Guest Reviews
- Sven (10/5): -
- Joshua (10/5): - The window view was unreal
- Jonathan (10/5): - Location on rhe water Gap between boat and shore. Girlfriend fell in
- Van (10/5): Aanrader, fijne locatie en alles goed geregeld met sleutels etc - Toplocatie, erg schoon en een fijn bed
- Berk (9/5): Kesinlikle - Konum düzen klasik Yok
- Katey (10/5): Perfect location, immaculately clean, everything we needed and really felt special. - It felt special Nothing.. it was perfect

- Melanie (10/5): An incredible place with an amazing host! - Bryan was an amazing host who went above & beyond to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. The location of the house boat is incredible, centrally located in the historic Jordaan district and right across from a great cafe / bar. Would highly recommend! It was great weather when we were there, which meant that many people were out on boats in the canal. It was hard to be near the window without having to wave at people passing by.
- Olivier (7/5): -
- Craig (10/5): Lovely. - Coffee is great, room is well thought out and designed. Neighborhood has grocery store, bakery, cheese and wine vendors. The “museum “ bar will give you ice. Feels like a community not just tourist attraction. A range of restaurants and canals to explore.
- Mark (9/5): Great location. Not a lot of space for 2 suitcases and only a small storage cupboard but it wasn’t a big issue - Central Was a bit on the small side
- Claire (8/5): Lovely experience on the house boat - price point a bit high - Great location and to be on the water on the canal was great. So enjoyed the view. The bed and bedding were both very comfortable, informative host made everything very easy, well planned accommodation and access to the house boat and room. No servicing of the room during the 3 days and we had damp towels as no electric rail to dry them on. We think it’s a bit pricy as a result. If no service then a tea towel and washing up liquid to clean the bowls, mugs etc. necessary. Venetian blinds or day to night blinds at the windows would give privacy when needed - we wanted to have tea in bed with the blinds up to enjoy the beautiful view but then we had people gawping and waving at us from the tour boats so we had to choose between that or closing the blinds - no view and a dark room!
- Madeleine (10/5): Bryan was the best Host !!Thank you so much - Everything was Perfect !!
- J (10/5): Fantastic houseboat in Amsterdam - Lovely space. Very clean. Very comfortable. Thoughtful touches including delft coffee mugs and wonderful Nespresso coffee. Great view. Friendly ducks. Super nice host. Upscale, elegant, comfortable, and overall a great stay. Highly recommend. Nothing.
- Luis (10/5): - Location is perfect, close to everything, and you can't beat going to Amsterdam and staying in a Boat House. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay
- Judith (8/5): -
- Rosenfeld (10/5): Wonderful stay on a modern houseboat in a perfect part of Amsterdam. - Perfect location. Surrounded by everything you’ll want and need without being in the center of all the tourists and souvenir shops. The room was impeccably clean and everything from the bedding to the appliances were luxurious and high end. One great highlight was the ducks that came to visit outside the window every afternoon. Definitely bring some bread to feed them. They’re so cute and friendly. And Bryan was a fantastic host. Responsive and had really helpful recommendations that he tailored to my specific wishes and preferences. Everything was as promised.
- Rachael (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): The perfect Amsterdam experience in a supreme location! - The houseboat went above and beyond our expectations. Bryan was a fantastic host! He thought of everything down to the fresh cut flowers, nespresso for the morning and the extremely comfortable bed at night. There wasn't anything we didn't like! It was honesty perfect!
- Carol (10/5): A great place to experience Amsterdam - The setting was beautiful. When the curtains are open you are on display. But, the view of the boat traffic was entertaining.
- Shiyi (1/5): might be okay to stay for cooler seasons, but definitely not during summer... - The location was great. Can walk to most locations in good spots, and near everything. The boathouse was unbearably hot and humid during August. There was no air conditioning, only an air cooler, which had no effect at all. The apartment itself was far too compact. The owner had separated the boat into three sections, with two of them used as “hotel rooms,” but they were uncomfortably small and cramped. Our neighbor shared the same complaint.
On top of that, the door could not be shut completely unless it was fully locked, which was inconvenient. The window also opened directly onto the surrounding boats, offering no privacy at all — it felt like anyone outside could look right in.
The conditions were so uncomfortable that by the second night we had to move to another hotel. Overall, the stay was disappointing and not suitable for summer accommodation.
- Chelsey (10/5): - Perfect. Relaxing.
- Moira (9/5): -
- Roel (10/5): Mooie lokatie midden in het centrum, en goed contact met eigenaar welke nog een vergeten vest heeft nagestuurd zonder ko -
- John (8/5): All good - Boat Ducks
- Lesley (9/5): Great location and very cozy and comfortable on water apartment. - Amazing location, very comfortable and stylish. Very nice coffee supplied. Good supermarket across the road, lots of cafes and restaurants. Feeding the bird life was lovely. Great seeing the boats float past. It’s very compact and limited space for storing property. Minimal plates and cutlery. No servicing of room, was hard to get towels dry in small space v
- Peter (10/5): Excellent room on the vanal - The view was amazing. The location was excellent, easy walking to the main attractions, in a less busy area. There were good places for food and drinks very close. Nothing
- Janmeet (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Perfect launching point for our stay in Amsterdam - The houseboat was the perfect launching point for our stay in Amsterdam. The house was well-appointed, and our hosts provided everything we needed both before and after we arrived.
- Mary (10/5): I had a lovely week with this houseboat as my home base. - The location was great. The room was set up well. The view was awesome!
- Fahimeh (6/5): Pleasant - Location We stayed 3 nights ! When we opened the washroom door, light was on and during night we wake up and couldn't sleep. It wasn't enough coffee and tea bag for two people ! and only one toilet paper for 3 days. We went to supermarket for the first day, and it wasn't even tissue on the table. It was noisy when people went out and came back from the other rooms during night.
- Michael (10/5): Excellent Location, Comfortable, Excellent Host. - The Location was perfect, especially being on the canal and seeing all the boat traffic throughout the day. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and still offered plenty of privacy when needed. The host was excellent. Nothing, it was the perfect stay for us.
- Kayla (9/5): Would recommend this houseboat suite for anyone wanting the full Amsterdam experience! - We loved the location of our stay, which was conveniently located next to a grocery store, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shopping. Although a little bit cramped, we had a great time watching the boats pass by in the canal and the bed was very comfortable. Our host was also very generous and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The shower was a bit snug with no door to completely keep the water in and since we were there in February, the temperature inside the unit was a little bit chilly but it was manageable and comfortable enough for sleeping.
- David (10/5): An amazing alternative stay - not many hotels that I know of where you can feed the ducks outside your window!! - What an absolute gem of a place to stay in the centre of Amsterdam. The fact that you’re on a houseboat, on a canal in the middle of Amsterdam gives it a special touch to your stay. Susan took care of all our needs prior to arriving and Bryan took care of us and was always available if we needed him whilst we there. Thanks to you both. Nothing - there’s is nothing you can’t like about this property
- Alan (10/5): Perfect host, perfect accommodation, perfect situation... PERFECT - The location of the houseboat was perfect, the modern bathroom with heated floor and shower was fantastic. Susan let us be on our own, but explained she lived on the houseboat and anything we wanted she could immediately help with. Beautiful flowers and complimentary drinks and chocolates made us feel extremely welcome. Susan's video for entry into the boathouse was really simple and easy to understand.
We had such a relaxing time on the houseboat, watching the lights flickering on the water is something we will never forget and also the ducks quacking to be fed seeds (we bought in the supermarket) 3mins from boat. Lastly the local pub on the corner, full of Amsterdamers, superb atmosphere and great beer! Nothing could have been any better, it is perfect.
- Marcellina (10/5): Staying on the canal in Amsterdam is a must. You will not find better hosts in Amsterdam! - Communication before arrival was excellent, included a short video to introduce us to the space and gave us tips on entering the property. The host met us on arrival and welcomed us. The location on Prince's Canal was excellent, perfect for everything we wanted to do including Anne Frank House, Heineken Experience, Van Gogh Museum, Albert Cuyp Market + excellent shopping and food options. And can we just say "Houseboat!"? A very fun and unique experience to stay on a houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam. Cannot get a better view! And you will not find a better host in Amsterdam, I promise you will not. They were available by Whatsapp for any questions, supplied us with recommendations for things to do and were all around beautiful friendly people. There was nothing that could be improved. We enjoyed everything.
- Caitlin (10/5): Incredible, one of a kind stay in Amsterdam - The houseboat is so beautiful, it has amazing views and the comfiest bed we have had in any of our accomodation in Europe. Bryan, our host was so lovely and caring, and the welcome gifts and extra chocolate he gave us to bring in the new year was so incredibly generous and thoughtful. We had the best time in Amsterdam and it was made even better with this accomodation which was also so conveniently central. We will 110% be back in the summer time! No complaints, everything was perfect :)
- Aileen (8/5): Very good -
- Kaan (9/5): Extraordinary Experience with a lovely view. - It is an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. Susan is also an accommodating host. If you haven't considered full-service hotel comfort, let's have a try. The Van Gogh Suit is a little bit small, I think the Rembrandt suit might be a better option if you can rent it.
- Yang (10/5): I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in the heart of Amsterdam! - The house boat was very close to mostly everything Amsterdam has to offer! It provides a beautiful scenery of the canal that I wish I could wake up to every morning. NA
- Cormac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (9/5): A perfect week in Amsterdam - Everything was fantastic. From ducks swimming right up to the window to the local bars and restaurants being steps away in one of the best locations for Amsterdam, the houseboat stay was kind of a bucket list item that was as advertised. The houseboat was really clean, the bathroom just big enough to be convenient and every else about the place was really comfortable. It’s within a couple of blocks of mass transit, and the location encourages walking around and exploring. I liked it, but the one peculiar thing is the location sits on the routes for tours, so sometimes you’ll feel like you’re in an aquarium with everyone looking at you. I found it to be fun. Some people might not like it.
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - The location is prime, and the facilities are perfect. The walls are a little thin, so I could hear the other guests, but that can't be helped. It was very comfortable and I would definitely stay here again.
- Kathryn (10/5): Wonderful experience on the canal. - Ideal central location. Lovely hostess, very attentive to our needs. Clean modern unit, small but well appointed. We were quite comfortable and enjoyed the passing boat traffic immensely. Thanks, Susan! N/A
- Mary (10/5): An unusual adventure to add to your bucket list - Great location near Ann Frank house but outside of the tourist hubbub. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants nearby.i loved watching the boats drift by. When it rained the boat was very noisy.Drip noises etc kept me awake.
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful & unique experience; Centrally located - The houseboat is easy to find and very centrally located. There are no loud noises, so we had a restful sleep every night. The view from the window is unique. Besides from the boats there were also friendly ducks and seagulls passing, yet you can enjoy enough privacy at all times by adjusting the shades.
Right across the street you can find a big supermarket as well as restaurants and bars by feet.
Susan is a very kind and helpful host with precious recommendations to explore the city.
Thanks a lot for the hospitality and friendly welcoming! :) -
- Brens (9/5): Superb -
- Alexander (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristin (10/5): This was a perfect place for our stay in Amsterdam! - The houseboat was a really fun place to stay. The room is small but very nice and comfortable, and we loved being right on the water, watching boats go by, and feeding birds from our windows.
Susan was so helpful, before and during our stay. She answered all our questions, and her recommendations for restaurants were just right - we especially loved the pizza and Thai restaurants on her list.
Everything about our stay was perfect! Nothing!
- Sue (10/5): Would stay again. Great location - Location, clean, comfortable, modern decor
- Sophie (10/5): Wonderful city perfect vacation - Perfect location bro explore the city There was nothing I didn’t like
- Maureen (10/5): Bucket list setting exceeded all expectations! - Susan was the perfect hostess ! Gave us great directions to our location & had a box welcome chocolates & various drink selections complimentary available. The rooms were exactly as described: small ( on a boat) but decorated with a fashionable modern look & with a comfy bed & cute sitting area to view the boats passing by.
she even had food to feed the ducks & it become our fav relaxing event. we even ordered from Uber Eats so we could enjoy our relaxing home on the canal! NOTHING
- Jerry (10/5): romantic cozy room on the water in the heart of Amsterdam - uniqueness and location nothing it was perfect
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Edvinas (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice, romantic, friendly! One night on water, highly recommend to stay! :)
- Lucinda (8/5): Very good -
- Sayoko (10/5): Cozy - Beautiful interior, good use of space. Great location, easy access. Many nearby restaurants, cafes, shops. None, made the trip wonderful.
- Tanya (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay on the houseboat and would definitely come back! - The location and views were amazing. Susan was a great host!
- Ben (10/5): a fantastic place to stay for your amsterdam experience! - the location, view, ambiance, and vibe can’t be beat. such a neat experience to stay right on the water. it’s beautiful at all times of day and night and most of the time, it’s very quiet. we loved sitting the the window for breakfast or dinner and watching the city (and swans) go by. also, we slept with the blinds open and the canal was so still and beautiful at night (no boats going by the windows) so it was a different experience and so lovely to wake up to. the wifi was good, the bed was comfy, the room was clean and a good size for two people, and the location and view were really awesome. also, the owner is on site and very friendly. i don’t have any significant negatives about this property - it was great. if i’m being picky, i’d say that the shower is a bit annoying bc it only has one small glass panel and no closure, so water goes all over the floor every time you shower. also, it would be nice to have a small tv in the room.
- Lorraine (9/5): Superb - We loved the corner view onto the canal, especially at sundowner time, with the passing boat traffic, and visiting swans. A memorable experience. There is an Albert Heijn store round the corner, to buy snacks whilst relaxing at our “corner view”.
Susan was very helpful, and made us feel at home. It is compact, but fine as we travelled light.
- Doug (9/5): Lovely 4 Night Stay on a Houseboat in Amsterdam - We liked the location in the Jordaan District of Amsterdam, with excellent access to all of the sites we wanted to visit. I was also easy to access a wide variety of restaurants, bake shops as well as cafes and eateries of all kinds. The houseboat had easy walking access to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House as well as the Waterlooplein Market and de Bijenkorf Shopping Centre. The suites are not air conditioned.
- Adam (10/5): needed a week of relaxation in one of my favorite places on earth and I got it. I can’t wait to stay on the houseboat a - everything. Amenities, comfort, location loved it all
