• Rene (6/5): Not what I was expecting but ok for a short stop over. - Location was great Wasn’t what I was expecting, it was a bedroom in a house. It had a funny smell to it when inside.

• zhang (10/5): - A surprising and lovely room! The host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was great, with a private and super clean bathroom. Every detail was well taken care of. The only small problem is that the bed is a bit short, but since I’m staying alone, that’s fine—it’s more like my own issue. Yesterday, it took me just a bit over 20 minutes from the airport — taking the SkyTrain and then walking here. If you need to catch a flight the next day and don’t want to travel too far, this is definitely the place to stay.

• Stephanie (5/5): This is a convenient and economical place to stay for a quick visit. - It was a great location, close to the skytrain airport. My bedroom and bathroom were very clean and it was great to have coffee provided in my room. The house was quiet and in a safe neighborhood. The host is very friendly. The kitchen and downstairs living area reflected a busy family home and I didn’t feel comfortable accessing those rooms. Also there was a cat and some smells associated with that.

Good location for public transit (10 min walk to skytrain, 5 to bus). Quiet street, very pleasant location. Owners expect guests to take off shoes at entry. No lift (second floor room). Wasn't able to make ac work. There's a cat, and a tiny bit of cat smell coming from outside the room, but my alergies did not flare up, so the cleaning must be good.

The location is nearby the skytrain station with supermarket and restaurants. The room is on second floor very clean with mobile air-conditioner. She provide extra effort to offer me umbrella in rainy day though I have one. The main floor sitting room is a bit crowded with items but I have no concern. Overall I highly recommended this for solo traveller. Nil

• Jordan (9/5): This was a great stay for a night. Would definitely stay longer too! - I did not get the add-on breakfast. The location was good! Short 10 minute walk to the shopping center around the corner and a jappadog food truck.

Window looked onto wall. No milk nor cream. No fridge. I could probably have asked – but I didn’t see anybody and was too tired; I didn’t want to interact.

Comfortable & clean. Good privacy for a room in someone's home. Communication with the host was very prompt. I missed the room key initially, maybe a mention of that and welcome. A recycling bin would have proved useful.
• John (8/5): For my brief time in Vancouver it was fine. - I didn't know about the breakfast. I appreciated the help provided with carrying my bags up and down the stairs. It was quiet and clean I felt a bit isolated- I have some mobility issues so couldn't walk far - I couldn't see any cafes, shops etc.

• Hui (8/5): Great stay! - Just a short walk to marine drive sky train station. Helen and her husband were incredibly friendly and accommodating, helping to provide us with everything that we needed. The walls are a little thin making it a bit noisy, and the beds were slightly uncomfortable.

• Bajramov (9/5): I recommend ! - Quiet place to stay , easy to enter with the digicode sent 2 days before from the host. Very clean. The cat is there in house , attention for allergic person.
• Ian (10/5): Well situated for travellers - We stayed at Helen’s house for one night when travelling back from the Rockies before flying home to the UK. The house is superbly situated just a 5-10 mins walk to the Skytrain at Marine Drive, there is free parking in the street in which the property is situated and it took us just 10 mins to drive to the airport in the morning. The Skytrain Canada line also goes directly to the airport if you don’t have a rental car. Marine Drive is situated in zone 1 of the Skytrain network which makes it cheap and easy to get into downtown. The owner of the property was super flexible with timings as we arrived early which enabled us to see more of downtown during our stay before heading home. The property is clean, well presented and lots of little extras which made it very homely. Communication throughout was excellent. Good selection of cable tv for later in the evening and a small patio to enjoy a glass of wine before the sun goes down.
• Maureen (1/5): Dreadful - thankfully we are expecting a refund shortly - Location was fine being a few minutes walk from skytrain Absolutely dreadful place which was nothing like the description. Nothing to sit on except two very hard wooden dining chairs. TV didn't work. Used food left in the fridge - opened boxes of cereal left in cupboards. The bed was very strange - extremely hard with various layers of mattresses. No garden view or courtyard view as described. There was a decking but it was covered by the owner's clutter so nowhere to sit outside. the bathroom was full of opened toiletries which had been used by previous guests which is pretty disgusting. I have never stayed in such a disgusting place.

• Tomas (8/5): Very good - The bed was comfy. It was quiet most of the time. The owner seemed nice. The proximity to the skytrain station is the best thing about the place. Real canadian superstore is close as well and there is an asian supermarket by the skytrain station. I understand that its necessary for safety but every time somebody enters the house there is a loud peeping sound that can easily wake you up. As mentioned in other reviews, there is too much stuff around :).

The apartment is really well located, on the metro line connecting the city center with the airport, so both sides are easily accessible from here. The room was really comfy and accessible. The neighborhood was safe and normal.

It was a smooth and easy process, and the hosts were so friendly, flexible and accommodating. The house was very close to the Skytrain station - easy access to downtown and the airport. Quiet enough to have a good night's sleep, even though it was still early evening! Nothing! It all worked out well.

I wanted to watch some tv for I was jetlagged by 15 hours ahead of Vancouver time. I noticed there was Netflix on the tv, but no instructions on how to use the remote. It was the rooms only down fall.

The condition of the property was okay, nothing more. The apartment is a little too cluttered and not that clean (I suspect there are too many items to clean prior to every rental - there must have been at least a dozen different shower gels and shampoo!). The apartment was a little dark

• Louis (5/5): Disappointment - Shower Tiny apartment & the bed was like a brick. Could have had ice made but had Empty trays in the freezer. Garden hose across the sidewalk made it hard to get to the back where our room was.
• Therese (8/5): Comfortable. - I was not aware that breakfast was included. Coffee was available and chocolate bars, which I would not call breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. It would have been appreciated to at least have a note welcoming me and letting me know where my room was. I had to go through the whole house to figure out which room was mine. In addition, there was a young male there and no one else in the house. I did feel a bit uncomfortable for us being alone in the house. A woman did come in later to greet me, which allayed my concerns.

The house was located close to the sky train to take you into the city or the airport. It was in a nice quiet location in a nice area of Vancouver. I didn't realise when I booked that the room is located upstairs with 3 other people living in the house, right next to the room. I thought the room would be separate to the house. One of the people was on their phone speaking loudly until 1am so I couldn't get a good night's sleep. I thought this was a bit inconsiderate knowing that there are guests staying in the next room. There were very few options for restaurants/cafes nearby.

• Angela (7/5): Pleasant place to stay - A variety of basic cooking facilities with most utensils supplied, coffee maker, some condiments etc, meant we could make a meal and have a decent breakfast etc. Washing machine & dryer. Less than a 10min walk to skybus and shops (supermarket, restaurants, picture theatre, drug store etc) Area felt really safe. Nice sunny back porch to have dinner on the steps.
