• simin (8/5): Nice stay for family with young kids - The host was very nice and accommodating. The little is well decorated and maintained. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The Continental breakfast was pretty good. The backyard has a kid's playground. It's a very nice experience for the family with young kids. The house is built with wood so you cant find absolute quietness when people are moving in the house. But everyone was very respectful so it's not a problem. It's slightly far from the national Park but still within 10min drive. So nothing that I really don't like.

Outre cela, le plancher qui craquait au sous-sol, nous rendait mal à l'aise, car nous avions peur de réveiller les autres lorsque nous allions aux toilettes la nuit.

• Jennifer (10/5): Un séjour qui vaut le détour. - L’accueil était très chaleureux! Nos hôtes nous ont rapidement mis à l’aise. Ils sont généreux et très gentils. Nous avons passée un agréable moment en leur compagnie. Finalement, les déjeuners sont vraiment savoureux et servis avec amour. Je n’hésiterai pas un instant à y retourner si je passe à nouveau dans le coin!

Accès a la cour extérieure, avec un bbq, un feu, et de magnifiques balançoires. Il y a aussi un espace de jeu pour les enfants. A qq minutes du centre-ville. Déjeuner gaufres et fruits, pains et céréales.

Merveilleux séjour. C est une suggestion davantage qu'un reproche: il faudrait peut être une toilette de plus pour accommoder tout le monde quand le gîte est à pleine capacité.

Such a wonderful breakfast with pancakes, blueberry cake. And a large plate of fruit. Coaticook itself is a nice place as well with beautiful surroundings (parks, farms, mountain views), totally underestimated in Quebec. Unfortunately we only had one night there but we would have loved to stay longer

• Starr Dolber (8/5): It was the most affordable in the area and convenient to Foresta Lumina. - Super clean room with shared bath in the basement with a sitting room and coffee maker. Gracious host and a hearty breakfast. We would have liked some protein at breakfast. It was mostly carbs and fruit (really good fruit!).

Nous nous sommes senti tout de suite les bienvenues et il n'y avait pas lieu d'être gênés, ce qui peut représenter une crainte lors d'un séjour dans un B&B. Le déjeuner était délicieux, nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse extérieure. Au niveau du confort, il faut admettre que le lit était dur, ce qui par contre n'était pas un point négatif pour moi. Au final, la chambre était paisible et confortable. Ce n'est rien de très grave, mais une machine à eau au sous-sol aurait été apprécié.

• Pethead (10/5): A home away from home in historic Coaticook - I had been hoping to stay at the Gîte au p'tit bonheur for some time. It always looked great on Booking.com. But it was always booked on the dates I needed it. Finally, I had my chance last week. It was everything I needed and everything I liked. It was exactly as advertised. Nicely appointed rooms, comfortable beds, a dog friendly environment, reasonable rates, friendly hosts... All that plus an excellent breakfast of coffee, warm croissants with salted caramel and an assortment of fresh fruit, all served early as I'd requested. It really was a home away from home in beautiful and historic Coaticook. Merci, Patrick et Nathalie!

Le jardin était magique avec les petits oiseaux qui chantaient pendant nos petits-déjeuners. Notre fille a pu profiter des modules de jeux. La chambre était très confortable et la salle de bain très propre. Beaucoup d’info sur la région avec des dépliants et guides à disposition. Tout proche de Foresta Lumina, la laiterie Coaticook, et du centre ville. Super bon déjeuner ! On a été vraiment agréablement surpris! Absolument rien.
• Julian (9/5): Very nice home stay with a chance to meet real people. - This is a bit of a complicated review....at first, I was a little taken aback..this is a house and they rent out the basement. I guess I didn't read the details. When we arrived, we hesitated but past reviews have been good. The office is set up in the living room. This is an old style B&B similar to ones I have stayed in many time in Europe. I rant about corporate travel and sterile experiences and here I was, hesitating. I didn't hesitate in Morocco or the very odd place in England where we ate breakfast with the family. They had grandchildren coming over for supper. The back yard is a playground. The place is spotless. The tree rooms downstairs have a nice sitting area. They have thought of a million details. The bed is comfortable. Wait until they as if you want breakfast downstairs in the sitting area, in their kitchen or outside on the back deck. Wait until you see the breakfast: fresh fruit, very good croissants, juice coffee and more. There is even a coffee maker downstairs all set up and ready to go, with real coffee, milk in the refrigerator. There are tons of books. The husband is bilingual but the wife may not be. She was busy in the kitchen. He waited for me to start conversations. The three rooms downstairs share a bathroom but we were the only guests. That could be a problem but that also can improve an experience. We have had shared baths in Sweden a few years ago and at other times before.

• Menachem (2/5): Extreme lack of transparency in the description of the property. - Some things were fine: the televisions, the internet, the breakfasts, the shared shower (but a shower and toilet in one room for seven people is not comfortable) If I had known - even by a hint - that the landlord was going to put me in a basement underground, which is accessed by narrow and dangerous wooden stairs, some without a railing - I would not have rented the place. If only my wife and I had arrived - we would have left after 10 minutes. But we invited my daughter and her family from the other end of Quebec and they drove five and a half hours. Would he host his 78-year-old mother in this basement? Later it turned out that a whole family lived above us, with noisy children and a baby who never stopped wailing. The ceiling is so thin that we heard every conversation, every water drop, every chair move - unbearable! Only for masochists!

• heyang (8/5): - The location was great - although it's a small town but I still liked the location. It was quite and nice area. The staff was helpful and nice. I liked the fact that the room was clean and really well organized. They also offered a bunch of entertainment like books and movies. I did not notice that this was a shared bathroom hotel - this was on me as we had to change our plans last minute so it was a bit hard to find another hotel that fits our plan. This has nothing to do with the hotel but rather I think they had provided sufficient information on the details of the room. Just a reminder to anyone who may not be okay with shared bathroom. The other thing is that the rooms are located in basement - again, just a reminder.
