Guest Reviews
- Garling Prud'homme (9/5): Great value, nice views, clean room, great location, friendly staff. - Location was perfect. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good, but on the expensive side. The only parking was in the public garage, about a 10 minute walk away. Not an easy place to drop off bags. Wish I had known about this ahead of time. Still an awesome place to stay, but a little difficult if you’re driving.

- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gavin (8/5): Quiet location. - The location was really nice, the apartment was comfortable. Little bit expensive.
- Cindy (10/5): Pleasant spot right next to a lovely shady park - Comfortable place for a group of four who like to walk :-)
- Irena (5/5): Passable - The owner was very enthusiastic and kind, and made us feel welcome. The property could really benefit from a deep clean, as some areas didn't feel as fresh as expected. Also, while free parking was advertised, we weren’t able to use it because the space was occupied throughout our stay. With a few improvements, this could be a great place to stay.
- Jevgeni (7/5): Good -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect It was hard to find the apartment door, since we didn’t have its number on the address that was given to us. We spent 1h finding it
- Tim (8/5): Very nice, quiet area. Definitely recommend using bikes (if you do not rent a car) as was a 10 minute bike to the free - The apartment was very clean, in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Right beside a park and tennis courts. Beds were comfortable and good space for a family of four to relax at the end of each day. They also allowed us to store our luggage early at the apartment before it was ready to check in. No freezer compartment in the fridge. (No ice). No microwave, no stove or oven (when we booked it was listed, they did explain, new restrictions are in place and had to make it now inoperable). Also it says there is a 24 hour front desk which is not accurate. We asked for ice at 10pm and was told it was too late (and that response was the next day). The ad also calls it a bed and breakfast but there is no breakfast, as this is an apartment.
- Anne (10/5): Long weekend family break in Amsterdam. - Peaceful location yet close to amenities and transport links. Very well equipped apartment - comfortable beds - excellent shower. Would definitely book again - highly recommended. Nothing at all
- Ann (8/5): Clean and fun stay but maybe not best location to explore Amsterdam. - This little home was immaculate, welcomed our dog and was right next to a beautiful park for long dog walks. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and the owner welcomed us and helped us get in. We were able to use the TV to watch our own Netflix account, which was nice - Wifi was good, location was interesting being close to the action but not paying high prices. The location is good - but you will need a car or bikes to easily get to the ferry to the city (which is free, fast and super easy) - We wished we'd had bikes because even off the ferry into Amsterdam you have to walk a ways to attractions. The food options near the house are limited, restaurants were closed or wouldn't let us order over the phone for pick up and we couldn't find anyone to deliver pizza OR order takeout. Stay in main Amsterdam for better food options. As you know, you cannot cook in the house but we did like the hard-egg cooker for breakfast.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Sarrah (10/5): Beautifully design space - What a beautiful place! This was by far the most well designed space we stayed in during our trip to Europe. Spacious and stylish, we felt quite fancy.
The apartment is located close to shops and restaurants and a park for walking and sports. Our host was extremely kind and gracious, it felt more like visiting a friend than a stay at a strangers place. I'm sad we were only able to stay for one night. We will definitely stay again if our travels take us near there.
- Shannon (9/5): Great place to stay in Amsterdam! - We had a lovely stay at the apartment, we had 2 couples and the place was just the right size for the 4 of us. We really liked the suggests that the host provided and the personal touch with welcoming us to the apartment.
Although the apartment isn’t right in the thick of it, we enjoyed that, as we wanted somewhere a little more quiet and out of the city. We didn’t have much to complain about, only thing to be aware of is that this apartment is below the hosts home, so there was the occasional knock on the door and sound from upstairs.
- Anonymous (9/5): Great apartment in a lovely quiet location and with good facilities. - The property was clean, spacious and just on the edge of a park, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There was a great cafe bar just round the corner and is about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop that takes you near the free ferry crossing into the city. The nearest supermarket is about a 20 minute walk away but there are other smaller shops nearby. Not for people who want to be in the heart of the action.
- Hernani (10/5): Great place. Nice to get to know Noord Amsterdam and the house was brilliant! -
- Joel (10/5): clean, comfortable and the hosts were outstanding. thank you! - he we at location with easy access to train.
- Rosie (10/5): Exceptional - Bart and his wife were both very helpful and accommodating. The apartment was lovely. The location is about a 10/15 minute walk from the train station and the train is one stop from Amsterdam central. Everything about the place was lovely and great hosts. Thank you
- Debby (9/5): A wonderful stay in a lovely part of Amsterdam. - Gorgeous apartment in a lovely quiet residential area. Not far from the city but felt like a different world! Very stylishly designed and comfortable for our family of 4. It’s a fair walk from the free ferry stop. This wasn’t a problem for us really but it is important to note this for future guests.
- Jiao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): Great experience for all the family in a leafy area of Amsterdam! - The owners were friendly and really helpful.
The neighbourhood was peaceful. The local pub near the lock was superb - great food and atmosphere. Apartment was ideal for my partner and I and our two young children. The walk to the Metro was a bit far for our two children on the odd occasion. However, we were aware of this when we booked. Plus there was a great ice cream shop half way so we could make a pit-stop sometimes! Also, I’d still rather have been in Noord than central Amsterdam.
- Pavlo (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): We loved the design of the place and the host was extremly nice and helpful - we loved the design of the place. It is obvious that it’s been done by someone with style. It is modern and stylish and nicely represents the country we came to visit, which is something I appreciate. My favourite is the R. painting in the bedroom😊 We come from a small town so maybe not used that everything is so far. Amst. city is big! If going somewhere a car or a bike is definitely nedeed.
- Lesley (10/5): wonderful, friendly and relaxing. - The location was amazing and felt typically Dutch. It was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. It took about 30 minutes to walk to the free ferry which was a wonderful way to reach the city centre.
- Wei (10/5): nice and cozy - nice cozy place, each to reach Amsterdam center to avoid parking in the busy city
- Dautrive (9/5): clean and tidy. Nice owner who was there to greet - slightly away from centre of Amsterdam accessible by train or bus. then a walk through a park to get to the accommodation we were in a group but the walk through the edge of the park at night. however lots of bikes around
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (9/5): Great stay, we’ll be back! - Great modern apartment in noord Amsterdam. Faces parkland and 10 minute cycle to ferry. Bart (owner) was very helpful with local recommendations & we loved our stay! Nothing
- Alberto (10/5): very nice! - Very nice place, easy to reach the city center, owner friendly with lots of suggestions
- Marcin (9/5): Superb - Great, quiet place next to the city park. Good access by metro or ferry to the city center and friendly owner.
- Simmons (9/5): Lovely Place to stay outside of City - Lovely ground floor apartment in pretty village area next to a park - great little neighbourhood well worth exploring as an alternative to going into the City. Apartment is a 20min walk from the Metro - alternatively there is a complex route from Central Station via the ferry, bus then 15min walk through the park, which seemed longer when you have heavy luggage & it is raining - not recommended for disabled or those arriving in the dark...get a cab!
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (5/5): nice place close to the parc and easy to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Also a nice appartment but because of the buildi - Location directly in front of a parc and 10-15 minutes walk to the Metro Station very nice for families or people with a dog. just one Station to Amsterdam Central Station. the next appartment to our appartment was under construction, a big building place. therefore very loud and noisy in the morning starting at 7:30am. not possible to sleep a bit longer. We also had a scaffold in front of our appartment which limited the view and light. And the building itself was poorly soundproofed, we could hear the people on the first floor walking around from 7/7:30am onwards.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - A modern but very cozy and comfortable apartment. We loved it! Perfect for our family of four but I'm pretty sure I could accommodate two more.
Top quality amenities and facilities. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Bart and his family are received us well and felt welcomed. You have pretty much everything you need for a perfect stay.
Around a 15 minute walk to the free ferry to cross to the city center.
- Katarzyna (8/5): Very good - The owner is very friendly and accommodating. He even organised bikes for us as a compensation for the planned construction works in the morning. The bikes were perfect to explore the lovely neighbourhood.
- Neil (9/5): great fun - clean and comfortable not that close to centre - but that was made clear
- Dirk (9/5): Superb - Bart and Ingeborg were so friendly and very helpful! The apartment is really lovely right next to a park. Thanks a lot for being our hosts :-)
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
