- ROBYN (10/5): Everything was thought of to ensure a great guest experience. - Lachlan ensured everything was perfect. Spacious villa, comfortable furniture - even a freshly baked loaf of bread! Nothing-everything was great!
- David (9/5): Cottage 2 spacious and tidy. Laundry facilities and plenty of kitchen facilities are a plus. Breakfast tray, bread, frui - Separate Cottage accommodation, lots of bush around and a very quiet location. Cottage had all the essentials and more that a traveller requires.
Wonderful host, friendly and only too happy to help in need. Being up on the Tablelands temperatures are cooler; remedied by heat pump(s) and a wood burner.
- kate (10/5): We would highly recommend staying at Tinaroo Sunset Retreat. Lovely location, well presented with many thoughtful touche - Tinaroo Sunset retreat is a wonderful place to stay. It is set in a quiet rural location, but is only 10 minutes drive from Yungaburra. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage. Check in was easy, the house is set up with everything you need for your stay: beds and couches are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped. Modern TV, internet works well and the fire and outdoor spa on the deck overlooking the forest is wonderful. It was lovely to meet Lachlan when he delivered a fresh fruit platter/bread for breakfast. Nothing
- Grant (8/5): - Great little house with hot tub on balcony and wood fire. Well catered breaky. Nice tranquil location. Best sleep I've had in ages!

- Yvonna (9/5): A lovely host, a beautiful spot to stay. Our second time back and we loved it. - The rainforest is stunning from the balcony. Great spa although a little cold this time to use it. Comfortable bed. Warm fire. Beautiful, relaxing and lovely spot. Could have done with a little more firewood, however, that was only a minor issue. We ran out early in the evening so popped on the air conditioning in heat mode.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Great place , needs curtains. Otherwise exceptional
- Jacqueline (10/5): Perfect location and great host , a very cimfy stay - Location, size of rooms. Wood heater with cut wood ready to go, fully equipped kitchen, comfy couch and great breakfast . Beds were very comfy, and good pillows It was great we liked everything
- Katrina (10/5): Cute and comfy bed and breakfast - owners go all out with fresh fruit and bread breakfast very lux! - Serenity as advertised Car park for top cottage wasn’t as close to our unit as the other which isn’t usually an issue but we arrived in at night. It’s not a complaint just something to keep in mind if you need to be closer to the door of your cottage.
- Virginia (9/5): A terrific quiet location with friendly staff and great breakfast, a little out of the way. - Property presentation was good, and the breakfast goodies supplied were a great surprise and very welcome with fruit platter and home made yoghurt appreciated!! Would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the spa more!

The peaceful, calm, and quiet atmosphere made it an ideal retreat. The freshly baked bread and the best continental breakfast were delightful highlights of our mornings. A special thanks to Lachlan, our host, for his exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a serene escape.
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely, quiet getaway with my girls, we’ll definitely be back! - Beautiful location, very quiet & serene. We were well looked after & had a lovely time. Loved the attention to detail, breakfast, fire set up & welcome chocolates. Nothing
- Sheila (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Tinaroo Sunset retreat. - Tranquil spot, stunning route to property. Some really thoughtful touches, such as regular delivery of fresh baked bread, fresh juice and milk and provision of books, games, info. Beds were super comfortable. Settees could have been more comfortable. Getting to and from the main road takes a little time, but it is the price of seclusion.
- Laura (10/5): A very well equipped property with all the comforts and more - The apartment was spacious and really well equipped. We loved the outdoor heated spa. The bed was super comfy too. The breakfast hamper was more than adequate and a nice touch with the home baked loaf of bread. Nothing. This place was really well equipped and thought about.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - The property was amazing our breakfast to die for even got out Brekky topped up owner was friendly but not intrusive will be coming back
- Alan (10/5): Peaceful, didn't want to leave. So happy! - Great location, so peaceful. Breakfast was good, more than enough. Lachlan went out of his way to ensure a fantastic stay🙂 No complaints at all.

- Beau-elise (9/5): Superb - A lovely place to stay. The place was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast provided was generous and good quality.
We enjoyed a warm spa on the deck on a cold
Night. Would recommend to anyone.
- Craig (7/5): Not to bad, fire is good, comfortable, freshly baked bread from host was great. - No view. Privacy from next unit could be better. Trees need trimming back.
- Kate (9/5): Restful getaway in the heart of nature! 💚 - Definitely a relaxing retreat, immersed in nature away from the bustle. Fireplace was loaded with wood ready to get toasty. Freshly made bread and fruit platter awaited us. There was a spa bath on the back deck (didn’t use, but would have been superb, as you look out onto the tops of trees). Service was excellent - Lachlan was very nice to deal with. Only downside was we were two couples and one bedroom had a queen bed, and the 2nd bedroom had two singles (and advertised as a double bed in both rooms).
- Noel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Connor (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the location, continental breakfast, and host!
- Robyn (10/5): Super, relaxing, quiet, friendly, peaceful, just what we needed, thanks Lachlan. - Lachlan was excellent, friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The unit, location and the stay was more than we expected, Lachlan did an excellent job of everything, loved it. Can not wait till we go again. N/A
- Terry (7/5): It was comfortable and the cottage was clean and well appointed, but a bit overpriced. - I liked the outdoor spa, although no bubbles were provided. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was lovely. The remote controls for two of the air conditioners did not work. The remote control for the video player in the second bedroom did not work and nor did the tv.
The homemade bread supplied for breakfast was stale and inedible.
From the pictures on the website I assumed we would have had some sort of a view, but there was just bush out the back and nowhere near the lake out the front.
- Karen (10/5): Would stay again! - Great breakfast consisting of fresh fruits, bread, juice, milk, yogurt and cereal. Butter, jam and vegemite for toast. In the countryside. We spent 5 nights here. Loved waking up to all of the birds chirping and great views of the stars at night. Easy drives to Lake Eacham and Barrine in Crater Lakes National Park, Barron Falls, Yungaburra, Curtain Fig Tree National Park and much more.
- Adrian (10/5): Outstanding views and such a lovely place to have a quiet getaway. - Size, furnishings, location and unique build (side of a mountain, what a view!) of the property. Everything you could need was available with a lovely breakfast provided. Cannot recommend this highly enough when seeking an excellent family friendly property. Nothing.

The man who runs it was awesome helpful . I would highly recommend the place and will definitely be going back😀 Nothing everything was good.
- Tracy (9/5): Superb - Surroundings.
Very comfortable cabin.
Perfect space & had everything we needed.
Service is exceptional. Not enough hot water.
- Kelly (8/5): Attentive owner. The catering makes it like home. Nice living and balcony space. - Nice villa, though ours did not have much views, just jungle from balcony. Very clean and the owner is thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Quite remote, but that’s good. A better view would have been nice. Also, the villa is built on a hill which caused a noticeable nearly constant swaying when walking around or in wind gusts. Owner assured us this was fine.

- Hannah (9/5): Superb -
- Kiky (8/5): Tinaroo Sunset Retreat is a very cozy villa on the tree top. We had a lovely time staying here. - It’s a very cozy villa at a quiet and peaceful location. Comfortable beds with nice beddings. The fresh fruit platter, local yogurt and homemade bread are very impressive! Free wifi works much better than the mobile reception. Owner’s response to message and phone calls are quite slow. We couldn’t find the owner to check in when we arrived.
- Yahong (10/5): A very pleasant stay! - Continental breakfast but with generous size of juice and milk. There was a jar of bonus local yogurt.
The owner is very nice, he have us a fruit platter and beautiful home made bread, this really warmed our hearts . thumbs up ! Wifi connection was very poor in the house , it didn’t work . But it worked on the house next door where my friends stayed.
