Guest Reviews

- Christian (8/5): Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. - Schöne Lage in der Nähe vom Stadtzentrum . Personal sehr nett.

- Gudrun (7/5): - Liebevoll ausgestattet, sehr sauber Alles ok
- Andy (9/5): Super Preis Leistungsverhältnis!! - So nette und unendlich hilfsbereite Leute!! Ich werde immer wieder dort buchen. Eigentlich nichts.
- Richard (9/5): Excellent hotel. Would definitely stay again - Great location in town. Free parking outside, nice room nice breakfast.
- Dor (5/5): Passable -
- Aivaras (8/5): Very good -
- Vijil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olga (9/5): Good - The location is good!
The breakfast was a bit different second day, nice surprise! The room is a bit too small, bad isolation due to old building.
- Ralph (8/5): super clean and spacy accomodation for a very good price ! - nice location on walking distance from restaurants , easy parking in front of the hotel , good size room and a simple but decent breakfast ! i missed some yoghurt for breakfast ... as I dont eat bread
- William (9/5): An altogether agreeable place to stay in Halberstadt, well recommended. - Great location for a tourist, near the Domplatz. I had a nice clean room with great bedding and towels, plenty of good hot water in a clean bathroom, and a generous breakfast cheerfully served. Well recommended. I wasn't expecting the do-it-yourself, find-it-yourself check-in. The place brags of its restaurant, and my check-in time was approved at booking, so I expected a host to be present. At 8:30 PM on a Thursday, the restaurant was closed and absolutely nobody was in the house, although the entrance door was unlocked. I found and fumbled around the darkened Rezeption area, eventually locating a key with my name on it. In scouting around later, I found a light switch for the Rezeption area, revealing a chalkboard which invited a phone call. By that time, I didn't bother.
- Timothy (10/5): I would definitely stay again. - The staff were friendly and explained everything in detail. The rooms and corridors were decorated with lovely pictures, as was the breakfast room. The bed was rather hard.
- Sabrina (8/5): great location, friendly staff & lovely breakfast - location, staff, decoration, breakfast none in particular
- Harinder (7/5): Good -
- Tamas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jörg (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lynn-maree (9/5): Most enjoyable and relaxed - Breakfast was excellent. Room was cosy though a little warm. A fan in the room
- Belevtseva (5/5): Passable - Nice historical canteen with dining room overlooking a gothic church, good location. When I came to the hotel at about 11 pm, the main entrance door was closed without any notifications or information about how to open it on one's own. I was calling the intercom for about 20 minutes with no success. I ended up having to call by phone to the hotel and explain myself in broken German.
- Karin (8/5): Very good -
- ukulus (6/5): Central stay - This hotel is very central and the monumental building is very interesting. There is also a restaurant right in the entrance of the hotel. The double rooms are not very attractive I must say. My bed was very uncomfortable and no fridge in the rooms. In summer it is very problematic as you can’t have cold water or drinks in the room. Also no air conditioning or ventilator in the rooms which makes it very hard to sleep in hot summer period. You can’t open the window because all the rooms equipped with en-suite facilities have the main street view that makes a lot of noise. WiFi was very problematic almost no connection for days. Breakfast was OK.
- Expat1198 (6/5): Good price+ location, decent breakfast, indifferent unfriendly check-in, terrible linens - The german language reviews about this hotel are pretty accurate: complaints about a dark hotel, no availability for check-in either in person or via phone; no availability for questions or issues either, are right on the money. We were lucky in that we were there just as the "manager" ? was leaving -- we were definitely viewed as an intrusion rather than as a paying guest to be welcomed. We learned upon checking out that our rooms were reserved in the main hotel - but that's not what we got - so be aware: no free wi-fi is available in rooms outside the main hotel. Due to the treatment at check-in our expectations for the hotel plummeted, so we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and decent breakfast with good coffee served to us in the morning. That and the size of the rooms as well as the moderately clean rooms, are the reasons this hotel received as high as an average rating. The bed linens need to be upgraded to a 3* hotel quality and not hand-me-downs from mom that you'd find in a 16 year old azubi's apartment. The 'manager' needs lessons in customer service : puffed up with his own self-importance he treated the employees and the customers in the same rude, surly, irritated manner. Better yet, find a new manager. Fazit: would not recommend this hotel in the off-season, perhaps during the summer months the service is better.
- 546oddvard (10/5): 1 week in Halberstadt. - A price noone can compete with.
Hotel Sankt Florian has nice rooms, execellent cervise and staf that is there for you.
In the restaurant on ground floor i had the best steak i habe tasted in a long long time.
- Crewboy (8/5): Sleeping in Halberstedt - Nice clean rooms, with new furniture in retro style. We got a large room with very comfortable beds. The only thing missing, according to my wife, was a hairdryer. Free parking at the back, nice breakfast, and very friendly staff. Room rates were very reasonable and good location. Can definitely recommend this hotel to others passing by. Restaurant and bar on ground floor.
