The staff were wonderful warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel itself is very comfortable, clean, and beautifully authentic. It honestly felt like being at home, but with a special atmosphere you can’t find just anywhere. I highly recommend this place, and without a doubt, I would choose this hotel again for my next visit.

The staff was simply wonderful and upgraded me for free to a larger room with a balcony and phenomenal views of the lake and the town. The location was 10/10 and the breakfast was huge. I would always stay here again. It was simply magical. Loved everything!

The whole room was so thought through and cozy. Cafe downstairs was excellent. Reception staff explained everything that is to know about the village and recommended a great restaurant next door. • Serafeim (8/5): Μια αυθεντική εμπειρία με όχι όμως καλή σχέση ποιότητας-τιμής - Εκτιμήσαμε ιδιαίτερα τη δωρεάν αναβάθμιση του δωματίου μας σε δωμάτιο με θέα τη λίμνη, το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενικό και κατατοπιστικό, η τοποθεσία πολύ κεντρική, ο ξενώνας αυθεντικός και το δωμάτιο με όλα όσα θα χρειαστεί κανείς για μια σύντομη διαμονή στο Χάλστατ. Το δωμάτιο, το WC και το ντους ήταν όλα πεντακάθαρα. Η τιμή του δωματίου ήταν πολύ υψηλή για αυτό που προσφέρει, δεδομένου ότι δεν πρόκειται για ξενοδοχείο, αλλά για ξενώνα με κοινόχρηστα WC και μπάνιο ανά όροφο, για να φτάσει κανείς δε στο δωμάτιο, πρέπει να ανέβει πολύ απότομες σκάλες μέσα από χώρους που μοιάζουν και μυρίζουν αποθηκευτικοί. Οι τιμές επίσης στον χώρο του καφέ του ξενώνα ήταν εξωφρενικά υψηλές. Το προσωπικό αν και ευγενικό, δεν ήταν πολύ φιλικό, αλλά ψυχρά τυπικό.

• Bonny (10/5): - The owner was very accommodating in checking us in early and then helping us get our bags to our rooms! Amazing views from the room The stairs to the upper floors are very steep. Not a problem for us, but for older people or people with disabilities it would be!

Nous sommes restés qu’un soir mais j’aurais aimé y passer au moins deux autres journées. J’aurais pu faire du trekking, de longues marches sur le bord de l’eau, méditer, lire, écrire. Ça serait un emplacement idyllique pour écrire un livre, peindre…Notre vue de notre balcon sur la montagne était féerique. La chambre avait un cachet bien spéciale. Les lieux étaient très propres et semblaient pratiquement neufs. Tout était féerique! On pouvait se rendre au supermarché et payer à un guichet automatique. La confiance qui règne avec cette approche est du jamais vu. Prévoir d’apporter du comptant car certaines boutiques n’acceptent que du comptant.

• Wonnie (10/5): Prettiest house in the prettiest town - Where do I even start.. this Hallstatt is the most beautiful place i’ve ever been to, and this incredibly adorable pension augmented my entrance with this postcard lake town to the max! Hallstatt itself predates even Rome, with thousands of years of salt mining history, something I didn’t know and wouldn’t have experienced from this beautiful little town nestled in the ledge between Alpine mountains and a serene lake. There are no words fit to describe the beauty of the scenery here, and let me tell you, it comes from a person who has never been impressed by any mountain view! When I was dragged to Yosemite years ago by a group of more nature-loving friends, my thought was “ok these are just giant rocks.. what am I supposed to be marveled at??” Salzburg and Hallstatt completely changed that. Take the funicular up to the mountain either or both for the salt mine and skywalk, no pictures do justice to its majestic yet intimate, heavenly beauty. Take a leisurely stroll around the town , admiring centuries-old houses- i am so glad I chose this incredibly pretty pension, without knowing that the house of the hostess’s namesake is 400 years old. I think Pension Leopoldine is the prettiest one of all in Hallstatt!😉 It is like sleeping in a museum. Our family of four had a delightful stay, enjoying all the charming antiques around the rooms ( we had the 2bedroom unit) , had great sleep in the comfortable beds. The staffs were so kind and accommodating with early check in and storing luggages for hours after checkout . 🙏Even gave us 2pieces of delicious cakes and 2 cupcakes, and chocolate chip cookies for our departure gift. Thank you so so much for one of the most unforgettable travel experiences! Lord willing, We absolutely would love to come back and habe a longer stay.. The room was very nice — cute and comfortable! Our room had a balcony, so we could enjoy the view and have coffee there. (You can buy coffee on the 1st floor.) The location was perfect — so close to the ferry port and many famous spots. Nothing.

He provided maps and useful information for my stay (affordable grocery stores, places to eat, points of interest, etc) and overall went above and beyond to make sure my time in Hallstatt would be well spent. The room itself had everything that was needed and also a closet space, small eating area, and the loveliest private deck and sitting area. I was given a free upgrade to a lake view when I had originally booked the mountain view. The common area had free tea, a fridge and microwave for guests. I would recommend this stay for short or long term guests in Hallstatt! The central location, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and views will be great for any vacation (:

El baño a pesar de ser compartido en excelente condiciones, muy limpio y olía muy bien, también hay disponible tetera, microondas, nevera, cafe y aromáticas mejorando mucho la experiencia en el pueblo.

It’s a few minutes walk from the ferry and the famous sights! No private bathroom and most (if not all) hotels here are also part of a restaurant so you’ll have to walk into a restaurant first. Also not very sound proof and people are up early to prep.

The share bathrooms were always clean and available and the location spectacular. For us it fit what we were looking for so nothing really.
