• Birgit (10/5): Der Himmel auf Erden - Der Himmel auf Erden. AMAZING.Alkes fantastisch. Meerblick, Meeresrauschen, die Terrasse, Aufwachen im Bett mit direktem Meerblick, das Appartement selber wunderschön gemütliche und liebevolle durchdacht. Hier sollte man unbedingt mindestens 2 Tage plus übernachten.

• Mathias (9/5): Super Unterkunft! Sehr zu empfehlen! - Schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage! Man hat eine super Aussicht auf's Meer und kann sich bei gutem Wetter hervorragend in der Hängematte hängen lassen! Die Gastgeber denken selbst an kleine Details; das Zimmer war groß und geräumig! Apollo Bay ist nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt! Dort kann man gut regionales Essen zu sich nehmen und schöne Spaziergänge unternehmen. Eigentlich gibt es nichts zu meckern, da alles hervorragend ist. Nur ein Hinweis an alle Buchenden: die Auffahrt zur Unterkunft ist steil und auf Schotter! Dies sollte jedoch bitte nicht an einer Buchung hindern.
• Watts (10/5): Amazing stay by the beachfront - We really enjoyed our stay at Castaways Apollo Bay. The host Amy was super accommodating and helpful. The room was spectacular, with a great view of the ocean and thoughtful amenities. This place really is a gem! We will definitely come back next time we are in Apollo bay! None

• Lynne (10/5): Peaceful - just the rest I needed. - Perfect location - peaceful, quiet and loved the sea view and sound of the waves from the room. Liked everything!

• Angelika (9/5): - Dem Namen entsprechend abgelegen, aber mit traumhaftem Ausblick auf die Küstenregion. Problemloser Check-in mittels Schlüsselsafe und Code. Ca 10 Autominuten ins Zentrum Apollo Bay mit zahlreichen Restaurants. Prinzipiell aus unserer Sicht nichts. Vorsicht bei Anreise mit Navigation - die Anfahrt liegt an einer steilen Straße- unsere Navigation wollte uns zu weit führen, aber oberhalb von Castaways beginnt ein Straßenanschnitt, der nur mit Allrad befahren werden darf.

• Kim (10/5): Gorgeous, King with Ocean View - Great secluded spot, overlooking nature with a direct view of the ocean. Amazing Birdlife and had a crew of friendly Magpies and Sulpur Crested Cockatoos visit the back veranda. Great location, setup and thoughful amenities. Easy anytime check in and relaxed stay!

• David (8/5): Relaxing and a good unplug from the city. - The hammocks, the view and the location were stunning. Overall exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately we had noisy neighbours during our stay. They constantly played music or had videocalls on the terrase which was adjacent to ours.

A perfect space for a couple of nights exploring this part of the GOR. Apollo Bay is a 5 min drive down the road and has excellent food. The kitchen nook is small but I still managed to whip up some scrambled eggs

Great location too Only thing is to make sure you’ve got a suitable car for the gravel driveway. My car was probably a bit low and underprepared

• Cathy (5/5): Disappointing - The bed was super comfy and the shower was excellent. The view was fine but not very expansive. The kitchenware that was advertised was almost non existent. A kettle, microwave and glasses were provided: plates/bowls after we asked for some. Nothing to microwave food in; no cutting board, knives, can opener, corkscrew, condiments like salt pepper or oil: even if you wanted snacks like cheese with a wine you’d need to bring your own gear; very poor indeed. Instant coffee and third rate tea bags don’t really cut it. Not good value for the price as you have to eat out first every meal including breakfast. Not recommended.
• Jj (10/5): Wonderful, wonderful - We had a splendid time. Wonderful views, very well maintained, comfortable. There were plenty of free coffee and small snacks. The owners communication was professional. Huge rooms, great style We had a tiny issue with a water faucet that broke but the owner helped us out immediately. I'm not even sure if I should mention it under "dislike" since an outstanding apartment is characterized by just that: receiving instant help when you have an issue in your own little paradise.

• 206danif (10/5): Waves, cows, sunrises, tranquility and comfort. - The view is breathtaking, such a peaceful place. Cows in the paddock out the front, waves crashing on the beach at the bottom of the hill. Room beautifully furnished. Good quality linen, comfy king sized bed, microwave and great hot water and good water pressure. It had a heater and an outdoor verandah with a hammock to use. Doesn’t have a washing machine/dryer. Can drive and park at the door. Was just lovely. So peaceful. Highly recommend.

Good quality linen, extras like books, hammock, info about Apollo Bay, a friendly cow grazing at the front of the property, a lovely verandah and parking at the door. We could hear and sea the waves crashing and the sun rising. We just loved it. Would have been great to have a washing machine and dryer available for use.

• Don (10/5): Exceeded expectations. - Beautiful room. Amazing location and view. Close enough to see the waves on the beach, and far enough back to not hear any traffic noise from the highway. Just a quick drive into town for shops and restaurants.
• Rod (8/5): Quite location, comfortable and very clean. - The accommodation was simple but clean and comfortable. The size of items such a soap, shampoo etc was small. Most places are now using the large pump bottles.

• Hal (10/5): Great honeymoon location! - Beautiful location on a hill looking over the ocean. Excellent view of sunrises and awesome night views of the Milky Way. Accommodations were great and had all of the amenities we needed. The hammock and swing chairs are a great touch to a relaxing time on the porch. The host owner really takes care of you and although they live on the property, you receive all the privacy you need. The owner provides a nice welcome basket which was really appreciated. The bed could have been a little more comfy.

Self check in super easy and loved our stay. Hammocks are a bonus!! Only which that there was a bbq or way to cook up the delicious seafood we got but only a 5 min drive to town, would have loved cooking facilities so I didn’t have to leave at all.

Uncertainty over breakfast arrangements, given only cereal and tiny milk made available - so definitely not a continental breakfast. We ate out for breakfast. In comparison with three other places we stayed outside Melbourne, this was the poorest and the most expensive.
