Guest Reviews
- Mariska (1/5): Bad - On arrival the hotel was closed
- Perrine (8/5): Very good - The location and the houses are amazing - an amazing view, air co and beautiful maintenance.
The place was cleaned everyday and that a good thing because there are obviously a bit of insects
Its a peaceful place to stay after long walks in the park! The restaurant of the hotel had 3 nights the same diner and closed really early- and careful cause there is nothing else beside !
A bit too much expensive for Colombia and thz services offers.
- Contreras (1/5): Bad - I showed up and the place was not in operation I lost my money
- C (1/5): It’s out of business. - The property is closed but Booking.com isn’t warning people. I and two other groups of people I know of showed up and found we need to figure out other options. I notified Booking.com but they didn’t acknowledge my submission.
- Nicolas (9/5): Superb -
- Tamary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erika (10/5): Amazing place, very comfortable and a very kind staff. - Amazing place, very comfortable and a very kind staff. NA
- Erika (10/5): Incredibly beautiful place - Astonished by the beauty of the place and the staff was always kind and welcoming. Absolutely nothing
- Clement (7/5): Good - Nice set up in the greenery and easy access with in the national Park The restaurant wasn’t good. Good overall was very so so. I preferred to go eat outside
- Katerina (7/5): Needs to do better at this price - Location was excellent, only 12-15 mins walk from the park entrance and the park shuttle buses stopped outside the entrance.
Macaw parrots living on the estate
Nice well kept grounds
One of the staff members Fernando was very amiable and helpful There is no information on the listing that it is difficult to reach this place with luggage. They should provide pickup really, since there is a good tarmac road from the park entrance, or at least instructions on how to good there.
No WhatsApp number to contact. The only number available is to call the chain, but they didn’t know enough about the hotel and gave us wrong details about the accessibility.
At the price of €72 (and that’s with a significant discount) this hotel doesn’t even provide a complimentary bottle of water which costs less than €0.10.
Room is basic, again, at this price, I would expect a little more comfort.
Breakfast is basic, a plate of eggs with arepas and fruit.
Dinner was also “meh” - dishes cost as much as in nice restaurants in Santa Marta but tasted below the standards of any street vendor. Cooks lack manners
The only member of staff there that truly did his job well and was also friendly and caring is Fernando.
- Laura (9/5): Superb - A pleasant stay. Clean accomodation. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was decent. Would recommend
- Mario (10/5): Amazing hotel with perfect staff and service - The staff was fantastic. The lady at the reception was really nice and welcoming. The dinner (especially the fish and the shrimp cocktail) was great and the service amazing. We loved our stay and enjoyed the perrots a lot. We definitely want to come back. -
- Kathrin (8/5): Beautiful bungalows inside Tayrona Park - Good location in the park near entry. Nice bungalows and friendly people. Good food and beautiful hotel area. No drinking water available apart from small overprized bottles. No warm water in shower. Jacuzzi in Deluxe Bungalow didn‘t function.
- Perry (10/5): The perfect stay in the heart of the National Park - The team here were so friendly and responded quickly to any questions or requests I had. The property has gorgeous grounds, very well maintained. The cabin has everything you would need for your stay. The breakfast pancakes were great. And not forgetting the resident macaws. Nothing.
- Elena (9/5): Great place to stay in Tayrona park! - We really enjoyed our short stay in Ecohabs in Tayrona. Checkin process went smoothly we could leave our bags in there and enjoy the day at the beach. Once we returned our bags were waiting for us in our room. Place had everything we needed and location was good. Gardens were beautiful with lots of birds and monkeys. Thank you!
- Jacqueline (10/5): Perfect base to explore the park. - Everything! The staff on arrival were very friendly and Fernando looked after us very well! Nothing!
- Jasen (1/5): DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GREEDY MANAGEMENT TEAM!! - The hotel grounds are well maintained and the rooms are well appointed. On the first night of my stay, the room lost power at 2am. At breakfast, I was told that this is a common occurrence with the local utility, but that it would be restored shortly. After an all-day excursion, I came back to the resort to find that not only had power not been restored, but there was no water. At this time, I informed the staff that I could not stay the second night without power, and they understood that I would request a refund for the second night. Repeated attempts to contact management for the refund over the last 30 days have been met with completely insufficient communication. While the power and water situation is beyond the hotel's control, their failure to make things right for a dissatisfied guest is very much within their control. Stay at this property at your own risk!
- Ms (10/5): A gem of a hotel - Lovely small hotel with stunning well kept gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful
- Erik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (10/5): Excellent - Great location inside the Tayrona National Park from where we trekked to the beaches, including La Piscina where we enjoyed snorkelling. The staff go out of their way to enable you to have a relaxing time. We enjoyed dining each night in the restaurant; Our thanks to Fernando for his excellent and cheerful service.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - The Landscape and acomodation
- Leonardo (10/5): Beautiful place - Lovely place for stay and relaxing, no need anything to have a wonderful time Nothing
- Valerie (5/5): Not worth it - Friendly staff.
It was located inside the park, nevertheless far away from the entrance.
Macaws in the property. There was stress to getting to the park because the stay at the hotel doesn’t guarantee your entrance to the park. This should be a given or part of the service as they told us we would lose our money if we didnt get in the park.
We were a couple and the app let us book an 8 bed room. It was not a nice room.
The bathroom shower clogged so we had to call maintenance.
When we woke up in the morning there was a huge mess outside of the room like from animals.
The breakfast was supposed to be like buffet style, but there was nothing. We ordered anyways and received a nice meal.
- Carola (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Superb - Beautiful views and very relaxing. Very quiet.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvie (10/5): Welcome to paradise! - Staff is very attentive and it is the most wonderful setting!
- Susan (5/5): Beautiful gardens and easy access to the park. Room was odd and the food mediocre. - Beautiful gardens. Loved the hammock spa. Pleasant staff. Easy access to Tayrona Park. A hammock in the middle of the room that you had to constantly walk around…very odd.
Food was mediocre to poor.
We arrived to no hot water and no water pressure. Cold shower! However the issue was taken care of promptly
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Beautiful peaceful garden on the edge of Tayrona. Cabins were comfortable and clean. Internet service poor when we were there.
Be aware, the double cabins don’t have a terrace or hammocks unlike the family cabins.
- Brise (10/5): Exceptional - The room was beautiful, that staff were friendly and the food (especially breakfast) was delicious.
- Randy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reeves (9/5): Jungle Paradise - Fantastic location. Loved sitting on the terrace surrounded by nature (& relaxing in the jaccuzi in the room!) Nothing
- James (10/5): Perfect family trip in a tropical paradise - Food was great, loved the omelettes by request and the natural fruit juice. The coolest was the number of tropical birds you heard everyday on the property. Everything was clean, well maintained, and I appreciate that there were only 10 lodges so it never felt overcrowded. One lodge was noisy, they broke the rules by bringing in a speaker and blasting music. After asking twice, the staff requested them to turn it off which they did. So this was more of a positive.
- Diana (7/5): Good - The place is beautiful. Common areas are so nice and clean. They have a fee guacamayas that make the experience even better. I loved it! Everything is great EXCEPT the massages (los masajes) expensive overrated and super improvised. We paid for 2, 90 minutes, and they left us 30 mnts sleeping without any massage. Additionally they do it in the kitchen area in front of people and ask you to get undressed, and make fun of you for trying to cover. Horrible experience.
- Elena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (9/5): Amazing value for money - The tranquility and nature is the first thing that comes to mind when you are staying in this hotel. You wake up everyday to the sounds of the birds and fauna of the Tayrona forest, the atmosphere in this hotel is unique. The rooms were well equipped with personal WiFi in each cabin, hot water and fridge.
The nearby to the rest of the Tayrona Park is something really helpful to visit it completely, as it makes travelling inside it something much more comfortable.
The staff was really friendly and helpful with each doubt and help that we had, they attended everyone with a smile and in charismatic behaviour.
It truly is great value for money The only downside of everything was that some of the sheets had some hairs in them. A bit more of carefulness at the time of cleaning would be much appreciated.
- Christianne (10/5): Luxury and adventure at the same time - The place was amazing! We had such a good time and it was such an adventure staying in the jungle. The staff was 10 of 10 and the food they served was beyond all expectation! Thank you for having us!
- Michele (10/5): Ecohabs Bamboo Parque Tayrona – An Unforgettable Stay in Paradise Ecohabs Bamboo at Parque Tayrona is an experience lik - Its location We loved all
- Chris (9/5): Great location, clean and organized facilities, welcoming staff and memorable experience - Location
View
Service
Clean
Facilities Slightly expensive
- John (10/5): Jungle oasis - The situation of this place is amazing. Great garden and outdoor places. The rooms super comfortable. Love the parrots!
- Austin (10/5): Perfect place to stay to appreciate the beauty of Parque Tayrona! - It is quiet. It is beautifully kept. The staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, and to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The bed was wonderful and the habitation was clean, spacious, and felt like an oasis in the trees.
- Marietta (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Rakeisha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Fabian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (7/5): Beautiful location - The location, pets and beds were awesome Cold showers and dinner was a bit mehh also pretty
- Eleonora (7/5): Good - The facilities are in good conditions considering being in the middle of the park with high humidity. Some staff members could be more helpful and proactive towards guests ( before and during your stay).
- Fintan (9/5): Superb - Located within Tayrona National Park Ecohabs Bamboo provides incredible opportunities to experience the jungle and observe wildlife. Every morning we could hear Red Howler Monkeys in the surounding forest and within the compound we saw Macaws, Sloth. Crab Eatting fox and a wide variety of birds.
- Bonnie (9/5): Peaceful in the park - This is a very peaceful little resort for relaxing and exploring within the National park. Lovely staff. The only public area for relaxing is the restaurant.
- Anastasiia (10/5): Exceptional - Relaxing stay after hike in Tayrona park.
Great amenities in the room, the bath and L’Occitane cosmetics - amazing!
Delicious dinner with nice wine. The worker Fernando *boy with beautiful eyes:)* was very helpful and made a great service. Thank you, we will come back!
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jake (10/5): We loved it here and would definitely stay again. Don’t make the mistake we did and walk to Cabo San Juan and then stop - The staff were so helpful! In particular Ludes and Fernando! Fernando even took us down to a beach/river to see the crocs! Very interesting!
The huts are very nice and again the site is very peaceful we would definitely stay here again. Nothing
- Jacqueline (9/5): A wonderful and lush oasis within the parque tayrona - The property was very well located within the parque tayrona with a bus stop to get to the hiking trails very easily. The hotel gardens were very beautifully maintained and the flowers and plants wonderful lush. There were even some parrots in the property. The restaurant area was nice and the staff very forthcoming and super helpful and nice. We liked the food as well.
- Angelica (9/5): Superb -
- Bernard (9/5): Superb -
- Rita (10/5): Amazing stay in the jungle - The room was really nice, we had the bathtube inside. The staff was amazing, really nice people, made the days even better. Some animals Will visit you, we really enjoyed that. Breakfast was nice. Location is great. All good, just remind the closing park hours, all was solved but when we arrived around 18h, it took half an hour for the security to let us pass.
- Charlotte (9/5): Superb - The location was great, we walked all day in the park and came back in the evening. The jacuzzi bath was brilliant. While we loved the breakfast, we feel the evening dinner could have been improved a little.
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reecha (8/5): Very good -
- Tanya (9/5): Very good accommodation in the national park surrounded by nature. Lovely staff - Great staff, kind and super helpful. Lovely hosts.
- Maneesha (4/5): Great interior design and view from the top but lousy food because they don't have to try. - The interior design of the Ecohabs. We had the luxury one with the outdoor hot tub (although we did not use it - it didn't look clean). Food started off well but got worse and worse. The cocktails too, were great the first day we were there then were watered down substantially. Maybe it depends on the staff who are working on the day.
There was a spider and a millipede in our bed which we found in the middle of the night.
- Aina (9/5): Superb -
- Sabbaghian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabbaghian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martha (8/5): Very good - Lovely location in the national park, easy access to the hikes and main road. Very cute little rooms, nice restaurant, decent breakfast. Jacuzzi bath not warm and water did smell a bit. Shower water also cold but since it was very hot outside it was tolerable.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rajene (5/5): Overall good but definitely too expensive for what was provided. - Beautifully maintained gardens, great food in the restaurant, friendly helpful staff. The pet fox was a huge nuisance sneaking into our room getting into things and nipping/biting at my two year old daughter. Also the power went out, not the hotels fault but without air conditioning the rooms were stifling hot.
- Isobel (8/5): Very good - Beautiful, cared for gardens and very comfortable bed. A very peaceful stay! It was a longer walk from the beach than other accomodations in the park but there is a shuttle for additional cost.
- Rafael (9/5): Superb - Nice people and service
- Marcia (6/5): I don’t regret staying there. But I would I have stayed two days instead of four. - Echo hub and grounds are beautiful and well kept. Loved my friends the parrots on property. Not enough t effort put into the breakfast. For example my husband and I would get there an hour after breakfast, to give them time to set up but we get there and water for tea was cold, milk for coffee was empty and so was the hot chocolate carafe .
Lots of eggs and rarely any type of bread.
Dinners where painful, since there out of many items in their menu.
- Alexis (9/5): Very nice stay, staff is very kind and you are in the middle of the beautiful nature. - Good location in the park, very convenient if you want to stay more than a day Not enough storage in the room… not a big deal to be honest
- Teemychief (8/5): Beautiful beautiful - Spectacular rooms and views. Hot tub was amazing, AC was a welcome reprieve. Friendly staff and again- the views were just breathtaking. Quite far from the beaches. The nearest beach is a good 45 min walk, but to the most beautiful ones we had to either walk 3 hours or take a horse ride (which nearly killed us!).
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Babis (10/5): Great place to chill and enjoy the national park! - Just an amazing place to chill and enjoy the national park. The facilities were great. Staff was super friendly and willing to help with anything we wanted. Food was just amazing and felt like we had our own chef. The place is well preserved with the staff to take care of it every day. There was even macaw parrot's which gave us a sense like we were one with the nature. Thank you all. Highly recommended. Nothing we didn't like
- Maria (10/5): Fabulous stay in a charming rustic boutique hotel inside the Tayrona park. - This is a cozy boutique hotel inside the Tayrona Park, with comfortable huts and beds with mosquito nets. The hotel had a good restaurant and a great atmosphere. The hotel is set in a magical tropical garden.
- Alberto (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent stuff, clean and spacious rooms, lots of nature!! We loved it all
- Andres (1/5): Do not stay there - Nothing The description of the property was completely deceiving. They use the name “Ecohabs” to mislead the clients from the real Ecohabs inside the park and close to the beach.
- Maria (9/5): Superb - The place is beautiful and the service is great. The hotel's name is almost the same as another one located on the Canaveral beach, so it may confuse people when they are booking. I was in a cottage close to the dining area, and it was a bit noisy; I would recommend asking for a farther away cottage.
- Ada (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect, The humidity
- Rafail (4/5): Nice place, bad communication, slow services, and untrustworthy! Would NOT stay again! - Breakfast was decent, lunch and dinner low level! Location was good and the space inside the hotel is nice!
However, communication and the quality of services not that good! Communication and some the facilities were really low level!
For example, lunch and dinner was really lower than my expectations and insanely slow, it took us 1 hour till we have our dinner in our table after we had ordered! However, I have a solution for that, ECOHOTEL YACHAY TAYRONA is 2 minutes walking across the street, they have amazing food, especially fish, with an amazing vibe from the personnel!
Our jakuzzi had a problem and was pouring some black stuff from its pipes as you can see in the images! I informed the reception but htey told they could not anything, and that I needed to empty that and fill it again, which takes a lot of time. Next day, I discussed with the reception again, and they promised to give me 30% discount due to that inconvenience, but after 2 months of talking to them by phone, they still find excuses that they need to arrange that with their accounting department. DO NOT TRUST them if they promise/agree to give you something!
- Randa (8/5): Very good -
- Leah (10/5): Paradise in comfort plus delicious food! - This place was conveniently located inside the park so you can avoid the lines of daily entry. The staff were so nice and helpful. The food was incredible- we were vegan and the chef knew exactly what that meant and made sure our food was prepared accordingly. There also some amazing macaws and parrots on the property! I rooms weee super clean and the air conditioning was very welcome after the long sweaty hikes!
- Rasa (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is awesome itself. Staff is friendly, stunning nature around. Clean and tidy
- Elizabeth (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - It’s very well maintained and the rooms are wonderful. The bed was AMAZING. Huge and comfortable. The bath in the room is great and the gardens are so beautiful. Really nice place to stay in the park. Staff are excellent. Breakfast was wonderful. The macaws they have there can’t fly. I’m not sure if this is a coincidence/rescue or they’ve had their wings clipped to be pets, but kinda sad to see. They seem happy, but hopefully it’s not done for tourists. This is a practice that should be stopped.

- Beatriz (10/5): Really nice place to stay. Very comfortable after a day of long walks and sand! - The bedroom and breakfast! The location, it is kind of far from the main beaches
- Rolf (9/5): Superb - The Ecohabs was great! It was very quiet and relaxing. The cabin we had was clean and had air-conditioning, which was great given the temperatures outside. The staff was very friendly, though speaking Spanish helps. We ate at the restaurant most evenings and the food was very good. It was best to pre-order either in the morning or a couple of hours before. The manager had arrange a taxi from Santa Marta airport as well as the pass to the park for us and everything went smooth.
We went to the national park beaches and it was a short bus ride and then a walk (maybe 30-45ins) through the forest with great views of the coast. There were closer beaches in the park but the combination of walk and then swim and lunch at the local huts was more appealing. Ecohabs are 15min by foot from the park entrance. From there we also took a very frequent bus service to Palomino, a town/beach, which is worth a visit. Its a lively place with a lot of backpacker hostels, restaurants and the beach had some nice waves.
The manager of Ecohabs also arranged for a local guide, who lives in the park, for a guided, all day walk through the park and forest. This was somewhat strenuous, given the heat and humidity, but we were able to basically walk through the middle of the forest, see some ancient ruins, spiritual places of the indigenous people, wildlife, and finished at a fantastic viewpoint. The guide was very knowledgable with a lot of personal experiences in the park. Despite the physical excertion this our highlight. everything was great.

- Philip (4/5): Try and avoid this place and look for other accommodation on the Park. - Location close to the entrance. The room itself was quirky. Staff were friendly. The actual room was clean, with no terrace as advertised, only small table and chairs on the steps. It was located very close to the Reception/Restaurant area so noise of people talking was very loud from early in morning to late at night. You didn’t get to enjoy the quiet of the park as a result. Breakfast very limited on choice and not great. Other meals were average with no flavour, Very disappointing for amount we paid.
