Guest Reviews
- Ceri (9/5): - Spacious and very well presented apartment.
- Vicki (10/5): Lovely cottage in the Adelaide Hills so cosy and clean - The Gardiners Cottage was private and cosy Nothing
- Bryan (7/5): - needs Internet access
- Carole (10/5): -
- Yana (10/5): An overall excellent weekend away! - Very comfortable stay , great location! The owners are
were very helpful and the warm scones on arrival were a great personal touch.
- Paul (9/5): A great place to stay and relax just outside Adelaide - A wonderful cottage with excellent facilities and some very interesting decoration items. We were in the Gardeners cottage and had lots of old garden equipment as decoration. The host was very welcoming and friendly and the supplies left for our stay were more than adequate. The location was very quiet and still just a short distance from the town and its amenities. The only thing that let the property down was there was no internet available. This ment that to check updates for our flights home we had to go into the hotel in town to use the wifi as we did not have access via our phone sim.
- Bissoni (10/5): Perfect accommodation - Spacious attractive accomodation situated in a peaceful rural location with lots of birds singing.
The host Esme was there to greet us and arranged a local taxi to our daughter's wedding due to Gulf war flight disruptions.
We wished we could have stayed longer 😀 Nothing
- Rawlings (10/5): Do yourself a favour on your next trip to Adelaide and stay at the Parrilila Estate. it’s a hidden gem!! Thanks Esme for - A great property full of character in Aldgate. Esme made sure our stay so special. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!! Nothing
- Myers (10/5): - Beautiful area and staff where friendly and informative.
- Tina (10/5): Wonderful place to stay if you are seeking architecture, history and lots of comfort. - We really enjoyed the apartment. Whilst you could see there were some minor renovations, the decor and layout, mood lighting and wonderful home baked scones made for a lovely experience. Esme was very welcoming and we felt very relaxed after out stay. We wish me had more time to stay and explore.
- Roberta (10/5): Delightful accommodation in central location - Juice, cereal, bread and quality range of condiments provided. Fresh scones, jam and cream on arrival - delicious! Nothing
- Neil (10/5): Highly recommend the Gardener's Cottage. - A unique Cottage in a lovely garden setting. Esme was very welcoming and helpful.
- Ove (9/5): Very nice and would be happy to be back when in Adelaide next time. - The place was within easy reach from the City but also very quiet and secluded. We never drove more than 15mins to the destinations in the areas such as Mt Lofty and Hahndorf.
- Stephen (9/5): -
- Ben (10/5): -
- Glenn (10/5): A great place to stay I’d be surprised if people did not like it - The property easy to find and great parking The inside of the property was quality and extremely clean. The Bathroom was a great size and great water pressure.
With the usual tea and coffer ( coffee maker not so usual )There was Bread, scones, juice for consumption. I will definitely stay there again as this was my second time anyway.
- Scott (10/5): A wonderful place to stay for a prolonged break. - A beautiful relaxing place to stay. Esme, our hostess was so friendly and welcoming.
Quirky and interesting decor. Nothing, all was good.
- Richard (10/5): Extremely positive, enjoyable, welcoming and good value. - Our initial contact with owner was excellent and the communication, information and final meeting of Esme was first class.
She was extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful, and made our experience something special.
We loved the estate and surrounding Adelaide Hills. If I were to live somewhere else other than God's own Western Australia, the Adelaide Hills would be it. Nothing in particular.
- Amy (10/5): Peaceful and private getaway - Endlessly peaceful and immaculately clean. Very thoughtful touches like freshly baked scones with jam and cream on arrival and fresh flowers around the place. You are left to soak up the relaxing environment without being disturbed by anyone else.
- ESTHER (10/5): - One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in. Their pride shines through in every aspect of the apartment. The welcome scones on arrival and provisions for breakfast were amazing. I can't wait to stay here again

- Nadia (10/5): Tranquil hidden gem in the Hills - The owner Esme, welcomed us to the cottage so warmly meeting us on arrival to show us around and providing local produce of scones, juice, milk, bread and jams from the local area.
The cottage itself is right at the back of the property and is so tranquil and quiet, waking up in the luxurious and comfortable bed to the floor to ceiling window looking out at the beautiful lush green bushland was a dream.
Everything was provided from robes, to lux towels and all the kitchen appliances you needed for a short stay.
The cottage is close to local shops in both directions and only a 10 min drive to Hahndorf. Amazing spot to base and explore the Hills. Nothing, everything was great.
- Anthony (9/5): - Liked the little history of the place story. And the 10 past 10 on the clocks and the meaning of them which we googled. Mmmmm lol

- Matthew (10/5): Adelaide Hill hideaway - Once you enter the property it's like going back in time.
The grandeur of the main house and the beautiful gardens start the journey
We opted for the gardeners cottage which was fantastic with quirky furnishings. Personally can't Complain
- Griffiths (10/5): - Esme, our host and owner of the estate, was helpful, friendly, and non intrusive. Esme gave us a warm welcome on arrival and showed us to our apartment. The decor and apartment presentation was just lovely. Despite the cold winter weather, our accommodation was warm and inviting. All the lovely extra touches, such as scones, locally made jams, luxurious towels, robes, and bathroom toiletries, were very much appreciated. We can highly recommend the estate for a peaceful getaway. Remember that it is winter, the bathroom with high ceilings and beautiful tiles is a little on the cool side. But it's not something that would stop me from returning for another great couple of nights away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
- Silvana (9/5): -
