• Dale (10/5): MOKUM is marvelous! - The location was phenomenal! A stay at MOKUM Suites puts you on a corner with a canal on both sides. Our room was very spacious and super clean. You can access just about everything you want to see in a short walk. Lots of restaurants, bakeries, and cafes nearby. The owners met us when we arrived and were super nice. They even had numerous drinks in the fridge awaiting our arrival as well as plenty of coffee and tea. Very nice and safe neighborhood. NA

Besonders positiv war der freundliche Kontakt mit dem Vermieter – ich würde sie sofort wieder mieten. Die steile Treppe zum Zimmer im 2. Stock ist für ältere Reisende eher schwierig zu bewältigen (ich war mit den Kindern dort, also kein Problem für uns), zudem fehlten Angaben zum Verhalten im Brandfall. Insgesamt aber alles im grünen Bereich und nicht negativ zu werten.

• CRISTINA (10/5): Ubicación y vistas inmejorables. - La ubicación y la vista a los canales. Espectacular. Zona muy tranquila, y aunque esté cerca de Rembrandtplein, tiene doble ventana por lo que no se escucha ningún ruido. Por poner un pero, la limpieza. El suelo de la habitación estaba sucio.

The water view - We really appreciated the thoughtful details in the suite, especially the large art book featuring paintings from the Rijksmuseum, which gave the place a unique and charming touch. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no elevator, but that is quite understandable for an older building like this and felt normal to us. Since we stayed on the first floor, it was not really an issue for us.

• Ieva (10/5): Perfect - The accommodation exceeded our expectations – spacious rooms occupying the entire floor, featuring a large bathtub, two sinks, a sofa, a desk, a wardrobe, as well as a coffee machine and water in the room. The building has true Amsterdam charm – steep, narrow stairs, which we expected and actually found even more interesting. The hosts were caring and communicative, and thoughtfully provided drinks for our arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for self-catering. The large wooden table made us feel at home while having breakfast or dinner. Special compliments for the location – situated at the intersection of the canals, offering a view of multiple bridges, and on the other side, the vibrant nightlife is just steps away. We stayed very comfortably – it’s a pity our stay was too short. The mattresses were too soft for our preference. It would be helpful to provide more detailed instructions on the use of kitchen appliances, e.g. the extractor hood, as well as information about taking out the rubbish.

The location was superb-you could walk from there to the Nine Streets and to amazing cafes and restaurants. The communication, decor, cleanliness and view were superb. As we now have hip problems we found the steep staircase too challenging with our luggage. Would ask to stay on a lower floor next time.

Great staff who responded quickly to any requests. Having the kitchen facility was a bonus, and the drinks in the fridge a great addition. If any, bed a little soft for our liking, and the addition of a toaster in the kitchen. Stairs a little challenging although it is Amsterdam, and is to be expected.

• Ahmet Onur (7/5): İt’s an okey place - Good location and responsive hosts, with room for a few improvements. We enjoyed the semi-quiet location, and the hosts were very responsive to messages. With a few small upgrades, the stay could be excellent. The first thing that really needs updating is the listing photos on Booking.com — they no longer reflect the current state of the apartment and should be replaced with more recent ones. There’s no place to hang a bath towels or other items in the bathroom — only a face-towel hook. The shower has no curb, cabin, or curtain, so water spreads across the floor and the toilet area gets wet; without slippers, this can be quite inconvenient. Cleanliness was close to average: the floors were clean, but the bedspread and sofa had noticeable hair, similar to pet hair. In addition, one of the windows could not be opened at all, and if you plan to sleep in a dark room, it helps to clip the curtains together with a hairpin to block out light. Providing higher-quality toilet paper and more than one roll would also make guests’ stay more comfortable. Overall, this place has good potential — it just needs a few practical fixes and small updates to reach its best version.

Would certainly recommend for a couple that wants to enjoy the Amsterdam area. The stairs are no joke. If you have challenges with stairs this isn't the place for you.

It was really asking distance to anywhere you want to go. the room is spacious, you can even hangout in the room all day and night. I would definitely come back here again. The only feedback I have is to add daily housekeeping option to guest who wouldnt mind to pay for it . Also for guest who has alot of luggage, going up the stairs can be tricky. But this all is nothing compared to the whole experience

Локация: Апартаменты находятся в невероятно классном и живописном районе .Буквально за углом — множество кафе.При этом здесь царит удивительно спокойная и аутентичная атмосфера.Все главные достопримечательности, такие как Музейная площадь и площадь Дам, легко accessible пешком или на велосипеде. Апартаменты: Очень чистые, уютные и продуманные. Но главное — это виды! Мы сидели у окна и наслаждались видом на канал с проплывающими лодками — это настоящая голландская классика и невероятно романтично. Отдельно хочется выделить ванную комнату — она просто огромная и современная, с отличным душем. Хозяева: Отдельная благодарность гостеприимным хозяевам! дали карту и ценные рекомендации. Приятным сюрпризом стали комплименты в виде напитков и кофе — такая мелочь создает невероятно тёплую атмосферу. Рекомендация: Обязательно воспользуйтесь экскурсией на лодке, которую организует хозяйка! Это частная поездка по каналам, которая позволит увидеть Амстердам с его самого красивого ракурса — с воды. Узнали массу интересных историй и увидели потаённые уголки, мимо которых просто проходишь пешком. Лучшие фотографии и воспоминания именно оттуда. Однозначно рекомендую эти апартаменты всем, кто хочет почувствовать себя не туристом, а гостем этого удивительного города. Мы мечтаем вернуться сюда снова

• Hugh (8/5): A great location in the heart of Amsterdam - Great location in the old part and a walk to all the attractions. Large spacious room with a lovely view of the canal. Having tea and coffee making facilities was good too. The room could have been cleaner and towels and bed linen were old (but clean!). It would have been nice to have windows that open as it was very hot when we stayed and the room was quite stuffy.

Way better than the boats crowded with 40 or more. Coffee maker in the room and extra supplies in kitchen. There was no breakfast offered but there are many cafes nearby. The old building does need some attention. We could never open the windows. The window shade on one tall window is stuck in the open position. These things should be easily fixed allowing guests to fully enjoy this wonderful location.

• Ted (8/5): Great room and location. Self-serve, independence important. - The room was fantastic. Very large room with couch, desk and large bathroom. Tall ceilings and stylish decor. The location was great as we were right on a canal and could walk to things. They had a communal kitchen where we could freeze our ice pack and cool our water bottles. Also, had a few sodas and beers. We "ran" into someone who gave us our key, told us about the shared kitchen, helped with our luggage and she said for anything contact host listed on info sheet. We were there for (3) nights and there were 4 small pods of coffee (that is one morning's worth.) Coffee supplies were not replenished even in the communal kitchen. We texted the two numbers on the info sheet and never got a reply. We ran into the housekeeper who we informed about supplies and she said she'd contact the owner and that night we saw there was one sleeve for everybody. This may seem very petty, but it was important to us especially because they said coffee in the room and communal kitchen. The kicker was never getting a response. If you are looking for an orientation of any kind or assistance...this may not be the place for you.

Stairs to room are very steep going up to the top floors. You need to be careful with heavy luggage. To be fair we were warned about the stairs so not a complaint just an observation for others that may struggle.

• Alexander (7/5): Great location, but score lowered due to check-in errors - Location excellent - walking distance to museums and major attractions. Bedroom was on first floor of a classic narrow and skewed old canal building that had a great view of canal action (and very steep stairs). Place was clean, and the rather unusual clear glass bedroom double door and clear glass bathroom double door ensured the place remained bright. The downstairs shared kitchen was spacious, and well equipped, but went unused as there were many bars and good restaurants nearby. Check-in was a complete disaster. Upon our mid-afternoon arrival during the agreed-upon time-window, we were surprised that the building was locked and no one answered the door bell. E-mails to the host via the booking.com site were unanswered, and their phone number was not a valid what's app number, so could not be reached using data. In desperation, I had to turn on Canadian roaming and make a long-distance phone call. Turns out someone had failed to inform us about the check-in procedure that required a code to open a lockbox containing door keys - a massive failure by booking.com. Eventually, the host returned my call and informed us of the lock-box code.
• Erez (10/5): Perfect!!! - The suite is just perfect! Perfect location, clean, well equipped, beatifully decorated, big and spacious and you have all you need. Couldn’t ask for better, a great value for the price. Highly recommend!
• Matthew (9/5): Charming accommodation, great value in a wonderful part of Amsterdam - The house was utterly charming. It's on a beautiful canal, in one of the nicer areas of town (so I'm told by local friends who live in Amsterdam). We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves (we booked the Moon and the Star suites, first and second floors, each room is the whole floor). It looks like there are three rooms in total, but the lower ground floor was empty. The upper floors we had were incredible, spacious and warm with great views of the canal outside. Everything worked well, underfloor heating in one of the rooms, a huge bath tub in the other, and great water pressure. Any house in Amsterdam is going to have those trap stairs which are steep and feel more like a ladder. So, be warned, there is no lift but of course we knew this and it didn't bother us. The communal kitchen downstairs was lovely, and the hosts provided some beer and wine for us to drink during our stay - I didn't realise this was included when I booked, so what a lovely surprise! The location is very close to Rembrantsplein but not too close. You will not hear the noise but you can just see it from the first and second floor windows. It is 2min walk from the tram stop to Amsterdam Centraal, so that is about 14min overall journey into the center. Really, there is nothing to overly dislike. The hosts were wonderful, we met one towards the end and arranged for our bags to be stored in the house while we explored the town on our last day. I would absolutely consider staying here again. For breakfast, they had a deal with a local cafe (Brug 34) but it didn't seem to exist. The new business offered 10% off our breakfast bill however.

• Winnie (9/5): Comfortable Stay - We travelled to Amsterdam to attend a concert and found that it was also King's Day. The host from the time of booking maintained regular communication to confirm we had all the relevant details we needed. The apartment was centrally located so we able to witness and participate in the festivities without going too far, as most of the activities were taking place in close proximity. Many restaurants and sites within walking distance. The room itself was really spacious and well lit which is a unique element in Amsterdam, beautiful kitchen which was also well equipped. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and I would return on my next trip to Amsterdam. This is not a criticism per se, I would only recommend replacing some items in the room which may have worn out with time.

Thank you for - Beautifully decorated property, situated in a fantastic location right on the canal. The stairs seemed treacherous, especially when carrying a young child/suitcases/buggy, etc.

• Sylvia (10/5): Beautiful Spot - Great Location and beautiful Room. Owner helpful and responsive. Stairs v Steep but to be expected from House in Amsterdam - and staff were Kind enough to help me with my suitcase ( fortunately small).
• Aida (10/5): Exceptional - The room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The canal view was great. The kitchen was convenient and the free pop and beer in the fridge was nice touch. Nothing within the control of the hotel.
