- Julie (10/5): Großglockner is soo beautiful and staying here makes it perfect - Perfect! The location is just on the foot of the Heiligenblut so easy to find. Private parking. The accommodation is well maintained and taken care of. The bed is super big and comfy with goosefeather pillow, shower is perfect and big. The terrace view is amazing! (We missed walking up with it now) Sandra, the owner is very kind and friendly. She shared a lot of infos on Großglockner. Our breakfast is superb! The eggs are from their farm you can taste its so fresh. And even the bacon and salami, butter and Liptauer a taste far more delicious than supermarket made. ❤️ Nothing.
- Henrik (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location with view of the valley from the windows and balcony. Superb breakfast with homemade bacon (Bauern Speck) and a nice selection for breakfast. Free coffee and tea all day. Sandra and her parents in law were extremely friendly and helpful tending to our every need/question. Thanks for making 2 night stay a wonderful one.
- Jüri (10/5): strongly recommended - everything you may need on leisure being in the mountain is presented. Info about local wonderful places, proper breakfast, cosy stay and as bonus the great view Nothing to declare
- Sherise (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean! Very friendly hosts - so accommodating. Thank you!!
- Caroline (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - you must stay here! :) - Fabulous FABULOUS place - I cannot recommend enough!!!! Our host was incredible - she was SO patient with our terrible German and was so lovely each morning at breakfast (she spoke enough English to get by but we really wanted to practice and she humored us). We felt so taken care of.
Our room was wonderful - we loved the balcony and the large room with multiple windows. The place had the feel of a typical Austrian guest house but with modern, renovated touches: a massive bathroom, high ceilings, glorious shower.
The breakfast with the homemade butter and eggs right from their own hens was absolutely spectacular. It was our favorite breakfast in Austria (not to mention the sweeping, gorgeous views of the valley both from our balcony and the breakfast room)
It was the little things as well - when she tidied our room, she always folded my pajama shirt and made everything so inviting and cozy.
The mini fridge was an added bonus along with the complimentary prosecco. We didn't want to leave. We absolutely LOVED our stay and we would absolutely return. Can't think of anything - it was a completely perfect stay and we so appreciated all the hospitality and friendliness of the host and her family! :)
- Janko (10/5): A wonderful stay in a magical location - A wonderful room with a great view, pleasant hosts, an enjoyable breakfast, the location is brilliant if you want to visit the Grossglockner road, there is ample parking The pillows were too soft for our liking, parking can get a bit crowded
- Marius (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Perfect mountain guest house! - Sandra was so welcoming and accommodating. She cooked us scrambled eggs in the morning from their farm, to add to the already delicious and comprehensive breakfast. Our room was big and comfortable and so clean. We had access to the balcony with the same stunning view as the breakfast room. This place was just perfect for us. We think the pictures don't quite do it justice! Just be aware if you are driving over the Großglockner high alpine road to reach the guest house that it closes in the evenings, according to the month of the year.
- Mathew (10/5): Fun, friendly and fabulous. - Breakfast was wonderful, varied and fresh and always a little something different from the day before.
Sandra and Herman are really friendly and fun.
The room was amazing, big and well equipped with a great view and a nice balcony.
The place is really warm (we went in winter). The bed was firm but comfortable and it was nice to have a duvet that wasn't just white like in most places 😆
The shower was excellent and the bathroom in general was excellent, smart and spacious.
We will stay again. Only a shame is they don't allow dogs as for us that would make it better as a "family". But that's fine, if you're there to ski it is easier without the dogs anyway.
- Mihai (10/5): Hidden gem! - The property is located looking at the beautiful valley and mountains, with absolutely breathtaking views. It was very easy to find, and Sandra welcomed us with a smile in her house. Our room was very spacious, clean and the views were stunning. All the ski slopes are near, restaurants and a small shop down in the village if you need anything. Don’t think twice when booking the property, is a hidden gem!
Thank you Sandra, we felt like home!
- Kreso (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts were super nice and helpful, would recommend this property :)

- Heather (8/5): Lovely B&B on Grossglockner road - Bedroom spacious (room 1) with fantastic view and a small balcony. Breakfast excellent. Great to have coffee machine available in lounge. Boot drying room was essential due to the rain. Host was very friendly and helpful. Liked everything but shower gel and shampoo would have been appreciated. No Wi-Fi for 2 days due to bad weather. Not able to walk into Heiligenblut.
- Jon (8/5): Very good -

- Ivan (10/5): Better than we could ever imagine! - Fresh and plentiful with many homemade dishes. Nice desert and a very good coffee machine. The dining area has the best view to the mountains and the city below.
- Ambjørg (10/5): Exceptional - This stay was a most pleasant surprise! I could hardly believe the wonderful room we got. Everthing sparkling new, clean and freshly decorated. The room was big, and the bathroom too. The beds were very comfortable. The view was just magnificent, both from the bedroom and the breakfast room. The photos don't give justice to the rooms - they are much better in real life.
The breakfast was good and the host a lovely welcoming person. If you need somewhere to stay in Heiligenblut, I will warmly recommend Pension Sonnleitner! Nothing not to like.
