• Mónica (8/5): - La ubicación es bastante buena y el desayuno excepcional. Las camas son confortables y el espacio en cada cabaña es muy amplio. Se tiene que caminar unos metros a la playa, pero la calle no está pavimentada.

Die Eigentümer sind sehr entspannt und man fühlt sich gleich sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben. Sie haben einige Tipps für Restaurants und Aktivitäten. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Wasserspender. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen. -

• Grace (10/5): Discover peace, adventure, and romantic vibes in this place! - This was a life changing experience for us. It was the first time we have ever been to Costa Rica, never mind the magical coast of Talamanca, Puerto Viejo. The breakfast was one of our favorite parts of the stay. Wade and Laurie are wonderful, kind, and accommodating. Falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle every night healed my nervous system. There is no TV in the room ~ which was a lovely digital break. There is also no AC, but a ceiling fan and the cooling coastal breeze at night… so you don’t miss one. Daydreaming about when we can return. Thank you ~ to the hosts, the jungle, and all living things surrounding it. The only thing that would have made our stay better… is if we didn’t have to leave!

Mi noche no hizo tanto calor, las habitaciones tienen abanico de techo y un ventilador nada mas, eso si son muy ventiladas, pero supongo que en días de mucho calor se puede pasar un poco incomodo.

We are extremely content. Not having AC was my biggest concern, but the room temperature stayed comfortable and even cool without fans most of the time and if it started to get slightly warm, the ceiling fan alone cooled down the room pretty much instantly.

• Catherine (10/5): Amazing stay in a fantastic place and location - What can I say, everything was considered, lighting, facilities, luxuries. privacy. The whole place was so well done, we absolutely loved it, the owners weee informative without being in your face. Lots of nice wildlife bobbing about. The pools and outdoor space were so well done and honesty bar was well stocked. Breakfast was all homemade and varied each day, you never felt as though you couldn't ask for anything. Lots of good recommendations too. I can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you so much 😊 Can't find anything to say. Lots of animal noises at night but you soon get used to them and tbh you're at the edge of the rainforest which is why we all go

• Holly (10/5): Best Stay of Our Whole Trip - This was hands down our favourite place from our entire three-week trip to Costa Rica. We loved it so much that we actually cancelled another place we had booked in Cahuita at the end of our trip just so we could come back and spend one more night at La Paz. The room was beautiful and immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor shower feature. The drying rack in the room came in handy after a day at the beach. The property is quiet and peaceful, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The rooms are surrounded by gorgeous gardens which made it feel very private. We saw lots of wildlife, and even had a two-toed sloth in the tree next to our room! So cool. We also saw toucans, macaws, and lots of howler monkeys too. Laurie and Wade are exceptional hosts and shared all kinds of great recommendations for restaurants and local activities. Their breakfast is phenomenal, so delicious, our compliments to the chef :) We can't wait to visit again. Pura Vida!

Durch die Fliegengitter fühlt man sich, als wäre man mitten im Dschungel. Mit dem Gebrüll der Brüllaffen aufzuwachen, ist absolut einzigartig. • Andrea (10/5): Ein absolutes Paradies - Laurie und Wade waren tolle Gastgeber!!! Wir sind am ersten Abend aufgrund von Stau spät angereist. Dennoch wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Die Bungalows sind einfach großartig (groß, sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet). Wir haben vorher nicht gelesen, dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt, sondern eine natürliche Luftzirkulation durch offene Fenster (mit Fliegengitter) gewährleistet wird. Wir sind zwischen Grillenzirpen und Froschgesängen eingeschlafen und fanden es toll! Das erste Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war fantastisch, liebevoll angerichtet, unglaublich lecker und viel zu viel 😁 Wir hatten nur zwei Nächte gebucht und uns kurzfristig entschlossen noch zwei weitere Nächte zu bleiben. Laurie hat, trotz guter Belegung, alles möglich gemacht, damit wir dieses Paradies noch länger genießen konnten. Es war der Anschluss unserer Rundreise durch Costa Rica. Das gesamte Gelände ist inmitten der Natur. Neben Agutis, die uns jeden Morgen beim Frühstück Gesellschaft leisteten, gibt es eine Vielzahl von Vögel, Schmetterlingen und auch zwei Faultieren, die zu unserer Zeit dort ihre Ruhe gesucht haben. Durch die offenen Wände mit Moskitonetz fühlt man sich so, als würde man draußen schlafen. Unglaubliche Tierwelt direkt vor der Tür. • Thomas (10/5): Für uns ein Höhepunkt unserer Reise durch das Land. - Laurie und Wade haben ein ganz spezielles Regenwalderlebnis für ihre Gäste erschaffen. Bei uns hat es nur eine Nacht gebraucht um uns an die Geräusche der vielfältigen Flora zu gewöhnen. Wir haben den ganzen Aufenthalte extrem genossen. Die zusätzliche Außendusche ist sehr schön. Das täglich abwechselnde, grandiose Frühstück muss erwähnt werden. Alles ist extrem durchdacht und professionell. … ein paar Hunde in der Nachbarschaft haben zeitweise etwas für akustische Belästigung gesorgt, aber das generell ein Thema in Costs Rica und nicht der Unterkunft anzulasten.

Los desayunos estaban hechos con tanto amor que se notaba en cada detalle, y hasta nos prepararon el desayuno para llevar el día que nos íbamos. La habitación nos encantó, todo súper limpio y con esa sensación preciosa de estar en medio de la selva. La ducha exterior fue simplemente mágica. The location was peaceful and beautiful, and the daily breakfasts were excellent (with gluten-free options that I appreciated a lot!). The villa was spacious, the bed incredibly comfortable, and we loved falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle.

• Brenes (10/5): - El hotel está en medio de la selva, incluso vimos un perezoso, además, el desayuno es delicioso. Todo estuvo muy bien.
• Loren (10/5): GREAT hosts, WONDERFUL breakfasts, AWESOME jungle ambiance - Location was excellent, off the busy main street about 350 meters, and a bit secluded off the 2ndary street it's located on. Walking distance to several good restaurants & bars, and also walking distance to 2 or 3 great/scenic beaches! Cocles is the closest, but is a bit rough (better for surfers), but "Playa Coralitos" (the closest) is a delightful place to spend the day, just across the street! Our hosts were remarkably friendly, helpful, present without being intrusive. The room was a wonderfulj "Bali Style" (we've been to Bali!) open plan, featuring great ventilation (with high-quality screens to keep bugs completely out) that allowed in cool night air, as well as the amazing sounds of the tropical forest night and early-morning (all kinds of birds, howler monkeys especially in the wee hours before sunrise, and all kinds of mysterious - but not threatening - sounds of the Tropics). The large fan with several speeds kept the temps comfortable at night. Also, there were curtains that offered 100% privacy when you wanted it, but if you opened them, you had beautiful plant/jungle views anytime of day. I also loved the outdoor shower option for when we returned from the beach, such that you bathed in privacy outdoors and didn't bring sand into your room! The grounds are purposely dark at night, with minimal lighting, which means you're not disturbing the local flora & fauna! We TRULY LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. One MINOR inconvenience (although it did NOT diminish our DELIGHT with this place at all) was the somewhat tight parking, which was a bit challenging at night That said, our rental car was a long-ish pick-up truck. Any small or median sedan or smaller pick-up can park with no problem. Also liked that the cars were "hidden" off the 2ndary road, minimizing any risk of someone targeting our car to try and break into it, which can happen occasionally in Costa Rica if you're not careful. So again, NOT a major detractor, just a small observation!
• Amitay (8/5): - Staff members are very friendly, all recommendations we got were accurate. The place is absolutely magical, surrounded by the jungle. Breakfast was always tasty and very fresh. We woke up everyday at 4 am due to the screaming monkeys which were our neighbours for the entire stay.

• EMMANUEL (10/5): Recommandation sans limite. Magnifique endroit pour ceux qui aiment la nature - Cet établissement comportait 5 hébergements, totalement isolés les uns des autres. Les bungalows noyés dans une forêt luxuriante sont très spacieux et modernes. De nombreux rangements, une très grande salle d'eau et la cerise sur le gâteau : une douche extérieure noyée dans la nature (c'était génial). De plus il y avait 2 piscines sur le site, dont une était équipée d'un espace zen qui donnait sur la forêt. Parfait pour ceux qui veulent faire de la méditation Le petit-déjeuner était servi dans un espace commun (terrasse extérieure). Varié mais, à notre goût, pas assez copieux. Laurie, la propriétaire, nous a bien accueillis et dispensés de très bonnes informations sur le secteur (les lieux à visiter, les plages à retenir et les festivités locales). Un grand merci à elle. Un petit-déjeuner un peu plus copieux.

• María José (10/5): Lo recomiendo :) - Es un lugar en medio de la naturaleza. Vas a dormir con el sonido de los animalitos alrededor. No tiene aire acondicionado pero el abanico es suficiente. El trato de parte del dueño es muy bueno (solo habla inglés) y el desayuno es espectacular. .

Outdoor shower is a great touch! Hosts are absolutely amazing, going beyond ,to make your stay perfect! Delicious, fresh made breakfast that can be shared with local wild animals, who come to visit during breakfast, was an unforgettable experience :) Location, value for money ,everything surpassed our expectations.! 1000% recommend and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in the future!
• alberto (10/5): Hace honor a su nombre...el lugar es especial y sin niños.. - El lugar es especial, el ambiente que genera la habitación es genial, por la noche en el porche te puedes relajar tomándote algo. Y la ducha en el exterior es un lujo. El desayuno especial. Muy cerca de Puerto Viejo y restaurantes muy aconsejables de visitar. Nada , el lugar es especial.
• Treavor (10/5): Truly a stay that fully immerses you into the magic of the Costa Rica Jungle ! - La Paz del Caribe was probably only about 1/4 mile of the main road in town, but the property upon arriving made you feel nestled deep in the Costa Rican Jungle, the villa truly felt like a part of the vibrant ecosystem around it. It wasn't just a place with a view of nature; it was a place where we were literally immersed in it. The sounds and sights of the wildlife were a constant highlight. The howls of monkeys echoed through the trees, and we were delighted to see the curious Agoutis and a few macaws right outside our room. Waking up to these incredible sounds and seeing the animals up close made you feel like completely a part of their world. It was a truly surreal and unforgettable experience. Beyond the amazing location, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The hosts were kind and welcoming, the bed was, without a doubt, one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in—a topic we couldn't stop talking about. We found that having no AC was never an issue, as the room was designed to catch the natural flow of air with screened windows, supplemented by fans for perfect comfort. This natural ventilation added to the feeling of being connected to the outdoors. The private outdoor area was for me a standout feature, making the whole jungle experience even more profound. The Breakfast due to sleeping in we had only 1 day but was very plentiful with plenty of food and a nice smoothie. While the beach was a pleasant 10-minute walk away, we opted to explore a bit further by car to Manzanillo and Punta Uva. We found that there are several nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but most of the dining options are a short 10 minute drive away in Puerto Viejo.

• Nora (10/5): Karibisches Juwel - Wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen und Entdecken! Eine privat geführte Anlage mit schönem Garten, zwei Pools. Die Inhaber führen die kleine gemütliche Anlage mit viel Herzblut und bereiten jeden Morgen ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück (vegetarisch/ vegan). Die Bungalows sind perfekt gepflegt, jeder ist für sich und umgeben von Natur. Das Hotel liegt wenige Auto/Fahrradminuten von Zentrum und ist leicht mit Uber/Tuktuk zu erreichen. Absolut zu empfehlen, wir waren begeistert. -

• Sasha (10/5): The best place we've ever stayed at! - We have been travelling for 6 months and this was hands down the best accommodation we've had the pleasure of staying at. From the most comfortable beds and cleanest rooms, to the lushest natural environments and wild fauna, to the hosts and staff that went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible. Couldn't recommend it more! Literally no complaints. The only reason you shouldn't go here is if you're absolutely not a nature person and don't like being around animals, I suppose (the Maine Coons and the agoutis are quite comfortable around people - but they're never intrusive.)

• Katie (10/5): Exceptional - We had an amazing time here! The property is beautiful, only a 5 minute walk to the beach and short drive to town. The breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfy, and our favorite part was drinking our coffee on the wildlife-viewing deck and looking for monkeys. Make sure you’re aware that there’s no AC - but a really good fan and big screened windows that keep the room cool so AC didn’t even feel necessary. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, the jungle gets loud at night!

• Olena (10/5): A very nice place if you do not mind humidity and you are a nature lover. - Very beautiful property, we saw many animals there too - sloth, agoutis, frogs :), monkeys, you can hear howler monkeys every morning and it’s magical, pools are great, owners are nice, only vegetarian food, food is tasty, bathrobes, nice showers - inside and outside, daily cleaning. For food - go to Puerto Viejo - many vegan options there and much cheaper than in this little village/town. On a hot night it was hotter than I expected without AC, count on humidity, all our things were wet during all the stay, but that’s what you get if there are no windows, breakfast could be bigger and more protein rich in vegan options.
• D (10/5): Pura Vida with amazing hospitality - Peaceful roomy bungalows the forest with all the abundant wildlife. Hosts are so kind, welcoming and share helpful information about local experience and food opportunities. Easy road access to beaches and all the things. Daily breakfast was so delicious, clean food and so satisfying. Already recommending to friends and families. Pura vida!
