Panicked slightly as didn’t get any contact from host until an hr after check in time and I was unsure if I had a place to stay or not when I arrived into Amsterdam.

• Nur (1/5): Cheater! Can’t trust property owner - When I first entered the property, it was under the ground floor and there’s an any window. I felt claustrophobic and I had a panic attack so immediately write to the property owner. They said that it’s OK. I can check out the day after and I made another booking from another place and they never turb back after that day. We were defrauded.

• K•Mac (10/5): A hidden gem - I'll stay here every time if they have vacancies! - The room was lovely and big, very tidy and had everything we needed, including a very nice coffee machine. Bed was huge and comfortable, and the shower was really good. Considering the location it was very quiet, a few noises from the rooms above but nothing that disturbed us or kept us awake. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is genuinely lovely on the inside. Great location, next to both a tram and an underground station for transport links into the city centre and outwards to the airport. A hidden gem. There was nothing we didn't like. Maybe provide sugar with the coffee machine but I'm really clutching at straws with that criticism!

Sconsigliabile tutto il resto - posizione ottima la doccia non scaricava quindi si riempiva d'acqua anche la zona lavabo, e abbiamo dovuto asciugare con i vari asciugamani Su nostra richiesta sono intervenuti senza risolvere nulla., se non altro ci hanno rimesso gli asciugamani. odore di fumo di sigaretta nel corridoio comune, trovavamo sempre una finestra deo corridoio aperta . Una piantana dell'abat-jour rotta. Ovviamente la foto che appare sul sito è riferita forse alla loro migliore stanza La nostra non aveva tavolino Inoltre la mostra sranza era nel piano di sotto Avevano , in verita, un minisculo cortiletto con un tavolo e due sedie, ma non godibile a ottobre inoltrato in Olanda. Dei tre gradini di entrata uno era rotto sul lato. Una mano di pittura dei corridoi sarebbe necessaria.

• Federica (3/5): - Comoda per arrivare in centro Appena arrivati ci accorgiamo che mancava la carta igienica, shampoo e bagnoschiuma, i cuscini erano macchiati e nella coperta del letto c'era attaccato un cerotto e sotto al letto delle cartacce. La terrazza a disposizione era sporca e nel bagno non andava giù l'acqua nella doccia quindi abbiamo dovuto aprire lo scarico a mano, inoltre non funzionava nemmeno la ventola in bagno. I mobili non erano puliti e le prese elettriche sporgevano dal muro. E la cosa è che siamo arrivati alle 10 ad amsterdam e la stanza ci è stata data alle 14.30 perché la stavano pulendo...

• Stephen (8/5): Clean compact room, good location and a top spec finish. - Lovely clean little room with quality appliances. Modern bathroom with waterfall shower, Dyson airblade fan, kettle, fridge, coffee machine with complementary pods and a small outdoor area with a table and a couple of chairs.Bakery, cafe, shop and metro station all less than one minute away. There is a lack of plugs with only one adaptor with 3 sockets. The bed is too soft, like trying to sleep on a trampoline and the outdoor area is a little dirty so it is best to leave shoes at the door when coming back in the room.

No tengo queja alguna, si es poner algo. El televisor no quiso funcionar, porq no lograba conectarse al wifi.

This place does not have a lobby or reception, expect your stay to be similar to an airbnb experience with self check-in and such. The bedding was not very comfortable.

Certaines finitions non faites dans la chambre et le chemin jusqu’à la chambre est « sale » . On entendait enormement les personnes dans l’appartement en haut. Et malheureusement on est tombé sur des personnes faisant du bruit jour comme nuit.
• Mert (1/5): Stay away, this place ruined our amsterdam trip. - Avoid this place at all costs. This was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. The apartment is nothing like the photos – it was extremely dirty, smelly, and poorly maintained. The stairs are insanely steep, narrow, and there are way too many of them, which is not mentioned in the description. It’s impossible for anyone with health issues. The bathroom was unhygienic and smelled awful, and the sheets did not seem clean at all. We felt uncomfortable the entire stay. The host was unresponsive and did not help with any of the issues. Do not book this place. It will ruin your trip. Spend your money elsewhere.

At first, we couldn't reach the host. 20 min later, she wrote back that she would bring the spare keys. 2 hours later, the keys were left in the padlock, but we were not infirmed and the combination changed. Once again, waited 10 min for a reply. No AC.

• Axel (8/5): Very good - Awesome location, within walking distance from most everything that is typically explored in the city. Also, the bakery next door is perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The stairs leaving up to the apartment are verrrry steep. Try to limit your luggage to the minimum, otherwise you're gonna be schlepping.
• Temirlan (1/5): Bad - I had a very bad experience at B&B Midtown. When I arrived around 5 PM, I had no check-in instructions and couldn’t reach anyone. I waited outside for 1.5 hours trying to contact the property. My calls were declined, and only after several messages on WhatsApp did someone finally respond around 6:30 PM. When I entered the room, it was not ready at all. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, it was dirty, towels were left on the floor, and the bed was unmade. Additionally, I had booked a room with a terrace, but was given a completely different room. The owner promised me a refund because of these issues, but I have not received anything. Now I waited for 2 weeks, and still I didn't receive any refund. This was a very disappointing experience and completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this property.
• Halliday (5/5): Passable - The location is great. My room was a good size and included a fridge and coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods. And a working smart tv. The listing said there is on-site parking and my decision to stay here and pay what I paid was based on this. There is no on-site parking: When I asked the host about how to access the on site parking, the response was "I have no parking included you can just park infront of the door or in parking lot". Parking is near impossible on the nearby streets and nearby parking lots are extremely expensive. I had to use park and ride which took me over an hour to go and park and catch a tram back to the property. In addition to this, the only bedding provided was a fluffy duvet / blanket, in the middle of a hot summer, which is impossiblly hot to sleep under, even with the duvet inner removed. I asked the host for a sheet instead and received no reply. I had to use a towel as a sheet. I asked again the next day and received no response. Final note is that the property needs some maintenance, for example the bathroom door handles are unattached so the door could not be pulled closed as handle would fall off.

It’s conveniently located close to the city center and near a metro station, which made it easy to reach the airport. The place was clean and had the basic things needed for a short stay, including coffee and tea. There’s a good bakery nearby that’s perfect for breakfast. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow.

• Betsy (3/5): Disappointing. Lack of transparency and claimed quality - The location. This property has a lot of potential but there is a clear lack of care and transparency from the owner. As a property owner myself, I feel being transparent on the pro’s AND con’s as well as addressing issues brought up by guests is what makes the experience well beyond the location. Lack of transparency The smell Lack of repairs to broken items Lack of customer service Details below. This is not a B&B. It’s a room in a musty basement that needs a dehumidifier. I would have been happy with a basement room if the description was honest about this and the price matched this. There was some kind of sewage back up on our last day that brought an unbearable smell into the room. I asked for a refund for just one night. She agreed so I booked another place and then she refused to give me the refund bc there wasn’t actual sewage in the place. I guess smelling it isn’t enough. The room was clearly done on the cheap and if you read other reviews, all the items I list below that are broken or need addressed, others mentioned MONTHS ago. Shame on me for not reading those reviews. -broken chair so you can’t sit (just remove it!) -there was broken glass on the bed from the light fixture being broken by cleaning or someone else - the shower backup immediately - toilet paper holder was broken - the room was humid and musty smelling but if you opened up the window fruit flies came in. -then as mentioned, on the 2nd to last day we came back a horrific sewage smell coming from the hallway. -there was a homeless man sleeping on the steps that we had to ask to move to get inside. Overall the location is AMAZING and this place has so much potential but repairs need addressed, it needs an air circulation and it needs a description that is honest.

Otherwise everything was correct. Also some additional cutlery than a fork would have been ideal. There was also sounds when the window was open as there was a bakery just below.

• Thomas (6/5): Good location but property needs some repairs - It was great having the tram stop and train station right out the front door. As previously mentioned by other reviews there were a number of things that need repair that would have changed my rating of the property. - The shower did not drain so you would have to either use low water pressure or turn the shower off during your wash to let it drain. - The bathroom door handle was broken on both ends and kept coming off so we couldn’t close the bathroom door properly. - The bathroom sink design unfortunately would mean water would run off the bench a lot. - One of the chairs in front of the bed to watch the TV had a broken leg so it couldn’t be sat on properly. - One of the powerpoints on the side of the bed looked unsafe as it was not affixed to the wall (it was hanging out of the wall).

I had another person say contact this person they can help. Finally got into property at after 6. A lovely bakery is next door. Although small, the room was clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced for Amsterdam. The details on self-check in were provided very late by the owner, only after we messaged. The weather was unusually very hot during our stay, a fan would have made the nights more comfortable.

Shower swamps with water so have to turn off intermittently so drains. Can hear other guests.

Handy to have local shops, and resturants meaning we explored areas we hadnt on previous visits. Was great to have shampoo and items in the room as well as coffee machine. Lovely little bakery underneath. Host gave us details in advance and then deleted information until 3pm on the day of check in, very stressful not knowing that you are able to get into the accomodation. But got the information resent after check in time meaning we could check in and know we had somewhere to stay for the adventures. Outside of building doesnt look like pictures and the court yard was nowhere to be found.

• Sofía (7/5): Be ready for lots of stairs - Great location, the bed was incredibly comfortable! We received no instructions prior to our arrival on how to enter the building. We were knocking on what we thought were the door bells for over 15-20min while waiting for the owner to call back. She then sent us a video on how to get the keys and access the room. She was kind but it was annoying that we were left outside without indications.
• Guy (8/5): Great place to stay for couples. Highly recommend - The beds, pillows, and linens we're very comfortable. The location was excellent - right next to the metro, plenty of nearby points of interest. We almost exclusively walked. Room was clean. Room layout was excellent. Heating in the room worked very well. There was no soap in the dispenser. Told the staff - but it was not refilled throughout our 5 night stay. The rooms are not very well insulated for sound - we had a couple of noisy neighbours which was a bit annoying at times.

Easy access to train and tram. Great cafe next door. The room was spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom and good hot water. Didn't like the nylon bed sheets that had cigarette burn holes in. Why not clean fresh white cotton linen ???. Lovely new bathroom but not designed for men - No shaving point and strange sink that you can't plug to hold hot water to have a shave ?!! On finding the building we were shocked at its outside appearance with spray graffiti on the wall and litter around front door. Maybe it's meant to be a trendy look?

• Maia (9/5): Superb - A very pleasant stay at B and B Midtown suites. I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights. The room was very comfortable, modern, and the location was fabulous. The check-in instructions were easy to follow and the host very helpful. Overall, a great little apartment; great value for money! Under the bed was a little bit dirty (with some cigarettes) and there weren't any mugs or plates provided. Apart from that, a lovely stay! Thanks.

The host quickly answered questions I had send by message prior to my trip. Shower and bathroom, and overall size of the room was good. Having patio door was nice! I was not informed that a chair leg and bathroom door handle were broken prior to my arrival. I had to spend time communicating with the host about that and they knew it but didn't tell me. Bed 'linens' had multiple 'burn' marks on them. Because of other reviews, I was prepared for the very narrow stairs down to the room.

• Trang (8/5): Very good - The room is clean and quiet. Metro and tram stations are right outside. The adjacent bakery is excellent. Our room is on the 4th floor. The staircase are narrow and stiff.
• Mateusz (10/5): Exceptional - Great location! Trams and metro stops are in front of the flat! Really helpful neighbours and host! The apartment is clean, warm and classy! 10 mins max from the center. Shops and restaurants are close by! 100% recommended! :)

• Michael (3/5): Good location, room needs updating and a Fire Plan Required - Good location within the city No fire evacuation route, this was very concerning as there was no escape in the event of a fire and no signage or notification informing guests what to do in the event of a fire. There are 4 cracked tiles in front of the shower cubicle which are both dangerous and unhygienic. It was very hot during our visit, there is no Air-con which we knew about however a request for a fan was not granted. Upon opening the window there is a consistent loud noise from a neighbouring generator which hummed all night which we found annoying. We checked out a day early because of the above as it was spoiling our experience of Amsterdam.

Wasn’t noise at night and tram and metro on your doorstep Lots of stairs but that was fine, found the door tricky to unlock at times until got the hang of it. Shower was lovely but did drip continuously when turned off
