- Lynda (1/5): Disappointed - Location Unsafe no fire alarms in rooms, rotten floor decking, unable to lock bedroom, musky smell to linen and aircon

- Robert (8/5): Peaceful place with friendly hosts. -
- Ethel (7/5): Mostly great, if a bit tired around the edges. - The location easy to find and was really beautiful in a forested garden with crystal clear creek babbling by. Very close to Paranella Park and Mena Creek Hotel. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond washing our dishes and making terrific coffee at 5.00am to accomodate our early departure. The accomodation was well laid out allowing space, privacy and peace, or conversation and shared time. The breakfast was disappointing and did not meet my expectations based on photos and wording on the site's webpage. Eggs on toast was nutritious and the bread was nice but 'tropical' involves fruit etc. Despite this, We had a nice time. It suited our purpose well and we would stay there again.
- Peter (9/5): Felt like we were in the middle of a tropical fotest - Really felt we were in the middle of a tropical forest with the sound of the steam below. Peter was very friendly and made us a nice breskfast with great coffee. Nothing. All good.
- Sharon (9/5): -
- Bill (7/5): Unique B and B. - It is a unique b and b, maybe not to everyone's taste. It is quite close to Paronella Park. Peter welcomed us with a cup of tea and he made a nice eggs on toast for breakfast. There is a deck which overlooks a creek running through the rain forest. The entry to the property can be a little bit hard to find especially in the dark.
- Eva (8/5): I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. - A choice of two meals for breakfast, my two fresh croissants with melted cheese was delicious. Very friendly hosts, a gorgous cottage in the middle of the rainforest with a seating area outside where you could listen to the rainforest birds and creek below. A room with ensuite was a bonus. A small wall fan in the bedroom would keep the air circulating.
- Reid (10/5): Tropical bliss comfort - The peace and serenity along with very accommodating management made our stay very enjoyable, loved our stay. Nothing.
- Kerrie (7/5): Peace, serenity, just a wonderful place to be . Best nights sleep ! - Unique , rainforest location, hosts. Found a sense of peace being amongst the trees and listening to running creek and rainforests sounds was lovely . Bed very very comfy. We slept 11 hours . !!!! Best sleep in all our travelling N/a.
- Ian (10/5): A peaceful break. - Comfortable, eclectically decorated cottage set above a babbling brook, surrounded by jungle. Peter and Steve are gracious and helpful hosts. A peaceful stay. Parking was tight but can’t be helped given the setting.
- Ron (8/5): - The setting in rainforest above a set of rapids in a lovely creek is amazing. This provides a 24hour ambient soundtrack. The sheltered eeck above the creek is a very relaxing place to be. Funky , interesting decor. Great hosts who are interesting to talk with and cook you breakfast and do your laundry.
- Katharine (10/5): Stay here! - Had a lovely time. Peter and Steve were fantastic hosts. In the dark it’s a little tricky to find the entrance but a big welcome awaits! The room was very comfortable, the en suite perfect with plenty of hot water!
- Kathy (9/5): What a delightful hideaway! - Steve and Peter were friendly and welcoming. Their enthusiasm for their prooerty, and love for the beauty of the immediate environmemt was imfectious. They were generous with their time and their amenities, and i only wish i had had more time to absorb it all!! Nothing.
- Sonia (10/5): Thank you Peter and Steve we absolutely loved your place but we also loved the beautiful humans you both are. The enviro - It’s such a peaceful place where you feel like in a middle of jungle 💜 River down there could be noisy, but it actually works as a white noise 😇
- Trudy (8/5): - Peter greated us and was really nice. The mattress in our room needs replacing as it was sunk to the middle and one side. Outside requires a tidy just to make first impression good. We loved the house and the quirkiness..
- Trish & Crispin (9/5): Serenity- Tropical Bliss - Bliss. So peaceful on the deck, listening to the creek. A great place to meditate & relax. Serenity. Beautiful artworks with interesting stories.
Peter & Steve were generous of their time with information & a book to read about Paronella Park. Stay here if you visit the Park & read more about the history.
Breakfast choice was scrumptious, thankyou Peter 😋.
A real BnB. Charlotte.
But I came to appreciate she was an intrigal part of the eco system.
- Anne (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was great. Location great. A very quaint cottage. Excellent experience
- Sharni (10/5): Cosy getaway - Very comfortable and cosy getaway with lovely hosts that made me feel very welcome in the space
- Bella (10/5): Too short, will be back again :) - the scenery and how accommodating Peter and Steve were :)
- Leanne (10/5): Awesome - The Host was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable on the local information. I'd Highly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed!!!
- William (5/5): Great surround. - Close to Paranela Park. Wasn't the cleanest place I have stayed at
- Rikki_tikki (9/5): A patch of Tropical Bliss amongst the rainforest - The seclusion amongst the tranquil rainforest.
Peter & Steve were great, nothing was too much trouble & were easy to talk to.
The sound of the flowing creek was just Bliss 😊 Didn't spend enough time there 🙁
- Peter (9/5): Lovely hosts, breakfast eggs but be prepared for byo dinner or take a trip to the pub about ten minutes away for dinner - Rustic, gorgeous setting above a running creek. Fabulous bathroom, deathly quiet surroundings for a great nights sleep and some beautiful bird sounds surprisingly at night 😃 Hard to find but worth it when you do.
- Rhonda (10/5): friendly, clean and tidy ans very welcoming - the eco feel and location close to Paronella Park
- Peter (10/5): Pleasant surprise - Warm welcome. Amazing setting with a river at their door step. Falling asleep to the sound of that river was magical. Fantastic conversations with both Peter and Steve. Great guys with amazing stories and great travel tips for my future camping spots in the Kimberley region. Yummy eggs on toast for breakfast and even better, a pea & ham soup that Peter gifted me for my journey. Peter that soup was a party in my mouth, so so delicious. I can't thank you enough. I will definitely be back.
- Kathy (10/5): - 11/10.Excellent place to relax.Would definitely stay here again.Highly recommend.😊
- Andrich (10/5): Exceptional - Steve and Pete are amazing hosts! The Bed and Breakfast is located next to a creek and into the rainforest, so the views are beautiful.
- Karen (1/5): Was not prepared to stay after the dog growled and found alternate accommodation. - It was not a unit as per the description. Just a room in the owners house. Kitchen was the owners with a dog free roaming inside. The approach to the property needed a good clean and tidy up. The ‘ensuite’ was actually outside on a deck. The door to the room only had a latch to secure it .
- Bob (9/5): Great going to sleep to the sound of the creek. - Breakfast was good and the coffee even better.
- Kristaps (7/5): Good -
- Paula (1/5): Bad experience - Quietness of the place. Host treated me like I was a bad person.
Rude and bad owner, threw my stuff inside the uber car and threatened me that he will call the police cause we are on his property.
He accepted my booking then kicked me out.
Uber driver got scared of the host.
- Abigail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fattahian (1/5): Bad - Very dirty, impossible to stay
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional - We spent only one night at the B&B. We were welcomed by Peter on our arrival at the property. He introduced us to this magical space in the middle of the forest and he explained how things worked there.
Since the beginning he was super nice and polite with us, so we give a 10/10 to his personality. The location was perfect for us, as it was on our way to the south. We slept really well and early in the morning we received an amazing and tasty homemade breakfast. Another 10/10.
I would just add it's a place far from the chaos of the big city, in the middle of the jungle, you definitely need a car to move around and get ready to be surrounded by nature.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Peter is just an amazing host. Had super nice conversations with him and his place is just a delight to stay at. The place is indeed a tropical bliss and it is just uplifting to stay there. Bed was comfy, bathroom clean, dogs cute, do you need anything else? I mean there are bugs, but what would you expect if you're in Australia?
- Miroslaw (9/5): Superb - This facility is provided by two nice guys, they are full of hostpiltality, they really care. Room was big, clean and nice designed. Breakfast - freshly made, delicious. And the sourrounding - astonishing, middl e of a jungle!
- Corrina (9/5): I would stay here again. - This was a lovely studio in a great location nothing
- Macilroy (10/5): amazing , relaxing , great hosts - very relaxing and great hosts and beautiful breakfast. would recommend to anyone.
5 start nothing
- Jamie (9/5): Superb - Our host, Peter, was absolutely wonderful! Our bed was super comfortable. Although I didn't realise the guest roomswould be such close quarters we had our own private bathroom (newly renovated!) and a quiet balcony with a gorgeous view. Peter offered tea and coffee of a morning and was just lovely. It was a very comfortable and homely stay, with gorgeous running creek view below. Would definitely stay again!
- Ceri (9/5): Had the best sleep listening to the creek running all night and woke up to a hearty and delicious breakfast. - Friendly greeting, easy to find, close to local attractions.
- Denise (10/5): - Quirky charming
- Tania (10/5): Creek side peace and relaxation amongst the trees. - Lovely natural environment. Very pretty. Comfortable room and a welcoming home and host. I liked all of it.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location and very friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean and comfortable.
- Tomasz (9/5): A great experience. - Excellent breakfast prepared and served by the owner. New bathroom. Location a bit remote both pro or con, up to what one is looking for.
- Jill (10/5): Loved it - Great value for money, unique location, lush rainforest, running creek, great hosts, yummy breakfast
- Diego (10/5): Exceptional - Peter is an amazing host, the location is incredible
- Gordon (10/5): Totally enjoyed our stay felt like we had a second home. Thanks for the homemade bread for breakfast - Friendly hosts, clean comfy bed. Loved the stream soothing us to sleep.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional - The location was absolutely wonderful with amazing views and atmosphere
and the people there were kind and friendly.
- Christina (8/5): Very good - Unique and comfortable Parking
- Alexander (10/5): Nice stay in the tropical area - Very nice owner, green tropical place , convenient room, well equipped kitchen
- Eric (10/5): Memorable and great - Great place overlooking beautiful river , fantastic breakfast provided by great and friendly host , close to Paronella Park , will go back ck and stay there for sure , thanks Nothing all great
- Isidra (9/5): A great location for a getaway - Breakfast was excellent and great coffee All good 👍
- Cindy (5/5): The property needs improvements - This property has a lot of potential, but needs things done to get it to the standard it should be at to pay the amount of money it cost us to stay.
The tropical part of the property was beautiful. To be able to hear and see the running river was so relaxing.
It was very close to Parranella Park. The dinner at thepub was really yummy.
Peter was lovely and is the perfect host for the property once it's cleaned up around the outside.
The breakfast Peter cooked us was scrupulous. The verandah was NOT SAFE AT ALL. The top rail was down piping from guttering and moved a lot when I leant on it. The floor boards were rotting and broken under the carpet that had been layed over the top, I didn't not go on there again.
Just outside the bedroom was like a construction site and again was not safe with our children staying there.
The bathroom was mouldy in the tub/shower and curtain.
There was 2 dogs there and a cat. This was not in the booking description. I couldn't stop sneezing from the cat and my husband is also allergic to cats and had swollen/itchy eyes by the time we left.
The photos are not what you see when you arrive.
- Lisela (4/5): - This was a fun and different place to stay. I had french doors going out to the patio from the bedroom. The house has a river running past, so you have the lovely running river sounds to sleep to.
No A/C.
There is a heavy smell of wet dogs when you first walk to the house.
Peter and Steve (hopefully I remembered their names correctly) were wonderful people.
- Martin (9/5): Relaxing - Away from it all, no TV and no phone reception. Just the sounds of a creek close by to relax. Nothing
- Pam (7/5): Good - breakfast was great and very secluded
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing - I’m afraid this was not to our taste. The overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke throughout the premises, inside and out was unbearable.
- Noel (3/5): Poor - Friendly people Very average accommodation
- Philippe (9/5): Superb - The Quietness of the place
Great for retreat for disconnecting from busy place. The river flow sound is so refreshing with the wildlife.
Perfect poached eggs for breakfast was very nice with freshly brewed coffee. Not instant like all the places I have been previously.
Peter and Steve were very friendly and knowledgeable about surrounding , and also gave us space. Not much as we knew before hand that we would be sharing bathroom.
I can understand some people reaction if they aren't aware.
But honestly it is a nice place to relax
- Kylie (8/5): Peter was an excellent host. And really welcomed us into his home - Was peaceful and relaxing No phone signal but this added to being able to relax without distractions
- Tahnie (8/5): Very good -
- Anju (2/5): Very poor - Location is good It wasn’t clean rooms were stinking.
- Belinda (10/5): Sure was tropical bliss - It was so close to Paranella Park and so peaceful. I slept really well and Peter was a lovely host. Interesting, a good conversationalist, helpful and thoughful but also gives you your own space.
- Paul (9/5): If you want peace and bliss, then this is a great place to find it. - Delicious breakfast made by Peter with fresh eggs, tomatoes, and toast. The facility is aptly named and is quite serene and an overall enjoyable view with overabundance of green and blue. Swimming in the river is a bonus as were the 2 dogs and cat, which were also great company. Also great coffee by Steve (loved the suggestion with the use of honey as a substitute for sugar)! The bugs, but that is more a personal preference than anything. They certainly added to the experience of disconnecting from a busy life.
- Mary (7/5): Good -
- Tracey (4/5): Has lots to improve before offering to guests - Location was great Was shared with owner as well as other guests. Said we had use of kitchen etc but didn’t feel we could. Breakfast was given without checking..eggs on toast(what if somebody had an allergy??!!)
- Emma (1/5): Avoid, far from Par - I didn't say as the place was filthy Too dirty to stay and no response from the owners. Avoid!
- Luke (8/5): just an over night stay that is very close to Paronella Park - friendly owner and a great location by the creek nothing I didn't like
- Tracey (5/5): Not up to expectations! - Location was the best part! Hadn’t realised at the time that it was a shared bathroom with the owners (as my filter was private bathroom!)
Should be included on requirements that shoes need to be removed(I wear orthotics so found it uncomfortable!)
And breakfast should be listed so you can choose what you want as it was already in the process of being cooked which consisted of 2 eggs on toast!
- Kim (7/5): Homely relaxing comfortable easy to talk to host, not suited for a quick in and out stay over. - The host was very easy to get along with I guess I was expecting more of a private room with ensuited bathroom and lockable door not just latched. Had I been a friend or family it would have been wonderful with beautiful surrounds and atmosphere. And would recommend anyone who likes this form of experience that it is well worth staying here. But just not my cup of tea with wife. Peter was most helpful after we left, I thought I had left my electric toothbrush there he searched every where for it and called me to say he could not find it, I did find it in my luggage. Thanks Peter. I guess as I mentioned I expected more privacy and as much as I felt safe my wife would have preferred a locked door. The room was a bit cluttered, homely and comfortable but we had to keep moving our things around to be organized, just wasn't suitable for an overnight stay and quick in and out. Lovely people and house and surrounds just didn't suit us.
- Robyn (10/5): - Beautiful and relaxing :)
- Robert (5/5): Disappointing. - The eggs were cooked well but could have done with more than 3 slices of tomato and some ham or bacon would also have been nice. The bugs that were in the house. With the room that has outside access ( which we were in) the screen doors should be kept shut along with the doors to the rest of the house to keep the flies and bugs out. Curtains on the window to keep out the light so people can sleep in if they want to. Bathroom could be kept cleaner and it should be made clear that you would be sharing the bathroom with the hosts and other people who stay there.
- Adam (7/5): Good -
- Agnes (8/5): An enjoyable experience and the host very approachable and helpful and the location was indeed scenic. - proximity to tourist spots was excellent - Paronella Park, Mamu Skywalk and Mena Creek Hotel, bed was excellent providing a great nights sleep. Host is very friendly and a great egg cook.
- Bronwyn (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (9/5): Very enjoyable! - Loved listening to the rush of the water from the creek outside our bedroom window, breakfast was yummy.n n/a
- Julianne (7/5): Good -
- Jordan (4/5): We came, we met, we saw, we left to visit Paronella Park. We chose NOT to stay, with no refund capacity included! Very d - The location, near to Paronella Park. The standard & feel did not match the promoted pictures. Dated setup. No observed locks besides a hook on the bathroom door. Unusual, questionable, context.
- Birgit (6/5): - It was perfect location close to Parenella Park and easy drive to tablelands. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
- Stefano (8/5): Very good -
- Philip (4/5): Quiet, peaceful, yes, maybe, but relaxing, no, not at all. - Away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A bit weird and confusing. Only after I had booked and paid did they send information detailing the fact that although your bedroom is private to you, everything else is shared with other people meaning the two male hosts and the occupants of the other room directly beside you. The single toilet, kitchen, bathroom…everything is shared with total strangers. The wall between the two rooms was paper-thin meaning you could hear everything going on in there and they in yours. Unsettling it was. And not relaxing at all.
- Fiona (8/5): Great accomodation close to Paronella park - Peter was Very friendly and welcoming and the Brekky was a great start to our day.
- Lex (2/5): A great disappointment, nothing like what was advertised. - Cleanliness and maintenance not up to the mark.
- Debbie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lockhard (5/5): Passable - Great location and surrounds. nice quirky decorated on a budget. Good breaky. The booking cost was confusing. At no time did it say it was$139 for 2. I presumed$99 for 2. I had logged in searching for 2, so did not expect to get quoted for a single price then be told it was $40 for the extra person, which was a bit deceitfull. Costs should be plainly up front. The sharing of the kitchen with the owners should also be stated. The kitchen towels should be changed/cleaned daily [hand and tea towels].
- Jennifer (9/5): The tranquility of the place. - The settings and the sound of the creek and how private it was. I liked the property for the short time I was there.
- Leonie (7/5): Paronella Park impulsive side journey - Great location, amazing creek, lovely deck, good breakfast and good conversation Not quite what we were expecting from the pictures
- Jo (9/5): Superb -
- Rohini (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): Good experience hosts showed great empathy - Very friendly helpful All good
- Kaitlyn (8/5): This was an absolute highlight in our two weeks in FNQ - The amazing hosts, Peter and Steve, along with their fur babies, were absolutely wonderful and great company - we had such a great time and lots of laughs chatting to them (but equally if we hadn’t been up for a chat, am sure they would have left us alone after information and pleasantries). Peter cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning complete with amazing home made bread, and then offered us a tour of the gorgeous tropical gardens. The setting of the property is unbelievable and we even braved a swim in the creek at the bottom of the garden in the morning - bliss! The mattress and pillow were super comfortable too. We knew this before booking, so it wasn’t a surprise and there were no other guests staying so it wasn’t an issue, but the toilet and bathroom (separate) are shared facilities pending renovations. If you don’t like animals, and are wanting your standard Airbnb experience (rather than a home stay) then this isn’t the place for you.
- Karen (6/5): Will be a lot better when the en suite facilities are done -
