• Bliss (4/5): Nice location but property is very unpleasant - Location Extremely noisy, unprofessional setting, left two days early because of personal, however the first two nights was Extremely noisy. The inside the property smelled like a cat litter box. I complained to Booking.com and the property. Property owner offered no concession. I will not be staying at this property in the future.

• Irene (7/5): A basic but pleasant stay in White Rock - A nice basic room. More like an Airbnb stay than a hotel. The bed was fairly comfortable. Everything was clean. Good location, near the bus and downtown White Rock. No breakfast provided, but we were given a couple of snacks at the beginning of our stay. Coffee and tea as well as kettle and coffeepot in the room. There's a closet with hangers. No cooling but there is heating and windows can open. Plenty of parking available. It was a bit noisy. There was no bath mat in the bathroom. I would have liked more pillows.
• Lynne (5/5): - Location good. Only two small bananas and one granola bar left in room. Coffee machine in room and kettle. Hairdryer in bathroom. A little noisy with owner's children living above accommodation. Room clean and bed comfortable. Host very friendly and hospitable.

Heard children, foot steps over head, dishes being washed etc. Room overlooked a backyard filled with hanging personal laundry. Tub was very high and challenging getting into to shower. No bath mat in tub base. King bed mattress was on top of two side by side spring metal frames that were very noisy when you moved in bed. Oops, did this in reverse... What I liked.... Quiet neighborhood, good parking in front.

• Julie (9/5): Clean and quiet - The room was very clean, especially the bathroom. It was very quiet so it was a nice break from the noisy city where we live. It's very close to the ocean, but a very steep climb if you're going to walk. There's a small flat screen TV with Amazon Prime. Harry picked some nice roses from the garden, and stocked the room with two bananas and two granola bars. The coffee maker comes with ground coffee, and there's a kettle with tea coffee, sugar cubes and french vanilla creamers. Bathroom is very clean, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, and clean towels It would be nice if there was a bar fridge. This prevented us from buying local perishable food items to take home the next day. Next time we'll have to bring a cooler with ice.

If I wanted a hotel room in a private house I would’ve booked a hotel then I would’ve at least had a mini fridge and 2 beds seeing it was advertised as double occupancy and showed 2 beds in the pictures I viewed. See above. Also, I didn’t have access to change the temperature in the room. The owner drew a picture under the thermostat showing “71 = nice”. Our room was 78 degrees f. When we went to bed. There were also items in the advertisement that were not in the room ie: slippers, a couch, a change room. They listed “cleaning products” as amenities. There was no way I was cleaning the room before I left. Terrible value at $209 all in.

• Munira (6/5): Not quite the ocean stay - Quite neighborhood. Appreciate the amenities and coffee machine. Kettle. Owner very helpful. Great coffee shop 4 minutes from location, and the 4 corners restaurant for breakfast is a retro. This place has the potential to be a nice place...however, Walking into the main entrance of the house, the porch is a bit cluttered with stuff, so it's not tidy. And inside the main lobby, there's a slight odor from cooking, perhaps?? Sadly, the mattress was worn as it dipped in the middle. It was difficult to sleep comfortably. Also, they could use a bug screen in the washroom window. Not very soundproof rooms, so for the price, it was a bit steep. It is a 13-minute walk downhill to all the major restaurants.

• Jim (2/5): FALSE ADVERTISING - Bathroom was nice and the WiFi worked fine. There was no breakfast! They provided two bananas and two granola bars and coffee on the wooden table. They show as a Bed and Breakfast online but DO NOT PROVIDE BREAKFAST
• Barry (10/5): Exceptional - This was a very tidy and well presented B&B with a lovely bathroom, all of which was very clean. The owner, Harry, met me and explained how everything worked and made certain that I was very clear on door locks, etc. The premises were very modern, well appointed, and there was good parking. I have already passed on this great find to friends looking for accommodation in the area. I strongly recommend this listing. There were no disappointments whatsoever.

Wifi was good, as were the channels for TV/movies/etc. This would be a wonderful place for orientals as the couple doesn't speak much English. Only granola bar & banana for breakfast. Coffee and tea as well. Not much communication with the hosts.

• Nhat (7/5): At the end the cost is a bit high considering those facts. - It has good location with quiet surrounding and it's near the beach too. The owner is also kind and caring. I received an basement room. I kinda sensitive with smell so I find the room always has an uncomfortable smell and it's cool even in the summer.

It really did not seem like a regular BNB. It felt like staying at a friends house in the basement. The price was high for what was available.

Tea but no coffee The rooms are in a house occupied by the host family so there is noise from time to time. The basement has a large window but the outlook isn't great and the light levels are subdued.
• Michael (8/5): If i knew the mold issue was taken care of, I certainly would return. - Hosts were excellent and personable. Room size, quality of bed and washroom/shower were quite nice. Ease of access was quite nice as well. All aspects of the property appealed to me with slight exceptions for spider webs along baseboards and window trim and sadly there is a definite smell of mold...even though the mold was not seen.

Provided water, bananas, kettle and slippers for indoors. The shower was large and luxurious. Friendly and accommodating host! If I was looking for a view, I wouldn't have got it here in the lower suite. But I booked this room to relax and sleep, so it didn't bother me.
• Zipse (3/5): Not a good vibe here. - Not much. Gave us one bath towel and 1 face cloth for two days. Shower ran over the edge and used mat to mop..paid 20.00 per day for cleaning and they never came near the place. Mops in bathroom and bedroom so was dusty and guess it was do it yourself. No mini fridge, no breakfast and no coffee. Used 2 chairs for suitcases. No place to put anything and so chintzy and cheap. Put in 20 more bucks and stay where you get breakfast and value, not here.
• James (5/5): No local content on the TV. Expect good TV with room price. Won't stay again for this reason. - Breakfast was not included. All good except for as noted below. Could not find any local content on the TV provided. Saturday nite in Canada and we could not find a hockey game to watch, only European soccer. This was our only disappointment however we would never stay here again for this reason!

• Robert (10/5): It was a very wonderful stay. - We stayed four nights while visiting Vancouver, White Rock, and Victoria. Harry the host greeted us warmly, was very courteous, and attentive to our needs during our stay. The house is very nice with beautiful rose and vegetable gardens as you enter the front yard, located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, close to White Rock pier, shops, and restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable king size bed. Harry shared a couple of his home-grown cucumbers with us, they were very tasty. We would definitely stay there again. No microwave in room but one was available down the hall in the laundry room area.
• Sean (8/5): Definitely worth the price and I will stay there if I am welcome to again. Great for a pit stop on the way to the states - The property was amazing, well lit and felt safe and secure. Was comfortable and they definitely paid attention to detail in regards to wifi, tv, home access and they had set aside snacks and a bottle of water and tea. Private bathroom is private but is just across the hall.

• Martina (10/5): I was so graciously welcomed and looked after during my stay. - The location in White Rock was great, very close to ocean views. I loved the beautiful rose garden and Harry, the host gave me a pink rose, which was very kind and special. A kettle was there for making tea and lovely fruit, biscuits and crackers were provided for breakfast and snacks. The host gave me a cucumber and a couple of tomatoes from his garden as well.
