• Roger (6/5): A little expensive for what it now offers. - The location is a very upmarket area. Incredible houses nearby. All with security screens and the associated “ don’t even think about it “ implications. Normal people would not live here. Walking my dog was interesting. Lots of well kept footpaths that intersect the area. 5 minutes of the main highway. Very convenient. I have stayed there at various times over the last 3 years on the way to Sweden. It is showing signs of ageing. Needs a bit of TLC. A bit of”functional” rather than friendly. It is right next to a bistro bar ( in the back garden ). Never open when I have been there, but would certainly be intrusive if it was.

La pulizia dei pavimenti e camera in generale non era fatta molto bene! La prima sera sono arrivato tardi e la casa era tutta completamente al buio! Peccato!
• Elisabeth (8/5): Nice - Friendly and welcoming host, a beautifully maintained garden and terrace, and a cozy yet spacious living room. The extra-large beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay overall. As we appreciate very spotless accommodations, we did notice that the floors could benefit from a deeper clean.
• Zwanette (7/5): heerlijk genoten met erg mooi weer - De locatie was schitterend, met een prachtig uitzicht en een mooi huis. Het was ruim opgezet, met een grote kamer en een goede, al enigszins verouderde keuken. Daarnaast waren er veel fijne plekjes om buiten te zitten. Het had op sommige punten wel wat schoner gekund. Daarnaast kon onze kamerdeur niet op slot, omdat deze door vorige gasten kapot was gemaakt. Dat vond ik erg vervelend en gaf geen prettig gevoel. Ook beschikten we alleen over een bad waarin je niet comfortabel kon staan om te douchen. Bovendien ontbrak er een stang voor de handdouche, waardoor je deze continu moest vasthouden.

• sandra (5/5): Matig. Op de foto's ziet het erg fraaier uit dan dat het werkelijk is - De mooie tuin rond het huis De badkamer had een kapotte douchevloer en de deurkrenk zat los. De accomodatie vergt een opknapbeurten onderhoud !

Veel te late bevestiging van het verblijf, waardoor geen ontbijt mogelijk was. Tuin niet afgesloten. Geen douche. Kleine mankementen. Tegenvallende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

• Wendy (9/5): Fantastisch verblijf! En hopelijk kunnen we hier vaker gebruik van maken. - Wat een mooie overnachting. Grote kamer. Fijne badkamer. Fijne bedden. Een gezamenlijke woonkamer en keuken. Waar we nog heerlijk ons 3e kerstdiner hebben kunnen eten. Gewoon super! Dan val ik toch over een vieze afzuigkap. Toch een keer schoon filter in doen.
• Claudia (10/5): We'd love to come back and stay a bit longer and with friends. - We stayed here for one night whilst travelling from UK to GERMANY and it was absolutely excellent. Beautifully appointed bungalow with very nice, clean facilities. We booked one room only but I can imagine staying here for a few days with friends and using the entire bungalow must be awesome We didn't actually see anybody but we arrived late and left early and had access through keycodes, so we did not need to wake anyone.

• roy (6/5): - Prima locatie voor ons bezoek Hygiene, douche putje van een van de kamers zat vol met haren. Algemene schoonmaak kan beter. Temperatuur veel te hoog. Kan wel 2 graden vanaf.

• Katrien (9/5): Aanrader! - Heel vriendelijke ontvangst - uiterst attente gastheer, heerlijk ontbijt. Heel goede ligging! Goed bed, mooie badkamer. En heel lekker gegeten in het Vreedehof letterlijk naast de deur. Niet echt iets. Heel klein detail: de toegangscode van o.m. de voordeur moet op de klink ingegeven worden. Daar hebben we - in het donker - toch wel even naar lopen zoeken. 😊

• peter (8/5): Enorm genoten - Het ontbijt was geweldig, heel vriendelijke mensen. Met vragen kon je heel goed terecht. Het restaurant ernaast was ook super goed en ze deden ook heel veel moeite. Dit was ook van hun familie. Super verblijf gehad. Dat er geen stopcontacten naast het ene bed voorzien waren. We hadden wel de 4 persoonskamer geboekt.

Attached restaurant looks fantastic (didn’t get a chance to dine there) plus a beautiful beer garden/ outside seating area. No shops nearby but this doesn’t detract from the room

• Rene (1/5): Bad - We are 4 weeks asking for the bill. We payed in the accomodation and didnt recieved till now the bill for Bookkeeping for the last night more. No answer, no help
• Tim (9/5): Very nice place to stay - Really nice house and surrounding garden. Room was spacious with modern furnishings. Shame we didn't arrive early enough to try the restaurant next door. Only issue was the bathroom door was difficult to close (Room 1).

• Roger (8/5): Ideal as a stopping point on a long journey with a dog. - Unusual. Basic, but all necessary items. Set in large garden, so easy to exercise my dog. Never met the owner. Usually you meet someone just to say “hi”. Only contact by phone.
• Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - The host was so nice and helpful anytime. The area was awesome so you could really rest after a long day. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything was organized well.
• Kurt (3/5): Poor - the rooms were clean and beautiful surroundings with restaurants nearby. despite it being relatively cold day, the rooms were overly hot. besides opening a window, there was no way of controlling the temperature. Since we were going out, we couldn't leave the windows open. In the morning, when someone walks through the hall, the sound really carries. So pretty much whenever the first guest(s) go in to the hallway is the time everyone is waking up. most disappointing was the complete lack of breakfast (and this for a bed and breakfast), not even a toast, no coffee, no tea, no water. and this while being in a price category, where you'd expect that.
• Olivia (7/5): Wonderful stopover - Beautiful house in lovely neighbourhood with lots of space to rest and relax when we broke our journey here. Fabulous shower. Very comfortable and pleasant space. Kitchen was not very well equipped. It just needs a few more things adding to make it useable as a self-catering space. Chopping boards, mugs, a kettle, kitchen scissors, oven trays etc....

• Willem (7/5): Good - The house is very nice, and the house is located in a good place, there are good restaurants near the house, a very comfortable bed and a very spacious bathroom. What I didn't like is that it's not a B&B, they don't provide food, the pillows stank, the corners are full of cobwebs, the entrance smells of humidity.

• Sabine (4/5): I will absolutely not stay there again. - The location was good. It was nice to have a kitchen. It was not very clean. In my room I could see a ton of hair from previous people, on the floor and the heating element in the bathroom. Nobody has wiped over that heating element in a long time. Random half used toilet paper rolls were left in the bathroom cabinets. Also, the kitchen is very poorly equipped. There were 2 large plates for 8 people who could technically stay at the house. There was no bread knife, no large cups, no workable dish towel. The one that was there was crusty and disgusting, as if somebody mopped the floor with it and put it back into the drawer. We stayed 6 nights and there was no cleaning, no change of towels or removal of garbage. In my room in apartment 3, upon arrival, I could not open any window or the patio door. The handle of the window was broken off and the patio door locked. I asked for the key but was not able to leave the patio door open all night, so no way to get air into the room overnight. I was told the window handle could not be fixed. During my stay it was super hot. I thought it weird that the bed was made up with winter flannel sheets. It was uncomfortable. Also, room 3 needs better lighting, super dark in there. While talking to the person in room 1, her TV shelf fell off the wall one night pulling out the TV cable. Even though the landlords were made aware immediately, nobody came to fix it. That person also ran out of toilet paper after day 1 and had to ask twice for more.
• Bonnie (7/5): Location perfect for us, quiet, just need to bring some supplies with you. - What breakfast? None of that or even coffee. I WISH there had been breakfast! Oh well. Quiet location, that was great! Nice yard and sitting areas. HOT water with great pressure! Could have BEEN breakfast lol or at least coffee. Problem with room I reported but nobody showed up to fix so no TV for a large chunk of my stay. Also it was unseasonably hot but fans would've helped. Also we didn't know what to do with the trash and after 7 days we had a LOT of it...... Instructions for that would've helped. There was a note about an "honor bar" but we couldn't find one so not sure what that was all about.

• Kevin (10/5): All I was looking for and more - Absolutely have to recommend this one. Not only do you get for this price a large room with own bathroom and private parking, but also the use of a well-equipped kitchen, a large living room, and a really large (front and) back yard, for example for spending time with friends. These additional spaces are shared with guests in possibly two other rooms, but during our five day stay we were the only guests (family of 4), so we basically got to our use a luxurious and recently renovated villa with enormous yard for the price of a single room. Some books and board games are provided for spending quality family time. Next door is a tavern held by the same owners for breakfast, lunch or dinner, if so desired. Very calm and high-class residential area, yet close to a major highway, which is perfect if you're traveling by car. Possibility to charge an electric or hybrid vehicle around the corner. Will definitely be staying here again on future holidays in this area of Belgium. If this isn't value for money, I don't know what is. Absolutely nothing to complain about. My expectations were already high, but they got exceeded.
