We received complimentary sweets, water, different teas, toiletries. Thank you Marco for the best introduction to Naples that we could have ever dreamt of.
- Laura (10/5): Can’t wait to return - My host Marco could not have been lovelier. Super helpful, kind, full of information about his home town-clearly proud of his home and the B&B. The space is beautiful, spotlessly clean and very central. The 3 terraces were the perfect place to relax after touring all day. A most excellent place and I can’t wait to return.
- Tracy (9/5): Quiet, quality living in the heart of the old town of Naples. - We loved the location and the quality of the fittings in this beautiful home. Marco’s advice about Naples sights and how to access them was invaluable.
- Karmel (10/5): An exceptional home and an exceptional host - Marco was a generous and kind host with a wealth os information about the city and history Absolutely nothing
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Jo-anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (9/5): Welcoming, friendly BnB in the heart of Sicily with a friendly host and amazing terrace. - A beautiful period property with amazing roof terraces on the heart of Naples. Nothing to dislike.
- Somayah (10/5): Amazing! Highly recommended. - Marco was the sweetest, he gave me a tour and told me all about the history of the place and the surroundings.
Every day they would give me a complimentary taste of the city (cake, chocolate, a souvenir…)
It was hospitality at it best. The breakfast restaurant, they only had croissants and they weren’t so good so i would skip them have some coffee and get something else from a different place.
- Jindra (8/5): Very good - Owners absolutely lovely! Clean and super place - usable to “discovering” different part of city with comfortable distances.
- Leon (10/5): Amazing place - Excellent location , great host, amazing atmosphere, extremely clean Nothing
- Sigurdur (10/5): Exceptional - Perfectly located, the terrace with beautiful view, it was just like a oazis from the very much lively city. We just loved everything about it and all the small details by a perfect host
- Erez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agata (10/5): Exceptional - It was one of the most beautiful accomodation I have ever been to, calm and quiet, beautifully furnished. I have never expereinced such kindness and hospitality of the host! Breakfast was 2 minutes walk in the caffetteria round the corner. The location was great - in the historical centre of Neapol. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. I hope to visit this place again.
- Ilan (8/5): was great place to base our travels in Napoli - excellent location at the historic center.
very different and inviting apartment. the bed was uncomfortable (too hard).
a bit far from public transportation, but this is due to the location at the historic center.
- Theresa (10/5): Quiet little gem in a bustling city. - Apartment had all necessary amenities.
Beautiful terrace roof area and communal lounge area.
Superb location as only a door step away from the hustle and bustle of the historic centre.
Very quiet apartment despite being in the centre.
Marco, the host, was full of knowledge about the history of Naples and nearby attractions.
- Nagwa (10/5): Perfect location, charming, lovely... - Perfect location, extremely charming in character, functionally comfortable and clean. The owner is very hospitable and knowledgeable, sharing the best of tips and recommendations and making our stay very personal and special. The breakfast can be better, it's basically one baked item and a coffee at a nearby cafe. Having said that, I would still stay at this hotel again and again, but know not to count on a big breakfast.
- Andrew (8/5): Marco was a wonderful host - Charming
- Hiendlmeier (9/5): Beautyful little gem in the historic center, with an extraordinary friendly and passionate owner!!! - A gem in the heart of the historic center. On our arrival, Marco (the host) already gave us the first historic introduction to Naples, while showing us around and visting all the different roof top terraces. Extremely helpful and friendly, lovely little place, perfect for diving deep into the history of the city. breakfast is happening in a cafe down the road, charming, but "only" a typical italian breakfast (coffee/one piece of sweets). Everything else is coming with extra costs. But this is only to mention and match expectations, we did like this typical start into the day of exploring.
- Barak (10/5): excelent. we would love to come again and again - Marco met us with a big smile even though we arrived late at night. He is full of knowledge and willings to help with wathever needed. we would love to come again and again
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Kerem (8/5): Elegant period architecture in a great location for a price - The property has a grand living room with very high ceilings, decorated with period furniture akin to a baroque palace. The 'suite' we stayed in was tastefully furnished and beautifully laid out. The room was advertised as a suite, but it turned out to be a moderately sized room with a big bathroom. It was ice cold in the room when we arrived, and I had to request heating twice from the host. Still, it was only the next day that it felt comfortable and closer to 22 degrees Celsius. The floors remained ice cold, however and the air condition, which could have helped to warm up the place, was not functioning.
The breakfast, which comes in a form of a voucher for a nearby cafe, is very Italian and consists of a croissant and tea or coffee. The indicated cafe did not have fresh croissants, so we went somewhere else the next morning, which was much better. This property has a baroque charm, but this is true for many other properties in Naples, often at more moderate prices and with larger and more convenient accommodations.
- Martina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bedanta (10/5): Beautiful house with everything being so unique having a beautiful story associated with. - Everything !!!
Loss of words for me to explain how beautiful the suite was and the entire property.
The owner was so humble his hospitality and the property indeed so comforting that you would think do I need to even step out.
The welcome gesture and token of gift before leaving from owner with his hand written letter you don't get that feeling in even in 5 star hotels... Maybe the cab from taxi to the location can be arranged by property since some pass is required to enter the main location which other drivers don't have and you would be left quite far away dragging your luggage. On return we asked owner to assist in arranging the cab right below the property and was very convenient.
- Chris (10/5): ten stars is pretty rare for us - but this place delivers on every - every single expectation. awesome stay. - this place is Bombing It !!!!! wow. we’ve stayed at many B and B s over the years, but they have it all figured out here. where to start? a three room apartment, essentially. boom. great facilities all around. how about the rooftop patio?! so great. very very clean. just wonderful accommodations. wonderful greeting by our host Marco - very, very informative. particularly given that lack of good hosts we experienced across Italy. as with Italy, there is no breakfast, but they did provide us with some chits to have coffee and a croissant in the nearby piazza. other than that - this is your hidden gem in a city that can best be described as gritty. you might be worried about the area it’s located, but I think the concerns may be misguided. never felt unsafe, even with large local crowds on the street. be smart, be safe.
- Michael (9/5): enchanting - Design and architecture Breakfast was in a cafe in the square
- Clio (10/5): Wonderfully comfortable, warm welcome, heaps of useful information — a real Napolitan gem! - Beautifully-furnished, right in the centre of the action but still nice and quiet, very comfortable bed and we loved having a sitting room too with so many thoughtful bits of information about Naples (and treats!). Our hosts were wonderful - Marco’s history tour of Naples from the terrace and Napolitan welcome were real highlights of our stay. Thank you so much!
- Nick (10/5): Beautiful, historic property with everyone you need to enjoy a lively city trip - Such a beautiful BnB, immaculately clean and right in the center of all the activity in Naples. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating. Plenty of space to enjoy your trip to Napoli! Nothing. Everything was amazing
- Maryfrances (10/5): Step-by-step - We enjoyed our coffee & croissant every morning. It’s a very nice place!
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shlomi (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful place right at the center, with the a very nice hospitality. very clean, very big, very recommended Breakfast is not Breakfast
- Maria (9/5): Lovely, carefully curated apartment from which to enjoy Naples. - Beautiful apartment in an historical building. my suite had there separated rooms and was well-appointed. Nothing.
- Ilya (9/5): Superb - A calm and peaceful haven amidst a lively city. The owner, Marco, welcomed us himself, showed us our room and the premises of the hotel and gave us a lot of information about the sights. The room was impeccably clean, with a lot of detail and attention put into it (there were different brochures with the info about different museums and other sights in the city, as well as train timetables and restaurants recommendations, in short everything a tourist need; there were some Naples specialty biscuits as a welcome gift, a natural soap, 2 bottles of water, a kettle with a choice of teabags - the ones for the morning and the ones for the evening). We were really touched by this attitude, as we could see that Marco and his team really cared about their guests. We would definitely recommend to stay in the B&B Nilo. - we were given a voucher to take breakfast in a nearby cafe, but it was very limited, only one drink and one piece of pastry were available.
- Nadine (10/5): Amazing apartment in the heart of Naples, we would highly recommend B&B Nilo. - The host was extremely welcoming and gave us an excellent tour of the B&B and lots of information on local sights and history etc. The apartment was large and beautifully decorated, and our room was comfortable and quiet. We loved the location and its immediate access to the historic centre of Naples. There were nice personal touches including sweets and toiletries left in our room. We also enjoyed using the breakfast vouchers in the local cafe each morning. We couldn't find any faults with our stay!
