The grounds are beautiful and attracts wonderful birdlife. We required twin share which was not a problem. The room is attached to the house but not in the house has own on suite, fridge and tea making facilities. Cathy bakes her own delicious cakes and biscuits for you and a cold beverage if you’d like one. Cathy provides a delicious continental breakfast. No complaints.

One of those places you want to recommend to everyone, but also want to keep to yourself so you are able to get a booking in future travels. Just fantastic hospitality, thistle certainly do! - Heidi (10/5): Cathy was so welcoming and made our stay just perfect! So many extras were included making it so special. Would certainl - Although in a small town the house was surrounded by bush with a great view of the valley and a variety of vocal bird life. Cathy was a delightful host who went over and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Nothing could be faulted.
- Alex (10/5): Very comfortable room, exceptional host who really cares that you have a comfortable and positive experience! - The owner Cathy was an exceptional host and really made it a very special stay for us. - Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Bacon and eggs with breakfast
- Gillian (10/5): We don’t usually do BnBs but this has certainly opened our eyes. Highly recommend! - The owner, Cathy, is fabulous, very friendly and would bend over backwards to make the stay enjoyable. The room is clean and comfortable with a separate entry. Good sized bathroom. Little extras of chocolates, homemade cake and the best Anzac biscuits together with port is a fantastic touch. Breakfast in the main house was set out very nicely and could be eaten inside or on the verandah. It’s really the little touches like Sheridan towels and the above mentioned that make it stand out. No dislikes at all.
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional hospitality in a very comfortable room, in a lovely town - Cathy and Brian are wonderful but thoroughly unintrusive, hosts who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome at a 'home away from home'. The room is immaculate with a very comfortable bed, spotless, heated bathroom and little extras that one wouldn't expect. I have never arrived at an accommodation to find homemade chocolate treats in the fridge, and delicious homemade cookies, trail mix, a nice selection of tea and coffee and a small jug of port for laters. The room also has its own private entrance and undercover guest parking and a lovely deck to enjoy the breeze and the view. I, unfortunately didn't take advantage of what looked like a lovely breakfast spread in their comfortable dining room. It's easy to tell, from the obvious thought and their attention to detail, that Cathy and Brian take great pride in what they offer, as well they should. An exceptional offering and highest recommendation. Nothing at all.
- Chi-hua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beryl (10/5): Highly recommended B and B in idyllic location - I cannot say enough good things about this property. It was clean, spacious and convenient with a beautiful continental breakfast. Cathy provides wonderful amenities in the self contained room with its own private access and parking. From her delicious home made cake and slice waiting for us, fresh milk and an abundance of teas and coffees to the port provided as a bonus, it was exceptional. It was the best value property we have ever stayed at. A really nice touch were the games and cards provided and we were able to make use of these sitting on the deck one evening having a wine.
- Ross (10/5): Excellent - so much to chose from was very good .
- Roslyn (10/5): Exceptional - Cathy was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and the quiet location had amazing views. Cathy is well organised and she provided a beautifully prepared continental breakfast.

Host was very welcoming from the moment I arrived. Room had everything needed, including some nice additional touches, like homemade biscuit slices. Nothing really. It would have been a difficult to walk back from town because so elevated but I had my vehicle. On the flipside, made for spectacular views from the property.

- Debbie (10/5): Truffle Kerfuffle Weekend - I came down from Perth for Truffle Kerfuffle in Manjimup and stayed at Thistle Do in Bridgetown.
Cathy was so welcoming and approachable. I arrived at night and she made sure I had everything I needed. She showed me into the room and made sure I understood where everything was. She'd left some fresh, homemade cake (and homemade biscuits on day 2), chocolates, almonds and even some Port. Such a lovely surprise.
Cathy has thought of everything. I couldn't have wanted for more. She also told me if I needed anything, just to ask.
The room is so comfortable and cosy but spacious ... beautiful bed, electric blanket, heating, and a spacious, heated bathroom .
The continental breakfast was very generous ... everything you need.
I'll definitely be back 🥰 I loved everything. There was nothing not to like.

- Christopher (10/5): Best B&B ever - Cathy was an exceptional host, she was warm, inviting, friendly and knew how to spoil her guests. The room was spacious, the bathroom was very clean, the bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. And there were lots of the little touches that made it feel homely like homemade cakes, a great selection of herbal teas and coffee sachets, a little carafe of port for a nightcap and lots of information for things to do around town. I loved everything.
