Blanco solis (5/5): Comentario visita mayo 2026 - El lugar, tiene una zona verde linda, la temática es atractiva y diferente. Bonita iluminación de colores. No hay quién cuide y abra el portón, en el área de la piscina habían varias ranas dentro del agua, el desagüe del baño no funcionaba y se inundó, solicitamos ayuda al administrador del lugar e ignoró nuestro mensaje, no tuvimos respuesta. Por WhatsApp te atiende un tipo llamado Antony, el cuál no conocimos ya que el trato siempre fue por ese medio, sin embargo, se le nota una extremada falta de un adecuado servicio al cliente, le solicitamos permiso para que nuestro chek Out fuera una hora después de la hora prevista, y la respuesta de él fue amenazando, que él a las 11 ingresaba a nuestra habitación y sacaba nuestras pertenecencias. No hay suficientes objetos de aseo personal, toallas, papel higiénico, shampoo o jabón, no hay cobijas. En fin el lugar es bonito, pero el trato del administrador genera gran desconfianza y temor en tu estadía.

Arnoldo (1/5): LA PEOR EXPERIENCIA DE MI VIDA - La verdad es que no rescato nada del alojamiento y mucho menos del servicio al cliente. Lo peor de todo es el servicio al cliente, el dueño es una persona mal educada y no logra comunicar sus ideas de manera adecuada. Fuimos ahí porque era semana santa y nos agarró tarde para reservar y viendo las fotos uno pensaría que la relación precio-calidad vale la pena, pero la verdad es que no lo vale. Es la peor experiencia que he tenido, vamos a los puntos: 1) Hice la reseva a traves de booking, en la página dice que no requiere pago anticipado y que el pago completo se hace en las instalaciones, pero resulta que el señor estaba pidiendo el pago total de la estadía por adelantado, como le dije que no era seguro para mi, entonces me dijo que entonces le hiciera un depósito de garantía antes de las 3 pm y que si no cancelaba la reservación(2 días antes), por la urgencia averigue un poco y me di cuenta que no era una estafa y que el dueño simplemente trata mal a la gente y amenaza según leí en las resenas, entonces accedí e hice el pago del depósito de garantía por 50 mil, luego cuando le informé que no iba. poder llegar a las 3pm a hacer el check in me dijo que a las 5pm cerraba su contabilidad y que debía pagar el resto antes de esa hora, yo ya estaba en Guanacaste por lo cual accedí. Luego, las instalaciones le faltan mucho mantenimiento,la cocina con un refrigeradoa sucia y llena de comidas viejas , una cocina de gas que no tiene las perillas , unos limpiones sucios y el lava platos y esponja igual de sucias, un perro y un gato durmiendo en ella entre los platos y los vasos, la piscina super sucia. Al dueño que no es tico y no habla bien el idioma debería colocar sus descripciones en chatgpt o algo para que le traduzca correctamente ya que el dice que es un hotel de lujo y que hay restaurante y otro tipo de cosas que no corresponden con la realidad. Al final de la instancia me escribió para insultarme sin motivo alguno, de verdad les digo: NO LO VEAN COMO UNA OPCION por mas que se vea barato, no vale la pena el estres y el maltrato que se recibe.

Estaba sucio de pasta dental el lavamanos, no servía la plantilla de inducción, las ventanas no tenían cortinas, por lo tanto la privacidad no existió, no habían cobijas, habia comida congelada en el refrigerador, había una puerta frente al cuarto que tenía un temperado mal puesto por lo tanto todo se veía para dentro justamente al frente del cuarto, la ubicación dice tamarindo pero estaba a 7km de la calle principal y la calle era lastre y malas condiciones, partes del techo en mal estado, mala iluminación en el área de la piscina, el anfritrion no dejó de fumar Marihuana. Muy educado pero igual no deja de causar inseguridad.

El aire acondicionado chorreaba agua, no tenía luces internas en la habitación. Dice que hospedaje Tamarindo pero está muy lejos de Tamarindo lo que confunde al Cliente.

Gonzalez (4/5): Pésimo - El lugar es lindo por su naturaleza y temática o diseño del lugar Es un poco triste saber que escogimos este lugar para que casi 25 personas tuviéramos un excelente fin de semana y definitivamente no pudimos disfrutar como debíamos, las instalaciones están deterioradas, las puertas de una de las casas no se podían cerrar, los llavines de los baños de una habitación no se podía cerrar la puerta porque no le servía el picaporte, la cocina está en mal estado, la piscina tiene un cable de las luces guindando lo cual puede ser peligroso para cualquier persona, no cuenta con los artículos ni tan siquiera de limpieza, no había jabón de manos ni tan siquiera papel higiénico, ocupábamos lavar platos y el dueño fue grosero al decirnos que eso lo teníamos que comprar nosotros, lo cual me pareció extraño ya que en este tipo de lugares siempre tienen este tipo de cosas. El dueño es una persona prepotente y altanera, llegó a exigirnos que nos faltaban 40 minutos teníamos que salir del lugar, es una persona incómoda, odiosa y mal educada, definitivamente si quieren sentirse como si fueran chiquitos regañados vayan a ese lugar, por solo moverse ya está incómodo

Daniel (9/5): Volveré sin dudarlo - Tiene muchas áreas verdes, las habitaciones están bien, son cómodas. La cocina compartida permite comer a pesar de no tener restaurante cerca. La piscina es pequeña pero muy bonita. Cuenta con parqueo dentro de la propiedad. El propietario es una excelente persona y siempre esta en disposición de ayudar con cualquier necesidad durante la estancia. No esta cerca de la playa pero tiene una muy buena ubicación para ir en vehículo o para relajarse sin el ruido de Tamarindo. Para el ingreso el portón no es eléctrico ni tienen seguridad o alguien que lo abra por lo que si esta lloviendo se mojan. El baño es demasiado oscuro, para bañarse hay que entrar con un foco o similar.

Erica (10/5): Muy bonito - El alojamiento es muy bonito, muy tranquilo. La habitación genial, tiene todo lo necesario el aire funciona estupendo y la vistas al jardín geniales. El wifi funciona genial. La zona común estupenda tiene todo lo que necesitas en la cocina para hacerte cena , comida etc. El jardín, la piscina y alrededor excelente, precioso en general. El colchón es bastante blanco y las almohadas muy gordas. Al agua de la ducha le falta potencia y el ventilador del techo no fuimos capaces de hacerlo funcionar.

alvarez (6/5): Regular - Las instalaciones La atención del personal, antes de llegar le hice algunas preguntas y la respuesta fue si acaso no había leído la descripción de la publicación, luego la segunda noche me dió fiebre y vómitos le pedí una frazada y la respuesta fue suba el aire acondicionado y que estábamos en verano sin entender que con fiebre uno tiene frío igual, el punto es la forma, ofrecer alguna solución de buena manera, al día siguiente ofreció medicina pero por qué no fue el día del problema ? O quizás con alguna otra sábana o lo que sea para ayudar en vez de tratar de forma despectiva decir que estamos en verano y que me las arregle con el aire acondicionado. A final mi pareja a pesar del calor, subió el aire para darme un poco de confort esa noche con fiebre y me cubrió con unas toallas de playa que nosotros teníamos para pasar una mejor noche.

Nick (4/5): This once lovely place has deteriorated. - A few years ago, this hotel was fantastic – a unique and charming concept. Unfortunately, it has now fallen into serious decline. The bathrooms are dirty and clearly poorly maintained. The air conditioning units don’t work properly, and there’s not even a blanket on the bed, presumably to save on electricity costs. The sheets are worn out and the pillows are of poor quality. Paint is peeling off the walls, adding to the overall neglected appearance. The electric gate, which is truly necessary for safety, no longer works. This made me feel personally unsafe, especially with the car parked on the property. The shared kitchen was once a highlight, but is now run-down and no longer has any decent kitchenware available. It’s a real shame to see how this once lovely place has deteriorated.

Maria (10/5): Exceptional - It’s a really nice property surrounded by nature and all the animals around, it’s a quiet place, private parking, the owner was very friendly, I highly recommend this place 🌟 Take note that the location is far from the tourist town of Tamarindo, but if you get a car it’s ok :)

Daniel (1/5): Don't go here! - This is the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel . Within one minute of paying the fee the owner text me calling my girlfriend a prostitute, telling us it's a non-drinking location when they're publicity says "bar on site" telling us we're bothering the other guest at the hotel. Keep in mind we've been at the property for 1 minute now! I spoke to the only other couple in the hotel, and they did not complain. The owner refused to speak on the phone only wanted to text never met us. An unbelievably horrible experience. I recommend full boycott of this property. The owner is a scared little rat who wouldn't talk on the phone didn't meet us and had the gall to call my girlfriend of 5 years a prostitute. A worm of a man.

Katherine (9/5): Worth it!!!! - Warm welcome from the owner, super friendly, speaks english/french/spanish and maybe more?! He showed us around and helped us around town. The pyramids are beautiful and cozy. 15min from the main street and beaches of Tamarindo, which are beautiful, so it's nice and quiet when you go to sleep.

Mafe (3/5): It’s an okay stay if all you need is a bed, just not okay at that price point. - I guess the pool was the main attraction. The rooms were the absolute bare minimum. It’s very much hostel vibes, you’re basically renting the beds but even the beds, sheets and curtains in the space were very low quality. The curtains were ripped and didn’t even cover our space properly. Sheets were very low quality too. The bathroom was dirty it had an ant infestation. And the location wasn’t great. Absolutely not recommended for people traveling without a car.

Judith (1/5): Abandoned staying here due to site not as expected/disrespectful host - We ended up not staying here… It was not as we expected-when Host asked how things were, we told him per “What’s App”, that there was no microwave, mini fridge, ceiling fan not working he became disrespectful & unkind-(had not used app. much) & told us we could have a free cancellation if we left it clean/tidy. Also, said we could not use the main fridge- He was not on premise. Very barren-It was ~1 to 1.5 mile on a dirt road - not have felt safe here for the night. We went onward to another hotel for the night, which worked out luckily. We had not paid for the prior one. Thank you. See above.
Karol (8/5): We were 6 people, stayed 2 nights in a family trip. - The location was perfect for us. The villa was nice! The beds were comfortable and the ACs worked perfectly. There are 2 lovely dogs 💕in the property. Parking was safe and closed, The villa has only 1 bathroom, they don't accept any type of cards, they say the description and policies say that, but it seems like the owner and us have different descriptions. No microwave in the kitchen.
Margot (10/5): Pyramid Lodge exceeded our expectations, especially the fantastic breakfast. - The breakfast was the best we've had in Costa Rica since our arrival 2 weeks ago. It was delicious. Thanks to the staff who made it. Our host/owner was awesome. Everything was great. We have no complaints at all.
Judi (2/5): Stay somewhere else! - I do NOT recommend this hotel. The owner told me via text that this was a luxury hotel. Not even close. The bed offers no support and you cannot sit up in bed and read because of the angle of the wall. The sheets are a cheap polyester and had a rip in them. The pillows are a lumpy foam and not very comfortable. The fan didn't work. There is no shampoo. The breakfast is included but very plain. Just eggs rice and beans with a single crepe. No hot sauce for eggs or jam for the crepe. He brags about frequently traveling around the world but is too cheap to have basic condiments. I have been to Costa Rica multiple times and this is the first place I have stayed that I did not like. The owner. (not from Costa Rica) What a jerk. I thought the gate to the property was locked and texted the owner to please let me in and he texted back NO. After standing there for awhile wondering how I was going to get in to get my things the owner finally texted the gate is open. I thought it was locked. He caused me a ton of stress just to be spiteful. The location is very far from everything and during the busy season it is very difficult to get a taxi, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have a car but I wouldn't recommend staying here period.
