Guest Reviews

- Lindsey (8/5): - Nice spacious apartment to use as a base for a few days. Good location, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. A few issues - the smoke alarm was uninstalled, the TV wasn't connected, there wasn't enough cutlery and it would've been nice to have hand soap in the bathroom.
- Noemí (6/5): - El espacio y la zona Faltaban sábanas, cucharas y tenedores.El tostador estropeado y la nevera caía agua todo el rato
- Kathryn (9/5): Great place to stay with friends! - Perfect space for our needs. Close to a train station and bus hub, as well as affordable grocery stores! Some of the mugs were a bit dirty when we arrived. Also it would have been nice to have a sponge.
- Stephanie (5/5): Disappointed tbh and I never write reviews as I don’t like to be down on peoples business, but generally wouldn’t recomm - Close to metro Door was wide open when we arrived, lock was broken meaning couldn’t really use the front door, it could be lovely but it wasn’t cleaned properly, corners were covered in spiders webs and dirt, fire alarm was also broken and beeping.
- Sadé (9/5): All in all a great place to stay and I would return and stay there again, the place was spacious, gorgeous and clean. Cl - It was exactly as pictured, very spacious, stylish and comfortable. Close proximity to the metro and trams so it was easy to get around, not far from the airport or the city center. The hot water was broken, which we were informed of when we arrived but I feel like that should have been sorted before we got there. The lighting isn’t great as there’s no windows with natural light and the glass door opens to the street so you can’t open there or you’d have no privacy.
- Kostreva (7/5): Good -
- Tatiana (3/5): no widows, no ventialtion, no view - the studio is large this is actually a private flat that is advertised on booking.com as a 3 star accomodation. The flat has no windows, the only way to get air in is to open a door to the street with pedestrians. the air is stiff and it was quite hot inside. the fan did not help much as it just moves the air. the flat has no ventilation system (or it does not work) and having no windows does not help. there is no view, as the flat faces the street with traffic, and is at the same level with it. literally you enter right from the street into the property. it is also dark, we kept the curtains shut as otherwise there is no privacy. also the toilet shirm provides no sound isolation whatsoever. the are is emtry. no cafes in less than 10 min proxiity. would not recommend especially for the money.
- Hiwa (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (4/5): We enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam and seeing the city, but the accommodations could have been more comfortable. Location - The property is in decent condition. It was a pretty good location. It was clean. Bathroom was clean and nice. Bed was reasonable comfortable. There was a thermostat that apparently does nothing for room temperature. The furniture while the same in the pictures seems well worn and is certainly not as nice. The tv has to be plugged in to an extension cord on a rheel with multiple plugs. Place has no ability to open up for ventilation for outside air and was very stuffy. The initial instructions were confusing with multiple messages that indicated to do different things. Lighting could have been better as well.
- Mac (7/5): All in all, this was a good choice for us. Better information would help bookers make the right choice. For us this plac - It was a good base camp for a 4-day visit to Amsterdam for our young family. Transport links were very good. The site misled us about three things:
1. The property is not at 121 Jan Tooropostraat, but 119
2. We didn’t realize when booking that it was a ground floor apartment opening out onto the street
3. We thought there was some kind of wall / divider between the two sleeping areas.
Lastly, the couch beds are old, uncomfortable, and should be replaced.
- Şevval (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wesam (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable and good area
- Michael (6/5): Disappointed. Photos show better days. Now it’s got marked up walls, stained couch, moldy shower, dead plant, and other - Spacious and bright, and I appreciated the binder full of recommendations. Close to Rembrandtpark. Opens right onto the street with no windows that open (not advertised this way) and terrible air circulation (three fans running even when it’s 16 outside). Not nearly as designer high-end as the photos suggest, with stains on the couch and marked up walls. Bathroom door is a joke. No hooks and only one towelbar.
- Krisztian (6/5): Fair, but wouldn’t stay here again. - The tram station was close by, and a bike rental place, which was convenient. More lights would be needed in the apartment, as you enter straight from the street, you can only open that entrancedoor to get fresh air in. The two sofabeds in the living room are not comfy at all, they consist of two parts, so is not nice to sleep on it. I would recommend to put more hooks in the bathroom, as next to the sink you cannot hang your towels anywhere. Also a light above the mirror could do. Bathroom door is a sliding door only, so is not private at all, needs to be changed for a proper door.
- Dyadyura (8/5): Very good - God design and location.
- Turan (10/5): good value and clean - clean, modern and a new studio. very close to supermarket (lidl) and some small restaurants no oven or kettle, there are many items around that can be a bit dangerous for the little ones. so we had to move the things up temporarily.
- Anne (10/5): Great Value stay in the outskirts of Amsterdam. - It's one big spacious room with a large bed on a stepped-up area with sliding door to a modern shower room. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and as good friends, it was perfect for us. Brilliant value for money! The sliding door could do with a handle on the inside to place it more easily.
- Chantal (10/5): Exceptional - Very convienantly located near the Metro. Spacious. Great accommodation. Responsive and helpful host.
- Alice (7/5): Nice apartment, good location. - The apartment is very cool and designed and furnished nicely. The main bed was comfortable, and the facilities were nice. 5 minute walk to the tram which takes you straight into the city area which was fantastic. The apartment is quite warm and the fans don't cool the room down so with 4 of us it was quite warm, the bathroom door isnt ideal as it comes off the runners, and doesn't block much noise. But okay for a few days.
- Choot (9/5): Quiet zoom yet easy to access - Easy access to the tram station. Smooth check in and check out process. A big living room where we can pack our luggage easily.. The double bed is ok but the sofa bed is too soft. We are having some issues using the shower but the house owner sorted it out very fast. It is perfect if the shower area is with the door.
- F_torres (5/5): Passable - The apartment is very well connected using public transportation to all major tourist attractions in the city, it is also a comfortable open space for a family of 4 or even 5. Fair price for the space. Owner was there when we arrive and he was very friendly. It’s a residential area so not too much to do around there We found poor air circulation inside the apartment. we have to open the front door to the street for a few hours before going to bed to get some fresh air -no windows can be open-.
Also there was a lot of dust under the bed and the sofa bed so we sneeze a lot inside the apartment; Sheets were clean but rug, like no softener is used to wash it, so it was not that pleasant to sleep in. Thankfully it was the end of our vacation and we were very tired every evening, so overall we sleep well.
- Adrianabaronrozo (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is perfect for a great family stay
- Nikki (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (9/5): Truly lovely spacious apartment, well connected - The apartment was in a good location, within a short walking distance to the tram and well connected.
The aesthetic of the apartment was WOW, really thoughtfully designed and it is clear Daan who owns the apartment has good taste! Homely, modern, quirky and cool. The guest book had plenty of recommendations, one which we wandered to, a lovely coffee place nearby. Nice, quiet area, perfect retreat to come home to after a wild time in Amsterdam.
- Violeta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roman (9/5): Superb - great price and location! the design is really beautiful the door to the toilet was just an imitation of the door.😁 extraneous sounds sometimes amused, but it would be better if the door could close tightly
- Matthew (8/5): enjoyable weekend with a spacious base to stay. - spacious, homely, good location no cooking facilities.
- Anonymous (9/5): Already planning next stay - Perfect appartment, very helpful host The towels and bed sheets could be better quality
- Kumar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fern (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mia (8/5): Very good -
- Tahsin (8/5): Very good -
- Besian (7/5): καλη - nice apartment with Street view good design very comfortamble for 3 or 4 people in a quiet area ! The towels didn't smell very nice. also for the toilet you can change the door because is very close to bed.
- An010ka (8/5): Very good -
- Javad (8/5): Very good - Spacious studio. Perfect place for short break for family of 4. Easy access to central Amsterdam by tram or metro.
- Vikki (8/5): Very good - Nice size apartment in quiet area, comfortable for family. Close to parks and transport links. Bus stop close by. Supermarkets and restaurants near. Was very warm when we stayed, but had fans available to use. If staying longer than a few days could do with a few more bits of cutlery and plates.
