• Karen (2/5): Steer clear of this B (without) B - The location. Biggest issue - booked twin beds, no twin beds, just 1 large double. No response from host when we sent her a message about this. For a B&B, there was NO breakfast. Confused and disappointed. Lighting in the hallways was very poor (we knew about the very steep staircases but with little or no lighting, it made it very dangerous). Bathroom door latch was very loose, secured by one screw which didn't screw in. No instructions on how to use anything, especially the heating and only terse response to our enquiry. Curtains (5 large windows, not blackout) falling off, didn't close properly. Hairdryer was broken (although this was replaced as soon as host was informed). Inadequate furniture. Only 1 bedside table. Bathroom smelly and damp and towels wouldn't dry. No housekeeping over 5 days. Bin wasnt emptied during our stay. No shelf in shower for personal items. Accessibility of 1 small hanging rail for clothes ( way too high to reach)

• Nelson (5/5): Location is everything here - The location is awesome, right in the heart of Amsterdam adjacent to the Red Light District. I liked the check-in process where we unlocked the keys with a code from a lockbox, and returned them to the same lockbox when we checked out. We found the place clean, and found no bugs or pests, unless you left the unscreened window open, then flies would come in and pigeons were curious. The bed itself was very comfortable, but the pillows, especially the throw pillows, could use a good cleaning. The room itself felt safe, with a locking door on the street and another locking door to the room. We had no troubles with security. The AC unit on the wall worked, after we plugged it in and figured out how to use it. This very much reminded us of the kind of place we would have stayed at for a party weekend while we were in college. Great view of the Ouda Kirk through the windows, which served as our landmark to always find our way back. The room did not resemble the photos at all. To be honest, it looked like it had been trashed and the owner was in the process of trying to repair it. There was a big hole in the bathroom door that someone had kicked in. There was absolutely no decoration, aside from an oddly placed dream catcher over the bed, and some sun-related mirror sticker. The TV was small and far away, it looked like it had been recently replaced, with no cord organization at all. Walls were a flat white. The wifi was slow and basically unusable. We used our phone data instead, which was much faster. The whole room was rough and kind of unfinished. The bathroom was nicer than the room, but the shower door didn't close properly and leaked all kinds of water on the bathroom floor that we sopped up with towels. The windows were large and heavy, but we found out how to open one of them and let the room air out. The stairs... This is a typcial Dutch living area with a long staircase with stairs that aren't very wide. We knew about this going in, though, so we really can't complain. Getting luggage in and out was a struggle, but like I said, we knew. There was only one nightstand, so we took one of the chairs and used it as a makeshift. The negatives of the room aside, the location made up for it. You're right in the middle of everything, not far from the train station and all the different attractions of Amsterdam. And honestly, we had a great time. Did we wish the room were updated and better? Yes. But I'd do it again just for the location.

Buenas camas, limpieza, amplitud, luz natural. Cerca de Central Station No tenia una pequeña mesa para apoyar al menos una taza de te. La entrada tiene escaleras realmente muy empinadas. Hubiera sido ideal una microondas Lo demas, todo bien.

La escalera es muy angosta con escalones altos, eso dificulta para subir la maletas pero es normal. No había tostadora, ni televisor ni heladería en la habitación. Pero nos arreglamos bien!

• yapıcı (3/5): Location okay, heating is problem - Location was good, close to central station. Heating was problem, ıt was hard to heat the room by air conditioner. Therefore, it was pretty cold both inside and outside of the room. Additionally, there was trash in the drawer from previous guests.
• Karine (8/5): Pratique et très bien situé - La maison qui héberge les 2 logements proposés est parfaitement située : tout se fait à pied ! Partie commune (petite cuisine et salon) très bien. Le logement était ok... mais n'était pas celui réservé (a priori, problème de double réservation). Des 2 logements, proposés au même endroit et même prix, l'un est un peu plus spacieux et doté d'une vue, l'autre (celui que nous avons eu...) légèrement plus petit mais surtout, donne sur un mur (cour intérieure). Accès très simple (boîte à clés) ; propriétaire réactif. . L'échange de réservation... sans un mot, comme si de rien n'était. C'est en revérifiant les photos que j'ai constaté qu'il y avait eu une inversion. . Des finitions qui laissent à désirer.

• Dirk (7/5): - Lage Größe des Zimmers Nette Vermieterin Kaffee und Tee im Zimmer Im Badezimmer hat der Heizkörper leider nicht funktioniert. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war während des gesamten Aufenthalts unbeheizt und wirkte dadurch ungemütlich. Zudem wurde in der Küche ein Bett gelagert, was den Eindruck beeinträchtigte. Im Zimmer selbst wäre ein kleiner Tisch wünschenswert gewesen, da es für Geschäftsreisende keine Möglichkeit gab, am Tisch zu arbeiten.

Everything was clearly explained and described and everything was smooth. The host was very quick to reply, even answering simple queries upon our arrival, which made our stay comfortable and pleasant.
• Manon Delabassé (8/5): - Emplacement super, à 2min de la gare centrale et situé derrière le quartier rouge donc vraiment en plein centre ville. La chambre qu'on a eu n'était pas celle en photo mais c'est peut-être pas plus mal car celle-ci donne en plein sur la rue ce qui peut-être bruyant comparé à l'autre qui donne sur un patio où seul le bruit de l'église vous berce. Le manque d'équipement comme une télé ou un frigo et micro-ondes aurait pu être apprécié. Ainsi que le manque de place pour poser ses valises/sacs Cela ne nous as pas déranger mais les escaliers sont très raides et étroits, si vous n'êtes pas à l'aise avec ce type d'escaliers c'est à éviter

• Nisa (10/5): Keyifli - İki gün konakladığımız otel. Konumu çok merkezi, merkez istasyonuna yürüyerek rahatça ulaşabilirsiniz ve turistik yerlere de yakın. Bol bol çay ve kahve gibi ikramlıklar da bırakmışlar. Yastıklar ve yatak yeterince rahattı. Kaldığımız süre boyunca herhangi bir konforsuzluk yaşamadık. Tuvalet temiz. Buzdolabı, kahve makinesi, kurutma makinesi gibi eşyaların da bulunması çok iyi. Biz memnun kaldık. Tek sorun pencerenin başka bir binaya bakıyor olması, yani karşıda birisi kalıyorsa orayı da görebiliyorsunuz ya da sizi görebilirler rahatça. Ayrıca merdiven inanılmaz dik yani sanırım Amsterdam’ın genelinde böyle ama yine de dikkat edilmeli. Genel olarak beğenmediğim şey çok az, büyük sorun değillerdi.

• Soojin (6/5): Great location - The location was excellent, and communication with the host was smooth. The room was spacious and clean, though it didn’t quite match the photos. The room was quite cold at first, and it took a long time to heat up—I had to sleep with several layers on the first night. The kitchen was also very cold, so I had to wear a jacket while using it. The stairs were really steep, which made it difficult to carry my luggage up. The mattress was quite small, but the pillow and comforter were really comfortable.

• Tina (5/5): Passable - The location was very close to transit and getting around to many other attractions in the city. Maria was very responsive to our concerns after we got there. The room is a very decent size, very clean, and having a fully stocked kitchen was great. Even though we didn't use it, Loved the selection of coffee and tea bags that were in our room. I love the bedroom slippers as well. The stairs to get to our room were an absolute nightmare. We had no idea about those stairs. Had we known that,I would not have msde a booking in the first place. It was freezing in the room,no proper heating, we were told to use the A.C unit to heat the room, and there was a small portable heater as well, it wasn't enough to heat up the room, because the room is quite sizable. The hallways were completely dark when we got there but was resolved quickly by Maria. The shower was like being in a freezer. The heated towel rack was not working. The plug seemed to have been cut off of it. It smelled really weird after taking a couple of showers, There were heaps of trash outside the doorway the morning we were leaving. We had to kick it out of the way to make a path to get to the sidewalk
• David (10/5): First off, the location is pretty easy to find, and has a sign. Secondly, these are Dutch stairs so people need to be aw - Perfectly located near Centraal and Red Light District. Comfortable beds, dining room has everything, and large rooms with beautiful views. Nothing.
• Jonathan (6/5): The accommodation met our needs. - Basic shared necessities of a kitchen although we are out. The rubbish outside the front door every morning. That’s only because we are in the centre of a busy area for locals and tourists.

• Elizabeth (5/5): Passable - The price was reasonable for Amsterdam. It seemed clean & shampoo etc .. was supplied. We were not told there were 2 flights of very steep, very narrow steps. It is dangerous getting our suitcases up & especially down. The black protrusion between the bathroom & bedroom is a tripping hazard. The neighborhood is not nice at all. We thought it was an apartment, not a room with a communal kitchen. We also did not realize there was no one at the location to check us in, answer questions, or provide help. We should have been told these things & not discovered it upon arrival. We could have made a different choice. One of the beds was a piece of foam that collapsed when you sat on it. Not very comfortable. The multiple electric cords were probably not legal.
• Elizabeth (8/5): The room was large,clean, and considering its location very very quiet . - Breakfast not applicable , it wasn’t included and despite the acronym BNB it isn’t a catered BNB establishment , however facilities are there for guest use . Communication with host was easy timely and accurate including a warning months ago of a phishing scam . Roomy ensuite with excellent hot water. Tea and coffee , electric kettle, mugs and small fridge in room as well as all items required for simple meal preparations in kitchen for guest use . Location is central to everything within easy walk . Would recommend this establishment . Having never been to Amsterdam before I wasn’t aware of just how steep the entrance stairway might be and we are travelling with larger bags rather than over night/weekend getaway cabin size bags . A flight of 17 very steep steps which were also much narrower steps than we are used to . Much easier to ascend /descend with foot sideways when carrying the bags for maximum balance .

We wish that the host had included a picture of the door and the two businesses that it was located between. We walked right past it twice, trying to find it!

• Charlotte (7/5): A nice stay in Amsterdam - Very comfy beds, great location near the station, really quiet despite being on a busy noisy street, easy to find and get in, nice hot shower, free tea and coffee and a fridge to keep things in if needed. The place could do with a bit of a spruce up, the room is a bit tired with some broken things (e.g. hooks on doors) - the door handle even came off at one point! The furniture is a mish mash of stuff, including a strange tall table with the fridge on that has gum stuck underneath. It's not a BNB either as no breakfast is provided, so bit of a misleading name. Overall didn't feel it was worth the money.

There was a noisy generator / air con or lift elsewhere in the property that was very noisy day and night which made sleeping difficult. Be clear there is no breakfast BNB title makes it sounds like there is - although plenty of places to get food nearby.

• Anonymous (6/5): For the location, it was good. - It’s in the heart of Amsterdam - really close to everything. The shower was clogged and pooled to our ankles. The owner did come check it but he needed to purchase something to fix it. I was creeped out by the animal skin on the wall (but this is just a personal preference).
• Joanne (6/5): Pleasant - There is no breakfast option and no information where to go for breakfast. Photo on website shows food but this is no longer available. Room was fine - beds comfy. Very central location. No handsoap, hairdryer didn't appear to work, no information on where to go for breakfast - no map or guide book, no staff on site to review with, no tourist info at all, lots of coffee gadgets but no instructions on how to use any of it and no coffee.

• Jennifer (4/5): Unless you are absolutely desperate to stay in the red light district pick something else. - The location is close to the central station, surprisingly quiet in the room, property manager is responsive. Could not leave luggage there before check in resulting in me having to kill 2 hours waiting on a luggage holding place to open, stairs are quite steep and narrow and it is hard to manage luggage, the room is worn with curtains off the rod, missing hook in bathroom, outlets loose in the wall, curtains do not block the light well, only non refundable/no cancellation option at booking.
• Tobias (9/5): Superb - Great location and room was well equipped In the photos the kitchen area is not part of the apartment so a common area shared with the other rooms and the entrance is quite hard to find we walked past it 3 times before finding it. It's just a little door next to one of the shops! The beds were also very narrow but other than that I was happy with the room it was surprisingly quiet given the location

• Dean (9/5): Superb - Good location in City Center. Nice dining area with refrigerator and microwave. Beds were somewhat small. We had no heat the first night as we did not have remote control for heat pump. It was left for us the second day of our stay and then we were fine.
• Ryan (4/5): Not worth more than 100EU per night - Well located Was extremely disappointed that there was no one onsite to address my concerns, AC was to be included but the remote was missing and it took half of my stay for the property to produce it. My messages, via booking.com were apparently not delivered to the property and it wasn't until the last day of my stay that some representative with very limited interest in addressing my concerns finally contacted me via WhatsApp. I was also expecting breakfast to be included, both because it calls itself a BNB and the website for the property centres around the breakfast as well as the on-site host Ria, who apparently doesn't exist. I paid a lot of money for my stay and did not appreciate all the hassle I encountered, in addition to feeling mislead by the property's website and incredibly poor service. Cannot recommend

• Hazel (6/5): Perfect location but overpriced for the room would say 2 star. - excellent location right in the middle of everything No coffee to drink or milk, tray in the room with a few tea bags on but that was all. No coffee or milk in the kitchen only tea bags, husband had to go to the shop on waking. Beds very small and very hard, only 1 pillow each. No bath mat in bathroom and empty soap bottle next to sink. Air conditioning unit but no remote to use it, window only opened slightly.

• Emma (9/5): It was fab - Your really can't get a better location for your stay- a few minutes walk from the station right in the heart of things but also quiet at night as the rooms are at the back- it was great! We could keep nipping back in the day so was perfect...The communal area was so handy for making a few lunches & things and had everything we wanted in it. The heating was a bit hard to figure out and a bit noisy but the host was very helpful!
